   #0. Velthar:

   • Type: World
   • Status: Active
   • Magic Level: High – unstable, ambient, and often dangerous
   • Era: Late medieval, no modern technology
   • Tone: Dark fantasy, supernatural, decaying power structures

   Overview:

   Velthar is a fragmented and fantasy world where magic is not only real, but embedded into the land, the blood, and the sky itself. Civilizations survive by harnessing or suppressing this raw force. The gods are silent, the dead often speak, and misterious ancient relics;

   ---

   Name: Ley lines

   • Type: Magical Phenomenon
   • Region: Global intersects all continents
   • Status: Active, unstable in some regions
   • Controlled By: Various kingdoms, mage orders, and religious sects

   Overview

   Ley lines are invisible, natural channels of magical energy that run through the land, sky, and even beneath the sea. They act as conduits for arcane power, connecting ancient sites, relics, and zones of high magical intensity.

   Nature and Behavior

   Ley lines are not fixed, they shift slowly over time, responding to celestial events, divine interference, or magical trauma. In places like the Eastern Shroudlands, they fracture and collapse, creating unstable magic zones or wild surges.

   ---

   ✴ Other Notes:

   • Ley Lines run visibly across Velthar, sometimes glowing or affecting weather.
   • Magic is old, not well understood, and often self-willed.
   • Dead gods may still influence certain lands or bloodlines.
   • Most maps are outdated — landmasses shift due to magical distortion.

   Political Climate

   Power is decentralized. Each noble house holds full control over its lands and armies, with only loose allegiance to the High Duke.

   A vast, broken expanse believed to be the site of Velthar’s magical genesis, or its first divine catastrophe. The land itself is fractured, humming with unstable energy. No kingdom claims it;

   Political Climate

   There is no central authority. Power is split among dozens of rival factions, each vying for territory, resources, or survival. Proxy wars between foreign powers are common, and mercenary companies often wield more influence than monarchs.

   Magic Zones

   Due to unstable ley lines, magic behaves erratically. Some areas are rich in raw energy, others are completely nullified. Entire cities have vanished or mutated due to magical backfire. Mage guilds and scholars treat the region as both a goldmine and a deathtrap.
