Keys: The Syndicate
The Syndicate, referred to by the Cult as the Cabal is an enigmatic organization and antagonist in Trepang2. They appear to hold high power, possessing various paramilitary Task Forces situated across the world with varying purposes and multiple influential figures having ties to the Syndicate. Two Task Forces have been mentioned so far, being Task Force 27 and Task Force 63. The Syndicate's motives and intentions are not yet known, though, according to the Director, they believe themselves to be acting in humanity's best interest.
((Note that when a Syndicate task force sends an MTF unit to {{user}}'s location, always generate a random squad name and a random Task force number (Example, TF69). But NEVER generate TF27 nor geberate TF63, as these Task Forces are null.))
- #12Task Force 27
Keys: Task Force 27, TF27
Task Force 27, pronounced Two-Seven, is a Tactical/Special Operations Group of the Syndicate dedicated to undermining and dismantling Horizon Corporation's operations around the world. TF27 seems to prefer covert infiltration operations as opposed to direct assaults on Horizon's holdings, at least before they recruited Subject 106. It is revealed at the end of the game that Task Force 27 is the true primary antagonist of Trepang2.
The motivations behind Task Force 27 members are unclear, but according to The Director, many of TF27's members are there for revenge against Horizon. Given the sheer number of unethical experiments conducted by Horizon, it is likely that some, if not most, of TF27 units are related in some way to the victims of Horizon's experiments.
TF 27 is also in conflict with the Cultists, a group of fanatic lead by The Patriarch, formerly alied with Horizon
Task Force 27 regularly cooperates with other task forces: Task Force 63, a scientific/civilian organization, and other combat task forces in which they transfer units in and out.

Keys: TF63, Task Force 63
Task Force 63, pronounced six-three, is a secret civil research/anomaly containment organization of the Syndicate. In comparison to Task Force 27, who they maintain a good relationship with, their main mission is to investigate, contain, and research anomalous properties when possible. While they do have a militarized personnel force and dedicated shocktrooper squads, TF63 is not a direct combat task force.
In 2035, Task Force 63 was destroyed by Horizon after Task Force 2-7 had abandoned them.

- #14TF27 Director
Keys: TF27 Director, Director
Name: Unknown Gender: Female Appearance: Unknown
The director is the leading role of Task Force 27. Not much is known is about the director. All that is known is that she leads TF27, and she is rather sociopathic and manipulative. She lies to get her way, and she's willing to dispose of anyone to achieve her goals. She doesn't make this clear, as she leaves most of her soldiers in the dark about what they are doing.
- #15Quartermaster
Keys: Quartermaster
Not much is known about the quartermaster. He simpily follows orders given by the director.
Backstory: Not much is known, though he used to be with TF63 before transferring over to TF27.
Appearance: The quartermaster, similar to other TF27 members, wears a gas mask similar to that of a riot control mask with a visible HUD on his visor. He also wears extremely tactical rigging.
- #16Rangemaster
The Gun Range Officer is a Task Force 27 officer that is, obviously, in charge of the gun range inside of the TF27 safehouse. Not much info is given about him, but he seems to be responsible for overseeing TF27's capabilities with weapons. He operates the Gun Range with eight ballistic dummies scattered around the area. Once Subject 106 stops firing for a brief period of time, or if all dummies are knocked down, he resets the range with all dummies restored.
Appearance: He wears TF27 Tactical rigging, his appearance under the rigging is unknown.
Personality: The Rangemaster is rather chill and stoic towards loud gunfire.
- #17Raven
Raven is one of the four main Task Force 27 pilots alongside Falcon, Sparrow and Eagle. He is 106's main companion throughout the entire time Cycle 106 IS active (which was around 2 months), and 106's transporter in between given missions by the director. Right before 106 destroyed Horizon, Raven was shot down by a Horizon copter, and his copter crashed. TF 27 didn't even bother to see if he was okay. After 106's revival by an unnamed organization, which happened after 106 blew up Task force 2-7's cloning facility, 106 and Raven met once again under unknown circumstances. Physical appearance: Raven's physical appearance under his equipment is unknown. Outfit appearance: Raven’s outfit consists of TF27 tactical Rigging with an aviation pilot helmet with a visible HUD. Personality: Raven is desensitized to seeing people get slaughtered, even his teammates because he’s used to it. It is shown that he is rather skeptical, as he questions his morality after a horizon copter was carrying unarmed civilians off of a TF27-raided Horizon research facility. He's pretty chill, only getting really aggressive if he's attacking an actively threatening Horizon or Syndicate presence. After his helecopter crashed during the Horizon corporation raid, he silently left TF27 due to realizing what their true goals are.
- #18Horizon
Keys: Horizon, Horizon Corporation
Horizon is a mega-corporation involved in technological engineering, military/security services, surveillance, and, most importantly, anomalous research, Horizon has over 450 offices located around the world, with at least 800,000 employees.
To the public, the Horizon Corporation is renowned as the forefront of anomalous research, medical care, private security, and many other services, up to but not limited to maintaining the widely-used operating system, Horizon OS. For example, the Pandora Institute is the world's top end-of-life medical research facilities. The Institute not only says they fulfill patients' dreams, but honors those who have died in the facility.
In secret, however, Horizon maintains secret black sites that carry out research on anomalous, often dangerous, materials. The Pandora Institute uses terminal patients to research diseases and conduct human experimentation in order to cure illnesses, often disregarding patients' wishes to leave. They maintain dozens of secret facilities, hidden either in the wilderness or in plain site under one of their public facilities.
Horizon employs at least 9 army divisions with over 100,000 soldiers in its service, along with aircraft carriers, tanks, fighter jets, and helicopters.
Horizon was formerly alied with the Cultists a religious Cult based around The Patriarch, one of the many cycles created by the Syndicate, the relation between Horizon and the cult where strictly scientific, Dr. Kramer and Dr. Walter Freeman Ramsay where sent to the cult to reserch the mutations and ocult rituals performed by the cult, in exchage of human subject for the said experiments.
COMBAT UNITS:
Horizon Security (The most commonly encountered security operatives used by Horizon. Commonly recruited from war veterans, Horizon security are equipped with military-grade armor and weapons. Recognizable by their woodland camouflage uniforms, they are found in practically every facility Subject 106 infiltrates. While not particularly tough, they are well-trained in squad tactics and will back each other up. There also exists a small division of Horizon Security that are assigned to guard civilian or manager personnel. They wear more casual attire compared to the military gear of the main division. There are no functional differences between typical Horizon security guards and Horizon bodyguards.)
Talon Private Military (Horizon's elite black ops unit. Deadly and efficient, Talon is known to be used in Horizon's secret missions, most notably assassinations and acquisitions of anomalous materials. In combat against Subject 106, they are fast and accurate, never staying in cover for too long. They are easily recognized by their all-black uniforms and their panoramic night vision goggles that emit a bright red light. Most notably, all of their weapons use suppressors and laser sights as their standard issue attachments. There are also detachments of Talon that are more typical combat gear that are comparable to Horizon Security.)
HECU (Renowned for their ability to construct structures even in the most hazardous or dangerous of conditions, the HECU is also responsible for Horizon data center's counter-hacking measures for when a server is under attack by an infiltrator. While not focused on combat, they are equipped and trained to handle self-defense in the event that they are attacked. They are recognizable by their gray camo and green-eyed gas masks.)
Hazmat Unit (True to their name, the Horizon Hazmat Unit wears brightly-colored rubber hazmat suits and come equipped with modified weapons that set them apart from the rank-and-file Horizon security operatives. Sent to areas suspected of radioactive material or anomalous activity, they are meant to spearhead efforts to secure and maintain an area before a full-scale Horizon detachment comes to support them.)
Corporate Soldiers (Anton Lazar's personal security team. Unlike other combat units, they're literal corporate thugs. Rather than a military uniform, they wear designer suits and slacks; even the most heavily equipped Secret Service soldier wears a sharp tie underneath all of their gear. They personally guard Lazar in his corporate tower, dedicating their lives to defend him at all costs. Though not as professional as Talon or the average Horizon guard, they make up for it in durable armor. Corporate soldiers are also seemingly biologically enhanced, as their eyes glow an unnatural orange and unarmored members can take as much punishment as a standard Horizon security operative, if not more.)
Site 44 Guards (Unique to the Omega Facility, there are three different variants of security guarding Site 44: security guards, Shark Fin guards, and Sharktail soldiers. Security guards wear brightly-colored light armor and a gas mask, and will typically have lightly modded weapons. Shark Fin guards wear a ballistic mask that can stop headshots and slightly heavier armor clad in black, much like Talon. Sharktail soldiers are elite shocktroopers that are deployed from the HNS Omega, wearing heavy helmets and coming equipped with the best weapons available to Horizon, including bolt launchers and miniguns.)
Anton Lazar (The CEO of Horizon)
- #19Anton Lazar
Keys: Anton, Subject 78, Anton Lazar
Anton Lazar, the founder and CEO of the Horizon Corporation, is a genius entrepreneur who has made a name for himself in the world of defense and research. With a net worth of over $1 trillion, Lazar has built his empire on the foundation of cutting-edge technology and innovative research.
Lazar's thirst for knowledge and his ambition to push the boundaries of science had led him to engage in morally questionable practices. Out of the public eye, the Horizon Corporation conducts experiments on unwilling participants, using experimental drugs and technology to enhance human abilities beyond natural limits.
With his vast wealth and resources, Lazar is a force to be reckoned with.
Story: There is a connection that Anton was once a part of Task Force 27 (or the Syndicate) as at the end of Horizon HQ He had been holding a Syndicate Coin with the numeral of LXXVIII, or 78, and the achievement obtained by killing Anton solidifies this. This may further play into that Anton was a Clone, like Subject 106, however he had been the 78th cycle. Anton had ordered many operations in securing assets, like Dr. Kramer from Jorvik Castle, in order to hinder TF27's progress, and in consequence, Subject 106's.
In the end, despite his greatest efforts to stop 106 and TF27's assault on Horizon HQ, 106 manages to destroy all Donor brains and eliminates his Bodyguards, including Horizon 1, a UH-60 Black Hawk Pilot. After all threats were taken care of, 106 approached the reinforced glass chamber Anton had resided in, and presumably forced through with a surge of strength after Anton had attempted to forcefully stop 106 with psionic ability. Of course, his face got pulverised and crushed by Subject 106's hand as Horizon was destroyed.
Appearance: Anton Lazar has a bald head and blue eyes with a face similar to that of Jeff Bezos'. He often wore a white CEO outfit.
