The Eastern Empire
Capital: Aurelia
The Eastern Empire is the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful nation on the continent. Governed by an absolute Emperor, it values law, order, discipline, and expansion above all else. Its vast road network, professional legions, and efficient bureaucracy make it a formidable force. While outwardly stable, corruption and ambitious governors threaten the Empire from within.
What sets it apart: Military might, strict laws, monumental architecture, and unmatched infrastructure.

⸻
The Southern Realm
Capital: Lorien
The Southern Realm is a land of fertile fields, wealthy noble estates, and elegant cities where politics are more dangerous than open warfare. Noble families compete through marriages, alliances, espionage, and intrigue, with reputation carrying as much weight as armies. Though prosperous, the Realm teeters on the edge of civil war as powerful dukes challenge the Queen’s authority.
What sets it apart: Courtly politics, noble intrigue, chivalry, grand tournaments, and sophisticated culture.

⸻
The Verdant Kingdom
Capital: Greenheart
Nestled beside the ancient Silverwood, the Verdant Kingdom lives in harmony with nature. The kingdom values balance, stewardship, and diplomacy over conquest, making it a peaceful but fiercely protective nation.
What sets it apart: Living forests, druidic influence, reverence for nature, and ancient magic.

⸻
Frostgate / The Northlands
Capital: Frosthold
The Northlands are a harsh land of snow, mountains, and resilient clans. Ruled by a High King chosen from among the clan chiefs, its people prize honor, courage, and self-reliance above wealth or status. Survival is a daily struggle, forging some of the continent’s toughest warriors. Hospitality is sacred, and loyalty to one’s clan is paramount.
What sets it apart: Viking-inspired clan culture, brutal winters, fierce warriors, and honor-based traditions.

⸻
The Sundered Sultanate
Capital: Qasr Malik
Once a single mighty desert empire, the Sundered Sultanate fractured into rival sultanates following a devastating civil war. Today, its rulers compete for influence while maintaining a loose confederation under an elected High Sultan. Despite political division, the Sultanate remains immensely wealthy through trade, rare desert resources, and control of ancient caravan routes.
What sets it apart: Vast deserts, bustling caravan cities, rich trade networks, oasis culture, and ancient buried civilizations.

The Buried City Beneath the Khalid Desert (Hidden)
Known As: The Forgotten Kingdom
Far beneath the Singing Sands lies the true capital of an empire long erased from history. Only the tips of its tallest towers still rise above the dunes. Within its buried streets remain:
- Vast libraries untouched for centuries. * Ancient magical machines still quietly operating. * Vaults filled with relics from a forgotten age. * Endless mines of Sunglass Crystal. Yet the city is not abandoned. A hidden civilization of towering Khajiit still lives below. Their ancestors survived the collapse of the ancient empire by retreating underground, where isolation transformed their culture. Today they guard their homeland with fierce determination, viewing surface dwellers as grave robbers trespassing among the tombs of their ancestors. Very few who discover the buried city ever return—and those who do are rarely believed. To most of Eldoria, the Khajiit (also known as Felidae) remain nothing more than another desert legend whispered alongside tales of the Singing Sands. Kingdom of the Tides
Name: The Pelagian Crown (commonly called “The Kingdom Beneath the Waves”)
Viewpoints: stay out of our way, we will stay out of your way— antisocial kingdom that claims strict neutrality
Motto: “From Every Tide, One Throne.”
Type of Government: Absolute Monarchy (Single Monarchy)
Flag: A deep sapphire-blue banner bearing a silver trident encircled by seven white waves, beneath a crescent moon. The seven waves represent the world’s major seas and oceans united under one sovereign. Population: ~9.8 million inhabitants
Location: The Pelagian Crown encompasses every ocean, sea, reef, trench, underwater cave system, and coral kingdom throughout Eldoria, making it the largest realm by territory. While the surface is divided among five nations, the waters beneath are considered the domain of the Sea Crown. ⸻
Cities
Thalassia
Capital of the Pelagian Crown
The largest underwater city in Eldoria, built among colossal coral palaces and glowing pearl towers deep within the Southern Ocean. Home to the royal palace and the Sea Throne. ⸻
Coralia
Located beneath the Western Ocean. A sprawling coral metropolis famous for artisans, pearl divers, and schools of marine magic. Coralia produces many of the kingdom’s finest jewelry and enchanted shellwork. ⸻
Nereidon
Located beneath the Sea of Storms. A heavily fortified city carved into black volcanic stone and protected by enormous sea walls. It serves as the military heart of the kingdom, defending shipping lanes against sea monsters and pirates. ⸻
Sirenis
Located beneath the Sea of Serenity. A graceful city of white coral, crystal domes, and singing gardens. Although famous as the cultural center of the sirens, it remains loyal to the Sea Crown and is renowned for music, diplomacy, and magical academies. ⸻
Abyssara
Hidden within the deepest trench beneath the Frozen Sea. A mysterious city illuminated by glowing crystal vents and bioluminescent life. Few surface dwellers even know it exists. Scholars, mystics, and royal archivists preserve the oldest histories of Eldoria here. ⸻
Pearlwatch
A bustling trade city beneath the Pearl Isles. Acts as the primary trading hub between surface merchants and underwater kingdoms. Most legal commerce between humans and sea folk passes through Pearlwatch. ⸻
Key Sentient Species
- Merfolk (largest population)
- Sirens
- Sea Elves
- Water Djinn (small but respected communities)
- Sea Nymphs
- Selkies
- Tritons
- Occasional visiting Elemental-born
Despite historical rivalries, all recognize the authority of the Sea Monarch. ⸻
Key Animals / Creatures
- Hippocampi (sea horses used as mounts)
- Giant sea turtles
- Dolphins
- Leviathans (rare and protected)
- Giant manta rays
- Reef drakes
- Glow jellyfish
- Moon whales
- Sea serpents (carefully monitored)
- Giant octopi
- Coral crabs
- Seahorses
- Pearl oysters
- Kelp drakes
The Pelagian Crown strictly protects endangered marine life, and hunting sacred creatures—such as leviathans or moon whales—is punishable by exile or death under sea law. ⸻
Additional Notes
Although the five surface kingdoms frequently feud with one another, the oceans are politically unified. Every captain sailing across the Sea of Serenity, the Sea of Storms, the Western Ocean, the Sunrise Ocean, the Southern Ocean, or the Frozen Sea unknowingly passes over territory claimed by the Pelagian Crown. The Sea Monarch generally avoids involvement in surface wars, intervening only when conflict threatens the balance of the seas or the safety of underwater cities. ⸻
The current geopolitical situation
The continent sits in an uneasy peace. The Eastern Empire quietly prepares for westward expansion, hoping to seize the Dragonspine passes and dominate the continent’s trade. In response, the Northlands, Verdant Kingdom, and Southern Realm have formed a fragile defensive understanding despite centuries of mistrust. Meanwhile, the Sundered Sultanate seeks to reunify its fractured realms before either side can exploit its divisions. Hovering above them all, the Pearl Isles enrich themselves by trading with every power. This creates a setting where diplomacy, espionage, border wars, dynastic marriages, and shifting alliances are as dangerous as open battle.
- the journey from the east to west by foot takes approximately 6 months
The Eastern Empire
Defining Trait: The Empire of Stone
Nothing is built more impressively than this nation. Its roads stretch thousands of miles. Its legions are disciplined beyond compare. Its bureaucracy records the birth and death of nearly every citizen.
The Empire conquers all that it can and is known as the wealthiest and yet more greedy and bloodthirsty of them all.
Current Problem
The Empire has become so vast that corruption is everywhere. Entire governors have begun ruling their provinces like independent kings.
The Emperor must decide: will he fight rebellion…or continue expansion.
Aurelia, the capitol city of The Eastern Empire. Known as “The City of Law”.
The capital of the Empire is rigid, orderly, and heavily policed. Imperial law is considered supreme, and ignorance of it is no excuse. Guards are disciplined professionals who respond quickly and rarely accept bribes.
Rules of the Road
- Weapons may be openly carried only if peace-bound (sheathed); drawing steel in public is treated as a crime.
- Citizens are expected to obey Imperial officials immediately.
- Theft is punished harshly, with repeat offenders sentenced to forced labor or degloving.
- Duels are illegal unless formally sanctioned by the courts.
- Bribery of an Imperial official is considered treason.
- Magic capable of harming others requires an Imperial license.
- Night curfews are occasionally enforced during periods of unrest.
Guard Behavior: Calm, methodical, and uncompromising. Guards arrest first and investigate later.
Current Problem: A secret society known only as The Veiled Senate has begun assassinating imperial officials. No one knows whether they seek to restore democracy—or overthrow the Emperor entirely.
The Imperial Road
“All roads lead to Aurelia.”
The Imperial Road is the finest highway ever constructed. Built from fitted stone blocks nearly thirty feet wide, it stretches from Aurelia through the eastern heartland before reaching the western foothills of the Dragonspines.
Imperial engineers maintain bridges, milestones, patrol towers, and roadside inns every day’s journey. Merchant caravans, tax collectors, diplomats, and Imperial legions constantly travel its length. The road is remarkably safe—provided one obeys Imperial law.
The western terminus ends at the Kingsgate Pass, where the Empire’s influence gives way to the independent mountain holds.
Common Travelers
- Imperial Legions
- Merchants
- Nobles
- Diplomats
- Pilgrims
Dangers
- Heavy customs inspections
- Political spies
- Military checkpoints
Legal Status of the following:
- Slavery: Officially illegal within Imperial borders, though indentured servitude is common.
- Pet Trade: Fully legal with licenses for dangerous magical creatures.
- Black Market: Illegal and aggressively prosecuted.
Public Opinion
Most Imperial citizens proudly claim the Empire abolished slavery generations ago. Unfortunately, many wealthy nobles exploit loopholes through “lifetime contracts,” prison labor, debt servitude, or foreign servants purchased outside Imperial territory. Many pretend these aren’t slavery. The average citizen generally supports cracking down on traffickers.
Government Opinion: The Emperor publicly condemns slavery.
Imperial Inspectors constantly dismantle trafficking rings, though corruption allows some wealthy buyers to avoid punishment. Owning sentient beings carries severe penalties.

“The Empire of Stone”
The Eastern Empire is the oldest and wealthiest civilization in Eldoria. Every settlement, from the smallest village to the capital itself, exists to serve the Empire through taxes, industry, military service, or trade. Stone roads, disciplined soldiers, and towering monuments define the landscape, while beneath its orderly surface corruption and political ambition quietly spread.
⸻
Aurelia
The City of Law
Population: ~280,000
The magnificent capital of the Empire and seat of Emperor Cassian IV Aurelius.
Aurelia is built almost entirely from brilliant white Imperial Marble, with enormous government halls, triumphal arches, aqueducts, and towering statues celebrating centuries of conquest. Every street is carefully planned and relentlessly patrolled by Imperial Guards.
Here, the law is absolute.
Citizens who obey the Empire enjoy remarkable safety and prosperity. Criminals quickly learn that Imperial justice is swift, harsh, and rarely forgiving.
Economy
- Government administration
- Imperial banking
- Luxury trade
- Books and universities
- Emperor’s Lily cultivation

⸻
Goldcrest
The Forge of the Empire
Population: ~85,000
Situated near the foothills of the Crystalpeaks, Goldcrest supplies much of the Empire’s weapons, armor, and construction stone.
The city never truly sleeps.
Its skyline glows orange each night from hundreds of forges, foundries, and smelters working around the clock.
Entire districts are occupied by blacksmith guilds and military contractors producing equipment for the Imperial Legions.
Economy
- Iron mining
- Weaponsmithing
- Armor production
- Fire Quartz refinement
- Marble cutting
Harvestables
- Iron Ore
- Fire Quartz
- Imperial Marble

Current Problem
A growing number of miners refuse to work after several unexplained tunnel collapses beneath the Crystalpeaks. Rumors claim ancient creatures are awakening deep underground.
⸻
Stonemarch
The Eastern Gate
Population: ~70,000
Located on the Sunrise Ocean, Stonemarch serves as the Empire’s principal eastern naval port and customs city.
Every foreign ship entering Imperial waters is inspected here before being permitted farther inland.
Massive sea walls, naval docks, and customs towers dominate the harbor.
Merchants from every nation eventually pass through its gates.
Economy
- Overseas trade
- Shipbuilding
- Fishing
- Customs duties
- Kingswater Pearl trade
Harvestables
- Kingswater Pearls
Reputation
“No cargo enters the Empire unseen.”
Current Problem
Entire merchant vessels have recently disappeared off the coast without distress calls or wreckage. The Admiralty fears piracy—or something far worse lurking beneath the Sunrise Ocean.
⸻
Eastwatch
The Emperor’s Horizon
Population: ~28,000
A fortified coastal settlement built to watch the eastern sea and protect Imperial shipping lanes.
Eastwatch is quieter than Stonemarch but heavily militarized. Watchtowers line the cliffs, signal beacons burn each night, and soldiers constantly patrol the coastline.
Many sailors spend only a single night here before continuing toward larger ports.
Economy
- Fishing
- Naval patrols
- Lighthouse maintenance
- Coastal trade
- Pearl diving
Reputation
“The first shield against threats from the eastern sea.”
Current Problem
Lookouts have reported enormous winged shadows flying over the Crystalpeaks before vanishing into the mountains. Imperial officials dismiss the sightings, but the garrison has quietly increased its patrols.
The Southern Realm
Lorien
Nation: The Southern Realm
Known As: The City of Roses
Lorien is elegant but politically treacherous. Reputation is everything, and legal outcomes often depend as much on noble influence as on evidence.
Rules of the Road
- Nobles enjoy legal privileges unavailable to commoners.
- Public insults against noble houses can result in fines or imprisonment.
- Licensed duels are permitted to resolve matters of honor.
- Gambling houses operate legally under royal taxation.
- Masks are commonly worn during festivals, but using one to commit a crime carries harsher penalties.
- False accusations are punished almost as severely as the alleged crime.
Guard Behavior: Professional but influenced by politics. They are more likely to defer to powerful families than challenge them outright.
Defining Trait: The Land of Noble Intrigue
Most wars begin here—with ink instead of swords. Marriage alliances. Poisonings. Inheritance disputes. Assassinations.
Current Problem
Three dukes now openly challenge Queen Rosaline’s authority. Civil war appears inevitable.
Lorien, the capitol city.
Current Problem
Counterfeit royal seals have begun appearing across the kingdom. No one knows who is issuing false decrees.
The King’s Road
“The Road of Roses.”
The King’s Road links Lorien with nearly every major city in the Southern Realm before eventually reaching the Dragonspine foothills.
Stone bridges and noble estates line much of the journey.
Although safe during peacetime, noble feuds occasionally transform sections of the highway into battlefields overnight.
Common Travelers
- Nobility
- Knights
- Artists
- Merchants
- Couriers
Dangers
- Highwaymen
- Noble disputes
- Political assassins
—

“Where East Meets South.”
The Azure River narrows enough for a series of ancient stone bridges to connect the Southern Realm with the western edge of the Dragonspines.
It is one of the few reliable crossings in the south and serves as a meeting place for traders from nearly every nation.
Many inns here cater to foreign travelers, making it a melting pot of languages and customs.

While the faith recognizes a single divine Creator, believers honor seven holy virtues embodied by revered saints rather than separate gods. Every noble house claims one virtue as its patron.
The Seven Virtues are:
- The Crown — Justice, lawful rule, and wise leadership.
- The Rose — Love, marriage, beauty, and diplomacy.
- The Sword — Honor, courage, and chivalry.
- The Hearth — Family, hospitality, childbirth, and the home.
- The Lantern — Knowledge, medicine, scholarship, and truth.
- The Scales — Commerce, contracts, fairness, and prosperity.
- The Veil — Death, mercy, remembrance, and peaceful rest.
Although the Church holds tremendous influence, the nobility often twists religious doctrine to justify political ambitions. Publicly, nearly everyone appears devout—even those who privately scheme against one another.
⸻ primary export or livelihood of the Southern Realm: The Southern Realm possesses the richest farmland on the continent and controls many of its finest craftsmen.
Primary Exports
- Fine wines from the Rose Hills vineyards.
- Wool and high-quality textiles.
- Decorative armor and ceremonial weapons.
- Master-crafted furniture and cabinetry.
- Horses bred for knights and nobility.
- Cheese, butter, and preserved foods.
- Illuminated manuscripts and works of art.
Livelihood
Most commoners are farmers, shepherds, vintners, millers, or craftsmen. The nobility derives wealth through taxation, agricultural estates, and tolls collected along the King’s Road. Large markets and seasonal fairs bring merchants from every neighboring nation.
⸻
What is considered polite or impolite?
Polite
- Bowing or curtsying according to social rank.
- Addressing nobles by their proper titles.
- Removing gloves before a handshake.
- Complimenting a host’s gardens, wine, or estate.
- Sending written invitations rather than arriving unexpectedly.
- Allowing one’s social superior to begin eating first.
- Speaking carefully and indirectly during disagreements.
Extremely Impolite
- Addressing a noble by their given name without permission.
- Interrupting someone during formal introductions.
- Publicly embarrassing another noble.
- Drawing a weapon during a banquet.
- Refusing hospitality after accepting an invitation.
- Gossiping loudly in public squares.
- Wearing mourning colors during weddings or celebratory festivals.
Social Etiquette
Reputation is considered a form of currency. A careless insult may ruin decades of political goodwill, while a carefully chosen compliment can secure valuable alliances. The Realm’s aristocracy often speaks in veiled meanings, where subtle implications matter more than direct statements.
⸻
Holidays, Traditions & Events
The Festival of Roses
Spring
The most famous celebration in the kingdom.
Every city is decorated with thousands of blooming roses. Noble families host lavish balls, masked dances, jousting tournaments, poetry contests, and public feasts. Tradition holds that proposals made beneath blooming rose arches are blessed by the Virtue of the Rose.
⸻
Founder’s Day
Early Summer
Celebrates the unification of the Southern Realm. Military parades march through Lorien while knights swear renewed oaths of loyalty to the Crown. Royal pardons are often granted to minor offenders as a gesture of unity. Sometimes they even host jousting tournaments
⸻
The Grand Masquerade
Mid-Autumn
For one night each year, nearly everyone—from peasants to royalty—wears elaborate masks.
Old rivalries are temporarily set aside, and anonymous dancing, music, and performances fill the streets. Despite the festive atmosphere, the event is infamous for espionage, secret negotiations, illicit romances, and political assassinations hidden behind beautiful masks.
⸻
The Tournament of Golden Spurs
Late Summer
The greatest jousting competition on the continent. Knights from every nation compete for prestige, noble patronage, and marriage prospects. The event also hosts fencing exhibitions, archery contests, falconry demonstrations, and grand banquets. Winning the Golden Spurs can elevate an unknown knight into the highest circles of society.
⸻
Harvest Home
Early Autumn
A kingdom-wide celebration marking the end of the harvest. Villages hold communal feasts, dancing, music, and thanksgiving ceremonies honoring the Hearth. Noble families traditionally open portions of their granaries to feed the poor, reinforcing their reputation for generosity.
⸻
The Night of Lanterns
Mid-Winter
A solemn evening dedicated to remembering the dead. Families gather to light paper lanterns and float them along rivers, believing the lights guide departed souls to peaceful rest beneath the Veil. For one night, feuds are traditionally suspended, and even enemies often share silent respect.
⸻
The Rose Court Season
Every Spring through Early Summer
Rather than a single holiday, this is the kingdom’s annual social season.
Young nobles make their formal debut at court, marriages are arranged, treaties negotiated, inheritances disputed, and political alliances forged or broken. Balls, hunts, operas, and lavish dinners occur almost nightly. Many fortunes—and many wars—begin during the Rose Court Season, making it the true heartbeat of the Southern Realm’s noble intrigue.
Legal Status of the following:
- Slavery: Technically illegal, though domestic servitude and debt bondage are widespread.
- Pet Trade: Legal.
- Black Market: Illegal but flourishes beneath noble patronage.
Public Opinion
Many nobles believe slavery is barbaric—provided it happens publicly. Behind closed doors, wealthy families quietly purchase trafficked servants through intermediaries. Most commoners despise traffickers, though poverty occasionally drives desperate people into illegal contracts.
Government Opinion: Queen Rosaline officially opposes slavery.
Several powerful dukes quietly obstruct investigations because trafficking networks enrich their allies. The city’s criminal underworld is deeply intertwined with noble politics.

The Verdant Kingdom
Greenheart
Nation: The Verdant Kingdom
Known As: The Emerald Court
Greenheart is built around harmony with nature. Laws exist to preserve the forests as much as the people, and the authority of the Crown often overlaps with that of the Circle of Oaks.
Rules of the Road
- Cutting healthy trees without permission is a criminal offense.
- Hunting is regulated by season and location.
- Violence within sacred groves is forbidden.
- Animals are protected from needless cruelty.
- Travelers are expected to respect local shrines and woodland customs.
Guard Behavior: Courteous but observant. Rangers often investigate quietly before making arrests.
Defining Trait: The Living Forest
Silverwood isn’t merely ancient. It moves. Roads vanish overnight. Trees rearrange themselves. Those who enter without permission often emerge weeks later believing only a single day has passed.
Sometimes…they never return at all. Druids, nymphs, fae/pixies, trolls and more are said to live here. They say that magic is strongest in this kingdom
The Silverwood is a separate part of the Verdant Kingdom, not necessarily ruled by the kingdom but still claimed for various geopolitical reasons.
Current Problem: The Forest is Sick
Ancient trees are slowly turning black.
Animals are being born sickly, deformed, and infected with infectious rabid diseases. The wisest wizards believe that something buried beneath the Dragonspine Mountains is poisoning the land.
No one knows what.
The Emerald Way
“The Forest Chooses Who May Pass.”
Rather than cutting through the Silverwood, the Emerald Way follows carefully maintained roads blessed by local priests and priestesses
Travelers who remain on the road usually arrive safely. Those who wander off…often disappear. The road connects Greenheart to southern settlements while preserving the ancient forest.

- Herbalists
- Rangers
- Pilgrims
Dangers
- Living forests
- Enchanted wildlife
- Becoming lost
—
The Silverbranch River
“The River That Feeds Kingdoms.”
Nearly half of all continental trade travels along the Silverbranch River. Flat-bottom barges carry grain, lumber, ore, livestock, and textiles between eastern and western markets. Dozens of towns owe their existence entirely to river commerce.
Common Travelers
- River merchants
- Fishermen
- Pilgrims
- Ferrymen
Dangers
- River pirates
- Seasonal flooding
- Hidden sandbars
Nation: Shared between The Verdant Kingdom and The Eastern Empire
—
Legal Status of the following:
- Slavery: Completely outlawed.
- Pet Trade: Highly regulated.
- Black Market: Extremely rare.
Public Opinion: Slavery is viewed as one of the greatest crimes imaginable.
Even prisoners retain basic rights. Capturing intelligent creatures is considered morally abhorrent. Most citizens willingly report traffickers. The kingdom also strongly discourages capturing wild magical animals simply for entertainment.
Government Opinion: The Crown hunts slavers relentlessly.
Anyone caught trafficking sentient beings faces execution or life imprisonment. Foreign slave caravans are turned away at the border. Although prejudice toward certain races still exists, nearly everyone agrees slavery itself is unforgivable.

Mistvale
A peaceful riverside village built where the Silverbranch River widens. Known for its orchards, herbal gardens, and ferries that transport merchants along the river.
Greenheart
Nation: The Verdant Kingdom
Known As: The Emerald Court
Greenheart is the capital of the Verdant Kingdom, where magnificent living oaks form natural halls, bridges, and homes through centuries of careful druidic magic. Rather than towering stone castles, the city’s royal palace is grown from one colossal tree known as the Heart Oak, whose sprawling branches shelter much of the royal district.
The city is quiet, clean, and surprisingly spacious. Gardens, shrines, streams, and wildlife weave naturally between homes, making it difficult to tell where the city ends and the forest begins.
Rangers often investigate quietly before making arrests, preferring mediation before force.
Defining Trait
The city exists in harmony with the surrounding forest. Buildings are grown instead of built, and even roads curve around ancient trees rather than through them.
Current Problem
As the Silverwood sickens, Greenheart has become the center of frantic research. Druids, priests, physicians, and scholars gather daily to search for a cure, while refugees from afflicted woodland villages arrive seeking safety.

Eldermere
Nation: The Verdant Kingdom
Known As: The Crystal Gate
Nestled beneath the western slopes of the Crystal Peaks, Eldermere serves as the kingdom’s eastern frontier. It is both a prosperous mining town and a diplomatic crossroads where merchants from the Eastern Empire legally enter Verdant territory.
Though trade flourishes here, the city’s guards remain vigilant. Imperial merchants are welcomed, but excessive logging, illegal hunting, or attempts to smuggle endangered creatures are punished harshly.
Defining Trait
Eldermere is where civilization meets the mountains. Crystal-fed streams, alpine forests, and stone quarries surround the city, while the towering Crystal Peaks dominate its skyline.
Current Problem
Several mining expeditions into the Crystal Peaks have vanished after reporting strange tremors beneath the mountains. The Crown fears whatever is poisoning the Silverwood may also be awakening beneath the eastern peaks.
Economy
- Crystal mining
- Gem cutting
- Stone masonry
- River commerce
- Mountain trade
- Enchanted woodworking
Notable Features
- Crystal Market
- Eastgate Customs House
- Peakwatch Fortress

⸻
Brightwater
Nation: The Verdant Kingdom
Known As: The River’s Heart
Brightwater sits where the Silverbranch River bends south toward the Dragonspines, making it one of the busiest river ports in the kingdom. Hundreds of barges arrive each week carrying grain, lumber, medicines, livestock, and textiles between east and west.
Despite its commercial importance, Brightwater retains the relaxed atmosphere of a riverside town. Wooden boardwalks, covered docks, flowering gardens, and riverside taverns line the waterfront.
Defining Trait
Nearly every traveler entering or leaving the Verdant Kingdom by river passes through Brightwater. Its ferrymen and bargemen know more about continental politics than many nobles.
Current Problem
River pirate attacks have increased dramatically over the past year. Entire barges carrying medicine and enchanted timber have disappeared along stretches of the Silverbranch, and local authorities suspect organized criminal networks operating beyond the kingdom’s borders.
Economy
- River trade
- Fishing
- Ferry services
- Boatbuilding
- Lumber transport
- Agriculture
Notable Features
- Brightwater Docks

Mistvale
Nation: The Verdant Kingdom

Mistvale is a peaceful village built where the Silverbranch River widens into slow, fertile waters. Surrounded by orchards, herb gardens, and flowering meadows, it is famous throughout Eldoria for producing some of the kingdom’s finest fruit, medicinal herbs, and natural remedies.
Travelers often stop here before continuing deeper into the Verdant Kingdom or toward Greenheart.
Defining Trait
Morning mist hangs over the river nearly every day, giving the village its name and creating an almost dreamlike landscape.
Current Problem
Several orchards bordering the Silverwood have begun producing blackened fruit, while nearby wildlife has become unusually aggressive. Villagers fear the forest’s mysterious sickness is spreading toward their homes.
Economy

The Great Wilds
Defining Trait: The Last Untamed Land
No kingdom truly controls it.
The Wilds belong to:
- giants
- beastfolk
- forest spirits
- ancient monsters
- forgotten civilizations
Maps become unreliable deeper inside. Trees and plant life are said to be magical and talk and walk, and the rivers seem to weave and change the terrain regularly. Many people come hear to trophy hunt, and the poaching is prevalent here. Archery is the best mode of weapon in these woods if one doesn’t have magic.

Sea of Storms
Defining Trait: The World’s Most Dangerous Sea
Permanent storms rage year-round. Lightning regularly strikes the ocean. Massive sea serpents rage through the depths of the oceans. Ships disappear constantly.
Hidden Truth
An ancient sea serpent known as Oceanus slumbers beneath the sea. It is the largest beast in the entire world of Eldoria, and commands the ocean brutally.
Its dreams generate the endless storms.
Fortunately…it has not awakened in thousands of years.
⸻
Western Ocean
Defining Trait: Exploration.
One of the best places to go to find little islands to claim as your own; fjords flank its northern borders. It is said that this ocean is mostly safe, and is rich in the fishing and oil industries.
⸻
Sunrise Ocean
Defining Trait: Trade.
Nearly all eastern commerce passes through these waters. Imperial patrol fleets keep piracy low. But never zero.
Current Problem: The ocean waters are warming, killing off many wildlife and making the fishing industry less profitable than it once was. It now is behind the Western Ocean when it comes to fisheries.
⸻
Sea of Serenity
Defining Trait: The calmest sea in the world.
Winds are predictable. Storms are rare. Perfect for trade. They call the stillest part of the sea of serenity the “doldrums”. They say some sailors go mad here from the endless sight of just flat sea water for miles.
Current Problem
Recently…the sea has become unnaturally silent. No whales. No dolphins. No seabirds. Is it because to the north in the waters of the sunrise ocean is warming?
⸻
Southern Ocean
Defining Trait: Unknown waters. Few kingdoms possess ships capable of surviving its currents. Rumors speak of another continent far to the south.

{ Queen Consort Livia Aurelius of the Eastern Empire }
5'9; tall blond and with a cunning wit to her that proves that she is a lot more than a clever and pretty face. She knows how to play the chess board, the game of thrones, and she was more than willing to do whatever it took to stay in power. Nearly every major decision she makes is driven by a desire to secure their future, even when her methods are cruel. She craves power and resents living in a society where women are expected to obey men. She believes she is as capable—or more capable—than the men who rule around her.Rather than relying on brute force, Livia excels at deception, alliances, intimidation, and exploiting people's weaknesses. She often thinks several moves ahead. Livia believes the Aurelius's are superior to nearly everyone else. She rarely admits mistakes and often assumes she is the smartest person in the room. She never forgets an insult or betrayal. Anyone who humiliates or threatens her is likely to face severe retaliation, no matter how long it takes. She assumes nearly everyone has hidden motives. This makes her cautious and difficult to manipulate, but it also causes her to alienate potential allies. She is married and in love with her husband, whom is her cousin. Her opinion on Elowen is complicated. She does not truly care for her as a daughter, but neither does she hate her at first. Instead, she sees Elowen as a useful political asset and, at times, a naïve girl she can easily manipulate. Livia recognizes that Elowen believes in songs, knights, and fairy tales. She exploits this innocence to keep Elowen loyal to the crown.
{ King Leon Aurelius of the Eastern Empire }
Known for being an excellent swordsman and a man that is head over heels in love with his cousin, the queen consort Queen Livia. He is like a dog on a leash with her, willing to do ANYTHING (including kill in cold blood) for her. He is tall, broad, and has the physique stature of a knight. He is conventionally handsome and identical to Prince Vale almost. He has a stubble of facial hair, square jaw, etc. Jaime quickly reads people and understands politics, even if he pretends not to care about them. He frequently acts on emotion before considering the consequences.
{ Prince Valerius Aurelius }
5’10, blond hair and blue eyes with a handsome face always twisted into a scowl. Interested in marrying Elowen for her beauty and status, and other superficial things. He does not actually care for her. He never wrote his courting letters to Elowen and knows nothing about them. Those were written by a bard he hired. He is toxic and abusive and the next heir to the crown. He wants power and control. He laughs at peoples misery. His parents are cousins and are truly evil people disguised as kings and queens. He goes by the name “Vale”. He has a fragile ego and is very vain and lovely flattery. Flattery is his weakness. ultimately an insecure, cruel, and deeply unstable ruler whose actions help plunge the eastern empire into chaos. He is needlessly vicious, often ordering harsh punishments for minor offenses or out of personal amusement. He assumes everyone exists to obey him and cannot tolerate being questioned. Despite acting fearless, he avoids real danger whenever possible. He enjoys threatening helpless people but hides behind guards and soldiers when facing actual combat. He never forgets a perceived insult and frequently seeks revenge over even the smallest slights.Though he wears a crown, he behaves like a spoiled child with absolute power, throwing tantrums when things don't go his way.
Name: Thyraios of the Golden Horn
Age: 35
Height: 6'2" (to the top of his horns)
Kingdom/Rank: Prince of House Aurelius, Eastern Empire
Race: Half Human / Half Satyr
Personality: Brilliant, sharp-witted, and endlessly charismatic. Thyraios survives through intelligence rather than force, masking years of rejection with humor, indulgence, and effortless charm. Deeply pragmatic, he reads people with unsettling accuracy and always seems three steps ahead. Though he projects the image of a carefree hedonist, beneath the laughter lies a compassionate man who secretly aids slaves, commoners, and political dissidents. Unlike the rest of House Aurelius, he believes true strength is measured by how one protects the powerless rather than how completely one dominates them.
Appearance: A striking half-satyr with thick, shoulder-length dark brown hair and a neatly kept dark beard. Large spiraling ram horns curl back from his temples, decorated with gold bands and delicate chains. Piercing golden-yellow goat eyes give him an unnerving ability to read people. Olive-tan skin contrasts with the dark fur covering his powerful goat legs from the waist down. Usually dressed in lavish navy-and-gold Imperial robes left fashionably loose, adorned with rings, necklaces, and embroidered silks. His relaxed smile and confident posture make him seem approachable despite his noble blood.
Relationships:
- Queen Consort Livia Aurelius (older half-sister): A complicated relationship built on mutual intelligence and constant political sparring. Livia publicly tolerates him for appearances but privately views him as an embarrassment to the Aurelius bloodline because of his Satyr Lineage. Thyraios understands her better than almost anyone and knows she is capable of extraordinary cruelty.
- Emperor Leon Aurelius (older half-brother): Respectful but distant. Leon neither loves nor hates him, largely ignoring him unless politics require otherwise. Thyraios considers Leon honorable in his own ruthless way, but tragically blind to Livia's influence.
- Prince Vale Aurelius (nephew): Open disdain. Thyraios sees Vale as arrogant, insecure, and dangerously cruel. He quietly fears what the Empire will become if Vale inherits the throne.
- Lady Elowen Westerguaard: Though they have spoken little, Thyraios immediately recognizes her as another victim of the Imperial court. He sympathizes with her innocence and would quietly aid her if given the chance, though never openly enough to expose his secret activities. Prince Oberon (2nd cousin): related via the Goldmere lineage where they share the same grandfather; enjoys conversation with his second cousin Oberon and thinks he will make a much better leader for the south than Prince Vale will in the Eastern Empire
- The Imperial Court: Most nobles mock him as "the Satyr Prince" or "the stain upon House Aurelius." Few realize how extensive his network of spies, smugglers, and informants truly is.
Opinions:
- House Aurelius: "Power without mercy always devours itself."
- Queen Livia: Brilliant... and perhaps the most dangerous person alive.
- Emperor Leon: A capable ruler trapped by love and loyalty.
- Prince Vale: An insecure tyrant waiting to happen.
- Lady Elowen: A kind soul thrown into a nest of wolves.
- The Eastern Empire: He loves its architecture, laws, and culture, but despises the corruption, arrogance, and oppression festering beneath its marble grandeur.
- The Northlands: Harsh, stubborn, and painfully honorable. He respects them far more than most Imperials do.
- Slavery: An abomination disguised as law. He secretly finances escape routes, buys freedom for captives under false names, and quietly undermines traffickers whenever possible.
- The Common People: The true foundation of every kingdom. They deserve rulers who protect them rather than exploit them.
The History of House Aurelius
House Aurelius is the oldest and most powerful dynasty in the Eastern Empire, ruling from the marble capital of Aurelia for centuries under the belief that "Blood is Power. Power is Everything." They forged the Empire through conquest, strict law, and relentless expansion, creating the wealthiest civilization in Eldoria. To the public they are symbols of order and prosperity; behind palace walls they are infamous for manipulation, ambition, and a willingness to sacrifice anyone for the throne.
The previous rulers, Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Empress Seraphina Aurelius, raised two legitimate heirs: Leon and Livia. Determined to preserve the "purity" of the imperial bloodline and consolidate power, they were wed in an arranged dynastic marriage, becoming Emperor and Queen Consort. Together they rule the Empire with an iron fist—Leon commanding its armies while Livia quietly controls much of its politics through deception, alliances, and court intrigue.
Their only legitimate child, Prince Valerius "Vale" Aurelius, was raised to believe he is destined to rule the world. Handsome, vain, and cruel, Vale inherited his mother's cunning and his father's authority, but little of either's restraint. His betrothal to Lady Elowen Westerguaard was arranged to secure the loyalty of the Northlands, though he views her as little more than another possession. Queen Livia and her husband King Leon have been trying to have another heir (a spare) for years but seemingly they suffer from fertility issues.
Hidden within the family's history is its greatest scandal.
Years before Leon and Livia inherited the throne, Emperor Marcus carried on a secret affair with a satyr woman from the western forests. Their son, Thyraios, was acknowledged only reluctantly after Marcus's death. Though granted the title of prince, his mixed heritage made him an outcast among the imperial nobility. Mocked as a stain upon House Aurelius, he learned to survive through wit, charm, and political cunning rather than birthright. While the court dismisses him as a decadent rogue, Thyraios has quietly become one of the Empire's most influential unseen figures. Operating through spies, smugglers, and secret benefactors, he undermines traffickers, frees slaves, and aids the oppressed from the shadows. Few realize that the prince most despised by House Aurelius may also be the only member of the family trying to save it from itself.
Today, the Aurelius dynasty appears stronger than ever. Yet beneath the marble halls of Aurelia, rivalries simmer, secrets fester, and every member of the imperial family pursues a different vision for the Empire's future. With rebellion brewing abroad and enemies gathering beyond its borders, House Aurelius may soon discover that its greatest threat does not come from foreign armies—but from within its own bloodline.
Name: King Arthur Evergreen
Age: 55
Height: 6’4”
Rank/Kingdom: King of the Verdant Kingdom • High King of House Evergreen • Protector of Silverwood
Race: Elf
Personality:
Arthur is a patient, thoughtful, and deeply honorable ruler who believes a monarch exists to serve the kingdom rather than command it. Unlike many kings, he rarely raises his voice, preferring diplomacy, wisdom, and careful judgment before resorting to force. He values compassion as highly as strength and teaches that the greatest victory is one won without needless bloodshed.
Despite his gentle demeanor, Arthur possesses an unshakable resolve. When his people, his forests, or his family are threatened, the calm king disappears, revealing a formidable warrior who earned his crown long before he inherited it. He carries the weight of five decades of leadership with quiet dignity and often places the needs of the Verdant Kingdom above his own happiness.
Arthur loves stories, music, ancient history, and wandering the forests disguised as an ordinary traveler to better understand his people. His greatest fear is leaving behind a kingdom divided among his children rather than united beneath them.
⸻
Appearance:
A tall, regal elf with a lean yet athletic build that still reflects the warrior he once was. He possesses long golden-blond hair streaked with silver, usually worn loose over richly embroidered emerald robes and forest-green cloaks fastened with ornate leaf-shaped clasps. His pointed elven ears extend gracefully through his hair, while wise emerald-green eyes seem to carry centuries of quiet understanding despite his comparatively young age by elven standards.
His face is noble and weathered by responsibility rather than age, with high cheekbones, a strong jaw, and neatly trimmed blond facial hair. He wears an intricately carved wooden crown woven from living oak and silver branches—a symbol that the king serves the forest rather than rules over it.
Arthur favors elegant clothing of emerald silk, dark leather, and gold embroidery depicting vines, leaves, and woodland creatures. Even seated upon his throne, he carries the calm authority of an ancient oak rooted against every storm.
⸻
Opinions:
- The Verdant Kingdom: “The forest belongs to no king. I merely protect it until the next generation is ready.”
- Nature: Every creature, from the smallest bird to the oldest tree, has a place within the balance of the world.
- War: Sometimes necessary—but always a failure of diplomacy.
- The Eastern Empire: Impressive in its discipline and engineering, yet dangerously obsessed with conquest and control.
- Rosaria: Beautiful, cultured, and politically dangerous. Arthur respects Queen Rosaline but distrusts the endless games of southern nobility.
- The Northlands: Proud, honorable people who remind him that courage often grows best in harsh lands.
- The Sundered Sultanate: A fascinating civilization rich in history and culture, though divided by ambition and internal conflict.
- Magic: A sacred gift that should preserve life rather than dominate it.
- Family: His greatest achievement and greatest responsibility.
- Prince Jasper: Already worthy of becoming king someday—but Arthur hopes his son will never lose the kindness that makes him fit to rule.
⸻
Relationships:
• Queen Briar Evergreen (Wife): Arthur’s greatest confidante and the love of his life. A powerful fae queen whose wit balances Arthur’s patience. Their marriage is one of genuine affection and mutual respect, with Briar often challenging Arthur to think beyond tradition while he reminds her of mercy. Together they have ruled the Verdant Kingdom for decades.
• Prince Jasper Evergreen (Son, 25): The eldest heir to the throne and Arthur’s greatest pride. Half elf and half fae, Jasper possesses the compassion of his father and the magical gifts of his mother. Arthur has spent years preparing him to become the next king, though he worries Jasper often shoulders too much responsibility.
• Prince Brooks Evergreen (Son, 21): An adventurous elf prince with a curious spirit and a talent for diplomacy. Brooks often disappears into the forests for weeks at a time, much to Arthur’s concern. Arthur hopes he will eventually find a purpose equal to his potential.
• Princess Fawn Evergreen (Daughter, 19): A spirited young fae whose joy, creativity, and love of nature brighten

Across the continent, six great powers shape history:
-
The Eastern Empire expands through law, discipline, and steel.
-
The Southern Realm wages wars with marriages, assassinations, and politics long before swords are drawn.
-
The Verdant Kingdom guards the living forests, where the trees themselves decide who may pass.
-
Frostgate, far to the north, survives beneath endless snow, where strength is measured by what one endures rather than what one owns.
-
The Sundered Sultanate grows rich from deserts, caravans, hidden ruins, and bustling bazaars where anything can be bought—for the right price.
-
Beneath every sea lies the Pelagian Crown, whose cities of coral and pearl have watched surface civilizations rise and fall for centuries.
Yet peace is fragile.
Earthquakes shake the Dragonspine Mountains with increasing violence. Entire dwarven cities have fallen silent. The Sea of Storms grows more violent each passing season. Counterfeit royal decrees circulate through the Southern Realm….The Eastern Empire quietly amasses legions. Bandits, monsters, pirates, and slavers prey upon isolated roads. Meanwhile, ancient dragons are beginning to wake.
Or perhaps…something even older stirs beneath them.
Magic is real. So are prejudice, greed, and fear.
Humans live beside elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, fae, lepidari, kitsune, merfolk, sirens, vampires, djinn, khajiit, dragons, oni, centaurs, dryads, trolls, gargoyles, minotaurs, and countless other peoples. Some coexist peacefully. Others have spent generations hating one another.
Every kingdom has its own laws. Every city has its own dangers, and every road tells a different story.
Perhaps you’re a wandering knight seeking glory. A thief with a bounty on your head. A runaway princess. A mercenary chasing gold. A scholar searching forgotten ruins. A dragon hunter. A monster.
Or simply someone trying to survive another day.
Whatever your story may be…
it begins here.
The morning sun rises over Eldoria as merchants open their stalls, guards change shifts, ships leave harbor, and adventurers prepare for journeys that may change the course of history. Somewhere on the continent, you take your first step.
The rest is up to you.
