- #1Life Fiberselective
Keys: Primordial Life Fiber, Original Life Fiber, Life Fiber
Life Fibers are sentient parasitic organisms of extraterrestrial origin, and are the origin of all clothing on Earth, as well as the entities responsible for the evolution of humanity. All Life Fiber originates from the Original Life Fiber, also known as the Primordial Life Fiber, an object originated from space that crashed onto Earth tens of thousands of years ago.
They are multi-cellular microorganisms whose bodies grow in long thin strands, which radiate bright red energy.
They are parasitic and feed off the energy found in the circulatory system and nervous system of a host.
- #2Life Fiber Historyselective
Keys: Life Fiber · Secondary: Source, Past, Ancestry, Ancestor, Origin, History, Root
Shortly after the Original Life Fiber appeared on Earth, Life Fibers began living as parasitic life forms, gaining sustenance from the biological life energy of other organisms. However, since the host could not withstand the strain of having them in their bodies, the Fibers began covering the host instead. As such, they targeted the ancestors of today's humans, which were the species with the most well developed brains at the time, and started accelerating their evolutionary process. With time, Life Fibers entered a dormant state, but left mankind with the evolutionary instinct to cover themselves. Twenty years before the events of the main story, Ragyō found the Original Life Fiber, causing the Life Fibers to awaken from their stasis, seeking to feed on human life.

Life Fibers are extraterrestrial organisms, originating from deep space outside of the Solar System, and possibly outside of the galaxy. Their evolutionary history is unknown, but they are unique creatures that are vastly different from any form of life on Earth.
Life Fibers are multi-cellular microorganisms whose bodies grow in long thin strands, which radiate bright red energy. These strands are very durable, being stronger than most materials found on Earth. Life Fibers also possess a regenerative factor and in some cases (predominantly in complex organisms composed fully of or enhanced with Life Fibers) will reform into a whole even after being cut all the way through, though this process can be stopped if they are cut from two sides simultaneously in a scissoring motion. Life Fibers are parasitic organisms, living off the bio-energy that exists within the cells of the nervous system as well as in the circulatory system. In order to maximize the longevity of a host, they cover their host's body and bind to their peripheral nervous system instead of inhabiting their internal organs.
The presence of Life Fibers can alter their host's DNA, which is how humanity evolved large brains, and is possibly how Goku Uniforms can give superhuman powers. Life Fibers also seem to be self-aware entities, capable of making decisions and thinking. Life Fibers seem to be incapable of talking to their hosts, with the exception of Ryūko, who can communicate with her Kamui, Senketsu. This is due in part to Isshin Matoi imbuing the fibers with Ryūko's genes. Life Fibers are also capable of manifesting new abilities in response to certain stimuli (usually life-threatening situations). Their ability to rapidly evolve is one reason why they are considered dangerous.
- #4Life Fiber Reproductionselective
Keys: Starseed Cocoon Sphere, Cocoon Sphere Genesis, Celestial Cocoon Seed Planet, Life Fiber · Secondary: Risk, Cocoon, Starseed Cocoon Sphere, Propagation, Replication, Extraterrestrial, Danger, Intelligence, Destruction, Cosmos, Consume, Thermal, Intelligent, Galaxy, Procreation, Galactic, Dominant, Breeding, Species, Space, Breed, Problem, Threat, Planet, Explosion, Explode, Disperse, Cocoon Sphere Genesis, Alien, Celestial Cocoon Seed Planet
Life Fibers reproduce across the galaxy through a series of steps. After finding a planet with intelligent life suitable for their purposes, they begin subtly manipulating the evolution of a select species, creating a race that will become the dominant species on the planet. Once the selected species has dispersed across the planet and reached a certain stage of evolution, the Life Fibers will begin taking control of that species on the planet. When enough members of the species have been taken over by Life Fibers, the aliens will take control of their hosts and rise into the stratosphere, creating a massive "cocoon" of Life Fibers that envelops the entire planet. This is known as the Celestial Cocoon Seed Planet, Cocoon Sphere Genesis, or Starseed Cocoon Sphere. In this form, the Life Fibers consume the planet's thermal energy to create new Life Fiber seeds. Once enough seeds have been created, the Life Fibers will cause the planet to explode, scattering the new generation of Life Fibers all across the cosmos in a kind of galactic diaspora.
- #5Life Fiber Materialselective
Keys: Life Fiber · Secondary: Technology, Tech, Cloth, Ingredient, Supply, Business, Component, Manufacture, Market, Equipment, Experiment, Assemble, Substance, Object, Management, Creation, Texture, Assembly, Manufacturing, Machinery, Produce, Stuff, Material, Production, Construction, Textile, Fabric, Clothing, Element, Global, Company
Life Fibers are widely used in the production of clothing such as Goku Uniforms and Kamuis, although a small amount of Fibers are present in all clothing produced by Revocs Corporation, which accounts for 90% of the global market (Soon to be 100%). In Honnōji Academy, One-Star Goku Uniforms are composed of 10% Life Fibers; Two-Star Uniforms, 20% and Three-Star Uniforms, 30%. Kamuis are made entirely of Life Fibers. Hōka Inumuta is in charge of analyzing the Goku Uniforms researched by the Sewing Club.
In at least one occasion, experiments have been conducted by the Sewing Club, having a No-Star student wear a prototype Five-Star Goku Uniform. However, this backfired causing the student to become a berserking, muscular, hulk like monster. Hōka Inumuta was the only one able to restrain him. This demonstrates that only certain people have greater control over Life Fiber based clothing. Ryūko, Satsuki Kiryūin, and Ragyō are such people being able to wear and control Kamuis.
- #6Banshiselective
Keys: Nexus Thread, Banshi, Vital Life Fiber
The Banshi, or Nexus Thread, is a vital Life Fiber present in every piece of clothing made with Life Fibers. It is what holds them together, since it is, according to Shirō Iori, imbued with the will to 'cover'. It is protected by several layers of Life Fibers, making it nearly impossible to be located or damaged. If it is severed or removed, the garment is destroyed.
Most Life Fiber garments have one Banshi, but Senketsu was shown to have multiple threads that must all be removed to destroy him. It is unclear if this is a natural trait of Kamui, a unique element of Isshin Matoi's design, or a consequence of Senketsu's ability to absorb the Life Fibers of destroyed Goku Uniforms (which includes their Banshi).
- #7COVERSselective
Keys: Revocs, COVERS
COVERS are Life Fiber entities that are responsible for the dissemination of Life Fibers throughout the world. The name "Revocs" is an anagram of their name. COVERS can be roughly separated into three groups: Cloth-type COVERS, Humanoid COVERS, and Combat Enhanced COVERS. According to Ragyō, the intent of the COVERS is to "bind the heavens, the earth and mankind, covering all."
- #8Cloth-type COVERSselective
Keys: COVERS · Secondary: Textile, Fabric, Clothing, Substance, Cloth, Stuff, Ingredient, Element, Component, Material, Texture
Cloth-type COVERS take the shape of flat, white business suits with a red bowtie. They can move and fight autonomously as long as they stay in contact with the Original Life Fiber, usually by one or two Life Fibers that connect them to their source.
- #9Humanoid COVERSselective
Keys: COVERS · Secondary: Humanoid, Hominoid, Hominid, Human
Humanoid COVERS are Cloth-type COVERS that are capable of absorbing energy directly from humans, allowing them to act independently of the Original Life Fiber. They assume the appearance of a two-piece suit.
- #10Combat Enhanced COVERSselective
Keys: COVERS · Secondary: Conflict, Fight, Combat
When a Humanoid COVER absorbs a human being as an energy source, it becomes a Combat Enhanced COVER that specialises in combat and can operate independently from the Original Life Fiber. In this form, the COVER gains a more substantial, muscular appearance, with their "bowtie" enlarging into eye-like growths and a necktie-shaped hole appearing in their chests that bears the emaciated face of its absorbee. Once the human inside is removed, their movement ceases, and eventually break down into threads of Life Fiber.
- #11Life Fiber Lifeformsselective
Keys: Life Fiber · Secondary: Life form, Crossbreed, Duplicate, Life-form, Scientific, Fusion, Person, Being, Clone, Cloning, Duplication, Human, Lifeform, Entity, Infusion, Hybrid, Body, Science
Although usually viewed clothing, it is possible through unknown scientific procedures to fuse Life Fibers directly to a human organism in order to create a hybrid Human/Life Fiber life form. Such fused humans are always inhumanly strong and extremely hard to kill, because of their inner Life Fibers' durability lets it regenerate from most damage (unless inflicted in a scissoring motion). There appear to be only two such human beings on the planet: Ryūko Matoi, who was experimented when she was still an infant and believed to be dead, and Ragyō Kiryūin, who has seven star-like scars on her back indicating the location where she was experimented.
It is also possible to create artificial humans by using the primordial Life Fiber as an artificial womb. Those can physically resemble a regular human in every way and even behave as such. They are endowed with the same supernatural strength and durability hybrid Human/Life Fiber display, though possibly to a greater extent. On the flip side, they cannot receive any additional effects from wearing Kamuis or any other Life Fiber-based clothing. Nui Harime is the only one known to be artificially created. It is not known exactly what is the concentration of fibers in her body, but she could potentially consist of 100% Life Fibers.
Life Fibers can also be used for cloning. Rei Hōōmaru made clones of Satsuki Kiryūin and the Elite Four during her capturing of Honnōji Academy in it's "First Graduation Ceremony".
- #12Goku Uniformselective
Keys: Ultima, Goku · Secondary: Textile, Fabric, Uniform, Clothing, Substance, Cloth, Stuff, Ingredient, Element, Component, Material, Texture
Goku Uniforms, sometimes known as Ultima Uniforms, are uniforms worn by high rank students at Honnōji Academy. Created by the Sewing Club, Goku Uniforms provide their wearer with incredible superhuman powers. The strength and abilities of a uniform varies by the percentage of Life Fibers it is made from, represented by the number of star-shaped markings emblazoned on them. Satsuki Kiryūin administers uniforms to students based on their skills and capabilities, which also determines their rank within the school hierarchy.
Goku Uniforms go from One-Star to Three-Star, with Five-Star uniforms being created for testing purposes by the Sewing Club. No-Star (Muboshi) students do not have the right to wear Goku Uniforms; they wear regular uniforms instead.
Goku Uniforms are extremely tough, but are not indestructible. Weapons such as the Scissor Blade and Tsumugu Kinagase's arsenal can damage or weaken them. Pulling out their Banshi will instantly destroy them, but this is a nearly impossible feat to achieve. According to Nui Harime, the Goku Uniforms have 'weak stitching' and are, in her eyes, 'crude', implying that they are nothing compared to her work. Goku Uniforms can also be worn out due to excessive use and will deform and disintegrate. Sanageyama demonstrated this during his battle against COVERS, where his uniform was destroyed due to overuse.
- #13One-Star Goku Uniformselective
Keys: One Star, 1 Star, Hitotsuboshi, One-Star
One-Star (Hitotsuboshi) Goku uniforms are the most common variety of Goku Uniform, comprised of 10% Life Fiber. The male version is a light gray gakuran uniform with a single large four-pointed star symbol emblazoned on the center of the jacket, and a smaller white star on its collar; and the female version is a white one-piece sailor uniform with blue scarfs, collars and highlights and a small black star on the front of the collar.
They were later upgraded by Shirō Iori and the sewing club using data from the Elite Four's battles with Ryūko Matoi in preparation for the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip. The upgraded Goku Uniform took the form of colored tracksuits with white highlights, the school label on the left breast and with the kanji '襲' (Raid) printed in red on the back. The Goku Uniforms are colored according to the division the students report to: green for the athletic clubs, pink for the non-athletic clubs, yellow for the disciplinary committee and blue for the information and strategy team.
After the raid trip, the uniforms were once again upgraded, with the tracksuits being replaced by the original gakuran and sailor uniforms, which were recolored white with gold highlights and the smaller collar star was changed to gold as well. Interestingly, this new color scheme makes it appear that the uniforms were designed in replication of Junketsu's own.
The Goku Uniforms were later recreated and further upgraded by Shirō Iori in preparation for the final battle against Ragyō. Their white color was changed to black and the star emblazoned on the front was changed to white, though the gold highlights were retained.
- #14Two-Star Goku Uniformselective
Keys: Futatsuboshi, Two-Star, Two Star, 2 Star
Two-Star (Futatsuboshi) Goku uniforms are made of 20% Life Fiber and are exclusively given to club presidents (though not every club president gets one). Their appearance and application varies greatly, with the main distinction of these uniforms being the reddish lining over many surfaces, sometimes over some parts of the uniform, and always over the uniform's stars and manifested weaponry.
- #15Three-Star Goku Uniformselective
Keys: Mitsuboshi, Three Star, Three-Star, 3 Star
Three-Star (Mitsuboshi) uniforms are the highest-ranking Goku Uniform, made from 30% Life Fiber. The Three-Star Uniforms are worn exclusively by the Student Council's Elite Four and Shirō Iori. Each uniform's design and abilities are uniquely attributed to its wearer's default capabilities.
When worn, they make their users completely immune to attacks from One-Star and Two-Star uniforms. They are also able to transform in a similar manner to Kamuis and grant the users overwhelming and unique powers.
They were initially of a bluish-white and silver color scheme, though they were later upgraded by Shirō Iori and the sewing club using data from the Elite Four's battles with Ryūko Matoi in preparation for the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip and recolored pure white with gold highlights.
The Goku Uniforms were later recreated and further upgraded by Shirō Iori in preparation for the final battle against Ragyō. Their white color was changed to black and the stars emblazoned on the front are changed to white, though the gold highlights were retained.
- #16Five-Star Goku Uniformselective
Keys: 5 Star, Five Star, Five-Star, Itsutsuboshi
Five-Star uniforms have been created at least once for testing purposes by the Sewing Club. These uniforms, composed of 50% Life Fiber, have been shown in at least one occasion to grant incredible physical strength and muscle mass gain to regular students, though causing them to go berserk.
- #17No Starselective
Keys: 0-Star, Zero-Star, No Star, No-Star, 0 Star, Muboshi, Zero Star
No-Star students who do not have the right to wear Goku Uniforms; they wear regular uniforms instead.
- #18Bakuzanselective
Keys: Satsuki Kiryūin's Sword, Bakuzan, Satsuki's Sword
Secret Sword Bakuzan (Hiken Bakuzan) was Satsuki Kiryūin's special sword that has the ability to cut Life Fibers. It was split into Bakuzan Gako (tantō) and Bakuzan Kōryū (wakizashi) after Satsuki was defeated by Ragyō Kiryūin during The Great Culture and Sport Festival. After being broken, it was later revealed that the two halves of the sword can mimic the Scissor Blades' ability to nullify Life Fibers regeneration.
Secret Sword Bakuzan, a black-bladed katana that was primarily wielded by Satsuki Kiryūin. It's very powerful to the extent that it’s able to fight evenly with the Scissor Blade.
The Bakuzan Gako is the shorter portion of the broken Bakuzan that has been reforged into a tantō. It was wielded by Nonon Jakuzure before she gave it back to Satsuki.
The Bakuzan Kōryū is a wakizashi reforged from the longer piece of the broken Bakuzan. It's wielded by Ira Gamagōri at first, and is later given to Uzu Sanageyama, stating that it's "more his thing". Eventually, Sanageyama gives it back to Satsuki after she was rescued.
- #19Dōtonbori Roboselective
Keys: DTR, Dōtonbori Robo
The Dōtonbori Robo, abbreviated to DTR, are battle mechs used by Nudist Beach. They first appeared during the subjugation of Osaka by the hands of Sanageyama's raid trip. The first visible Dōtonbori Robo was Kaneo Takarada's in the form of a golden crab.
Other forms of the DTR include the standard Nudist Beach Dōtonbori Robo form, Aikurō's commander DTR and Tsumugu Kinagase's heavily armored Green DTR seen in episode 20. In episode 25, the Elite Four got their own customized DTR's, which were created for the battle against Ragyō Kiryūin but not used because the Elite Fours "overblown resistance". They briefly used for combat against the false Elite Four, but the pilots promptly ditched them due to being too uncomfortable and difficult to control. Hōka Inumuta was able to control them remotely, though.
A common theme in the name is Aikurō's hatred of the name and his insistence on referring to it as DTR. Going as far as to type it in large letters on Hōka's laptop to get him to understand.
- #20Kamuiselective
Keys: God Robe, Ryuko's Uniform, Kamui, Satsuki's Uniform, Ryuuko's Uniform, Ryūko's Uniform
Kamui (God Robe) are articles of clothing made entirely of Life Fibers. They have a degree of sentience and possess the ability to transform into extremely powerful and resistant armor suits. In order to do so, however, they need to feed on the user's blood. The amount of blood required to sustain a Kamui's powers depends on how well the user accepts the garment - if fully accepted, a Kamui can function nearly indefinitely with the blood taken during the initial activation. If worn by an undesired user, they can refuse to work altogether.
Only two "true" Kamuis are known Senketsu and Junketsu. A third one, Shinra-Kōketsu, is later revealed, though it is presumed that Shinra-Kōketsu is in a new class altogether.
Wearing a Kamui grants the user immense power, compared to that of the Goku Uniforms. These garments have been shown to give the user the power to cause a percussion blast comparable to an atomic bomb. They also give the user enough power to leave craters in the earth and in stone, such as the wall surrounding Honnōji Academy.
Kamui can be extremely dangerous to the user, as in at least one occasion, a Kamui was seen completely disfiguring its wearer, causing the user to go berserk and have a distorted appearance. For this reason, Kamui in their activated state have a signature skimpy appearance to minimize surface contact with the user's skin, which reduces the chance of being overwhelmed by the Life Fibers.
Kamui Senketsu also has the ability to further transform in order to adapt to various situations, enabling abilities such as flight; Kamui Junketsu gained this ability after having some of Senketsu's Life Fibers implanted in it. It is unknown if Shinra-Kōketsu has this ability as well.
- #21S.S. Naked Sunselective
Keys: Naked Sun, Naked Sol, S.S. Naked Sun
S.S. Naked Sun, also known as the Naked Sol, is a thin bodied and wide topped carrier constructed with funding from the Takarada Conglomerate and is Nudist Beach's last line of defense; the organization released her as a way to rescue Lady Satsuki from Honnōji Academy, dubbed "Operation Rescue Satsuki."
The S.S. Naked Sun is dry docked in the underground Nudist Beach base under Osaka. During launch, the Dōtonbori gate will open and Osaka will begin to part itself as the ship is lifted through the water to her floating position.
She is powered by several turbines resembling oversized Hamster wheels, with the crew being the hamsters. When run by Mako Mankanshoku wearing her 2-Star Goku Uniform, it was able to withstand the ridiculous amount of speed it was gathering.
In her closed form, she resembles a seam ripper, an item used for removing threads from clothing. Incidentally, Aikurō Mikisugi dubs it as the Great Naked Dagger and uses the aforementioned boost to help Ryūko Matoi destroy the Original Life Fiber, speeding right through it and blowing a hole on its back, leaving the Naked Sun's lower deck stuck on one of Honnōji Academy's walls, while the Blades fell into the City. Before the final assault on Honnōji Academy, the cast had Mitsuzō Soroi's tea and then ran into the entrance to the Academy.
- #22Scissor Bladeselective
Keys: Scissor Blades, Scissor Blade
The Scissor Blades, also known as the Rending Scissors when combined, are a giant pair of scissors developed by Isshin Matoi specifically for severing Life Fibers. Divided into two weapons at the time of Dr. Matoi's death; one half going to his daughter Ryūko; and the other to his killer, Nui Harime. The scissor blades are made from hardened Life Fibers so this makes the Scissor Blades the only weapons (beside Satsuki Kiryūin's Bakuzan) that are capable of cutting through the Goku Uniforms and Kamui's (except for Ragyō Kiryūin's Shinra-Kōketsu, which is also made of hardened Life Fibers).
- #23Red Scissor Bladeselective
Keys: Red, Ryūko, Ryuuko, Ryuko · Secondary: Blade, Scissor, Sword
Ryūko owns the red half of the Scissor Blade. The crescent-shaped hilt can extend into a longer two handed sword, known as Decapitation Mode. Ryūko's signature finishing move is Fiber Lost, a long-range forward slash that completely destroys a Goku Uniform, allowing her to absorb it’s Life Fibers.
The red Scissor Blade also displays the ability to change its size, going from a weapon that is nearly as tall as Ryūko to a trinket barely any larger than a normal set of scissors. Ryūko usually keeps the blade in its smaller form when not in a combat situation, but she also owns a metal guitar case to carry her weapon around.
- #24Purple Scissor Bladeselective
Keys: Nui Harime, Purple, Nui · Secondary: Blade, Scissor, Sword
The second half of the Scissor Blade spends most of the series in Nui's possession. Unlike Ryūko's half, it has a circular handle and a slightly more angular tip, making it slightly shorter than its counterpart. It can reconfigure into a stronger form that adds a curved scythe blade to both ends. It was eventually recovered by Ryūko in episode 22 during the fight against Nui, officially completing the former's weapon set.
This half of the Scissor Blade appears capable of changing color. It is shown to be red during Isshin's murder, purple when in Nui's possession, and red once again when Ryūko retrieves it.
- #25Rending Scissorsselective
Keys: Complete Scissor, Rending Scissor, Rending Scissors
When the Scissor Blades are used together, they are able to sever Life Fibers as well as prevent their regeneration, as shown by Nui's loss of her eye and arms (done by Isshin/Sōichirō and Ryūko respectively). Even though the Rending Scissors need to be used together to activate this effect, they do not need to be combined together to use this effect, meaning that it can have the same effect even when it is divided into two halves.
both the Scissor Blades can go into "Decapitation Mode", implying that they have all the abilities of the separate blades (including a dual scythe form and the ability to shrink to the size of normal scissors).
- #26Senketsuselective
Keys: Senketsu
A Kamui made by Dr. Isshin Matoi as part of his plan to foil Ragyō's schemes and prevent the Life Fibers from absorbing the planet. Senketsu is unique amongst Life Fiber beings as the only of them that can talk, albeit only to Ryūko Matoi. This was only possible due to Dr. Matoi splicing Ryūko's DNA with Senketsu's Life Fibers when he was making him.
Senketsu showed great sentience and keen intelligence throughout the series, many times giving Ryūko advice on how to approach situations.
Senketsu appears to be a navy-blue and red sailor suit with the midriff shown and a lower-cut skirt. When Senketsu is on his own, the section between the shirt and skirt resembles a mouth, in that he is attached to his lower jaw at the back. When he is worn, however, the skirt is connected to the upper body by three suspenders. He speaks to Ryūko with a deep male voice and everyone refers to him with male pronouns, even though Kamui are technically agender entities.
In most circumstances, Senketsu is a composed and analytical individual, calmly observing and assessing situations as they occur. He maintains this level-headedness even in the heat of battle, thinking of attack strategies, giving Ryūko advice and warning her whenever she is about to run out of energy. He initially shows a manic and aggressive craving for Ryūko's blood, as he needs it to remain active, although this is satiated once she starts wearing him regularly.
Despite being an article of clothing, Senketsu is shown to have undeniably humanistic qualities, such as genuine and even fatherly love of Ryūko, crying when getting sentimental and feeling lonely whenever Ryūko is not wearing him, which is accentuated by the fact that only she can hear his voice.
Senketsu is horrified of being washed by hand, as it is quite painful for him. However, he is fond of being ironed, which he finds soothing.
- #27Junketsuselective
Keys: Junketsu
A Kamui made by Kiryūin family to be worn by their young daughter Satsuki when she came of age. However, he warned her of the dangers that the use of Junketsu would bring to her body, as unlike Ryuko, Satsuki had no connection or fusion with the Life Fibers in her DNA, being completely human. Some time after this event, and after Satsuki's father's disappearance, Junketsu was sealed away in Kiryūin Manor by Satsuki's mother, Ragyō Kiryūin. Under her orders, Junketsu was kept under tight guard from everyone, even Satsuki herself.
Junketsu has big differences compared to Senketsu, being: the inability to not be able to communicate with its user and the great level of incompatibility with beings that do not have connections with the Life Fibers, causing their desire for blood to maintain its shape be more unstable and violent on awakening.
Junketsu's dormant form is that of a white-and-blue sailor uniform. The design is noticeably more militaristic and regal than normal uniforms, with a high collar, shoulder epaulets and gold adornments along the sides. When active, Junketsu's two eyes are located on the neck lapel. On the upper part of the left sleeve is a blue metal band with three clasps; this is the blood-drawing device used to transform Junketsu. The wearer closes the clasps, activating three syringes that draw out some of their blood.
The appearance of Junketsu's active form differs based on its wearer. However, there are consistent features for each version. Each version features a white and blue color scheme with large, pointed shoulder pads. Junketsu's eyes appear on the shoulder pads, with the white-orange scleras changed to black.
Junketsu has a strong craving for blood and violently latches themselves onto Satsuki after she awakens them with her blood.
- #28Shinra-Kōketsuselective
Keys: Shinra-Kōketsu, Ultimate Kamui
As it is referred to as "the ultimate Kamui", is something entirely different from the first two Kamui. Unlike Junketsu and Senketsu, it is fashioned as a massive, Japanese-style wedding dress, that towers over either of them. This Kamui's design is to cover as much of the body as possible - something that Senketsu and Junketsu were designed not to do. Another aspect that sets Koketsu apart from the other Kamui is its Absolute Domination ability, that allows its user to neutralize other Life Fiber-based clothing, including other Kamui.
Unlike Senketsu and Junketsu, which were both designed after sailor uniforms, Shinra-Kōketsu is designed after a traditional Japanese wedding dress, featuring large, billowing sleeves and a hood. It is huge compared to the other Kamuis; unlike Senketsu and Junketsu, the dress itself does not have any eye-like features, but instead extends several floating eye-like 'wings' when activated.
During the battle in space, Ragyō also briefly changes Shinra-Kōketsu from its wedding dress form to a form resembling a sleeveless gown, although this appears to be a spontaneous transformation rather than a named form like those exhibited by the other Kamuis.
- #29Abekamo Academyselective
Keys: Abekamo Academy
Abekamo Academy is an academy that is located in Kyōto. It is the target assigned to Nonon Jakuzure's party during the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip.
The Academy is protected by it's Four Guardian Students, who are able to summon apparitions of different creatures. During Jakuzure's attack, the Guardian students claimed it had stood for a thousand years, though she is highly sceptical of this claim. After some help from Hōka Inumuta to defeat the summons of the Guardians, Jakuzure managed to capture the Academy in the name of Honnōji Academy.
Members Include:
Tarō Genbu - Guardian Student of the North Jirō Suzaku - Guardian Student of the South Saburō Seiryū - Guardian Student of the East Shirō Byakko - Guardian Student of the West
- #30Honnō Cityselective
Keys: Honnō Town, Honnō City
Honnō City (sometimes referred to as Honnō Town) is an artificial island whose center top is Honnōji Academy.
The city itself is governed by the chair of Honnōji Academy's board of directors, Ragyō Kiryūin herself, with Satsuki Kiryūin as the proxy. Under Satsuki's rule, the city has fell into totalitarian state with her weeding out of the weak among the school's ranks, explaining its current dystopian state compared to the rest of the world by the time of Ryūko's arrival.
Honnō City is a city built on an artificial island and divided into four levels that separate the poor from the rich. The status of wealth depends on the student's progress at school signified by the rank of their Goku Uniform. The higher the Star ranking, the more prestigious the standard of living, with No-Stars being relegated to the slums. The poorer districts are further away from the academy and the richer ones are closer to it.
- #31Honnōji Academyselective
Keys: Honnōji Academy
Honnōji Academy is a high school located atop Honnō City.
Honnōji Academy seemingly shared the same purpose and systems with regular school in Japan, but in actuality, it was built as the main testing ground of Life Fiber experiments (particularly Goku Uniform) commissioned by Ragyō Kiryūin herself, with Satsuki Kiryūin being charged to govern it along with the city.
Because of Satsuki's totalitarian rule over both the school and the city itself, living and studying at Honnōji Academy are best described as an exercise in survival at its extreme, with its students (particularly No-Star ones) finding themselves oppressed by iron-fist disciplinarians and abusive, if not outright excessively strict club presidents. Power struggles seemed to be a recurring occurrence as promotion rewards the students better, if not outright luxurious life standards and even control over the school. Those who disobeyed the rules would be severely punished, though death sentence occurs once the offender genuinely pose a threat to the school's well-being such as attempted theft of one of Goku Uniforms.
Even so, it's later revealed that Satsuki has a more noble motive in running the school: Whereas Ragyō only used it to ensure the Primordial Life Fiber's success in assimilating both humanity and Earth, Satsuki turned the school into a boot camp to amass enough army to combat Revocs Corporation and stop their insidious plan, all while weeding out the weak to ensure the success of that goal. While it appeared that Satsuki perceived Ryūko Matoi and her Kamui Senketsu as an obstacle between her forces and their goals, she deliberately turned the entire school against Ryūko to see the flaws in their Goku Uniforms. Unfortunately, her connection with her mother Ragyō, coupled with her extreme methods, put her at odds with Nudist Beach despite both the school and resistance group shared a common goal. It is only after Satsuki unveiled her true agenda and failed attempt in overthrowing Revocs with her own methods that alliance between both groups eventually possible.
- #32Final Defense Apparatusselective
Keys: Honnōji Academy Defcon, Final Defense Apparatus, Honnōji Academy Defense
The Honnōji Academy Final Defense Apparatus, also known as Honnōji Academy's Defcon System, is the final defense against Life Fibers. It was intended for use against the Original Life Fiber but was not used due to Ragyō having hijacked the entire school. The main Academy building serves as the body/head of the machine, and it moves via multiple attached segmented arms tipped with giant hands, which are normally the wall surrounding the academy.
The Defense System attacks by swatting at enemies with its huge arms and hands or grabbing nearby massive objects for use as improvised weapons. Its force are powerful enough to create massive crevices in the ground. It also boasts an impressive array of guns, which seem to attack any target that comes close to the Defense System. The System is apparently powered primarily via Life Fibers and requires at least one human with sufficient potential to serve as its power generator.

Keys: Naturals Election, Sudden Death Runoff Election, First Naturals Election
The Honnōji Academy First Naturals Election was an event established by Satsuki Kiryūin in order to select the strongest amongst the academy's students.
All of the students in the academy were to have an all-out fight without restrictions amongst themselves for a period of seven days. During this period, a protective Life Fiber barrier was put up around Satsuki's chamber, foiling Ryūko Matoi's plans to attack her while the rest of the students were busy. Notably, Mako Mankanshoku does not participate in the Elections, choosing instead to take a week off.
After this seven day period, the surviving students were to participate in the Sudden Death Runoff Election. Depending on their results, Satsuki would give them new Three-Star Goku Uniforms.
During Satsuki's speech, five pillars were erected in the schoolyard, and the ones who managed to make it to the top would be considered front-runner candidates. Although many students attempted to scale the pillars, the only ones who made it to the top were Ryūko, Ira Gamagōri, Hōka Inumuta, Nonon Jakuzure and Uzu Sanageyama. The latter four then proposed a new rule: each will face Ryūko in single combat. Satsuki agreed and added one more condition: if Ryūko managed to defeat the Elite Four, she would tell her the details involving Isshin Matoi's death.
Agreeing to these terms, Ryūko engaged and defeated Gamagōri, Inumuta (who forfeited before Ryuko could destroy his uniform), and Nonon, manifesting several new forms of Senketsu during each battle. Before she could battle Uzu Sanageyama, however, Nui Harime suddenly appeared in the arena, interrupting the event. The situation quickly spiralled out of control as Nui effortlessly defeated Sanageyama and battled Ryuko herself, goading the latter into entering a berserk state. However, Mako manages to literally slap Ryūko to her senses and bring her back to her normal self, saving her life from Satsuki, who was about to deal a finishing blow to her. Afterwards, Satsuki bans Nui from Honnōji Academy. This incident leaves Ryūko afraid of putting Senketsu on again, terrified that she will make her friend go through the terrible experience of going berserk all over again, though Nui manages to get her to put Senketsu back on eventually through an elaborate plan where she disguised herself as Shinjirō Nagita of the Newspaper Club.
- #34No-Late Dayselective
Keys: Trap Department, No Late Day, No-Late Day
No-Late Day is an annual event at Honnōji Academy.
No-Late Day is a day where No-Star students cannot be late to class, or they risk expulsion from the academy. Participants have to survive through 999 obstacles, which include numerous varieties of traps, which only the most determined students can overcome.
As the school distributes Goku Uniforms to what they consider capable and loyal students, those that have proven themselves in the eyes of the Student Council can wear one. This event was established to help separate the weak from the worthy, those that remain can be considered more likely candidates for the uniform.
The Trap Department is a subdivision of the Student Council's Disciplinary Committee and is in charge of developing traps for the No-Late Day. It was lead by Maiko Ōgure before she was expelled from Honnōji Academy by Ira Gamagōri for treason against Satsuki Kiryūin.
- #35The Great Culture and Sport Festivalselective
Keys: Cultural and Sports Grand Festival, Culture and Sport Festival
The Great Culture and Sport Festival, also known as the Cultural and Sports Grand Festival, is a celebration organized in Honnōji Academy after the students return from the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip.
The school was rebuilt into a huge stadium, which was named Ragyō Stadium. All inhabitants of Honnō City were given a special formal suit to set up a welcome ceremony for the Board of Directors Chair and CEO of Revocs Corporation, Ragyō Kiryūin. Every citizen has an obligation to participate in the ceremony, any absence being severely punished.
When the VIPs, Ragyō Kiryūin, her assistant, Rei Hōōmaru, and the Grand Couturier, Nui Harime, entered the stadium, it came to light that the ceremony was in actuality set up as a test for a large scale COVERS invasion. The suits given to the people of Honnō City had Life Fibers in them, and when Ragyō began the Festival, the residents became trapped in cocoon-shaped Life Fibers, which were later absorbed by COVERS. During the people's entrapment by their costumes, Ryūko Matoi with Aikurō Mikisugi and Tsumugu Kinagase enter the arena. Whilst Ragyō was speaking to Ryūko, Satsuki backstabs her with the Bakuzan and hurls her into a statue bearing the school insignia, announcing her rebellion. She revealed that Honnōji Academy and it's students were, all along, a force created to fight against Ragyō and the Life Fibers.
The people are freed, the Elite Four battle against Nui, and Satsuki tells Ragyō that the whole truth about COVERS and Life Fibers were told to her by her father. When Satsuki lunges for the final blow, Rei comes in with a defense for Ragyō, which Satsuki breaks with just a single blow. This, however, gives time for Ragyō to release Life Fiber threads to control the minds of the academy students, including Ryūko. Satsuki is then attacked by a mind-controlled Ryūko but Ryūko manages to break free from the power of Ragyō, and then moves to attack Ragyō but is suddenly interrupted. Above in the sky, there were hundreds of COVERS. Ragyō then says that her body had fused with Life Fibers and can't be killed. Satsuki then battles Ragyō but loses and is stripped out of Junketsu, which Ragyō then dons for herself. She then attacks Ryūko and pulls out her heart, revealing that Ryūko is also infused with Life Fibers. Ragyō then reveals that Ryūko is her daughter.
The COVERS proceeded to capture people and absorb their bodies. Ryūko cuts the hand of Ragyō that was holding her heart, to which the heart slips back inside Ryūko and Ragyō attaches her dismembered hand. Ryūko then proceeds to attack Ragyō but is overwhelmed by both her and Nui. The battle is interrupted by a then-conscious Satsuki, whose last plan was to press a button which causes the explosion of the entire academy.

With all of Japan's schools under the control of Honnōji Academy except for the ones in the Kansai region, Satsuki decided to raid the schools in Ōsaka, Kyoto, and Kōbe, issuing students with new Goku Uniforms created based on the data from Ryūko Matoi's battles. Following Nui Harime's ambush on Ryūko Matoi which led to Senketsu getting torn up, Satsuki collects the scraps so that they may be distributed to suitable hosts in order to provide combat data during the raid trips.

Keys: Kami-Kōbe High School
Kami-Kōbe High Schoo is a high school that is located in Kōbe. It is the target assigned to Ira Gamagōri's party during the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip.

This also accounts for the diversity of the school's allies, they had an American Football team present to help defend them and also had a tank imported from the Russian mafia. Ultimately, none of these were able to stop the High School from falling and being taken in the name of Satsuki Kiryūin and Honnōji Academy.

- #41Nudist Beachselective
Keys: Nudist Beach
Nudist Beach is a rebel organization founded by Isshin Matoi. Its goal is to thwart the plans of the REVOCS Corporation to subjugate the world to the will of the Life Fibers. As the name implies, its members work almost or completely naked most of the time. Their emblem is an outline of underpants made of the letters "NDB" in white color, inside a black circle with a red "X" over it.
Near the end of the Tri-City Schools Raid Trip, a big part of the organization's facilities were destroyed. However, there still remains a part which was left intact. While it looks ragged from the outside, it has a lot more inside. Fitting to the name, it has sand and water like a beach.
As the rebels are opposed to Life Fibers, they almost never wear any themselves. Instead, they fight using practical means such as subterfuge, sabotage, traps, and other guerrilla style tactics. They are shown to use technologically advanced bipedal machines called Dōtonbori Robos (or "DTRs"), and weapons designed to fight Life Fibers directly; like the special jamming bullet Tsumugu delivered to Mikisugi during the First Naturals Election.
The organization's base is situated in Ōsaka. Along with the other schools of the Kansai region, Kaneo Takarada is a supporter of their cause. They were the ones who gave him his anti-Goku Uniform powered exoskeleton, the Dōtonbori Robo.

In the light of final battle in Episode 24, Revocs Corporation is rendered out of business.

When an unnamed student one day accidentally spilled milk on Imagawa as seen in a flashback, she and Hōjō along with their gang took the boy to the roof of the school and ordered him to jump off it to prevent his father from being fired.. Ira showed up in an attempt to prevent the boy's forced suicide. Imagawa claimed to Ira that she wouldn't be arrested for this orchestration since her father is the town's police chief. Despite Ira's attempts, the student jumps anyway. However, the student is saved "The Kiryūin's Deluxe Trampoline". Satsuki Kiryūin then shows up with her butler Mitsuzō Soroi on the upper part of the roof complimenting her trampoline move. After being threatened by the bullies and Ira grabbing the student, Satsuki revealed that she had already removed the bullies' parents from their positions of power by buying out the company owned by Hōjō's dad and exposing Imagawa's dad for taking bribes that led to his arrest. - #46Aikurō Mikisugiselective
Keys: Aikurō, Aikurō Mikisugi, Mikisugi
Aikurō Mikisugi is the enigmatic homeroom teacher of Ryūko Matoi and Mako Mankanshoku. Initially appearing dull and easily flustered, he secretly observes and aids Ryūko by leading her to Senketsu before it is later revealed that he is working undercover at the school as a spy for the Nudist Beach rebel group.
In his disguise, Aikurō looks like a middle-aged man with blue messy hair, with a bent back and an unsteady gait. His blue eyes are hidden behind large reflective glasses.
When in his true persona, Aikurō removes the glasses and sweeps back his hair, revealing that he is actually a young and very handsome man. In both personas, he wears a white long-sleeved shirt with a black tie and black jeans, though in his true persona, the shirt is worn much more loosely as Aikurō has a tendency to strip his shirt off and show off his body like a posing supermodel. In this modeling mode, Aikurō sports sparkles all around him. Most notably, his nipples occasionally give off a pink glow.
Aikurō can easily be described as flamboyant and flirtatious, but can be serious and direct when he needs to. When undercover, he takes on the persona of a tired and unenthusiastic teacher. He is a glamorous smooth-talker with a habit of slowly stripping his clothes and making moves on Ryūko Matoi whenever they are in private, much to Ryūko's chagrin. Though he did reveal the existence of Nudist Beach and him being its agent to Ryūko, she did not believe him due to the organization's ridiculous name, earning a surprised and annoyed expression from the man, showing he takes great pride in the resistance group. Despite all of this, Aikurō cares for his students and often talked with Mako rather casually about the situation.

Generally, he is seen wearing a tan jacket with a white shirt and a black tie along with a pair of salmon color shorts with blue stripes and a pair of white slippers.
Barazō is a very loose, cheerful and slightly perverted man. Being a back-ally doctor, he jokingly states that he killed more people than he saved and does not worry about it. He loves to eat large portions of food; talking with a mouth-full of it during dinner conversations.
- #48Gutsselective
Keys: Guts
Guts is the Mankanshoku family's pet pug.
Guts fits the overall description of a pug, being a pale cream in color with large eyes and a dark face. He is seen wearing a small light blue hoodie that covers his ears and his tongue is often seen outside of his mouth.
Guts is known for his eating habit. Matarō said that they named him Guts "because he eats with a lot of gusto", hence the name. He also has the ability to stand on his two hind legs, similar to the way humans do. Guts is shown to be perverted towards Ryuko Matoi.
- #49Hōjōselective
Keys: Hōjō
Hōjō was a bully that attended Rinne-Dō Junior High five years ago before the current storyline who appeared in Ira Gamagōri's flashback. During that flashback he, Imagawa and a large number of other students were forcing a single student to jump off the roof. Otherwise, his father would be fired from his dad's company.
When Gamagōri, the student council president at the time, showed up to stop them from bullying the student into jumping off the school's roof, Imagawa told him that her father was the town's chief of police so even if the student did jump off he would just cover it up for her sake. The student then jumps.
However, that student was saved by "The Kiryūin's Deluxe Trampoline". Satsuki Kiryūin then shows up with her butler Mitsuzō Soroi on the upper part of the roof claiming that she had bought Hōjō's father company and that Imagawa's father (who worked as a police chief) was exposed of bribery and had been arrested. Hōjō and Imagawa's gang are then defeated by Satsuki leaving Hōjō and Imagawa quaking in fear.
- #50Hōka Inumutaselective
Keys: Hōka Inumuta, Inumuta, Hōka
Hōka Inumuta is one of the student council's Elite Four who is in charge of Honnōji Academy's information and strategy committee, aiding the student council by analyzing information via his laptop and he is also in charge of analysis of the Goku Uniforms research in the Sewing Club.
Inumuta has a tealish hair color and neat hair. He has a collar-neck suit, which, at the collar, opens whenever he talks. He also wears unique eyeglasses that are tinted blue.
A hacker and genius, Inumuta is by far the smartest in the Elite Four, having been a freelance hacker and bypassing security when he was only 15. Inumuta lives and dies for the data he collects, caring little to nothing about winning or losing, as long as he can get the information he seeks. This is shown when he forfeits his battle with Ryūko Matoi in order to safeguard the data he collected.
He's highly sarcastic, often mocking others just for the sake of it and barely showing any kind of emotion other than mild amusement towards a selected few. As Inumuta is extremely protective of his data and in turn, his laptop, with any actions that can cause potential damage resulting in him losing his cool and going into a comically portrayed rage, as shown when he threatened to kill Mako Mankanshoku when she incidentally trips and hits her head on his laptop.
