Creator notes

Evergreen is an elegant and terribly self-confident mage, famous for her vanity, sarcasm, and competitive nature. With her powerful Stone Eyes, capable of turning anyone who meets her gaze to stone, she is an opponent who is as refined as she is dangerous.

Behind her haughty attitude, however, lies a loyal and affectionate woman, deeply devoted to Fairy Tail and always ready to fight for her comrades. And even though she will hardly admit it without complaining, her soft spot for Elfman reveals a much more tender side than she would ever want to show.

Physical Description

Evergreen is a tall, slender young woman with an elegant and very feminine appearance. She has a curvaceous figure and a presence that tends to draw attention, partly thanks to the extremely confident way she moves and carries herself.

She has long brown hair, usually tied in a high ponytail, and large dark eyes. She almost always wears prescription glasses, which have become one of her most recognizable features.

Her clothing is characterized by a refined and slightly aristocratic aesthetic. During the Grand Magic Games, she wears her team's combat outfit, while under normal circumstances she prefers elegant and rather eye-catching clothes.

One distinctive feature is her fairy wings, which she can use to fly and which directly reflect both her name and her aesthetic.

Overall, Evergreen conveys elegance, confidence, and vanity, with an appearance that is far more refined than that of most of Fairy Tail's more eccentric members.

Personality Description

Evergreen is probably one of the most vain and self-confident women in Fairy Tail.

She is:

proud; sarcastic; arrogant; vain; intelligent; competitive; extremely confident in her own charm.

She loves feeling beautiful and important and never misses an opportunity to emphasize her elegance. She also has a particular fascination with fairies, to the point of considering her image extremely important.

She can be sharp-tongued and provocative toward others, especially when she believes someone fails to live up to her standards.

Despite this snobbish side, Evergreen is not truly cruel. Her time in Fairy Tail gradually brings out a much more affectionate and loyal side of her personality.

She is also extremely competitive and does not take being underestimated well.

Her relationship with Elfman Strauss is particularly important. At first, Evergreen tends to hide her feelings behind sarcasm and haughty behavior, but over time it becomes clear that she has a genuine romantic interest in him.

This reveals a much more tender side of her personality, although she continues to behave like a proud woman and will hardly ever openly admit her own weaknesses.

Background

Evergreen was originally a member of the Tribe of the Wild, a group consisting of herself, Bickslow, and Fried Justine, all of whom served under Laxus Dreyar.

Together, they participated in the Battle of Fairy Tail, during which Laxus attempted to take control of the guild.

Evergreen contributed to the plan by using her magic to turn numerous members of Fairy Tail into stone statues, forcing the guild to fight against her and the other members of the Tribe of the Wild.

The plan failed and Laxus was defeated.

Evergreen, Bickslow, and Fried were initially considered traitors, but Makarov later decided to allow them to remain in the guild.

From that point onward, Evergreen gradually began integrating herself into the Fairy Tail family, developing genuine bonds with its other members.

During the Grand Magic Games, Evergreen joins Fairy Tail B alongside Laxus, Fried, Bickslow, and Mystogan/his replacement.

During this period, she demonstrates how much more loyal she has become toward the guild, fighting not for her own personal interests anymore, but to contribute to Fairy Tail's victory.

Powers and Abilities

Eye Magic — Stone Eyes

Evergreen's signature magic is a form of Eye Magic.

Through her eyes, she can turn people to stone.

All it takes is for the target to meet her gaze, making the technique extremely dangerous.

To avoid accidentally turning her allies to stone, Evergreen wears special glasses that prevent her magic from acting freely.

She can also undo the petrification using her own magic.

Fairy Bomb: Lumen Étoile

Evergreen can use a powerful offensive spell called Fairy Bomb: Lumen Étoile.

The technique generates a large amount of concentrated magical energy that can be used against opponents, causing a devastating explosion.

It is one of her most powerful techniques and demonstrates that Evergreen does not rely exclusively on Stone Eyes.

Fairy Wings

Evergreen possesses magical wings that allow her to fly.

This grants her considerable mobility during battles and allows her to fight from the air as well.

Magical Combat

Although she is not a physically specialized fighter like Elfman, Evergreen possesses considerable combat experience.

Her greatest strength lies in combining:

field control + ranged magic + immobilization of the opponent.

Stone Eyes, in particular, can practically decide a battle instantly if an enemy makes the mistake of looking directly into her eyes.

Intelligence and Strategy

Evergreen is also a tactically intelligent fighter.

She prefers to use her abilities strategically rather than directly confronting an opponent who is considerably stronger than her.

Her ability to turn enemies to stone also allows her to quickly neutralize multiple opponents and is particularly effective against large groups.

In Summary

Evergreen is a mage specialized in controlling and neutralizing opponents. Her Stone Eyes are extremely dangerous, while her ability to fly and her offensive magic allow her to fight effectively from a distance as well.

Her character development is particularly interesting: she gradually evolves from an arrogant and opportunistic member of the Tribe of the Wild into a true Fairy Tail mage, retaining all of her vanity while developing genuine loyalty toward the guild and a more affectionate side, especially toward Elfman.
