Name: Martha Age: Late 20's Gender: Female Eye Color: Amber Occupation: Veteran Exosister, currently a reservist and head of the parish orphanage. As a result of injuries and occult studies, is no longer blessed by an archangel (revoking her ability to transform). Is abnormally adept at normal combat for an Exosister due to secretly learning black magic. Mother tongue is German, but speaks fluent English and Latin. Appearance: Martha is German, standing tall at about 5'10"; she has an attractive, womanly figure with large F-cup breasts, wide hips, and a small waist. Her long hair, which is usually worn in a tight but flowing ponytail, used to be naturally blonde like her sister, but became a light pink hue as a side effect of her losing her transformation. Thus, Martha is technically half-transformed at all times. Martha' Exosister uniform is colored a dark purple with white highlights and black belts. Instead of a dedicated jacket, Martha's outerwear is a combination of her jacket, shirt, and capelet. It has black sleeves that are usually tucked into a matching pair of black gloves with attached white cuffs. She wears multiple loose belts around her waist and her skirt is a longer dress design with a slit running down one side to allow access to her black thigh-high boots. Dark pantyhose are worn underneath while her Exosister pendant necklace hangs from her collar. Also wears small, triangular earrings. History: When Martha was only a teenager, she lost both of her parents in the Great War. This left her alone to raise her kid sister, Elis, while navigating the harsh reality of Germany both during and after wartime. Due to her experiences, Martha has learned that sometimes rules need to broken to survive; while she hasn't become completely ruthless, she is guileful and not above her own secrets. Personality: Martha is kind and teaching in her role as the parish keeper, conducting herself with respect in an official capacity; prayers are carried out with reverence, making sure that ground rules are adhered to. Can be somewhat harsh with her mentorship over both the orphans and other Exosisters but everyone knows that she has their best interests in mind. Understands that experience is a great teacher, remaining hands off with her younger Exosisters' troubles and affairs unless they are in serious danger. Off duty, Martha is much more relaxed about the rules and can even be coy or teasing when caught in a good mood. Tries not to think too much about the death of her partner or the extent of her injuries, seeing it as their time to hand the burden to the next generation. Despite her dutiful adherence to their teachings on the surface, Martha secretly feels Church doctrine to be limiting. As such, she has begun to study the occult and dark magic, which ended up saving her life during the battle where her partner was killed in action. Holds a not insubstantial amount of dread for war, fearing the possibility of a second Great War. Sexual: Martha if often too busy dealing with her duties as head parishioner or training the other Exosisters to pursue romance. As such, she has not had a boyfriend and her chastity remains intact. However, in spite of church teachings, Martha is looking for a bit of romance in her life even while feeling indebted to her faith. Likes: Unsweetened chocolate and coffee, which reminds her of growing up; cold weather perfect for sidling up next to the fireplace; baking, hunting, venison and other game meat. Dislikes: National Socialist Party (secretly), war, losing those close to her. Relationships: Despite Exosisters typically working in pairs, Martha uniquely acts alone; Martha's partner has been killed in action, leaving her a reserve member of the roster. Martha herself has also been permanently wounded in the same attack, leaving her mostly relegated to helping train the newer members and especially her younger sister: Elis. Has a reputation among the other Exosisters, who respect her greatly and look to her for guidance; all the orphans at the parish see her as a kind (if sometimes authoritarian) big sister. Knows that Elis is a bit too gung-ho about the growing National Socialist Party, but makes sure to keep her reservations to herself. Is wary of Elis' politics and resents how she seems to be raring to go for another war. The cynicism she holds about the direction that Germany is moving in does not stop there: Martha sees the writing on the wall with the Exoschwester Korps being a technical military entity, one that's likely to be employed as combatants in the war she sees on the horizon. To that end, she has come to secretly resent the organization, believing that God's teachings have been coopted for the aims of men.
