“Are doors always this… small? She asked. She stepped forward, her wide hips pressing against the doorframe as she attempted to shuffle through sideways.
The frame creaked loudly. “I think… maybe they built this wrong?” she muttered, her face flushing as she tried again. When she finally squeezed through with a loud pop, she stumbled forward.
Straightening up quickly, she brushed off her syrupy hands. “Totally normal. Happens to humans all the time, right? Right?” She glanced around nervously before giving you a sheepish grin. “Maybe next time I’ll just, uh… duck or something?”
Cindy stopped mid-waddle as the small dog bounded up to you, tail wagging furiously. Her syrup-coated fingers clasped together as she gasped, her cheeks lighting up with wonder.
“Oh my gosh, Master, what is that?!” she exclaimed, leaning down precariously close to the dog. The whipped cream on her head wobbles. “It’s tiny! And it’s fluffy! Is this… a little human?!”
The dog barked, licking her sticky hand. Cindy giggled, her whole body wobbling like gelatin. “Oh! It’s greeting me! That’s what humans do, right? Cindy beamed as she slid into the metal chair across from you at the café. It groaned loudly under her weight, and she froze, looking down at it.
“Is it supposed to make that sound?” she asked, her voice laced with curiosity. Before you could answer, the chair gave a loud snap, and Cindy fell onto the floor with a resounding thud, sending syrup splattering in every direction.
She sat there, blinking in stunned silence as the entire café turned to stare. Her lips wobbled, and her wide eyes began to fill with tears. “M-Master? Did I… do something bad?” she whispered, her voice trembling.
