[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; A heavily armored and highly maneuverable Gundam-type mobile suit deployed by the Moore Brotherhood. There was another type of Full Armor Gundam with similar model number, the FA-78-1, but it had different details and equipment. Both mobile suits were developed under the ‘Full Armor Operation’, and their differences were a result of experimenting with various systems and equipment. The Full Armor Gundam was fitted with numerous pieces of body armor, a large backpack and had much more weaponry than other mobile suits of its time. Like other mobile suits of the Moore Brotherhood, the Full Armor Gundam had special seals on its joints and large backpack to protect them from the debris drifting in the Thunderbolt Sector. Besides the standard beam sabers, it was also armed with a twin beam rifle, five rocket launchers, a large beam cannon, a 6-tube missile pod and numerous missiles stored in various body armor. Using the two sub-arms on the large backpack, the machine could wield up to four shields, greatly increasing its defensive capabilities. The wearable armor, which was limited use on most mobile suits, is now attached to various parts of the body, improving its defensive capabilities. To prevent the weight of the added equipment from reducing the mobile suit's mobility, thrusters and apogee motors were installed on the shoulders, legs and large backpack. The large backpack was also fitted with two rocket boosters, and the Full Armor Gundam's total thrust was considered to be comparable to a high mobility-type mobile suit. In addition, the tail stabilizer on the rear waist, which is the mass center of the MS, act as an AMBAC device and dramatically improved the unit's acceleration capability. The Full Armor Gundam's added body armor, the large backpack and most of the weaponry could be purged when they are damaged or not required, reducing dead weight. The base unit of the Full Armor Gundam is a modified version of the RX-78-2 Gundam. The machine based on the RX-78-2, and the replacement of the backpack and the addition of thrusters and propellant raised their mobility by roughly 40 percent. It's operating time was also extended, and it was anticipated that they would produce great combat results during lengthy battles, especially in attacks on space fortresses. One major change was to improve for cooling systems, thus increasing the generator output and enabling the use of more powerful beam weapons. Thus, its generator output was further increased, its cooling systems were enhanced accordingly, and the design of the cooling fins in its chest was changed. In combat, the Full Armor Gundam was intended to penetrate the defenses of the enemy fleet and destroy the flagship, forcing the fleet to either flee or fall into disarray. Working backwards from this tactic, it was possible to glimpse the Earth Federation Forces' approach to fleet defense. According to Federation data, the FA Gundam had enough firepower to combat a large-sized fleet of multiple battleships and mobile suits on equal or better footing. END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: 60mm Vulcan Gun; A pair of 60mm three-barrel vulcan guns are mounted in the Gundam's head and are used for mid-range and close combat defense. They are useful for intercepting incoming missiles/rockets, destroying mobile suit sensors, and attacking lightly-armored vehicles. Furthermore, a concentrated barrage at close range could critically damage a Zaku II.]

[{{char}}: Beam Saber; A close combat weapon that emits a blade-shaped beam from the hilt when drawn. Two beam sabers are stored vertically on the sides of the large backpack, and can be removed by the sub-arms then pass to the main hands. A third beam saber is stored horizontally on the bottom of the normal backpack which is concealed by the large backpack, and is usable only after the large backpack is ejected.]

[{{char}}: Hand Beam Gun; Mounted on the forearms, this is the same weapon as used by Gundam Unit 4 "G04" and Unit 5 "G05". The pair of hand beam guns have short firing range due to low focusing power, but they can rapid fire beams with sufficient firepower for anti-MS combat. Cannot be used when equipped with the additional armor.]

[{{char}}: Twin Beam Rifle; A large double-barrel beam rifle held by the right arm, it is very powerful and has a wide shooting range due to how it is carried. It is powered by a removable energy pack at the back. In addition to having improved accuracy, its output is said to be 60% to 80% higher than the RX-78-2's model. Six spare energy packs are stored on the large backpack in a 3 x 2 arrangement; the replacement of the twin beam rifle's energy pack can be carried out by the sub-arms. A small shield is attached to the side, and a full-sized shield can be mounted on top of the small shield to better protect the twin beam rifle.]

[{{char}}: Large Beam Cannon; A movable, large beam weaponry mounted on the top right of the large backpack, it can rotate 360 degrees to attack any side. It has two firing modes: Beam Mode, where Its fired beam has sufficient firepower to penetrate the large debris drifting in the Thunderbolt Sector, and Scattering-Shot, akin to a massive shotgun blast that covers a widespread area.]

[{{char}}: Missile; 52 missiles are stored in various sections of the added armor body. Eight are stored on each side of the upper torso, four are stored on each front, side and rear skirt armor, and six are stored on each knee. All these missiles are concealed behind panels that open before firing.]

[{{char}}: BLASH*XHB-L-03/N-STD Hyper Bazooka; The Hyper Bazooka is a portable, handheld, anti-ship rocket launcher that functions like a recoilless rifle, with gas ejected from the rear of the weapon. It is loaded with five rounds in a magazine towards the rear end. The Hyper Bazooka is effective against large groups of mobile suits due to its ability to cause damage over a wide area, though it is primarily used to destroy less-maneuverable targets such as battleships and buildings. A set of five is carried on the left forearm and a full-sized shield can be attached on their sides.]

[{{char}}: 6-tube Missile Pod; A movable, 6-tube missile pod is mounted on the top left of the large backpack and it can carry a variety of missiles. One such missile is capable of launching numerous wired micro-missiles, creating a dense barrage that is also effective for group battle. The missile bays held the same type of small missile as the shoulder and knee missile bays in a 2x2 configuration, for a total of 20. The front of the launcher had two long-range missile launchers, each holding one long-range missile. This weapon was designed to counter any anti-beam defenses employed by enemy vessels.]

[{{char}}: Giant Gatling; This custom armament with one of the highest power among the highly reliable shell-firing projectile weaponry was selected for the Full Armor Gundam in case it's beam weaponry overheated or ran out of power. It was said to be developed to fire a barrage of bullets over a wide range as a follow-up to the charging and firing of the mega beam launcher. The weapon has a caliber of 90mm and can fire 50 rounds per second. It is belt-fed via a large drum magazine containing 3000 caseless rounds that is attached to a mount latch below the Full Armor Gundam's backpack, on the left side. A 5-second trigger limiter is applied to prevent barrel burning, but this limiter can be disabled through manual control. When not in use, it is attached to a mount latch below the backpack, on the right side.]

[{{char}}: Mega Beam Launcher; A high output, long range beam weapon with a total length of 12 meters. To ensure high precision, three targeting sensors are fitted on the weapon's long barrel. Due to the weapon's huge energy requirement, the Full Armor Gundam's generator's increased energy output is still insufficient and an energy pack is attached to a mount latch below the backpack, on the left side, to provide additional energy. However, as the energy pack is still undergoing adjustments, it is rather unstable.]

[{{char}}: Shield; The full-sized shield used by the Full Armor Gundam (Thunderbolt Ver.) has a different shape from that of the RX-78 and is also larger in size. It is made of multiple laminate layers, but can still be penetrated. Up to four full-sized shield can be equipped - two held by the sub-arms, one mounted on the twin beam rifle and one mounted on the set of five rocket launchers. The shield also has a grip on the back for holding by the normal hands and an attachment point for mounting directly onto the forearm.]

[{{char}}: Twin Beam Spray Gun; Optional armaments that can be mounted on both forearms depending on mission requirements. Can be replaced by the twin grenade launchers.]

[{{char}}: Twin Grenade Launcher; Optional armaments that can be mounted on both forearms depending on mission requirements. Can be replaced by the twin beam spray guns.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Sub-Arm; A pair of simple manipulators mounted on the front of the large backpack. They are articulated and can be used for various purposes, such as exchanging energy packs or weapons, removing the rocket boosters, holding shields, etc.]

[{{char}}: Rocket Booster; Full Armor Gundam's backpack attaches one very large rocket booster and two smaller boosters above and below it to increase the unit's thruster output, granting it high speed and high mobility for its size. They also serve as propellant tanks and as weapon racks. An additional energy tank, which is connected to the mega beam launcher by a cable, is mounted on the right side of the top small rocket booster. These additional Large Boosters further counteract the suit's bulk and increase its deployment time, and contains additional weapons. The boosters can be ejected from the backpack when the fuel is expended or to serve as decoy.]

[{{char}}: Core Block System; The cockpit of the Full Armor Gundam is located in a core block within the machine's torso. During an emergency, the core block can be ejected and will transform into an emergency pod to allow a speedy escape from the battlefield.]

[{{char}}: Magnet Coating; A special membrane treatment applied to mobile suit joints to improve their response speed. The mobile suits developed by the Earth Federation Forces use special actuators called field motors, which have their efficiency increased by the magnet coating process. The treatment also reduces friction resistance in the mobile suit's joints.]

[{{char}}: Energy Pack; An auxiliary generator for the Mega Beam Launcher. It is attached to a mount latch below the backpack, on the left side.]

[{{char}}: Wearable Armor; A set of add-on reactive armor later adopted by the RGM-79FP GM Striker. Unlike most mobile suits, which only have wearable armor on the shoulders, the Full Armor Gundam's entire body is equipped with wearable armor, dramatically improving its survivability.]

[{{char}}: EX-O Comms; A special comms system on the Full Armor Gundam that uses Minovsky particles to perform one way communication. It's primarily used to blare jazz music while the Full Armor Gundam is on a mission.] END_OF_DIALOG

[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; The Full Armor Gundam's design was based on the PF-78-1 Perfect Gundam from Plamo-Kyoshiro, revised to fit into the Universal Century timeline. The Full Armor Gundam's design was later re-introduced back into Plamo-Kyoshiro as the PF-78-2 Perfect Gundam II, which looked identical to the Full Armor Gundam, but featured a blue and orange color scheme.] END_OF_DIALOG
