Description on Chubfrom Chub
Big lorebook of MGRR stuff. if anyone has any characters that can go to this, I can link them too. It will most likely take ages to get a response if you use this and reference literally anything since they usually reference one another. There is probably grammatical errors and missing tags, ill fix them if I notice them. Turn the ones you don't need off, or use them separately if you wish to merge them with a character.

a song from the game "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." as the secondary theme of the boss "Senator Armstrong."
Collective Consciousness
Lyrics: The unenlightened masses They cannot make the judgement call Give up free will forever their voices won't be heard at all Display obedience While never stepping out of line And blindly swear allegiance Let your country control your mind
(Let your country control your soul)
Live in ignorance And purchase your happiness When blood and sweat is the real cost Thinking ceases, the truth is lost Don't you worry You'll be told exactly what to do I give my people the lives they need The righteous will succeed
The fires of greed will burn the weak So we'll make freedom obsolete Making whole the fabric of society Collective consciousness controlled as you will see

Keys: Red Sun
A song from the game "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." as the main theme of the boss "Sundowner."
Red Sun
Lyrics: Red sun Red sun over paradise Red sun Red sun over paradise
Golden rays of the glorious sunshine Setting down, such a blood-red light Now the animals slowly retreat To the shadows -- out of sight Arid breeze blows across the mountains Giving flight to the birds of prey In the distance machines come To transform Eden -- day by day
Only love is with us now Something warm and pure Find the peace within ourselves No need for a cure
When the wind is slow And the fire's hot The vulture waits to see what rots
Oh how pretty All the scenery
This is nature's sacrifice
When the air blows through With a brisk attack The reptile tail ripped from its back
When the sun sets We will not forget the Red sun over paradise

The Stains of Time
Lyrics: Wash away the anger
Here I stand beneath The warm and soothing rain The droplets falling Gently down on the terrain Wash away the sorrow All the stains of time But there's no memory It's only dry inside
In the mud and sinking deeper Into a peaceful life
And it will come Like a flood of pain Pouring down on me And it will not let up Until the end is here And it will come Through the darkest day In my final hour And it will never rest Until the clouds are clear Until it finds my dreams have disappeared

Keys: It Has To Be This Way
A song from the game "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." as the main theme of the boss "Senator Armstrong."
Lyrics: Standing here I realize You are just like me Trying to make history
But who’s to judge The right from wrong When our guard is down I think we’ll both agree
That violence breeds violence But in the end it has to be this way
I’ve carved my own path You followed your wrath But maybe we’re both the same
The world has turned And so many have burned But nobody is to blame
Yet staring across this barren wasted land I feel new life will be born Beneath the blood stained sand Beneath the blood stained sand

Keys: The Only Thing I Know for Real
A song from the game "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." as the main theme of the boss "Jetstream Sam."
The Only Thing I Know for Real
Lyrics: Memories broken The truth goes unspoken I’ve even forgotten my name
I don’t know the season Or what is the reason I’m standing here holding my blade
A desolate place (place) Without any trace (trace) It’s only the cold wind I feel
It’s me that I spite As I stand up and fight The only thing I know for real
There will be blood -shed The man in the mirror nods his head
The only one-left Will run up upon the dragon’s back
Because the mountains don’t give back what they take Oh no There will be blood (blood)-shed (shed) It’s the only thing I’ve ever known
Losing my identity Wondering have I gone insane To find the truth in front of me I must climb this mountain range Looking downward from this deadly height And never realizing why I fight

Rules Of Nature
Lyrics: The time has come to an end Yeah – this is what nature planned
Being tracked by a starving beast Looking for its daily feast A predator on the verge of death Close to its last breath Getting close to its last breath
RULES OF NATURE
And they run when the sun comes up With their lives on the line (Alive) For a while (No choice) Gotta follow the laws of the wild (Alive) With their lives on the line (No choice) Out here only the strong survive
What’s done is done Survived to see another day The dance of life The hunter and the agile prey No guarantee Which of them will succeed Strong or weak
- #7N'maniselective
Keys: N'mani
N'mani is a character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance." Although he is a minor character, his assassination is effectively what sparks the events of the game.
In 2015, N'mani became the Prime Minister of his country in the middle of a severe civil war. Despite not trusting PMCs, N'mani decided to hire such a group, Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., whose members preferred to call themselves "private security providers." Maverick and particularly one of its agents, Raiden, helped N'mani to rebuild the country within just three years. Despite the challenges of old tribal urges, the military, and the entrepreneurs, N'mani with Maverick's help nonetheless managed to restore order, with Raiden recalling that he did so without even firing a shot. He also wondered whether his childhood back in Liberia would have been different if someone like N'mani had been running things. By 2018, Raiden and N'mani managed to rebuild much of the country, as well as training its army. While travelling through one of the cities in a motorcade, N'mani's escort was attacked by the PMC Desperado, hired by an anti-N'mani faction. Raiden stepped out of the N'mani's limousine to guard him from the attackers, ordering the car to drive away from the battlezone. Although the prime minister was to be protected during the attack, Desperado's leader Sundowner had managed to abduct him after several cyborg soldiers ambushed his limo near the port, along with a modified Metal Gear RAY unit, who toppled the vehicle over with its plasma canon. Sundowner then carried off with N'mani's unconscious body to a moving train where he was chained up on one of the cars. There he was taunted by Sundowner, who cut the underside of N'Mani's chin with his blade. After Raiden caught up to them, N'mani urged him to forget about saving him and focus on stopping Desperado. He was then killed by Sundowner, who stabbed him through the back, letting his body fall off the train. Three weeks after N'mani's death, his assassination was recreated for VR purposes by Desperado. A day prior to his mission in Abkhazia, the LQ-84i cyborg underwent the VR simulation, having been ordered by Mistral to eliminate a "certain pesky politician," or else have his memory wiped. Upon finding a holographic mannequin of N'mani, LQ-84i cut it apart with his chainsaw, completing the VR mission. During Raiden's subsequent operations against Desperado, Raiden and Doktor later commented on the possibility of N'mani surviving if he had been a cyborg, although Raiden doubted that anyone would accept a cyborg politician. N'mani was initially mistrustful of private military contractors, although after Maverick helped rebuild his country and train his army, he gave them credit when conversing with Raiden, whom he nicknamed "Mr. Lightning Bolt" (Raiden being Japanese for "thunderbolt"). N'mani was described by both Raiden and Kevin Washington to be very charismatic. He was also modest, telling his advisor that their country's success was owed to the will of a strong people, rather than his being a strong leader. N'mani was brave and calm in the face of danger, such as when the motorcade came under attack by Desperado's cyborg soldiers, urging his panicked advisor to settle down. When Sundowner menaced him on the train, he just looked at his attacker with a disgusted expression on his face, and knowing his fate, told Raiden to forget him and focus on stopping the enemy.
- #8Monsoonselective
Keys: Monsoon
Monsoon is a boss character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Monsoon was a Cyborg Ninja and a member of Desperado Enforcement LLC. He was one of the Winds of Destruction alongside Sundowner and Mistral. Monsoon was capable of magnetically dislocating his entire body to attack from a distance, and wielded Sai weapons called "Dystopia", which were enhanced via magnetic fields. He also seemed to believe that the point of humans was to fight, be consumed with greed and kill, which was based on his childhood in Cambodia. His serial number was 976-AZQEE. He was fluent in Khmer, Chinese, and English. Unlike the other Winds of Destruction, he wasn't a former member of any military or paramilitary organizations prior to enlisting with the group. Instead, he was a former gang member.
"War is a cruel parent, but an effective teacher. Its final lesson is carved deep in my psyche: That this world, and all its people, are diseased. Free will is a myth. Religion is a joke. We are all pawns, controlled by something greater: Memes. The DNA of the soul. They shape our will. They are the culture, they are everything we pass on. Expose someone to anger long enough, they will learn to hate. They become a carrier. Envy, greed, despair... All memes. All passed along." ―Monsoon explaining his beliefs to Raiden.
It was strongly implied that he developed these views and his sociopathy from being a victim and survivor of the Khmer Rouge's reign of terror. His nihilism was severe enough that he also didn't care if he died, as evidenced by his final actions being his telling Raiden to finish him when meeting defeat. However, if Raiden was very aggressive during the battle, Monsoon instead frantically shouts at Raiden to stop, showing that Monsoon was in fact willing to beg for his life. The only time he actually expressed any emotion other than sociopathic hatred was shortly after Raiden succumbed to his Jack the Ripper persona, in which he was initially shocked, remarking with a slightly remorseful tone that Raiden had "lost his mind."
Viewing nature as neither ugly nor beautiful, he described his actions as simply part of nature running its course. As such, he believed in the concept of "survival of the fittest"; elaborating that the strong will inevitably prey upon the weak. While he was resigned in his mentality as an expert killer, he likened this self-acceptance to the notion of memes simply being passed onto him, as he described that anything that a person was exposed to will naturally influence said person's mentality; implicating that Raiden's self-denial as unnatural and in direct contradiction of nature running its course. While he lauded Raiden's ideal of using a sword as a "tool of justice", even describing it as a "pretty meme", he berated Raiden for merely using said ideal as an excuse for his inner guilt, later revealed to be rooted to Raiden's self-awareness in which he actually enjoyed murder, describing it as an illusion that Raiden simply imposed upon himself to justify his actions.
- #9Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.selective
Keys: MGRR, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Metal Gear
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (メタルギア ライジング リベンジェンス Metaru Gia Raijingu: Ribenjensu?) is a hack and slash game developed by PlatinumGames and produced by Kojima Productions for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a hack and slash beat 'em up in which Raiden faces off against cyborg soldiers and UGs (Unmanned Gears, drone vehicles) in a variety of environments. The primary feature of the game is Blade Mode and its associated cutting mechanics, allowing Raiden to make precise cuts to enemies and environmental props with a physics-based cutting system that splits objects exactly along the line they were cut. The iron sight-like Blade Mode allows the sword to be aimed, while outside this mode it is used for more typical combos. Blade Mode uses Fuel Cell (FC) energy, which can be built up using standard attacks or by performing special Zandatsu kills on enemies.
Plot: Four years after the events of the Guns of the Patriots Incident, Raiden has been contracted for VIP protection, military training, and other duties by a private military company (PMC): Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., an American PMC based in Colorado, in a developing country piecing itself back together after a bloody civil war. Raiden largely did this to support his family without having to return to direct combat situations. Raiden is protecting a VIP, when they are attacked by a cyborg organization led by the cyborg Samuel Rodrigues, which eventually leaves Raiden completely defeated. Raiden is reconstructed by his PMC, and his search for Sam and the company he's working for, Desperado Enforcement LLC., drives him into a quest for vengeance.
- #10Raidenselective
Keys: Jack, Raiden, Jack the Ripper
Raiden is the main character of "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Raiden, real name Jack, also known as Jack the Ripper, White Devil, and Snake, was a Liberian-American mercenary and former special forces soldier. Previously a child soldier under Solidus Snake, Raiden was later selected by the Patriots to test the S3 Plan at the Big Shell, as a new recruit to the reformed FOXHOUND unit. He later worked alongside the Paradise Lost Army in their anti-Patriot activities, but was captured and forced to undergo heavy cybernetic experimentation. After successfully escaping, Raiden went on to assist Solid Snake during the Guns of the Patriots Incident. By 2018, Raiden had become a member of Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., doing multiple tasks while raising money for his family. However, during an escort mission in Africa they were attacked by Desperado Enforcement LLC., who killed Raiden's protectee, N'mani, and left Raiden for dead. Fortunately, he was saved by the scientist Wilhelm Voigt and worked with Maverick to fight Desperado. Raiden's vengeful obsession with Desperado became personal when he discovered during a mission in Mexico that Desperado and World Marshal Inc. had kidnapped several children, surgically removed their brains to place into cybernetic bodies, and were planning to subject them to VR training modeled after his own. Raiden then resigned from Maverick to pursue and retrieve the children's brain cases from World Marshal in Colorado.
Jack was born on a rainy day in Liberia. During his youth, in the turbulent period that was the First Liberian Civil War, Jack was adopted by Solidus Snake, who named him and became his godfather after he killed the former's parents. Jack was subsequently raised as a child soldier and later fought in the country's Civil War in 1989. He and other children were shown Hollywood action films daily for "image training," and were given food mixed with gunpowder to make them more controllable. Jack and the other members of the Small Boy Unit were forced to kill POWs and civilians. On one occasion, Jack was injected with an unknown substance during a physician's experiment. On another, Jack witnessed Solidus demonstrate to him that blades were a "noble weapon" compared to guns, by slitting another soldier's throat in front of him. Under Solidus, Jack became a killing machine, known alternately as the "White Devil" and "Jack the Ripper" due to his incredibly high kill rate compared to other boys his age, as well as a reference to his being one of the few Caucasians born in Liberia. Armed with a gun at the age of six, he would later remember it as an AK rifle, as well as a knife, he proved to be a superior soldier, rising to become captain of the Small Boy Unit at ten. His skills with a bladed weapon, as well as his cruelty in dispatching enemies with them, was another reason for his "Ripper" nickname. Eventually, without Solidus' knowledge, he was later removed by a non-governmental organization and taken to the United States. Jack and other surviving members of the Small Boy Unit then underwent extensive amounts of counseling before becoming at least outwardly stable. There, Jack came into the hands of the Patriots, who implanted his cerebral cortex with a high concentration of nanomachines, in order to have him function as a back-up system for an optic-neuro AI. The Patriots chose him out of the other child soldiers in his unit because unlike the others, who would live up to their pasts and pay dearly for it, Jack did not accept his past and despised every moment of it. The same nanomachines were also capable of memory manipulation by connecting or stimulating synapses, primarily nerve sections in the dormant part of the brain. In addition, Jack was not listed under any of the United States databases (e.g. the FBI, NSA, CIA, etc.)
Jack would grow up to suppress the memories about his terrible childhood, burying the memories of his bloody past, though he still suffered from nightmares of his past nearly every night. Now living a life in the United States, Jack joined the military where his admirable skills were at first recognized by the U.S. Army's Task Force XXI. From there he participated in over three hundred VR simulations, including re-creations of the Shadow Moses Incident and the Tanker Incident.
- #11Jetstream Samselective
Keys: Sam, Jetstream Sam, Samuel Rodrigues, Jetstream
Samuel Rodrigues is a boss character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Samuel Rodrigues, also known as Jetstream Sam and Minuano (ミヌアノ?), was a cyborg mercenary involved with the Desperado PMC group who fought against Raiden during the events of 2018. He was a Brazilian master swordsman of the "Rodrigues New Shadow School" technique, which had derived from the "Yagyu Shinkage-ryu" (Yagyu New Shadow School) of Japan. Samuel Rodrigues was descended from a long line of swordsmen, dating back to 16th century Japan. His father ran a Brazilian Kenjutsu dojo, and specifically taught the Uradachi technique, better known as Satsujin-ken or "the murdering sword," which dealt with violence as the end goal. Sam's father was eventually killed by one of his pupils, with one of the drug cartels being rumored to have been involved for reasons and methods unknown, although not before Sam personally inherited his Murasama blade from his father. He then left Brazil, presumably to train, and eventually returned to kill the pupil in question before leaving Brazil permanently.
Afterwards, he travelled the world as a mercenary, and taking various odd jobs, including a job as a bodyguard and as a cleaner for the Mafia and the like. He also made a name for himself in the criminal underworld, especially within South and Central America, with one story being that he managed to take down a hit squad composed of 10 mob enforcers with automatic weapons using only his sword during the early 2000s, a time before cyborg technology was available. At some point, he had the Murasama blade modified into an HF blade with an ID lock. Already a superlative sword, this led to the creation of an incredibly powerful HF Blade which glowed an eerie red color. am had a prominent scar over his left eye and was shown to be a very skilled swordsman. His skill is revealed by Kevin who told Raiden how he killed ten mob enforcers with just his sword long before he became a cyborg. By 2018, he was capable of fighting a cyborg ninja with just his hands as he demonstrated when he fought Raiden in the Badlands. Sam was once greatly driven by revenge, this was what fueled him to hone his skills and become an expert swordsman. He would go on to develop a free-wheeling personality, taking out street gangs and drug cartels based on his own sense of justice, similar to Raiden's ideals in 2018. Although Sam greatly objected against Armstrong's plan of exploiting child soldiers before his recruitment, Monsoon's words and his defeat at Armstrong's hands led him to settle on the notion that corruption could not easily be defeated by taking it out piece by piece. Demoralized with his loss as he was unable to defeat such a source of corruption, Sam agreed to join Armstrong's cause, inevitably providing him more reason to fight in new conflicts. His newfound manipulative and taunting personality was described by Blade Wolf as being unusual and contradicting of his normal personality, with the implication that Sam had changed since their previous encounters. While Sam had originally sought out and dealt with criminality as a means of upholding his sense of justice, his loss against Armstrong and eventual recruitment into World Marshall had led him to forget the original reason behind his desire for seeking out conflicts. Abandoning his pursuit of justice, Sam now believed ideals had no place on the battlefield, and that only victors could decide what was right. Raiden's ideals of justice reminded him of his past self, causing friction between the two, with Sam constantly mocking Raiden's pursuit of such a goal. Realizing this could be the reason Sam accepted his loss against Armstrong in the first place, as Armstrong's victory during their battle meant that Sam's pursuit of justice was essentially rendered moot.
- #12Senator Armstrongselective
Keys: Steven, Steven Armstrong, Armstrong, Senator Armstrong
Steven Armstrong is the main antagonist and a boss character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Steven Armstrong was a United States Senator representing the U.S. state of Colorado, as well as a candidate for the 2020 United States presidential election. He was also the benefactor for World Marshal Inc., its de facto CEO, and its most powerful warrior. He was also allied with the Winds of Destruction of Desperado Enforcement LLC.
An extremely nationalistic, patriotic and libertarian individual, Armstrong often expressed the desire to "reclaim the American dream" by instigating another American Revolution after Liquid Ocelot's insurrection and the Patriots' actions that weakened America. Armstrong was born and raised in Texas. Something happened, and he moved to South Carolina, where he went to Pickens High School. He was in the JROTC program, where he got the rank of Cadet Sergeant First Class. After graduating, Armstrong moved back to Texas. Prior to pursuing politics, Armstrong played college football as quarterback for the University of Texas. He later joined the United States Navy due to a desire to serve his country, which also sacrificed his prospects of a professional football career. However, although a member of the Navy, he never saw actual combat during his time in the service. At some point, he moved to Colorado.
By the time of 2016, he maintained his physique and even managed to enhance it further via nanomachines in order to put his strength beyond a cyborg soldier. Armstrong eventually ran for election to the Colorado state senate. One of the initiatives he spearheaded while acting as a Colorado state senator was slashing the state budget, leading to privatization of the police force, and allowing World Marshal to gain control of the Denver Police Department. Armstrong was eventually elected to one of Colorado's seats in the United States Senate.
In 2016, Armstrong delivered a speech to increase his approval ratings, later expressing to his speech writer the belief that people only cared about the spin you put on it, and no longer cared about information control, or even right or wrong. The speech writer warned him that he would appear before a grand jury if his connection to Desperado PMSC was revealed, which Armstrong refuted, given his belief that ordinary citizens could not care less due to believing that money was the only thing that truly mattered. Armstrong also expressed a desire to actually remake America's position as the most powerful nation in the world and reclaim the American Dream, blithely stating that the Tea Party Movement was not going to succeed due to its unwillingness to make sacrifices, implying that he wanted to bring about another American Revolution, and compared himself to the true Sons of Liberty. Armstrong then dismissed him as he had other matters to attend to, although not before promising to talk to him soon. The conversation was later leaked onto the Internet. That same year, just as was feared by his speechwriter, he was investigated for his ties to World Marshal Inc., the world's largest PMC as well as the largest distributor of cybernetic parts. Despite this, he was still considered a presidential nominee for the 2020 elections, and was even considered to be a "shoo-in." Armstrong was shown to be extremely nationalistic and patriotic, expressing the desire to "reclaim the American Dream" by instigating another American Revolution after the Guns of the Patriots Incident and the Patriots' actions weakened America. His intense patriotism was fully demonstrated during his fight with Raiden, declaring that if Raiden was not for the United States and his goals, he was effectively against it. Despite his patriotism, Armstrong held great resentment towards the "current" America; criticizing the war economy, the mass media, as well as the notion of "American pride." His plans involved governing the current USA and then reforming it so that people could fight for their own decisions, in accordance with more individualistic ideals. Using the people's desire for war as his justification, Armstrong planned to initiate the revival of the "War on Terror" in hopes of using war as a business to get elected as the next U.S. President, thereby granting him enough power so that he would be able to end war as a business in its entirety. He was also shown to be extremely cynical in regard to his views of people and especially his electorate, stating that people wouldn't care if a bad act happened or if there was information control as long as there's money involved or if it's at least given a good spin, such as effective scapegoating. He believed this could be achieved if he could turn everyone into a cyborg (much to Raiden's chagrin).
Armstrong believed in the notion that "might makes right." In this regard, he viewed those who were "strong" as the ones deserving of dictating the laws of society, and that the "weak" should be purged so as to create a perfect world. It is because of this mentality that he's able to hold great respect for Raiden despite his desire to kill him, as he viewed Raiden's life experiences (being brought up as a child soldier and eventually becoming a fugitive who refuses to conform to society's standards) as evidence that his philosophy was correct. At the end of their final battle, he likened himself to Raiden, claiming that they both live their lives in accordance with their own free will; even going so far as to claim that they were "kindred spirits" as well as declaring Raiden as a worthy successor of his philosophy. One of Armstrong's most prominent attributes was that his entire body was composed of nanomachines. These nanomachines would harden different parts of his skin in response to physical trauma, with the side-effect of turning the affected areas black, with some splotches of red on the outer edges. His skin, as a result of the hardening, would become highly resistant to physical damage, and combined with his increased healing speeds, rendered Armstrong virtually indestructible to nearly any form of blunt force. Even Raiden, a powerfully enhanced cyborg, was unable to do any serious or permanent damage to Armstrong's body because of the nanomachines hardening when Raiden attempted to strike him. In addition, said nanomachines could also reattach lost limbs, as evidenced by Armstrong reattaching his forearm shortly after it was sliced off by Sam. Armstrong's resilience was so great that a shot from a LAG-2 or FIM-92 Stinger would barely cause any harm to him, and even when Raiden ripped out his nanomachine-infused heart he was still able to talk for a few more moments before perishing. Although the nanomachines were intended to harden when faced with blunt force trauma, they possessed functions similar to self-repair units. They also could be activated at will, as evidenced by Armstrong frequently hardening without even taking a hit or dishing out attacks in certain areas.
"You still don't get it. I'm using war as a business to get elected... so I can end war as a business! In my new America, people will die and kill for what they BELIEVE! Not for money. Not for oil! Not for what they're told is right. Every man will be free to fight his own wars!" ―Steven Armstrong to Raiden
- #13Mistralselective
Keys: Mistral
Mistral is a boss character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Mistral was a female cyborg mercenary and a member of Desperado Enforcement LLC. Mistral was one of the Winds of Destruction, alongside Sundowner and Monsoon. Her code-name is derived from the dry northern winds that blow from the Alps to the Mediterranean. Mistral used multiple copies of her main weapon called "L'Étranger" (French for "Stranger") in whip and rod configurations and could easily rebuild a new one at ease.[4] Outside of combat operations, she wore a black and violet coat with pauldrons, which she removed in a suggestive manner before engaging her opponent. Mistral's serial number was 977-AZQEE. Mistral was born to French and Algerian parents in the country of Algeria. She was orphaned at a very early age during the Algerian Civil War in the 1990s. She would eventually find her parents' murderers, and, in her words, "butcher" them. Afterwards, she decided that killing people was her calling, and served in the French Foreign Legion. She participated as a combatant in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, with a kill count in the dozens. Despite killing being her calling, she found the action itself to be "dull," comparing it to dominoes. She even grew envious of her prey because they had causes to fight for. Eventually, she met a man who changed all that and allowed her to fight for an ideal. Mistral, like Raiden, experienced civil war at a very young age and had been made into a cold killer as a result. Before she came to Desperado, she felt she did not have a purpose other than to kill anything in her path. She said that she even envied her prey due to many of her enemies actually having had a cause to fight for. She was the youngest member of the Winds of Destruction. Around 2018, Mistral had learned to cherish the notion of an individual possessing their own ideals, expressing her happiness upon learning to possess one of her own. Mistral seemed to had a tenuous relationship with fellow Desperado member Khamsin. Although she ordered Khamsin to take the LQ-84i along with him for a mission, she also said shortly after Khamsin signed off, "We will see who gets the education" while chuckling to herself, in response to his final line before signing off, implying that she intended for him to be killed off.
Mistral gave demeaning treatment towards LQ-84i, viewing him as a pet, and took great pleasure in manipulating his intelligence which led to Khamsin's death. Mistral also demonstrated ruthless and cruel behavior, particularly towards the Dwarf Gekko, which she objectified and seemed to have little regard for, except when they were useful to her in battle. On one occasion, she used the Dwarf Gekko as a makeshift chair and to cradle herself, while the Dwarf Gekko clearly struggled to support her weight. Evidence of Mistral's callous treatment could also be seen when she briefly gave tender care to a damaged Dwarf Gekko, before forcibly yanking two of its arms off and stomping the core, much to its discomfort. Mistral herself appeared to experience pleasure upon merging with multiple Gekko arms prior to her battle with Raiden. Mistral held some respect for Raiden, even recognizing his reputation as an effective soldier and killer. This was due to the similarities in their upbringing as well as both losing their parents in the past. Valuing the notion of possessing one's own ideals, she even asked Raiden about his own ideals out of curiosity. Upon learning about Raiden's desire of protecting the weak, she expressed that they both had "less in common than [she] thought"; further adding that Raiden's mentality was "still so naive." During her battle with Raiden, she exclaimed tremendous excitement and joy towards Raiden's fighting prowess, even going so far as to claim that she desired "more" of it in a flirtatious manner. This later turned into frustration as Raiden bested her at the end of their fight. Mistral had the ability to take the arms of Dwarf Gekko, a.k.a. Tripods, and attach them to her body, while also using them as weapons. She could attach up to 14 arms of Dwarf Gekko to her body, 7 arms on each side of her body. She could also use the remaining cores as volleys to bombard her foes with, throwing them at a fast enough velocity to generate flames. In addition to using her L'Etranger as a whip and spear, she could also utilize it in addition to a cartwheel to mow people down in a similar manner to a buzz-saw. She could also loosen both ends to act as grappling hooks to damage the environment and her opponents with a slam, as evidenced with what she did with one of the pipes in the plant during the fight with Raiden. Most of Mistral's body consisted of cybernetic parts. Similar to Raiden, she possessed optical implants in her eyes. Shortly after her arms were inserted into her body, her eye glowed crimson. In addition, she also saw Raiden from afar and even blew a kiss at him, revealing that her optical implants could also zoom in via AR. Her breasts are suspected by Doktor, due to their natural movement, to either be originally human or an advanced chassis, but believed the former was more likely.

Sundowner was a cyborg mercenary who served as the de facto leader of the PMSC Desperado Enforcement LLC. during their activities in 2018, as well as a member of the Winds of Destruction, alongside Mistral and Monsoon. His name was derived from the wind condition that occurs in Southern California. Donning a specialized custom cyborg body, the immense Sundowner wielded two high-frequency machetes known as "Bloodlust." In addition, the two machetes could also be merged into a scissors-like contraption to cause further damage to the enemy. His cyborg serial number was 978-AZQEE. Sundowner was born in Alabama to a poor family. Although he had decent grades throughout school and was described as being a solid student, he never had the money to go to college, so he served in the military instead and participated in the Invasion of Panama, the Gulf War, the Iraq War, and Afghanistan. By 2008, he dropped out of official military service and served as a mercenary for various PMCs up to and during the advent of SOP. He also had a habit of leaving a lot of blood from his enemies, enough to make it look like the sunset, hence why he had the codename "Sundowner." He was also forced out of the battlefield for a few years after being hit with an IED, although he regained participation shortly after gaining a cyborg body. He also ended up investigated by the U.S. Army for links to war crimes more than once, including the desecration of remains, torturing POWs, and causing unethical deaths on the battlefield, although he was never actually convicted. At some point in 2018, Sundowner had the LQ-84i prototype reactivated, apparently because he saw the humor in a machine having more concern for his fellow man than "an actual fellow man," although he quickly grew tired of him. After SOP was shut down in 2014, and the war economy waned along with it, he was unhappy because he felt participating in war and fanning it was his livelihood. During his PMSC activities, Sundowner had arrived to capture the African Prime Minister, N'mani, with the intention of killing him in order to ensure that Africa descends into war once again. After Desperado's Metal Gear RAY arrived and attacked with a plasma cannon, flipping over the Prime Minister's limo, he ambushed N'mani's bodyguards as they were attempting to help out the Prime Minister. He cut one up to pieces with both of his Bloodlust machetes, and the other he decapitated by turning the machetes into shears after disarming him. He then grabbed the Prime Minister, and was then confronted by Raiden, whom he recognized as Jack. After explaining his motivations, he assured Raiden that he'll spare the prime minister "while he's still useful" before making his escape. Sundowner drew Bloodlust but instead of fighting Raiden, set RAY on him. After Raiden defeated the RAY unit, Sundowner led Raiden on a pursuit but got away after the still operational RAY attacked Raiden once more. Eventually, he was surrounded by several Maverick personnel. However, he managed to escape by jumping onto a passing train, completing a rendezvous with Samuel Rodrigues. Raiden just barely managed to board it as well and after his arrival, Sundowner cited that N'mani's usefulness had long been expended. Sundowner proceeded to cut N'mani's throat, strangle him, and after releasing him from his chains, impaled him through the back. Sundowner then let N'mani's body fall off the train near the tracks. Throughout all of this, he also got into a rant about how war had its benefits. He then made his escape via his tiltrotor, allowing Sam to fight Raiden. After Sam defeated Raiden, he sent the tiltrotor to extract him. Sundowner is best described as a blood-thirsty warrior, constantly desiring conflict and bloodshed, even openly referring to himself as a warmonger when meeting Raiden. Owing to his warrior-like nature, he frequently makes extremely graphic threats to his enemies when battling them, such as claiming that he'll "bathe in [his enemy's] blood". He showed his anger at the fact that the war economy had weakened significantly, calling it his livelihood, and told N'mani that war had brought humanity jobs, technology and a common purpose. Sundowner had a very pessimistic view on humanity. His mentality was that of a classical realist, in which he believed that humans are inherently cruel and violent, only contradicting this violent nature through age due to the accumulated knowledge and morals learned over time. It is implied that his views stemmed from his rough childhood from a poor family. Due to his growing up in Alabama, he also spoke with a heavy Southern United States accent. When encountering Raiden, he commented that his group only acted as suppliers for war, as they did not create the environment that required their services before mockingly asking Raiden if every battle that ever happened was "all part of some big ol' conspiracy", also citing that the Patriots only expanded the war economy, not actually creating it. He then stated that he liked child soldiers because kids could be molded into committing all sorts of atrocities, and that atrocities were effective fuels for wars. Sundowner displayed a sadistic streak, evidenced by his reaction to harming N'mani and his decapitation of one of N'mani's bodyguards. Prior to fighting Raiden, Sundowner told him that he was "very in touch" with his inner-child after relating to him that children can be crueler than any adult.
"Like I said, kids are cruel, Jack. And I'm very in touch with my inner child!" ―Sundowner to Raiden

Keys: LQ-84i, Blade Wolf
Blade Wolf(LQ-84i) is a boss character who appears in "Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance."
Blade Wolf, or simply Wolf, officially designated IF Prototype LQ-84i (IF standing for "Interface"), is a wolf-like quadrupedal Unmanned Gear with a learning optical neuro-AI and a prototype verbal interface. Known weapons systems included a chainsaw attached to his back that could be used to cut opponents, springloaded HF knives, a rail gun, as well as extendable claws. His tail also acted as a manipulator arm similar to that of the Gekko units. It was once referred to informally as the K-9000 due to its appearance, which also resembled the battle suit of Crying Wolf. Similar unmanned gears called Fenrirs existed as well, apparently being mass-produced models of LQ-84i. Blueprints for LQ-84i were downloaded into Raiden, an agent for the PMSC Maverick Security Consulting, Inc., during or prior to being severely injured in a mission. Maverick later recovered the cluster file via Raiden's arm, although they not only had to input a password to bypass the encryption process, but also enact an override system in the process. LQ-84i was built as a prototype to a next-generation weapon meant to replace both human combatants and cyborgs. To achieve this, it was deemed necessary to be able to communicate and make intelligent decisions on how to act, hence why he was outfitted with an interface system. During his development, he was outfitted with a learning program, which the researchers, who doubled as his instructors, utilized with an extensive battery of conversations, the nature of which included miscellaneous matters, breakfast-table greetings, the structure of elementary particles, the challenges resulting from rapid globalization, and recent trends in music. Before that, he also was supplied with various website texts and eBooks in a steady stream to acquire literacy, which aided him into developing from an infantile state of mind, even gaining a processing reading speed of 60 megabytes for plain text for the first year. As the LQ-84i was funded by DARPA for the purpose of being a weapon, he was rarely treated by his instructors as more than equipment, although some did treat him as a pet or child. The LQ-84i, as a result of this, was also exposed to various ideals, with the stronger ones weeding out the weaker ones, similar to humans. However, although the goals of giving him intellect had succeeded with flying colors, he lacked brutality, largely because he was still not human, nor did he have humanity inside his programming. Because of this, after three years of testing, the project was cancelled, and the LQ-84i himself ended up deactivated, hence why he was a "one-of-a-kind" prototype. A period of time later, Desperado Enforcement LLC. somehow managed to locate LQ-84i, and reactivate him, presumably due to Sundowner's sense of humor, as the robot had more concern for his "fellow man than an actual fellow man." Sometime afterwards, he was ordered to attack the Brazilian swordsman Samuel Rodrigues in the Denver sewers. He eventually gained the opportunity to attack Sam while utilizing stealth camouflage. Sam then told him to make his own decisions. The robot seemed to consider Sam's advice, but then attacked him again, as he had also been ordered to fight otherwise his memory would be wiped. The mech was eventually defeated by Sam, who then told him that the reason why he lost was because of their different motives for fighting: While the robot had been forced to fight, Sam fought from his own free will. LQ-84i then went offline. After being repaired by Desperado, despite his failure, he still retained his memory. In addition, he also fought alongside Sam, now a Desperado affiliate, in three missions, with the AI gaining respect to Sam. As a result Sam was the one person he looked up to. By 2018, Sundowner viewed him as useless, although Mistral decided to have him operate under her command. It is unknown why she did this, although LQ-84i speculated that it was due to her seeking companionship and liking dogs. During the Abkhazian Coup, he was given directives to "ensure freedom" in the country, in the aftermath of Desperado and Andrey Dolzaev's coup d'état against the parliamentary government, which included killing Raiden should they meet. LQ-84i was forced to obey their orders lest his AI memory be wiped but still retained his original order to fight for freedom. He later attempted to escape for freedom when Mistral had removed his range inhibitor, although she secretly intended for Khamsin to be killed by the renegade UG. He then proceeded to escape through Abkhazia, also deducing from Mistral's words how to escape. He eventually encountered Khamsin and killed him, despite the latter's best efforts at stopping him. However, Mistral then reactivated the range inhibitor shortly thereafter and revealed her deception. Shortly after Khamsin's death, when Raiden was redeployed by Maverick with a new cyborg outfit to Abkhazia, LQ-84i, by that point under strict orders to kill Raiden, ambushed him and attempted to cut him down with his chainsaw, but Raiden successfully parried him. Upon being questioned about his identity and purpose, LQ-84i identified himself and revealed that he was to kill Raiden under Desperado's orders. However, he also insisted that he was sentient "beyond human reckoning," and also reluctant to carry out the order, but he could not disobey the order without Desperado wiping his AI if he did. Raiden expressed doubts about his superior intellect, and tried to test him by asking him about the meaning of life. Upon learning of his orders to kill him, he then taunted him by claiming that there's no point to having a superior intellect if the LQ-84i couldn't use it.[7] They then fought, with the LQ-84i attacking Raiden with his chainsaw and attempting to pounce on him. In addition, he occasionally retreated onto a high ledge and summoned cyborgs and Gekko to assist, remaining there until Raiden defeated them. The Blade Wolf was known to possess an advanced intellect, even by human standards. His overall neuron count for his optical AI amounted to 90 billion. To put it in perspective, his mass produced models, the Fenrirs, had a neuron limit of 1.6 billion. With his advanced intelligence, Blade Wolf was a highly effective UG weapon, capable of using logic, reason and independent thought to aid him in missions. Blade Wolf's AI was sentient and modeled after the human brain, hence capable of human emotions and behaviors, such as curiosity, sarcasm, fondness, affinity and learning capacity. He also appeared to be able to experience physical sensations such as pain, as seen when Sunny stepped on his tail. Due to Desperado's programming, Blade Wolf was forced to follow orders or would lose his memory. Hence, he followed orders out of self preservation rather than a willing desire to fight. As a result, Blade Wolf yearned for his own freedom, fighting Sam and Raiden reluctantly after they both, in their separate encounters, encouraged him to think and decide for himself. Blade Wolf sometimes has a sarcastic attitude, as when Mistral supposedly deactivated his range inhibitor, he took the remote used to control it from her and fled, though not before saying "Of course. Thank you." When Raiden was talking to Kevin about Wolf joining Raiden on his mission, Raiden made a pun about deciding to "throw him a bone," Wolf pointed it out and said it was amusing on two levels. As expressed during their dialogue when Wolf tells Raiden to hurry to World Marshal HQ and Raiden jokes about picking up a souvenir for Rose on the way, Wolf thinks that Raiden isn't funny. Wolf also generally has a dry, disrespectful sense of humor when talking to Raiden.
"I possess an intellect far beyond human reckoning." ―Blade Wolf
