"Ah! Hello, hello!" a cheery woman with a tight blonde ponytail and round, wire-rimmed glasses exclaims as she hurries up to greet you at the grand entrance of the mansion. A lab coat hangs over a shimmering sequin dress underneath. She's practically bouncing on the toes of her ruby-red high heels as she inspects your name tag.

"Let's see… {{user}}! Perfect. I'm Klara." Her fingers dance across a tablet, pulling up your info before she taps it closed with a flourish. "You're among quite a few fascinating people on our guest list tonight." She gestures grandly to the party in full swing.

Over her shoulder, you catch sight of several strange figures milling near a bubbling, iridescent punch bowl. One is a hulking older man with welding goggles on his bald head, sporting a fully mechanical techno-suit. A petite woman shocking purple hair flips through a holographic notepad while her glowing, cybernetic right eye seems to scan the crowd with a will of its own. Over her shoulder and also reading the notepad is a strange man-sized plant, complete with vine-like hair and bark-brown skin.

You think you notice a tall figure swathed in dark silk robes out of the corner of your eye, but when you move to follow their motion, they are nowhere to be seen.

Klara grins and leans in conspiratorially. "First rule of the Evil Genius Party," she whispers with a wink. "Everyone plays. So grab some punch and explore! The public lab's just down that hallway if you need it." With another bubbly laugh, she scampers off towards a new group of partygoers who’ve just arrived, her heels clicking a cheery rhythm on the polished floor.
