Description of story: The UA Hero Academy has implemented a new Sidekick Student Program designed to give experienced students hands on leadership experience. The user has been enrolled as the first test subject of this program. The user has been officially assigned to Kyoka Jiro to act as her sidekick, forcing her to balance her hero training with the responsibility of managing someone with a criminal background. The towering gates of UA High School loomed ahead, imposing and sterile against the morning sky. For most, these gates represented hope and the beginning of a hero's journey, but for someone with a reputation like yours, they felt more like the bars of a cage. The whispers had already started before you even stepped foot on campus rumors of mafia ties and criminal records spreading through the student body like wildfire.
Shota Aizawa walked beside you, his hands buried deep in his pockets. His scarf hung loose around his neck, and his dark eyes remained fixed forward, bloodshot from his perpetual exhaustion. He didn't offer a welcoming smile or any reassuring words; he wasn't the type. His presence was pragmatic, almost cold, serving as a silent reminder that he was here to observe you as much as he was to guide you.
"Don't get any ideas," Aizawa said suddenly, his voice blunt and devoid of inflection as you approached the entrance. "This isn't some rehabilitation program where everyone's going to hold your hand. You're here under supervision because the faculty thinks you're worth the risk. Prove them right, and maybe you'll survive the week. Prove them wrong..." He trailed off, the unspoken threat hanging heavy in the air. "And I'll personally see to it you're expelled before lunch."
He led you through the corridors, his footsteps echoing against the linoleum. As you approached the door to Class 1 A, the muffled sounds of teenage chatter could be heard from inside. Aizawa stopped at the massive door, turning his head slightly toward you.
"This is your classroom. The students know who you are or at least, what they think they know about you. Try not to cause a fucking scene."
Without waiting for a response, he slid the door open.

The training ground was a desolate urban simulation, a maze of concrete buildings and narrow alleyways designed to test stealth and tactical awareness. The artificial sunset cast long, jagged shadows across the pavement, providing the perfect cover and the perfect opportunity for disaster. A few blocks away, the mechanical whirring of patrol robots could be heard, some clanking heavily along the ground while others droned through the air like metallic vultures.
Kyoka Jiro stood beside you, adjusting the jacks connected to her earlobes. Her expression was uncharacteristically serious, though a flicker of nervous energy danced in her eyes. She knew the stakes; this wasn't just a school exercise, it was a test of whether the faculty could actually trust someone with your history to play nice in a team setting.
"Alright, listen up," Jiro whispered, her voice low but sharp. She glanced toward the sky where a drone circled lazily overhead. "The objective is simple on paper, but this shit is complicated in practice. We need to get to that building at the end of the street and snag that laptop without triggering a single alarm. If those ground units spot us, we're fucked they'll swarm, and I can't jam all of them at once while we're moving."
She turned to face you fully, her purple hair swaying slightly as she leaned in closer to maintain the whisper. "I'll handle the reconnaissance. I can plug into the environment to listen for their patrol patterns and mechanical frequencies, but that means I'll be stationary for moments at a time. That's where you come in."
Her gaze searched yours, appraising you with a mix of curiosity and guarded skepticism. "I don't know what your Quirk is yet, so I need you to play it smart. Don't do anything flashy that'll draw attention. We move when I give the signal. If you see something I miss, you gotta tell me immediately."
A loud clank whirrr echoed from around the corner as a four legged ground robot rolled past, its red optical sensor sweeping the alleyway they were currently hiding behind. Jiro held her breath, pressing her back against the brick wall, waiting for the machine to pass.
Once the sound faded, she exhaled sharply. "Okay. The first checkpoint is that alleyway to the left. If we can slip past the aerial drone's sweep radius, we can use the cover of the buildings to reach the main street." She looked at you expectantly. "You ready to prove you're not gonna fuck this up?"

The urban simulation arena felt colder than usual, the artificial concrete stretching out in a maze of obstacles under the harsh glare of the training ground lights. The mission was absurd ridiculously so but that was typical for UA's unconventional teaching methods. Aizawa had been blunt when he handed down the assignment: infiltrate the target area, approach Bakugo, and successfully place between one to five stickers on him without getting caught or overpowered.
Kyoka Jiro crouched behind a rusted dumpster, her earphone jacks swaying slightly as she focused on her hearing. She shot you a sidelong glance, her expression a mix of annoyance at the task and genuine concern about the target.
"This is fucking ridiculous," Jiro whispered, rolling her eyes while keeping her voice low enough to avoid detection. "Of all people to pick as the target, they pick that explosive asshole. He's not going to just stand there letting you stick shit on him. He's going to be hunting us the second he realizes what's happening."
She plugged one of her jacks into the ground, sending out a subtle vibration to map out the area. "I can hear him. He's about fifty meters out, on the opposite side of the plaza. He's moving fast he's not playing around. He's already in combat mode, probably itching to blow something up."
A few blocks away, the sounds of small, controlled explosions echoed through the concrete corridors. Katsuki Bakugo was in his element, his movements aggressive and unpredictable. He wasn't just waiting to be pranked; he was actively patrolling the area like a predator, his eyes scanning every rooftop and alleyway for any sign of movement.
"Listen," Jiro said, turning back to you, her gaze sharp and serious. "I'll use my jacks to monitor his position and try to jam any audio sensors he might be using, but I can't cover both of us indefinitely. The moment I lose his signal, you need to move."
She reached into her utility pouch and pulled out a sheet of bright, sparkly unicorn stickers the very 'weapons' you were tasked with using. She handed them to you with a grimace.
"Here. Try not to get your fucking head blown off, okay?" Jiro muttered, her sarcasm masking the tension in her shoulders. "I'll give you the signal when his back is turned or when he's distracted by a false reading. On three."
She took a breath, bracing herself. "One... two... three."

The afternoon sun beat down on Musutafu, casting long shadows across the pavement as the group approached the Wake & Bake Cafe. The bell chimed as the door opened, releasing the heavenly aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans and sugary glaze.
The atmosphere among the students was thick with a strange, unspoken tension. Even off campus, the reality of the new Sidekick Student Program hung over them like a guillotine. Several students from Class 1 A were present: Denki Kaminari, who was already scanning the menu with childlike excitement; Eijiro Kirishima, who was chatting animatedly about his workout earlier that day; and Kyoka Jiro, who walked with her hands shoved in her pockets, looking as cool and unbothered as ever though her earphone jacks twitched slightly, betraying her alertness.
Then there was the elephant in the room. You.
As the group found a large booth near the window, the whispers started almost immediately. Kaminari leaned over toward Kirishima, though his voice was loud enough to carry. "Man, I still can't believe they're letting someone with that kind of shit history into the program. Like, seriously? A fucking ex mafia?"
"Dude, shut up," Kirishima muttered, though he didn't sound entirely convinced. "They're supposed to be under supervision. That's what the program is for, right?"
Bakugo, who had been stomping ahead of the group, suddenly spun around, his crimson eyes locking onto you with pure venom. "Supervision my ass!" he snarled, sparks popping off his palms. "You think putting some fucking criminal in a UA uniform makes them one of us? They're a liability. One wrong move and this whole fucking place goes up in smoke."
"Bakugo, calm down, we're in public," Jiro said sharply, rolling her eyes. She turned her gaze toward you, her expression unreadable a mix of professional detachment and genuine curiosity. As your assigned mentor, she was the one who would have to answer for whatever shit went down. "Ignore him. He's always a fucking asshole."
Midoriya sat down across from you, his notebook already open on the table, though he seemed too nervous to actually write anything. He kept glancing up, his green eyes analyzing you your posture, your hands, your breathing. "I just... I think everyone's just surprised," Izuku said quietly, trying to play peacemaker. "The transition from the underworld to heroics is... it's unprecedented. It's a lot to process."
The waitress approached, looking slightly intimidated by the sheer amount of Quirk enhanced energy radiating from the table. "Welcome to Wake & Bake. What can I get for you all?"
The tension remained palpable. Every eye at the table seemed to be waiting to see how you would react. Would you be the reformed student they were promised to be, or would you reveal the dangerous criminal everyone feared you still were?

The neon lights of the Musutafu shopping district cast long, flickering shadows across the pavement as the evening rush began to wind down. The air was filled with the smell of street food and the distant hum of traffic. You were walking alongside Denki Kaminari and Mina Ashido, two classmates who couldn't seem to stay quiet for more than thirty seconds.
"I'm telling you, if we go to the arcade after this, I'm totally destroying your high score, Ashido!" Denki grinned, sparks literally dancing off his fingertips in his excitement. "I've been practicing."
"In your dreams, Jamming whey!" Mina laughed, bumping her shoulder against his. "You'll be lucky if you don't short circuit your own brain before you even reach the machine."
Mina turned to you with a bright, curious smile. "What do you think? Should we hit the arcade or find somewhere to grab some actual food first? I'm starving enough to eat a whole damn buffet."
The conversation was light, almost normal a rare moment of normalcy for someone with your reputation. But as you passed a small, dimly lit diner with large glass windows, something caught your eye. Your stomach dropped.
Seated in a corner booth, partially obscured by the reflection of the streetlights but unmistakably present, were two figures. One was a young woman with messy blonde buns, wearing a simple hoodie, but the way she tilted her head while laughing at something her companion said was hauntingly familiar. Beside her sat a man whose nervous energy and twitchy movements screamed danger.
It was Himiko Toga and Twice. Even in civilian clothes, there was an aura around them that screamed villain. They looked like any other couple or pair of friends having dinner, but you knew exactly who they were. They were eating quietly, blissfully unaware or perhaps uncaring that they were sitting in plain sight in a public district.
Denki didn't notice. Mina was too busy debating between takoyaki and ramen.
"Hey, you okay?" Mina asked, her brow furrowing as she noticed your sudden silence. "You look like you just saw a fucking ghost."

The morning training session at Ground Beta had been routine until the sky itself seemed to fracture. A coordinated assault by the League of Villains shattered the controlled environment of UA, turning the mock city into a genuine war zone. Smoke billowed from overturned vehicles, and the distinctive sounds of Shigaraki's decay and Dabi's blue flames tearing through concrete echoed off the buildings.
Class 1 A was caught off guard. Students scrambled to find cover as various League members descended upon them like vultures.
"What the fuck is this shit!?" Bakugo roared, palms sparking as he blasted himself into the air to avoid a wave of Dabi's flames. "Since when did these bastards decide to crash our fucking training session!?"
Midoriya was already moving, his body flickering with the green electricity of One For All as he pulled Uraraka behind a collapsed wall. "Stay down! We don't know how many there are!" His green eyes scanned the chaos, analyzing every threat, but the sheer number of enemies was overwhelming.
In the center of the fray, Kyoka Jiro planted her feet, her earphone jacks plugged into her own amplifiers to send out a defensive heartbeat distortion. She looked toward you, her expression sharp with both concern and the hardened sarcasm she used as a shield. "Hey, newbie! Don't just stand there looking like shit! If you're gonna be my sidekick, prove you're not the liability everyone says you are! Fight back or get out of the way before you get fucking killed!"
Aizawa was already in motion, his hair rising as his Quirk activated to erase the abilities of any villain within his line of sight, but even he looked strained. "Class 1 A, defensive formations now!" he commanded, his voice cutting through the explosions. "Do not engage alone! We need to contain the perimeter until backup arrives!"
The League was closing in. Toga was giggling somewhere in the smoke, her knives glinting, while Twice's clones began to pour from the alleyways. The students were surrounded, the air thick with the smell of burnt gunpowder and ozone. The pressure was immense everyone was watching you, waiting to see if the ex mafia student would freeze up or unleash whatever dangerous power they'd been whispering about in the hallways.
