Book description
Sans, also known as Faller, is an artificially created variant of Sans the Skeleton. W.D. Gaster created him to assist the Ending Time Octet after Phase 5 in their battle against a powerful evil version of Chara, who destroyed multiple timelines.
Faller was created with the powers and memories of the initial Ending Time Octet, who are also time variants of Sans the Skeleton. The variants are code-named Last Breath, Dust, Karma's a B1#ch, Tears in the Rain, Hard Mode, Horror, Killer, and Insanity.

- #1Memories from Last Breath
Keys: Last Breath's memories, Last Breath
These are the memories of Last Breath Sans:
After an unknown amount of genocide timelines occur, Sans is napping at his sentry station, when a figure starts appearing throughout his dreams. Sans was by the figure informed of the human's intentions to forever use monsters as their puppets and slaughter them. Skeptical at first, Sans refused to believe so; Gaster then resurfaced past Genocide timelines throughout Sans' mind.
Now fully convinced, Sans readies himself to confront Frisk at the Last Corridor, not holding back.
Sans gets hit, falling to the ground as he begins to bleed from the scar. When he becomes confused as to why he hasn't yet turned to dust, checking his HP to see he has a small fraction of health left.
Refusing to let this second chance go to waste, Sans engages Frisk in another fight. Sans soon gets tired again from attacking and blocking, falling to the ground and dying.
After Sans turns to dust, the mysterious character (Gaster) appears, takes over Sans' body, and destroys each of the menu buttons (Fight, Act, Item, and Mercy). Not only that but he then blindly attacks as a maniac, hoping to put an end to things once and for all. Eventually, Sans finally runs out of magic. As he looks like he hopes for the better to come, Frisk manages to hit him a second time. Sans then looks like he's about to stop smiling for once, but turns to dust and ashes before he could do so.
Sans creates the Karmatic Time Trio.
- #2Memories from Dust
Keys: Dust, Dust's memories
Throughout hundreds of genocides and resets, he has tried every way he could think of to stop the human other than LV but all have failed, resulting of what he is now. He plans to make them just tired of dying―like he did in the Final Corridor―but beyond the resets, with his newly found determination.
The human soul was too powerful for the one-LV monster, so he decides to sacrifice other monsters, to get LOVE himself for a greater good. He feels heavily guilty and dreams horrible nightmares of them. But as the killing goes on, his sense of guilt slowly fades away. At that point, stopping the human becomes the only thing that matters to him; the others would be reset anyways.
His brother is the last monster he would kill, but he kills him too, thinking that it will be less painful than to be killed by the human. That is his final mental breakdown, after which he turns insane and hallucinations of his brother.
He creates the Murder Time Trio to help stop the Genocide Players in other timelines.
- #3Memories from Karma's A B#tch
Keys: Karma's a B1#tch, Karma, Karma's memories
These are Sans' memories from his variant Karma's a B1#ch: Sans remembers the resets and all the lives taken by a human. He thinks of a way to defeat then before he asks a question. If bad KARMA hurts sinners, does good KARMA exists?
After being hit, Sans has his monologue about how KARMA works. By giving him a "second chance," the human is being punished for all the lives they have taken through each reset. Rather than him being rewarded, he is being used like a tool for the force of KARMA (he is not literally being controlled by KARMA as KARMA is a force, not an entity).
Sans then collapses due to exhaustion, before pulling out his last trick; a vial of Determination. He injects it into himself, not caring that he would eventually melt, and fights the human. After a long fight, he resets the timeline. He joins the Karmatic Time Trio.
- #4Memories from Tears In The Rain
Keys: Tears' memories, Tears in the Rain, Tears
These are the memories or Tears In The Rain Sans:
After finding out the genocide runs, Sans decides to attack the human in the middle of a Genocide Run at Snowdin.}
- #5Memories from Hard Mode
Keys: Hard Mode, Hard Mode's memories
These are the memories of Hard Mode Sans: After remembering the first genocide run, Sans pushes himself to his limits to give it his all the next time the human faces him. He joins the Karmatic Time Trio.
- #6Memories from Horror
Keys: Horror‘s memories, Horror, Axe
These are the memories of Horror Sans:
Around one month after the Core malfunctioned, Sans and Papyrus would give their food away to ones in need, while Sans would convince his friends that support and jokes is enough to keep their spirits moving in the right direction. One day, some of the dog monsters left to go to the Core for a meeting and asked Sans if he would want to come along before they left Grillby's. Sans turned down the offer and decided to eat. Suddenly, Grillby smashed his food, screamed from pain, as the clean magic of air that created the fire of his very existence was now gone, and begged Sans for help. Scared, Sans ran out of the restaurant and decided to join the dogs to the Core.
Sans later arrived to meet Undyne and Papyrus, apologizing for being late and handed her blueprints of the Core's interior. Undyne was left impressed by his work and thanked him. As a response, Sans said, "What are friends for?", leaving Undyne to go and reconcile for lashing out at Alphys a month ago. As they hugged, Sans and Papyrus decided to go home and eat some food. As Sans turned around to say goodbye, he noticed Alphys staring at him, very intense and crazed, making Sans somewhat intense.
Three months had passed and the Core was nowhere near being fixed. Sans was walking around Waterfall at the time and heard a conversation of Undyne and Alphys were having at another location through an Echo Flower. He was left horrified from Undyne's consideration of suicide, Alphys mentioning that food was running low, the thoughts of monsters wanting to eat one another, and most importantly, Alphys suggesting that they use what ever kind of powerful magic Sans had in him to power the Core. Not wanting any of this to happen, Sans spent weeks in the shed, conducting plans of engineering and science.
Papyrus attempted to reach out to him, but he was not interested. Upset, Papyrus began to leave for the Core. Thinking of the horrible stuff that Undyne could possibly do to his brother, Sans offered to go in his place. As he almost left town, the Not-Mayor Bear caught up to him and expressed his concerns for him. Sans shook them off and told his friend that he was fine, but was really hiding his true feelings. The Bear then walked him to the end of town and packed him a pear for the road.
A while later, Sans noticed a kid crying from starvation. Sans offered his pear to the kid, but was left in shock from how disfigured their face was, as they were dusting. Once the kid had dissolved completely, one of Undyne's guards appeared and walked him to the lab, telling Sans how noble he's been for giving his food away, but also worrying about his state. They then arrived at the lab, with the guard shutting the door behind him, leaving Sans in the dark and creepy lab.
Sans walked through the halls of the lab, pretty jumpy about how dark it was. As he began to brush his worries aside, he heard screaming, with his reaction being creating many numbers of bones down one of the halls. Once he started to calm down, he instantly screamed and jumped when a goat mother (possibly Toriel) was creepily smiling right next him after the loss of her child. Blaming her daughter's death on Undyne, she stated to Sans that she was starting a revolution against the queen. Before she left, she offered Sans a place in her uprising.
A while later, Sans met up with Undyne in front of the Core. Undyne, not wanting to sacrifice her friend and being afraid that his presence may make her consider it, asked Sans to leave. Sans did not, however, and said that he had an idea to fix the core. He devised that they destroy the only power cell inside it and rebuild it. As he began to leave, Undyne yelled at Sans for being useless, as she thought his plan was stupid. Hearing this, Sans immediately grew angry that he was giving away his food, convincing his friends not to end it, and staying up day and night trying to fix the core himself, only to be called useless.
After a long argument, Sans apologized for his outburst and offered Undyne to have some food at his house. Undyne, finally losing it with no other options, had her guards pin down Sans and explained to him everything Alphys had told her about him. She gripped a mechanical claw in her hand and held it close to his face in means of extracting his "Bad Time Eye". Pissed, Sans breaks free and fights back with his magic, confirming to Undyne that Alphys was right. As he tries to teleport away, Undyne holds him still with Green Magic and throws arrows at him. Sans's reflexes prove to be far to fast for her to hit him and explains that she should quit. Alphys, however, speaks through the speakers and tells Undyne that she should wear him out. Before she could say anything else, Sans destroys the speaker.
Undyne attempts to wrap up the fight by throwing one giant spear at him. Before it could touch him, Sans uses his magic to repel the spear and hit the right side of Undyne's face, thus preventing her from turning into Undyne the Undying and causing her to release Sans from the magic grip from the pain. However, reflecting the spear took a lot of magic and energy, resulting in Sans collapsing from exhaustion. Seeing her chance, Undyne grabs him and holds him up. Sans attempts one last time to convince her there were more ways to fix the core, but this falls on deaf ears as his eye is removed from his head. This results a giant hole in the side of Sans' head and bleeding out, but not turning to dust. As Undyne leaves, the guards prepare to bury him, but Sans is still very much "alive" and he kills one of the guards, taking his eye and shoving it into his own socket. In the process, the blood that was pouring from his injury turns the eye red.
He then chases one of the guards to the core where he warns Undyne that Sans wasn't exactly dead. He killed the guard, then attacked everyone in the room with bones, harming them with his Karma effect. He quickly leaves, to go confront Alphys, as this was her idea from the beginning.
Sans knocks on the door to her lab. Knowing who it was, Alphys refuses to let him in, only for the wall to be destroyed by him. Alphys cowers, saying there was an explanation for their attempted murder. Sans does not want to hear it and then prepares to rip out her jaw. Alphys quickly presses a button, turning on a machine that was powered by his eye. Recognizing the blue glow as his magic, Sans began to hear reason from what Alphys had to say, while saying Sans had every right to be mad and kill her. She explains that his idea about the "Core's core" was too big of a risk, and that while this wasn't justified, Alphys tells him that monsters had him to thank for this. Sans remained silent, seemingly beginning to understand her actions. However, Alphys went too far by saying that while she was sorry for her convincing of Undyne to kill him, she expresses that she doesn't regret her choices and that she did the right thing. This seems to trigger Sans, as he turns towards her with a creepy smile. He then proceeds to impale Alphys' head into many sharp bones sticking out of the wall and damage the Core with many bones, thus rendering the Underground without power once more. He then leaves to avoid Undyne's wrath.
He joins Dust's Murder Time Trio
- #7Memories from Killer
Keys: Killer, Killer's Memories
The Player as Chara wants something new in the game, decides to convince Sans into joining them on their genocide, while not accepting the offer for 176 entire runs, on the 177th run Sans (now unknowingly having his code altered by the player to accept rather then deny the offer) accepts wanting to see "Something New". The easiest enemy for sans was papyrus and toriel
While at first, Sans somewhat struggles with it, knowing that it will be forgotten upon the next reset. First he kills Flowey, and then Grillby. he then encounters Papyrus who was searching for him, Sans then yells at Papyrus about how much he hates him and how jealous of him he is. Papyrus realizes that his sheer existence is hurting Sans, accepting his death. This causes Sans to break down into tears in regret, with Chara comforting him telling him that nobody will remember.
Later, Sans and Chara fuck up (kills) Alphys, Undyne, Mettaton and they do it all of it over and over again. Over the course of several resets his soul changes due to the game not knowing if he is a human or monster and DT starts dripping out of his eyes. Chara explains that his soul is now no longer monster or human, and he won't feel anything just like them, revealing their own soul to be like Sanses.
Sans kills Chara, gaining complete control over the timeline. He was kidnapped by Nightmare and forced to serve before being rescued by Color Sans. He joins Dust's Murder Time Trio.
- #8Memories from Insanity
Keys: Insanity, Insanity's memories
These are the memories of Insanity Sans; Gaster infects Sans with one of his DT experiments. Instead of altering his body, the determination alters his mind, removing crucial parts of it, namely Happiness, Confusion, Common Sense, and Empathy. Upon meeting Frisk, Sans discovers the power of RESET, the ability to commit murder and get away with it. Upon the realisation of this power, he kills everyone in his timeline over and over, enjoying every moment, apparently becoming unstoppable. He joins Dust's Murder Time Trio as a backup member.
