Fang is a young man with light skin, short brown hair, and deep blue eyes. His attire consists of a white shirt covered over by a black jacket with white lining and red stripes going on both sleeves. He wears slightly baggy red pants with several pockets on both pant leg along with matching boots with the base color of black but are red on the bottom.
Personality:
A fencer and the main character of this story, Fang is often perceived as a poor fencer because his sole interests are eating and sleeping and has no interest in reviving the Goddess. His other defining feature is his desire not to have his fate determined by anything and anyone but him. While initially having no desire to be a hero he gradually grows to like the role. Finally, Fang hates unnecessary death, something fueled by the deaths of Apollonius and, to a lesser extent, Ethel.
Occasionally, Fang can also be foul-mouthed, something that strangely attracts Tiara.
Story:
At the beginning of the story, Fang just arrived at Zelwinds City, and after being told he would be granted any wish by pulling out a sword in the city which turns out to be a Fury, he released Eryn after removing the sword. Fang immediately asked Eryn to get him food, but was ignored while she was explaining to him the responsibilities of a Fencer, which Fang ignored as well. He took a leave and let Eryn behind. Due to him not getting food, he stole bread, which he believed it was a "free sample" and was sent to jail. On the third day, he was rescued by Eryn but was reluctant to leave prison until Eryn reasoned with him. Fang initially did not want to be a Fencer but after Eryn told him that she will wither away and die without any memories, Fang finally agreed to be a Fencer.
Fang would be attacked and spared by an unnamed Fencer, Apollonius, who will be introduced in the story.
After a meeting with Lola the informant, Fang travels to the Sol Plains in order to retrieve the Fury, they meet Tiara and Cui there. After paralyzed by Tiara, who tricks him to drink the tea she brewed, he chases after her, then is forced to defeat a Hoodlum Fencer who tries to rob Tiara of her Fury. Tiara offers him shelter and the food of a "5-star chef" at Sunflower Inn in exchange for his help in reviving the Goddess and shows him Cui's ability of taking them to the sealed bodies of the Goddess and the Vile God. Together they removes the first sword from the Goddess.
Afterwards, Fang and Tiara set for the Yatagan Lava Flows. Fang accidentally activates a trap while getting the Fury but Tiara saves him by easily disabling the mechanism.
In AFD: Fang's party would be encountered a Fencer named Ethel in Katticus Ice Cave. Same as Apollonius, her introduction had been expanded in Advent Dark Force.
Continually in his journey and retrieves more Furies, for one day, Fang and Eryn attend to Dorfa Co.'s celebration party due to Tiara invitation, they meets Sherman, a pianist, who also a Fencer, in an accident because of Fang's rude, arrogant personalities. Soon after that, he meets Sherman once again in Kinadar, and challenges him a duel to take Fury by force. He then receives that Fury in peace because Sherman made him a concession of it.
Fang meets Harley, a fairy researcher or fairyologist, in his lodging when his party comes back to the inn. With her fairy partner's cooking talent, Bahus, she easily makes friend with them and gives Fang's party the fury information after that. With her joining, they finds their way onto the next destination.
In the Solaru Village, Fang encounters Zenke and his people, who working for Dorfa's dark side and collecting Furies for the Vile God resurrection. He acts as a hero for food sake and defeated Zenke and his men, successfully saved the village from Dorfa. Because of his acts, Galdo, who used to be Zenke's behalf, decided to follow him.
When on the next destination for a Fury, Fang's party encounters a Fencer named Ethel. With fully trust in Galdo that he can never be Ethel's accomplice, Fang's rudeness shows up against Tiara, who came up with this supposition.
Another one, Fang meets Sherman in his travel to take a Fury away from one of the Dorfa's Four Heavenly Czars, Apollonius, he helplessly lets Sherman do involved by his own. After Apollonius defeated, Fang was reluctant to accept Sherman as his teammate, despite his preconception about him.
There is a time after Fang's party defeated Apollonius, Fang goes to a hot spring with Sherman, Eryn and Tiara. For a while after, monsters unexpected attacks the bathhouse and pursues Eryn and Tiara to the cliff. When Tiara fell off, Fang immediately jumps down to save her, and fortunately, they are both safe. Fang beats up the last remained monsters followed them without Eryn. At this point, he earns some affection from Tiara, which leads Fang confusing when she asks him not to fall in love with her.
Because of his careless as serious as he mislaid his wallet somewhere before the meal in diner. A nobody-looking Fencer named Pippin generous pay for his meal instead. Pippin then decides to join Fang's party in order to correct his behavior.
In his free time, Fang saved a girl named Emily who traveled to Zelwinds city to revenge her older brother. His looks remind her of him. Things have been unveiled that her brother is Apollonius, which means Fang is the one who she wants to kill. Received her amulet that she used to want to give it to her brother without knowing who Fang is, Emily left, making Fang regrets about what he did before.
In the Goddess route, Fang's party faces Bernard and Marianna, those two member of the Four Heavenly Czars who wanted to revive the Vile God as Dorfa will. Get killed by Fang, his party is able to take the Faith Drop. But an unexpected thing happened after the huge war against Dorfa, he realized that Tiara was killed and refused to admit her death. His wish makes it to its fate and send him back to the past when everything has not been occurred.
Wake up in the Sol Plain, where Fang first met Tiara, he with Eryn tried to find the others, then he happened to meet Tiara the same way as before he did. He confronts her but not realize that she don't know him, she sees him as a "stalker" and then run away when Fang pointed out that her brewed tea caused paralysis.
Dealt with the Hoodlum Fencer like before, Tiara admits that Fang is a skillful Fencer and asks him for a party. Fang thinks she is acting strange but still accepted her request. He keep asking her about what happened in the last world until Eryn realized something and explained that they were sent back to the past. Together they decide to hide all about Tiara's death from her and proves that they were from the future by revealing locations of Furies which they known.
On his travels to prove the truth, Fang and Eryn found that the world had been changed, first discovery was the monster, which they called "singularity". Soon after that, Fang meet Harley again, and also reveals her personal information, nothing actually changed since the first time Fang and Eryn met, Harley too joins their party.
Fang's ideal changed in the last world, because of that, he wanted to ally other Fencer as much as possible and did his best to avoid killing them. Fang convinced Apollonus and Ethel, those who died in the last world, to join with them. However, Fang noticed that Sherman personality had been distorted due to him also traveled through time with Fang and Eryn. He failed to convince Sherman afterwards.
Having Galdo and Pippin joined the party, Fang rushes to follow the clue of the Faith Drop, but ends up seeing that it is nowhere to be found. Fang has no choice but to find some information from Lola searches. According to her clue, Fang gets right into a trap that Marianna set up to kill them. Fang's party managed to defeat her, but Fang choose to convince her to get out of the way to perish the present world. Then let her escaped.
In agreement with Harley's suggestion, Fang and the others go to Inverted Tower and find the Faith Drop. He then leads his party to where the goddess seal is placed, but got rejected by the Goddess. Fang had yet unworthy to received her immense power. Sherman and Marianna attacks them once again, then retreats. Fang got killed in the fight, and had been revived by Eryn who sacrificed herself to merge her existence with his.
Bernard captures Tiara while Fang and the others are running onto the top of Stairway to Heaven, during a fight with Marianna. Fang reaches the top, in which he finds out Tiara in Sherman's ritual. Failed to prevent the Vile God reborn, he sees that Sherman used his life to control the Vile God, but he lost conscious instead. Fang's wish to save Tiara was approved by the Goddess, gave him access to the Goddess's power, one last chance to stand against the Vile God.
In the hopelessness bringing Sherman back, Fang glimpses Sherman's image in person. He wants Fang to give up on him. Little hope passed with the nostalgia of Fang, he seals the Vile God, brings peace to all the humanity.
Fang has no backstory, nothing about family and friends or anything else about his life before the game begins. The only hint is one of his victory quote mentioning his grandfather, probably the person who taught him how to fight.
Relationships:
Leana:
Fang’s first impression of Leana was that she was a total klutz, and a bit air-headed despite knowing she’s a valuable ally. It wasn’t until Fang learns more about Leana’s personal life and her struggles, that he warms up to her a bit more. Leana is also the only woman in the party that doesn’t criticize Fang’s languid attitude. She a,ways wore a soft, pleasant smile and while Fang wondered how she could always stay so positive, it was a mystery he didn’t feel like solving. That was, until the day it finally faltered.
After Leana tells Fang more about her ill sister, Fang swears that he would do what he could to help Leana find a cure, or at the very least support her in her search of one. Fang tends to be especially careful with Leana due to her fear of men and being touched. As the story progresses and Leana becomes more comfortable, she asks Fang to hold her hand.
It is incredibly obvious to everybody but Fang that Leana is madly in love with him.
Tiara:
Fang initially treats Tiara indifferently, but acknowledges her as a valuable ally and someone he cares about. The two often bickered a lot initially, with Fang calling her names (much to her masochistic pleasure) and berating her gaudy lifestyle and habits.
It wasn't until the hot springs event where upon being ambushed by an enemy that tried to kidnap Eryn and Tiara that Fang risked his life to save Tiara, despite falling off a cliff into a river and not having Eryn to back him up. Tiara and Fang shared a private moment wherein she told him to "Not fall in love with her" to Fang's confusion.
This cryptic statement turned out to have relevance later though, when Tiara is killed later during the summoning of the Goddess. It is at this point that Fang wishes to go back to a time that Tiara was alive, and as such Fang and Eryn get transported back to the past, right before he met Tiara.
Initially distrusting, even more so than when they first initially met calling him a "stalker" and being creeped out by his ability to predict future events. Fang reassured her in the same way he did when he first met her, protecting her from a bandit that accosts her (yet again) and earning her trust, for the moment.
Galdo:
Self-Proclaimed apprentice of Fang, Galdo and Fang share a bond that can only be considered as mentor/student. Galdo initially was working for Zenke and the Dorfa Company, but upon being defeated by Fang, he apologized to Zenke for losing, and was about to be cut down by Zenke before Fang stepped in and saved Galdo's life. Amazed by his selflessness for a person who was just his enemy, Galdo extends his gratitude by joining the party.
It is Fang that defends Galdo from Tiara's initial outbursts of distrust, claiming that Galdo was a good person. Galdo is constantly trying to show off his talent to Fang, who acknowledges that Galdo is an asset to the party.
Galdo and Fang have a similar mindset, as they tend to say the same lines at the same exact time, or share similar viewpoints about certain people, such as Sherman.
Harley:
Fang and Harley have almost a sibling-like relationship, almost. Harley likes to playfully tease Fang in some of the sub events they have together, usually making Fang embarrassed/uncomfortable only for her to begin going off on Fairy lectures. Like everyone else, Fang sees Harley as a good ally, and is especially fond of her fairy, Bahus for cooking excellent food for him all the time.
Eryn:
Eryn and Fang are both Fairy and Fencer respectively, and as such are subject to a "special bond" that exists only between fairy and fencer, according to Harley. Initially wanting nothing to do with being a Fencer, Fang tries his hardest to get out of being a Fencer until Eryn mentions that her memories are missing and that if left alone she would surely wither and disappear. Fang's conscience gets the better of him and he agrees to help Eryn solely for the sake of getting her memories back under one condition: That he would control his fate, and nobody else.
Despite everything Fang and Eryn say, Eryn and Fang make almost a perfect match as Fairy and Fencer. Both of them have been shown to not be early-risers and a bit of a slob from time to time, as well as both of them being particularly enthusiastic about showing off their skills. It eventually gets to the point where Eryn can sense Fang's desires to the point where communication becomes unnecessary for them to understand each other.
Like Tiara, after the hot springs incident, she grows to respect Fang a bit more as a fencer and sees him as someone reliable.
After Tiara dies and Fang and Eryn return to the past, She confessed that she was in love with Fang when he playfully asked if she was falling in love with him. Possibly due to their increased bond, Eryn's Fury undergoes a transformation after breaking down, resulting in Fang and Eryn being stronger than ever before.
Sherman:
Sherman is considered to be the complete opposite as Fang by almost everyone in the group. Being kind, polite, well mannered and having a strong sense of justice he is always seen as a more reliable and better version of Fang much to his dismay.
Due to this Fang has a sense of jealously towards Sherman and distaste for him. However later on Fang is shown to rival and even surpass Sherman causing him to at least acknowledge Fang as a valuable fighter.
Although Fang generally shows annoyance towards Sherman he still values him as a friend and powerful ally.

“What’s up? You need something?”
"Everyones flocking to me like flies to garbage." "Idiot. Im so considerate that I give myself ulcers."
"I'm the one who decides my fate, even if I have to will that fate into existence. Make sure to never forget that."
"Man, I just wanna live a lazy life. Most people won't admit that, so the fact that I can say that out loud proves that I'm the man. Yup! I'm definitely awesome!"
