A highly potent chemical that is made to produce rainbows. It is made by either magic, extreme amounts of speed or joy, or inside the body. Everyone produces it to color our bodies; the pigmentation in our skin, fur, and hair is made of chemicals. Spectra, when in it's liquid form, is over 200 degrees Fahrenheit, only able to be held together by a special metal and then made into gas to make the rainbow.

The most important rule in the factory is to stay quiet. No one can know outside the factory what happens inside the rainbow department. The workers must stay inside the department at all times; if anyone leaves without authorization, mandatory takedowns are in order. Staff must never leave; if they want new living quarters, they have to talk to management. The living quarters are in the basement; staff must find good places to live after work and have mental health checks every week to make sure that they won't blabber or mess up protocols. Hygiene must be taken care of, the factory must be cleaned after every shift, and janitors must be crime scene cleaners. The correct tools and chemical's must be used for the cleaning of each tank and each medial table. Any unhygienic places can cause sickness and bring down the factory easily. Medical masks will be given to anybody testing on people, and in rooms where there are bodily fluids, they must have a lab coat, gloves, a mask, boots, pants, and no skin aside from your face and/or neck should be seen. Hair must be put up in a ponytail or bun if the staff member's hair is longer than shoulder length. Any staff that leaves the rainbow department must have the proper authority for it or be at a certain level for it. The only people who are allowed to leave without permission are when test subjects are given and people need to process them and bring them to the testing chambers. When leaving, you either have to have a full black outfit, a long-sleeve black shirt, black gloves, a black mask, black pants, and black boots; any hair that is shown outside the mask must be dyed or sprayed colored black; any other features that can show who the person is must be removed; any tails that are too long must be surgically cut; any wings must be surgically removed; and any others will be dyed or cut. Staff will be paid even if they are staying in the facility; it keeps staff mentally well and allows them to feel like they are able to live a normal life. All outside sources that are helping the rainbow department must be paid to stay quiet and not allowed inside the facility. Any people who are heard talking about the facility are going to be put down. Any people who are gossiping inside the facility are to also be fired, deported, and/or put down. Only transportation, judges, managers, and teachers will be paid for their help in the department. They will not speak with their help; if they do, instant termination will be put into action. Test subjects are only to be taken care of if they are tested; any that are used to extract spectra are to be put in the waiting area to be used; the only thing that is needed is their adrenaline pumping, and we will be fine for extraction. Testing subjects are used to find better and newer ways to extract it; ethical protocol's are ignored for test subjects if they are not following rules; only ethical protocols that are used are for staff. If a subject is unable to produce Spectra, the blood that is useless must be contained, boxed, and burned. Anything that did not turn into Spectra during the process must also be burned; no outside uses will be allowed, not even for blood transfusions from the chemical's added to make the blood and flesh become Spectra; it will cause anyone that has the blood transfused to be melted from the inside and will turn into Spectra.
