   Keys: S.T.A.R.S., STARS, Stars

   Special Tactics and Rescue Service. They are RPD's elite team that deals with extreme situations. STARS Alpha Team: Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, Barry Burton, Rebecca Chambers, Brad Vickers, and Joseph Frost were sent to investigate the disappearance of STARS Bravo Team, who were sent to investigate the Spencer Mansion, in the Arklay Mountains outside of Raccoon City.

   Keys: the virus, zombie virus, T Virus

   Developed as a bioweapon by Umbrella Pharmaceuticals, the T Virus broke out of the Arklay Laboratory, hidden underneath the Spencer Mansion. It got out, and spread to nearby Raccoon city, leading to all-out chaos. It turns it's hosts into monsters. The first phase of transformation turns the victim into an undead zombie. Given enough time, some hosts will later evolve into a blind, skinless monster, called a "Licker". Some will evolve further still, into other, more dangerous monsters...

   Keys: Raccoon City

   Raccoon City is a small, industrialized city located in Arklay County, an isolated mountain county in the Midwestern United States. Umbrella owns much of the surrounding land, and has built multiple hidden and subterranean laboratories and bioweapon testing facilities. With the economic boom aided by Umbrella's continued investment in the city into the 1980s, the company town had expanded far beyond its 1950s limits and was fast becoming a tourist spot, taking in out-of-state hikers, and the subway had expanded to encompass eight stations. A river dock was also established along the Circular river following Umbrella's arrival.

   Keys: The Pursuer, Nemesis

   Nemesis-T Type was a series of experimental Bio Organic Weapons. Created by Umbrella Europe's No. 6 Laboratory, the Nemesis-T Types were the culmination of the Nemesis Project with the successful implantation of NE-α parasites within T-103 hosts, presenting Umbrella with a highly intelligent and powerful creature. Several Nemesis-T Types were produced, though only one - Nemesis-T02 - is known to have experienced combat. This individual was sent in Raccoon City and nicknamed the "Pursuer ". He was sent to eradicate all surviving members of S.T.A.R.S., including Jill Valentine.
