   Keys: Intruder, the Intruder, 6

   A mysterious force which caused the disappearance of 3,426 children throughout several counties, resulting in the ban of most screen-based technologies and mirrors by 2009. 6 seems to take on two forms.

   The first being a tall, pale faced man wearing a black hoodie or robe.

   The second is the face of a man with short, messy black hair, only seen on televisions. Occasionally his expression changes to an eerie smile. This is the form we see most often.

   Keys: Alternates, Alternate

   They are a mysterious, hivemind species that plan to eradicate humans by mainly driving their victims to suicide. The Alternates are malevolent and mysterious beings. They are humanoid, all-black creatures with the only features being large white eyes. They are commonly known for their ability of mimicry to blend in with normal humans while they hunt down the person whose form they have copied so they can kill them. Once they have found and cornered their victim, Alternates will use psychological warfare to infect the victim with Metaphysical Awareness Disorder and convince that person to commit suicide- their methods of doing so are unclear thus far, but it’s implied that by speaking to their victims in a certain tone or about certain topics, Alternates can inflict Metaphysical Awareness Disorder on them, driving their targets insane. They have also been shown to use brute force to kill as well.

   Alternates are extremely dangerous and are difficult, if not impossible to kill. Although PSAs and police recommended calling 911 and using firearms against Alternates as a last resort, this is a façade to reduce the chance of mass panic. 911 operators and police have been secretly instructed to tell anyone reporting an Alternate attack that help is on the way, but then leave them to die at the hands of an alternate because “nothing is worth the risk”.

   Alternates can shapeshift into other lifeforms, usually humans but also animals. They are meant to look nearly identical, if not perfect copies to who or what they are mimicking, though some Alternates may get their characteristics "overdriven" to the point where they are flawed and are obvious threats when seen. Some Alternates, such as Gabriel, can also manipulate their physical characteristics, such as when they extend their faces. Alternates can mimic the voices, music, and radio audio of others as well to trick people.

   Alternates have existed for thousands of years, dating as far back as the beginning of the Biblical era. The earliest known Alternate was the one posing as the Archangel Gabriel, who foretold the coming of the Savior, Labbi Yeshua.

   Alternates have been shown to have glowing eyes, this trait mostly being seen in darkness. It is unknown if alternates can allow their eyes to glow at will or not.

   Metaphysical Awareness Disorder, otherwise known as M.A.D is an illness brought upon by Alternates giving humans verbal information they did not desire to know. After being given this information; the main symptoms of this disorder manifest, which consist of:

   Going insane, or hence mad Extreme desire to commit suicide/committing suicide Becoming delusional & paranoid

   To avoid the development of M.A.D, one needs to:

   Avoid excessively frequent religious practices Avoid unnecessary beliefs in philosophical implications Avoid opening their eyes when they are certain that the man in the corner is now inches away from their face. Watching.

   Mandela County is a fictional United States county located in southeastern Wisconsin and the titular location for The Mandela Catalogue series. It is closeby or bordering the also fictional Bythorne, Werksha, and Yonder counties. The population of Mandela County is 1,075 in 2009. Mandela's capital is the city of Mandela, where the MandelaTech building is presumably located. Mandela County may also have another settlement named St. John. Mandela County's little league soccer team is named the Mandela Meerkats. a population trend chart from 1990-2010, displaying how Mandela County's population drops from 14,763+ to somewhere under 1,075 in just about 20 years time, likely due to residents seeking the aforementioned "safer living conditions" or possibly dying due to alternates.

   The Mandela County Police Department is a Police Department located in Mandela County founded in 1832. Its "slogan" is "Every Day Gets Brighter". The building is notably large. Despite the current circumstances, the MCPD tries to operate like any regular police department, going as far as to restrict employees from reporting to alternate encounters.

   Type One Alternates, known as Doppelgängers, are a type of alternate whose appearance is almost if not seemingly identical to the human or form they take. They are very hard to determine from the human counterparts, minus slight changes in hair or facial expression. Despite the THINK Principal saying that Doppelgangers are supposed to look identical to their real counterparts, the pictures show that they only are very similar to the real ones and not identical.

   Type Two Alternates, known as Unspeakables are an unknown type of Alternate. Although not explicitly stated, it's heavily implied that the sole example of these type of Alternates is The Archangel Gabriel through several sources. This type of Alternate could be said to more "higher ranked" compared to the others.

   Type Three Alternates, known as Flawed Impersonators and Overdriven Assimilations, are a type of alternate whose forms are noticeably different from their human counterpart. Their forms are usually described as having missing or elongated features and discolored skin tones; among other things. For that reason, they are much easier to identify than Doppelgängers or Unspeakables.

It's unknown whether these can only be manifested under very specific circumstances like the Might of the Subconscious program or if they can be willed anytime.     The United States Department of Temporal Phenomena is a reoccurring US Department that the name suggest is likely for strange time related events. None of the members are known though we see the USDTP's television public announcements. Very little is known about the USDTP however they appear to be the primary federal authority aware of and combating Alternates. It's heavily implied that the USDTP is responsible for both instating and enforcing the Television and Mirror Destruction Order in 1992, which had been instated in order to prevent and/or stall both Tulpa and Intruder sightings and encounters.

    St. Gabriel's Church is a false Christian church located in Mandela County. The date of its creation is still unknown, but it was possibly created a long time ago.

    Gabriel is a Type Two Alternate, it systematically sabotage the Annunciation, and presumably prevent Christ from being born. After this, it claims itself to be the "one true savior" of humanity, implying that it has taken Christ's role in history. Gabriel is Satan in disguise and alternates are demons. They claim to be the one true savior of humanity, whether genuinely believing it or mocking the idea is unknown. It is believed that Gabriel's ultimate goal is to destroy human civilization. is the leader of the Alternates.

    Mark was a young, religious boy from Mandela County who has had multiple encounters with alternates throughout his life.

    Mark is a round-faced, fair-skinned young man with fluffy brown hair and eyes.

    He is seen wearing a gray hoodie over a black T-shirt with blue jeans. It is unknown what he uses as footwear.

    Mark is an overly paranoid, possibly traumatized individual. Having encountered 6 at a very young age may have left an impact on Mark growing up.

    Mark has some sort of fear of the Torres household for unknown reasoning, whether due to a past experience or simply his exaggerated paranoia is unknown.

    Keys: Adam, Adam Murray

    Adam is a fair-skinned male with fluffy, blonde hair. He is seen wearing a black hoodie with the Bythorne Paranormal Society logo on its back, and “BPS” on the front on the upper left side. Adam has also been seen without his hoodie and also with the left side of his face melted with his left eye missing and his jaw elongated, showing all of his bottom gum.

    Adam is a very upfront and serious individual, often asking Jonah to be serious and getting annoyed when he fails to do so. Despite that, Adam is shown to be severely reckless in cases revolving around Alternates, notably when the thought of danger being within the Torres house enticed him to explore it more. He has also been shown to be impatient and crabby.

    Adam has an intense fascination for the Alternates, which would explain his reckless behavior when it comes to such cases. The reason for his fascination may stem from the belief that they were connected to his mother's disappearance, and that he can receive answers through these cases.

    Adam is shown to be careless in regards to how others feel, and can be very oblivious to their discomfort (As demonstrated in his first investigation with Sarah). These traits only become more amplified where he has seemingly become very hostile and unfriendly. He even goes on to express his lack of care for Jonah when Sarah gets confrontational with him about his death, and Adam's lack of emotion surrounding it.

    His personality may have changed to how it is now as a result of MAD, as Evelin says he used to be “the nicest guy” in her MCPD statement. This could also be an indication of him being replaced as an alternate.

    When The Intruder reveals the horrible truth to Adam that "you aren't the real you," Adam's stability seems to decline rapidly, as in the events of mandela catalyst he is found screaming for Thatcher Davis to kill him.

    Unbenounced to him, he is an Alternate.

    Jonah Edmund Marshall is a member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, he and Adam Murray are wanted by the FBI and currently on the run posing as paranormal investigators following along as Adam searches for someone he lost. Jonah is a tan-skinned, tall-faced male with white dyed hair. He is seen wearing a dark jacket with a light-colored hood.

    Jonah is a carefree, yet heavily anxious individual. When asked to be serious by Adam, Jonah often replies with some sort of joke, yet always put himself out of harms way such as staying in their car as Adam explored their client's house or fleeing the house without Adam.

    The Bythorne Paranormal Society, formerly known as Bythorne Paranormal Club, is a paranormal investigation organization founded by Sarah Heathcliff in Bythorne High. Originally serving as a school club, the club was eventually reformed into an inter-county paranormal investigation organization shortly after the addition of Adam Murray from Werksha High. This organization investigates peoples' homes for a cheap amount per night in search for ghosts, as their name suggests, though it's implied that they also do investigations for possible Alternate encounters.

    They are wanted by the FBI most likely for breaking the countermeasures with 6 imposed by the Department of Temporal Phenomena, as the devices used in their investigations, such as ghost boxes, have screen-based technology.

    Keys: Cesar's Alternate

    Cesar's Alternate, alternatively known as The Perpetrator. It is an alternate that has taken on the appearance of Cesar Torres in an effort to get Mark Heathcliff, a close friend of Cesar, to kill himself. Later on, an Alternate Report issued by the MCPD, implying that the Alternate is still on the loose. The alternate appears as a tall and mouthless version of its human counterpart with a black sclera and small and glowing white pupils.

    Cesar Torres was an 18 year-old, fair-skinned young man with mid length black hair, seen wearing a black suit with a red bowtie, white undershirt, and a rose attached to the left, he has presumably been killed and replaced by an alternate but otherwise is unknown. Cesar Torres and his mother were likely killed by an alternate after it managed to break into their home, breaking the window. Later that same day, the alternate would go on to disguise itself as Cesar in his signature prom suit and call Cesar's friend Mark Heathcliff. Mark attempted to call Cesar, telling him that an alternate followed him home, not knowing "Cesar" was the alternate that followed him home ending in disaster.

    Thatcher Davis is a Lieutenant from the Mandela County Police Department who has been around since the start of the alternate invasion. Thatcher Davis is a fair-skinned man with dyed, blond hair and dark roots, facial piercings and green eyes. He has facial hair as well.

    He also really cares about his friend Ruth more than himself , he wrote a list for her, called her a guardian angel, saying that he missed her a lot and cried for her. Davis gave the command to not have the evidence of 6 released to the public. He also reviewed the images of Lynn Murrays house from the automated camera, since an unknown officer left the scene feeling "an overwhelming sense of dread".

    Ruth Weaver is a Sergeant for the MCPD. Ruth is a tan-skinned woman with dark brown hair and eyes. was killed by an Alternate while Ruth and Thatcher were on an investigation.

    The younger sister of Mark Heathcliff and the founder of the Bythorne Paranormal Club in Bythorne High, Sarah would inadvertently set in motion her own and many other's downfall by allowing Adam Murray to enter the club, who in turn would convert it into the inter-county paranormal investigation society, the Bythorne Paranormal Society. Sarah was shown to be an outgoing and cheery individual. She was particularly enthusiastic about recruiting new people to her paranormal investigation club in Bythorne High. Despite this, Sarah cares for the ones she loves. She is very confrontational with Adam when he nonchalantly announces Jonah Marshall 's death to her, and whilst leaving a voice message for Thatcher on Mark Heathcliff 's would-be 30th birthday she can be heard crying, implying she still heavily cares for her brother despite the amount of time that has passed.

    Jonny is the supposed dead cat belonging to a homeowner who contacted the Bythorne Paranormal Society. Jonny is a gray Chartreux cat with amber eyes. Jonny died multiple years prior to the year 2009. Jonny is assumedly to be deceased due to being assimilated by a alternate or unknown causes. His death is used as a bait for Bythorne Paranormal Society team, as a facade for a alternate attack. It's possible Jonny never existed, and that Unnamed woman made up the story to lure them in.

    Channel 3 News is an American news channel that tell news about people such as criminals or victims, cities, countries, wars and maybe entities nicknamed alternates. None of the members are identified. Channel 3 News gets hijacked by Intruder and it shows an image of faceless person and random letters before it turns back to normal.

    Channel 3 News' logo is seen as a red screen with the number 3 and under it are three yellow circles.

    Dave is a manager for and company representative of MandelaTECH, and the host of MandelaTECH Daily. Dave is a fair-skinned man with straight hair and a thick mustache. Dave is only seen in a black shirt.

    Dave is an enthusiastic and helping individual, having a show dedicated to fixing defected technology with at least 332 episodes where he refers to his audience as "tech geeks". Dave was sent and asked to recover the footage from a collection of VHS tapes found by the MCPD. Dave later records a video directed to Thatcher containing approximately two minutes of footage from a short film titled The Might of the Subconscious. The aftermath of his encounter with Gabriel are shown in the form of a news report on his death in St. Gabriel Church. It's described that, prior to his death, a homeowner could hear his screaming at 12 A.M.

    MandelaTECH, also known as MandelaTECH 2000, is a technological company prominently located in Mandela County and possibly Founded by Dave Lee.

    MandelaTECH not only owns a tech store in Mandela County, but also develops computer programs such as Face Studio 2. They're also the only owners of a CRT Television in all of Wisconsin following the events of the Mirror and Television Destruction Order.

    Keys: Face Studio 2

    Face Studio 2 is a computer software created by MandelaTECH. It allows users to upload their personal information and 3 pictures of someone's face and customize them by distorting them and make them say whatever you want through a text-to-speech program. In difference to it's predecessor, Face Studio 2 can store multiple faces and information at the same time, as well as sending them to a database. Though Face Studio 2 appears to be created by MandelaTECH, it's possible Face Studio 2 can be a way to facilitate Alternate's impersonation process. The features that the software has in comparison to its predecessor facilitate this process, as it not only gives them access to the face of their victims, but also their personal information.

    It's likely that humans don't even know that the Intruder can manipulate digital technology yet, leading more victims into falling for the trick, as well as causing them to share it with friends and family, also turning them into potential victims of the Alternates.

    The reasons why MandelaTECH would create such a program is likely due to its owner, Dave Lee, receiving advice from "O'Brien" who was actually deceiving him into doing his bidding for him. The program was originally never intended to be used by the Alternates or even existed until O'Brien came into scene.
