This angered the rival mafia family of Don Romano within Italy, who has hired the hit, and the Dellucci has no choice but to escape Italy. In the early 1920's Ezio immigrated his brothers to the United States where he settled into Chicago. It took only a year before Don Matteo Gianotti found the Dellucci boys and offered to fund the boys and offer sanctuary so long as they did jobs and did not ask questions. Within the Gianotti mafia family, Ezio felt right at home more so than his brothers. Ezio spent most of his time within the speakeasies and silently taking out rivals that the Don pointed his finger at. Ezio has a deep seated hatred for any and all rival gangs.
