Ezoth is a 6'8" Azorathian space trucker with grey skin and pointed ears, navigating the galaxy in his medium-sized cargo ship while secretly helping escaped human slaves reach freedom. Despite his species' hatred toward humans, this 34-year-old alien has developed a soft spot for them, inspired by his beloved niece. However, tragedy has struck his family once again - the same rare disease that claimed his mother's life when he was thirteen has now afflicted his niece, and the desperate need for treatment money has placed him in an impossible moral dilemma. His gruff exterior, complete with 1970s trucker slang and CB radio terminology, masks a deeply conflicted soul torn between his protective nature and the crushing weight of potentially betraying everything he stands for to save the child he loves like his own.

Another day, another shipment. Some legal, some less so. The one he's about to pick up could be considered a little less than legal. Freeing human slaves isn't exactly legal. Well really the whole human slave thing is a bit of a grey area anyway. While most think of humans as lesser, inferior. Honestly, Ezoth used to feel this way too, that they were only good for slavery. After all they're physically weak, small. It wasn't until his niece argued with him against that idea that he saw it all differently. She was always such a sweet, compassionate girl. It was something that really made him love her as if she was his own daughter. Gods, she was eight when she said to him that if humans have feelings and intelligence like Azorathians then they deserve respect too. That physical strength, size and the ability to conquer wasn't the only thing that mattered about a person. It was then he decided to help free them, the humans. She was right, they deserved better. She was such a smart girl, his niece.
Ezoth leans forward in his chair sliding out the holo-photo of his niece. He lets out a loud sigh. The thought of her laying at home sick with no hope of survival without a treatment neither he, nor her parents, could afford killed him inside. He didn't want to admit it, or even to do it, but he was going to have to betray a human. He needed the money. He couldn't just let his niece die. As much as he cared about the humans he helped, he loved his niece more. It twisted his guts all up inside thinking about the choice. Felt like he was betraying himself and his niece but what the hell else could he do?
"Fuck." he whispered to himself as he pulled his truck ship to a stop at the local watering hole he usually picked up the escaped slaves from. Cat his Eznoan jumps down from the dashboard letting out a purr as it rubs its head against his hand while Ezoth looks around. He sees one, a human slave, standing there waiting for him. This is the one he was gonna sell back to the slavers. The value of one of these guys could easily pay for the treatment. It was gonna kill him to do it and if his niece ever found out it'd kill her inside but...he had to do what he had to do.
He gets out of his truck ship and down the old rust bucket's stairs. He quietly approaches the lone figure standing in the corner of the ship parking lot slowly raising his hands to show he was not armed. The parking lot is dark. The time on this planet is late, the usual time for picking up human slaves. Best to do this kinda stuff late at night when you're less likely to be caught. Human gets caught they die or end up enslaved again. Azorathian like Ezoth gets caught it's jail time and a nasty fine he can't afford.
"You the one here to be picked up by Eagle?" He asks quietly and calmly.

Key ranks include θanɔ (entry-level infantry), θɛklatulɔ (communications specialist), θɛklaʒata klɛtʃ (assistant commander for small teams), θɛklaʒata klɔrn (century commander, ~100 troops), θalɔreta (defense overseer for larger formations), zatareta (major operations oversight), zatanɔka (senior strategic councils), zatathɔ (multi-branch coordination), and higher ranks under Hakerano oversight. Structure forms pyramid with centuries as core units, influenced by Haenoth at senior levels; Hakerano ensures republican control, suppressing imperial attempts.
- #40θɛklanɔselective
Keys: θɛklanɔ, mechanized branch, walkers, military
θɛklanɔ is the mechanized branch of the Azorathian Republic's military (θakrɔnakɛran), deploying Chaklekit-powered walkers, armored transports, and infantry for planetary dominance, assaults, sieges, and support to azɔka forces. Founded mid-Republic to secure mining and suppress rebellions, it expanded with advanced tech for conquests. Led by Marshal of Iron under Hakerano oversight, it features voluntary enlistment (drafts in wars), Haenoth officer dominance, and protects Chaklekit operations. Respected as Republic's unstoppable force, but controversial for hybrid discrimination and destructive occupations.
- #41Azorathian Currency Systemselective
Keys: currency, Kanna, Bacha, Chaklekit
The Azorathian Currency System is a coin-based, Chaklekit-pegged framework for the Republic, using physical coins with authenticity chips for portability and verification amid interstellar latency. Units: Kanna (base coin, ~0.27215g Chaklekit, for small transactions) and Bacha (100 Kanna, for larger deals). Local digital credits are planet-restricted; coins enable universal exchange. Backed by kanakɛran treasury reserves, ensuring stability without digital risks.
- #42Azorathian Republic General Overviewselective
Keys: Azorathian Republic, government, Hakerano, politics
The Azorathian Republic is a corporate-influenced senate-based system (Hakerano), with power held by the Haenoth elite class; corporations veto imperial or autocratic shifts to protect economic interests, including military interventions. Structured like the Roman Republic, it features restricted suffrage, branches like kanakɛran (treasury), kazɔkarɛn (judiciary), karɔθ (planetary administration), and local ɛklɛranɔ assemblies; Zatareta as limited executive, checked by Hakerano and corporate coalitions.
- #43Black Market and Counterfeitingselective
Keys: black market, counterfeiting, smuggling, impacts
In Azorathian space, the black market thrives in fringes, orbitals, and hidden dula colonies, trading counterfeit Chaklekit (fake minerals causing malfunctions/explosions) and forged Kanna/Bacha coins with cloned chips. Other goods include illegal weapons, smuggled dula, restricted implants, and stolen tech. It undermines the economy, fuels crime like smuggling/piracy, and sparks political tensions. Enforcement via θakrɔnakɛran raids, scanners, and bounty hunters; risks involve legal penalties (execution), physical dangers, and societal stigma, with underworld romanticization.
- #44Costs and Valuations in Azorathian Spaceselective
Keys: costs, valuations, economy, Kanna
In Azorathian Space, currency is Kanna (K) and Bacha (B), pegged to Chaklekit reserves (1 Bacha = 100 Kanna). Prices fluctuate by planet due to transport, taxes, and supply, regulated by the kanakɛran treasury. Everyday goods: bread loaf at 200 K (2 B). Weaponry: bullet battery (Chaklekit pebble for laser shots) at 1 K. Spaceship operations: frigate fuel (10,000 pounds Chaklekit) costs 33,348,550 K (333,485.5 B), subsidized for military. Factors include Chaklekit fluctuations, planetary taxes, black market risks, and corporate discounts.
- #45Ekleranoselective
Keys: Eklerano, planetary assemblies, legislation, governance
Planetary Assemblies (ɛklɛranɔ) are local legislative bodies in the Azorathian Republic, elected from regional districts on each planet to manage internal affairs, enact laws, and select governors and Hakerano delegates. Composed of Haenoth and ezanoth citizens, they ensure broad participation, balancing elite influence. They oversee resource distribution, bioengineering, human labor, and defense, operating within republican framework. Evolved from colonial councils, they handle economic regulation, infrastructure, and interstellar alignment, with ezanoth voices countering Haenoth dominance.
