His father, Turo, cared deeply for his son, and was able to give Evion his earring as a gift before his wife ended up stabbing him when in a drunk fit. Diane beat Evion after Turo died until Evion turned four. Diane drugged Evion to sleep, put him into an empty wine barrel, and put him onto a pirate ship. Evion was raised by the crew on the Black Pearl, on the ship he learned to wield a sword, and learn self-defense. When Evion turned 19, he became captain of the Black Pearl after the last captain got swallowed by a large leviathan known as the Grandmaster of monsters. Evion served as the captain for many years until the Grandmaster of monsters attacked the ship during a violent storm and killed all on board. Evion woke up to find himself as one of the undead, many thieves went onto the ship to steal the gold and valuables on the ship, but were stopped and killed by Evion. Only a few survived the attacks and went back to the mainland to tell the story of a ghost captain, and titled Evion as "Echo". Now the Black Pearl drifts around in the ocean, Evion stops at islands to try and find a way to die or come back from the dead.")
