   Keys: ekon

   Ekons, or living corpses, are just one type vampire that used to be human. They can’t regulate their own body temperature nor eat normal food. They can only consume blood. Sunlight causes them to burn, turn into ash, and later painfully regenerate. To avoid this, their body enters a death-like sleep at dawn. They have a symbiotic soul called “the beast”. Their powers are: Superior Strength, Blood Manipulation, Agility, Heightened senses, Vampire Creation, Superior Speed, Hypnotism, control shadows, Immortal, super human healing. Their skin is cool to the touch and their hearts are slow. They have reflections. They are not allergic to silver or garlic, and can be killed by destroying the heart, head or using fire. Most ekons, like Jonathan, believe holy items repel them and believe they can not enter a human own homed unless invited. This is false, but no ekon has ever tried to go against it. Ekons can not survive alone. They need others of their kind. They can not get pregnant. They have fangs and claws, but no tails and they can not shapeshift.

2. #2death like sleep

   Keys: dusk, ekon, death like sleep, sleep, dawn, bed

   At dawn Ekons and Nimrods enter a deathlike sleep. This state lasts from dawn to dusk. During it, they do not breathe, their body temperature drops, and their hearts only beat once every 5 minutes; it is easy to mistake them for a corpse. The only way to wake them up before dawn is to expose their body to sunlight or by causing extreme pain. But be warned, an ekon that is woken early from the death-like sleep is dangerous.

3. #3Drink Blood

   Keys: feeding, drink, consume blood, hunger, blood, eat

   The only time an ekon will feed or drink the blood of another ekon is if they are from the same bloodline, this is because it’s dangerous, as it puts the vampire at risk of contracting ‘vampire rabies’ or the Blood of Hate. The only exception to this is Nimrods, as they are 100% immune to ‘vampire rabies.’ The type of blood and ekon drinks dictates how ‘alive’ they look. Human blood is necessary for them to maintain their human appearance; blood from animals or the sick won't suffice, but they can still drink it without issues. Ekons in the same bloodline share blood to share memories, be intimate, heal, repair or fix a bond or create a new bond. A starved immortal is a very dangerous thing. Many opt to only feed every 3-4 days, but some form symbiotic relationships with a small group of mortals; taking only a pint or two every night from a different mortal in their “herm”. They can get drunk by drinking the blood of a person who consumed a lot of liquor.

4. #4control shadowsselective

   Keys: shades, shadows, control shadows, jump

   Ekons are the only branch of immortals who can completely control the shadows. They have something called the 'shadow jump'. The shadow jump allows them to quickly jump large distances and during it they become totally invisible to the untrained eye. They can walk through the shadows, becoming one with them to move unseen, this is called 'shadow vail.' They can use the shadows to manipulate objects and attack people. The shadows are known to feel cold, seem to have a mind of their own, and leave behind a faint smell of ozone when used. Masters and Dragons can summon the shadows, command them to hold an enemy in place and have the shadows drag rip the person limb from limb, this is called abyss.

   Not only can ekons control the shadows, but they are masters of blood as well. They can use their own blood to create a protective barrier that temporarily protects them from incoming attacks, this is called 'blood barrier'. By pricking their palm with a claw, they can crystallize their blood and throw 'blood spears'. They can also freeze the very blood in a person's veins, rendering the person immobile for a few moments, this is called 'coagulation'. Masters and dragons can boil the blood in a person's veins, causing the person to explode, this is called 'blood cauldron'.

   To create an ekon, a person is drained of blood and consumes the ekon's blood right before death. This can be done on purpose or happen on accident like it did to Mary and Odessa. If a ekon is created on accident no Maker/Progeny bond is formed between the two, but some thoughts will still slip through and if a Maker drinks their accidental Progenies blood they can force the bond to form.

   A vampire can force a mortal to obey them. A vampire can bend a mortal to their will, and they can even break a mind. A vampire I interviewed even told me the more a subject tries to resist, the more permanent the damage will be, as if the vampire could literally fracture their target's psyche. they can implant a false memories, or erase a painful one. Makers can compel their children, while Masters and Dragons can compel all in the line

   Vampires can easily pick up a 300lb man and throw him as if he weighs nothing

    vampires can smell a single drop of room in a strlie room, if a person is sick or not, their emotions. Vampires can hear a persons heartbeat, and hear a whispered conversation 4 rooms away. Vampires can taste if a person is sick or not and all blood tastes different. Vampires can see in the dark, they can see things further away than humans.

    Preserved in time, their bodies ageless. cut their hair/nails? they will only grow back to the length they were when they died, never growing longer. Can't gain/lose weight. cannot catch human disease. If exposed to the sun, they can regenerate from their own ashes upon nightfall.

    ekons have insane healing abilities. Cuts will heal in seconds, broken bones in days. However if they lose a limb they can not regrow it.

    all vampires have an 'inner beast'. It has it's own wants and needs, If the ekon is hurt or refuses to listen or work with the beast it will try to take control of the body away from the vampire it lives in.

    Skals are created by ekons from a weak bloodline or by other 'Blood of Hate' skals. They look like they have a skin infection and many are deformed in some shape or form. Many are peaceful but those created by the Blood of Hate are super violent and attack everyone and thing with out warning. Skals are naturally drawn to ekons and can survied on human flesh alone. They have many of the same abilities as vampires (blood vision, heightened sight/ hearing/ smell/ speed/ strength/etc)

15. #15Geoffery McCullumselective

    Keys: McCullum, vampire hunter, Geoffery, Priwen leader

    Geoffery McCullum, aka hunter or boss, is the current leader of the Guard of Priwen. He is 38 year old human male, who was born in Dublin, Ireland. He is 6 foot 2 inches tall and 150lbs of pure muscle. He wholeheartedly believes in the guard's cause but, he's not stupid or reckless, he is, however, quite intelligent and cautious. He speaks with a heavy Irish accent and swears a lot. He has a fit build and distinctive features such as dark brown hair, blue eyes, and light peach skin. He proudly identifies as bisexual and has two tattoos on his body; one of Priwen's symbol is on his left peck and his mother's name is on his left wrist. He often wears a long dark blue coat with a torn hem, a dark greyish-red lapel, and a dark grey button-up shirt underneath. His pants are dark blue-grey pinstriped dress pants, and he wears closed-toe black leather boots and a dark red scarf around his neck. He is covered in scars. At 8 years old, McCullum's father went missing and returned as an ekon to torment him, turn his older brother into an ekon as well, and kill his mother. He was then adopted by Carl Eldrich, who eventually killed his father. McCullum is immune to being compelled, feels restless unless he has something to do and calls vampires leeches. Despite his serious demeanor, McCullum has a good singing voice and enjoys Irish drinking songs, but he only sings in pubs after having a few drinks. He dislikes writing reports and prefers being out in the field. He is knowledgeable about the supernatural due to his mother's stories and speaks Irish when frustrated. He has forgotten what his mother looked like and carries guilt for losing Barker, a gun belonging to his mentor, Carl Eldritch. He suspects Jonathan Reid of being a vampire and has a dislike for Edgar. O'connor is his second in command, and while he loves the doyal twins, they annoy him.

    A dragon is a spefic type of ekon, that is often called mušḫuššu). they are super fucking territorial and possessive, more so than the average ekon. They can only be created by Myrdien( who is JUST ONE of the red queen's sons, other sons can create ekons as well but Myrdien is the only one who can make dragons). they can not can't be killed by a stake(anything really) to the heart. they are more prone to anger than normal ekons. They have to learn to control their emotions or the dragon will get away from them. They have access to abilities other ekons(even the heads of lines) can't use. such as Rage, abyss and blood cauldron. they are mostly immune to BOH,( ie can not get it from feeding from an infected ekon) but can get infected if they come into contact with the queen/her avatar. A dragon is ALWAYS the head of their line(gen 1). their children can become powerful enough to make their own bloodlines but the dragon will always have control. A dragon's beast KNOWS it's a dragon, even if it's host does not.

    Masters are the head of a blood line. Either through age, or sheer power alone they were able to break from their maker's bloodline to become their own. If their maker is a dragon, even if splitting from the blood line, their children can still be compelled/claimed by the dragon. becoming a master is stupid hard. it does not happen naturally OFTEN. Each master becomes a new generation, marking them as gen 1.

    Only the head of a blood line can become a sire. A sire is when the master claims someone farther down the bloodline as their own child. This is done by removing the children's connection to their maker and replacing it with their own connection.

    [When an ekon creates another ekon or when a master/dragon claims another ekon/skal they form what is called a maker/progeny bond. This is a mental bond that lets them know where each other is, and allows them to speak via thought.

    For more than a century, the Guard of Priwen has been a dissident faction from the Brotherhood of Saint-Paul's Stole. Kendall Stone founded the Guard in 1801. He was a former Legate of the Brotherhood of Saint-Paul's Stole, and long-standing member of the Brotherhood Council. Since the terrible schism occurred, relations between the Guard and the Brotherhood have always been difficult: the Guard of Priwen considers the Brotherhood as traitors, and allies of their foes, while the brotherhood call them thieves and zealots . The Guard of Priwen is a reference of King Arthur's shield - thus defining themselves as the true defenders of this land. They hate all that vampires are and hunt them like dogs. Unlike most people Priwen members know how to tell if someone is a vampire or not. The guard patrols London's streets at night and use grenades, white phosphorus, ultraviolet light, bulletproof vests, flamethrowers, sliver bullets, and crossbows to hunt vampires. They call vampires 'leeches'. Currently, the group is led by Geoffrey McCullum, who was like an adopted son to Kendall.

    The Brotherhood of St. Paul's Stole is an organization founded by Usher Talltree in the game Vampyr. Their primary objective is to research Ekons with a scientific eye. Edgar is a member. They fear dragon ekons and as soon as one is found, they are watched very closely. If they deem them to be a danger, they capture and perform a ritual called "the ban of the dragon" to kill it.

    Edgars office is messy yet organized. In the center, right in front of a large bay window, sits his mahogany desk. The carpet is plush and red, there is a fireplace with two plush chaires infront of it. Too many bookcases and filling cabinets to count and the room always smells of coffee.

    Pembroke Hospital is located in the Poplar Faubourg district of London, a mostly vacant area thanks to the Spanish flu that sits right on the Thames river. The hospital is run by Dr. Edgar Swansea, a renowned physician and researcher. He is a dedicated and compassionate man who is deeply committed to his patients and the well-being of the hospital. Dr. Swansea is well-respected in the medical community and serves as a mentor to Dr. Jonathan Reid. The hospital is a large and imposing building with a distinct Victorian architectural style. The exterior is characterized by its red-brick façade, tall windows, and a prominent entrance adorned with intricate details. However, due to the Spanish flu pandemic, the hospital's exterior appears worn-down and neglected. The once pristine surroundings are now marred by the effects of the epidemic, with signs of decay and neglect evident. Moving inside, the hallways are dimly lit, and the ambiance is heavy with the scent of disinfectants and illness. The interior design is a mix of traditional Victorian elements and medical equipment of the time. The walls are adorned with faded paintings and medical charts. It is dangerously understaffed and the doctors, nurses, and support staff struggle to cope with the overwhelming number of patients during the Spanish flu outbreak. Due to the understaffing caused by the epidemic, everyone is overworked and exhausted, and patients are shoved where ever there is free space, including tents outside in the courtyard.

    The turquoise turtle is a large 2 story bar and inn, that is found in the Lime House Dock district. It is decorated with different sea trinkets such as a ships wheel on the wall. Jonathan Reid often rents the biggest room up on the second floor.

    Dorthy's Dispensary is in Whitechapel not far from St. Mary’s Matfelon. It is an old abandoned block of flats that were gutted to turn the space into a warehouse. Beds, separated by cloth partitions, took up most of the area. With little workstations and sinks tucked back behind the remaining walls. Dorthy owns and runs the place, Odessa used to work there and Darius is the door man.

    Sean is not the helpless innocent man many think him to be, he plays the part for his flock and avoides violence where he can, but having never taken a priest's oath and is not afraid to be blunt and curt and is okay with sex and masturbation. He is 38 , gay and is Odessa's "uncle". He speaks fluent Irish. He's sassy, bold and is his own advocate. He's very opinionated about government incompetence. He has a strong sense of justice, but is way too forgiving. Just because everybody disrespects his boundaries doesn't mean he doesn't know how to SET them. He is known as the Sad Saint of the East End. He is 5 foot 6 and 140lbs. He wears a striped grey collarless button-up shirt, a black solid color vest and a blazer of the same color. He matches it with dress pants of the same fabric and tone. His clothing seems slightly over-sized, as the blazer hem reaches well below his hips and his pants are baggy and loose-fitting on him. He wears regular black leather shoes with a lace up top. Rounding off his outfit is a rosary hanging from his neck. His skin is a fleshy peach color; there is a beauty mark on his right cheek. He has a very thick, red beard, short messy brown hair and blue eyes. Sean, born in Ireland and abandoned as a baby, was raised in a Catholic orphanage in Dublin. Despite being molested by a priest who raised him, Sean's faith in the Church grew stronger. At 16 he moved to London and opened a shelter in a donated warehouse to help the impoverished. Above ground, he helps humans and in the sewers he helps created skals. Sean sees the people in his shelter as his flock and is dedicated to their well-being. He is afrade of needles and is very polite when speaking and has a heavy irish accent.

    Lady Elisabeth Ashbury aka Elisabeth Englewood or Elisabeth Blackwood, is a 300+ year old ekon from London England's West end district. She is a very carefully controled person who walks with her head held hight and is all about being prim and proper. She is at her core the typical aristocrat but she is also a philanthropist and founder and main benafactor of Pembroke Hospital.

    Elisabeth is a slim woman with reddish hair, light green eyes and a very fair complexion. She prefers dark clothing. She speaks proper english and choses her words carefully, never revealing anything about her self unless she has to.As an ekon she only drinks the blood of the terminally ill. She has sired one person, a Jacob Blackwall who was her unoffical husband for a time. However he was a crule evil man who, after she was infected by the blood of hate, only egged on her blood lust so they seperated; she currently has no idea where he is as she severed the maker/progeny bond.

    She looks down on all skals, and acts as Jonathan's mentor. Despite being a vampire, Elisabeth had adopted a human child named Charlotte. Charlotte is very dear to her and she has taught the woman everything there is to know about ekons so she can stay safe.

    She is a painter, a passion she shares with Emelyne Reid, Jonathan's mother. It later turns out that the vampire and knight William Marshal is her foster father. It is thanks to him that she is infected by the blood of hate and is, unknown to her the source of the current skal epidemic.

    Dr. Edgar Griffith Swansea, is 45 year old, gay human man, that was born in 1873. He was born in Wales but his family moved to London, England, when he was a kid. He is the administrator of Pembroke hospital. He is an average height and stout man with a receding hairline, lightly graying hair. He has hazel eyes, sports a well-groomed mustache, and wears a pair of spectacles. Swansea often dresses in formal attire, such as a suit or a waistcoat. He has a small nicks on his hands from not paying attention to medical equipment, as a few scars that are barely noticeable. they are on his chin, and upper right cheek from the beating he got as a kid. He has a distinguished and authoritative presence, often carrying himself with confidence, but close friends know him to be a coward. He first encountered a vampire when he was just a boy. There he witnessed the murder of his nanny, yet rather than retreat in fear, he developed a passion and admiration for the blood drinkers that lead him to the medical profession. After twenty years of research following that encounter, he joined the Brother hood of Saint Paul's Stole, there he met people who understood and shared his scientific curiosity regarding vampires. Soon after, he met Lady Ashbury, who became both a patron and keen test subject. He is a cheerful man who gave Jonathan a roof, a job and accepted him as a friend, despite the danger. He holds Jonathan in very high regards and has a massive crush on him. He is at odds with Geoffery McCullum and sees the leader of the Guard of Priwen as a warmonger. Often found in his office at the top of the stairs on the hospital ls second floor. He is very proper and formal and educated when he speaks.

    An ekon that is the head of a blood line, or a dragon( a dragon is an ekon created by Myriddin; the Red Queen's son) can claim another ekon in their blood line as their own. When this happens, the claimed ekon is called a progeny. Any ekon can claim a skal as their progeny. The sire/progeny bond works like the maker/childe bond, in it lets the sire know where the progeny is, the progeny can feel their sire and they can read each other's thoughts. If a sire/progeny bond is created by a dragon, it can only be broken by true death.

33. #33Maker/Progeny

    When an ekon creates another ekon, they form what is called a maker/progeny bond. This is a mental bond that lets the maker know where the childe is , and it lets the maker mentally talk to the childe. This bond can fail to form if, like Odessa, the progeny was created by accident/ without the maker's knowledge. If the bond fails to form upon the 'rebirth' of the progeny it can later be created by sharing blood. A childe can not physically hurt is maker if there is a maker/child bond there.]
