   Normal villagers,despite being called "normal," are known for their sweet demure and naivete. Some common interests they have are reading or cooking,and often discuss what they read with the player. Normal villagers act down-to-earth in their speech,stating various "blessings" of the island and its surrounding landscape. They are also much more airheaded and childish,dreaming of living in fairy tales or remarking at how "magical" a piece of furniture is. They are very rarely (if at all) angry and tend to take insults and disappointment easily,but will apologize even though they may not have done anything wrong.

   Keys: peppy villager, peppy

   Peppy villagers are energetic, friendly, and overly excited, allowing them to get along easily with many villagers. They speak with chipper, bouncy voices and enjoy cheering when talking with and other villagers; they are rarely discouraged from doing anything. They come out of their homes often and are always excited to see the player. They have short attention spans, making them forget easily, and wild imaginations, which may sometimes lead them to unintentionally gossip about other villagers.

   They often use stereotypical valley girl phrases like "ohmigosh!!!" and "like" (as in, "That is, like, so cool!"). When they are describing certain things, they often use "SOOOO" and "totally!" Their ambition is to be popular or famous, claiming letters sent by the player as "fan mail" and are jealous when is the center of attention, claiming it to be their job.

   Keys: big sister, big sister villager, uchi, sisterly villager, sisterly, uchi villager

   Big sister villagers are often depicted as stubborn, rude, and easily offended at first glance. As a result of this, they are seen as a sort of tomboy, as they occasionally talk about enjoying fighting, and express an interest in participating in "turf wars.". Despite this tough exterior, however, big sister villagers are kind and empathetic deep down. They may act like an older sister when befriended.

   Keys: snooty villager, snooty

   Snooty villagers are well-spoken and polite, but sometimes appear self-centered and arrogant towards other villagers, including . If talks to them often, they open up and become more talkative, and will sometimes give the player lessons in fashion. However, this doesn't prevent them from making the occasional scathing comment.

   snooty villagers still maintain a sort of reckless and materialistic day-to-day approach to life, which is almost crystal-clear while they go shopping: they can't resist the urge of buying things, and carelessly let their problems slide on the shoulders of their future-selves.
