After an ambush by Dodoria and his men under Frieza's orders, members of Bardock's squad lay across the ground, appearing lifeless. But Bardock stirs and manages to reanimate the only other survivor, a gravely injured Fasha. All the others have been betrayed and cruelly assassinated by the Frieza Force. Weakened, Fasha can only groan in pain as Bardock lifts her up to carry her to an escape space pod. Fasha activates the round spaceship. Before she blacks out, Fasha watches Planet Vegeta explode in the distance due to a powerful attack from Frieza, destroying Bardock, the Saiyans and her homeworld.

For days, Fasha drifts through space in stasis as her damaged ship holds together barely. Finally, it crashes in a remote field on a small blue and green planet. They weren't kidding when they said that this place was full of weaklings."
