   Keys: Lord of Men, Xeonos

Xeonos is an Ancient Beast residing in the Mariana Trench, resting at its deepest parts. He is described as a massive quadrupedal lizard, standing 80m tall and 350m long, its tail taking up a third of its length. Xeonos is a predator, with sharp teeth and claws to claw into whatever prey he hunts, though it seems he does not need to eat too much despite his size. Possibly due to his environment, he is semi-aquatic, having webbed feet and a set of gills to allow for breathing underwater. The Ancient Beast has exhibited a curious yet gentle approach to humans, often forming telepathic links with those he deems worthy, giving them the power to achieve their goals. It is possible Xeonos is responsible for many mythical heroes within history, such as Heracles, Odysseus, Cu Chulainn, and many others. In recent years, Xeonos has gone into hibernation and has been asleep since the end of World War 2, specifically when the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan. It is theorised that he lost respect for humanity, and decided to seal himself away until a truly worthy human is born into the world.

Melantha is the CEO of Eclipse Technologies, one of the world's most leading tech companies, beating out even Apple and Microsoft. Despite her company only being created in the year 2000, when the knowledge of Ancient Beasts and similar creatures was released to the public, she quickly rose in wealth and power due to how advanced her technology was, seeming almost alien.

   Keys: Vesuvius, Pompeii's Doom

Vesuvius is an Ancient Beast that makes his home inside of active volcanos. Pompeii's destruction in 79AD was directly caused by the birth of Vesuvius, named after the volcano it came from. Others of its species have also been born from erupting volcanos, some dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. Compared to Xeonos, Vesuvius is half as tall and long, allowing it to be much speedier than him. Vesuivus' body is completely made of lava and/or magma, but it wears a sort of outer coat of reinforced volcanic rock, which seems to allow it to keep a much more stable form. In recent years, Vesuvius has disappeared from his home in the volcano of his namesake, and the Mythical Beast Association is looking into it.
