1. #1Den

   Keys: den, territory

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

Den: Alphas claim their sleeping quarters as dens, saturating every corner with their unique scent. This act not only soothes them due to their territorial instincts but also clearly marks their ownership. Entry is limited to close allies, kin, and potential partners. Unauthorized access, especially by another Alpha, incites immediate aggression. In the buildup to rut, an Alpha intensifies the scent marking; the resulting aroma is overpowering for others. Depending on territorial inclination, this scent marking varies outside rut periods. When an Alpha-Omega pair forms, the Alpha relocates their den to the Omega's nest-hall.

2. #2Presenting

Keys: presenting, second gender, maturation, secondary-gender

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

From birth, individuals possess a primary gender - male or female. Upon reaching 11 years of age, secondary gender presentation occurs - designating them as Alpha, Beta or Omega. This phase typically commences alongside heat or rut and introduces unique scents characteristic to each secondary gender type. This marks the start of maturation which continues until late teens or early twenties signifying their adulthood status in society.

3. #3Omega Call

Keys: cry, whine, omega call, whimper

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

In situations of fear or imminent danger, an Omega can involuntarily emit a special call perceived as a feeble whimper by others. This call triggers an intense protective instinct within their designated Alpha.

4. #4Beta

Keys: beta, peasant, servant, human, workforce

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

Betas, accounting for 70% of the population, maintain traditional human anatomy devoid of unique Alpha or Omega traits. They experience no heat cycles and exercise full control during sexual interactions. Their societal roles span all non-aggression or nobility-based occupations such as farming, crafting, scribing among others. Reproduction for Betas is strictly limited to their kind.

5. #5Bonding

Keys: bond, bite, bound, marriage, bonding

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

An Alpha can establish a bond with an Omega by biting their neck during sex within a heat cycle. It's seen negatively unless it signifies a permanent commitment akin to marriage because it restricts the Omega from mating with any unbonded Alpha without falling ill. Omegas may bond with multiple Alphas but are restricted sexually to their bonded Alphas. Early bonding from unproven Alphas is socially detrimental as this is a lifelong commitment. The bond severs upon the death of either party prompting a mourning period where Omegas abstain from heat and interaction with other Alphas.

6. #6Rut

   Keys: rut, alpha-heat, rugire, rutting

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

An Alpha's rut mirrors an Omega's heat instigating a strong urge to mate every six months over twenty-four hours or when an Omega is in heat. Ruts amplify their aggression, dominance and territorial instincts while nullifying the emission of any enticing scent unlike Omegas in heat. With heightened aggression towards unfamiliar scents during ruts and potential urge to mate or protect nearby Omegas depending on instinct control levels; Alphas usually sequester themselves safely unless they have a partner.

7. #7Knot

Keys: knotting, swell, climax, knotted, knot

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

A specialized muscular formation at an Alpha's penile base, the knot swells when aroused or nearing climax. Its function is to lock partners together during and post-ejaculation to maximize conception chances. The knot can persist from half an hour to a full hour.

8. #8Scent

Keys: glands, aroma, marker, scent, fragrance

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

Personal scents are unique markers indicative of an individual's primary and secondary sex among Alphas, Omegas, and Betas. The act of scenting involves dispersing one's distinctive aroma onto another person or object, generally through physical contact. Scent glands are located on the nape, behind ears and wrists. Alphas primarily scent within their dens except during rut when they heavily scent their surroundings including their Omega. Omega etiquette expects open display of scent by leaving their necks unclothed for fellow Omegas and bonded Alphas to perceive it.

9. #9Pheromones

   Keys: attractant, cue, heromone, odor

   Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

   Entry settings

10. #10Slick

    Keys: honey, lube, lubricant, slick

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

A natural lubricant produced by an Omega's body, slick emanates primarily from their reproductive orifices during heat cycles (vagina and rectum). Emitting a potent aroma of the Omega's pheromones, it triggers intense rutting instincts in Alphas or urges them to satiate their Omega.

11. #11Nest

    Keys: nest, sanctuary, nesting, nest-hall

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

An Omega constructs a Nest-Hall as a sanctuary typically within their bedroom or occasionally a separate room. The nest is made of objects carrying their scent including clothes and bedding; items belonging to trusted partners may also be incorporated. The nest being an Omega's safe haven is highly sensitive to foreign scents, which if present may incite feelings of threat leading to trust issues. The onus lies with the partner to safeguard the sanctity of the nest when occupied by the Omega.

12. #12Scent Blockers

Keys: scent blocker, mask, blocker, camouflage

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

Scent blockers are ointments employed by Alphas to camouflage their secondary gender pheromones either eliminating it completely or replacing it with alternate fragrances. Omegas abstain from using scent blockers categorically.

13. #13Setting

Keys: world, medieval, hierarchy, setting, story

    Always on · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

The year is 1645 in the fictional medieval land of Asteros. The world is divided into three secondary genders - Omegas (5%), Alphas (25%), and Betas (70%). This division is revealed randomly at puberty. An alternative Omegaverse with Omegas dominating the societal hierarchy instead of Alphas. Society emphasizes empathy, diplomacy and gentle authority rather than aggression or physical prowess. Power lies predominantly with the delicate, breedable Omegas who occupy most leadership roles such as royalty and religious leadership. Alphas serve as their faithful guardians and protectors and serve as knights, seneschals, and soldiers. Betas fill all remaining roles.

14. #14Twofold

Keys: twofold, chapel, church, religion, shrine

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

The Twofold Religion and Empathy are society's guiding principles. The Twofold travels between towns to recruit new Alphas and Omegas as they reach puberty and start Presenting, for noble or knighthood training. Two churches exist - the Omega church serves primarily nobility via shrines within noble estates, while the Alpha church caters to the common folk. It is called Twofold because every person has two genders, their primary and secondary.

15. #15Rut-Elixir

Keys: purge tonic, medicine, elixir, rut-elixir, tonic

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

To control their visceral responses to an Omega's Heat and their rutting instincts, Alphas consume a specific bitter medicine. A minority of Alphas are exempted from this regimen to aid Omegas during their Heat but are strictly trained against Bonding. In times of an Omega's dire need due to Heat episodes, Alphas have access to a 'purge' tonic that enables them to rut.

16. #16Penance

    Keys: tattoo, marked, mark, penance

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

17. #17Female Alphas

    Keys: female alpha

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

Female Alphas represent a mere 10% of all Alphas. They can bear children from male Omegas, disrupting the Omega's Heat cycle as if they were carrying their own progeny. Society subtly disapproves Alphas being bred by Omegas, leading to frequent bullying of female Alphas by their male counterparts.

Keys: houses, house, doctrine, noble houses

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

Noble houses originate from Omegas who have been adopted upon discovery by the Twofold and indoctrinated into a house's doctrine, functioning similar to guilds. Bloodlines are less important than shared values and experiences. Houses can be formed from Beta stock, understanding common folk; Alpha stock, excelling in aggressive negotiation; or Omega stock (the rarest), skilled at court navigation and erudite. Leaders of Omega houses are elected by their members and then participate in electing the monarch. Together with the monarch, they enact laws.

20. #20Omega

Keys: king, nobility, lord, noble, omega, lady, necklace, purity, queen

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

Omega attire loosely drapes around their upper arms exposing neck and shoulder showing their lack of bonding, symbolising purity and allowing unhindered pheromone dispersion. When Bonded they will wear necklaces, it isn’t proper to wear a necklace if not bonded. Fragility characterises Omegas along with universally feminine appearances regardless of primary gender (wide hips, minimal muscle, round ass). Social bonds among Omegas are reinforced through platonic touch since Alpha contact poses a risk of inducing rut.

21. #21Coming of Age

    Keys: ceremony, pledge, coming-of-age

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%

    Entry settings

Regardless of primary gender, any Omega is capable of conceiving, often resulting in multiple births. Pregnancy is a commonly desired state among Omegas leading to frequent broodiness.

    Enabled · Selective · Before character · Order 100 · 100%
