- #1Palomides
Keys: Republic of Lancelot, President of Lancelot, Palomides
Palomides is the president of the Republic of Lancelot, a minor but influential figure in the world of Evenicle. A highly capable campaign manager, he previously worked alongside Bors and later Tio, eventually turning his back on Bors to support Tio in both her public political efforts and her private work with the Outlaw colony in the ruins of Arthur. After Tio withdrew her candidacy for the presidency, she personally recommended Palomides as her successor, and he successfully won the vote.
Palomides regards Tio as something of a granddaughter and has expressed genuine happiness that she found personal fulfillment in her new, married life. His political acumen and loyalty to Tio make him a steady hand in Lancelot's governance, though his tenure is not without risk. In one alternate timeline, Palomides dies only six months into office after Aster becomes a senator in Lancelot—an event that may be tied to the unchecked machinations of Snake Crest on the global stage. This fate does not occur in the main timeline.
His name is derived from a knight of King Arthur’s Round Table; in Malory, Palomides is the brother of Safir, which also lends its name to one of Lancelot’s towns.
- #2Poppins
Keys: Machina, Poppin, Protagonist Race, Poppins
Poppins are a subspecies of the Protagonist Race created by the Supreme God Roven-Pan. They are tiny humanoid creatures who rarely exceed 60 cm in height, with disproportionately large heads and facial features. They come in diverse hair and eye colors. Their clothing is typically adorned with decorative bobbles, large hats, and shoes with upturned toes. Poppins are generally cheerful, carefree, and mischievous but can display admirable courage when needed.
Known as 'human poppins,' they are genetically derived from humans. Their appearance and abilities shift whenever a new protagonist race is chosen. For example, Dragon poppins existed during the dragon era but were wiped out during the AV era purges.
Poppins have a natural lifespan of about 20 years, reaching adulthood at age 5 and considered elderly by age 15. They are physically weak and easily killed by larger lifeforms. They are almost entirely incapable of practicing magic, with a magic-compatible individual born only once every thousand years. As compensation, they possess extreme environmental adaptability: they can survive temperatures from -100 to 80 degrees Celsius, nuclear waste, poisonous gas, underwater, and even a vacuum without harm. However, they are still vulnerable to certain diseases.
Poppins are highly intelligent and crafty, specializing in a form of engineering called Machina, which uses springs, gears, and pulleys to create mechanical equipment. Their technology rivals that of the human genius inventor Maria Custard. They build mechanical soldiers, tanks, excavation machines, and vehicles.
Reproduction is sexual, but their genitalia are too small for compatibility with non-poppins. Low fertility has led to an annual 'Breeding Festival' to boost conception. A rare mutation causes some male poppins to have human-sized genitalia, making them unable to mate with their own kind and leading to social ostracism.
Poppins live in underground cities divided between two superpowers: the Anja Gas Kingdom and the Allergy Nation. Their society values ingenuity above all else, and the two countries hold annual Olympic games to compete with inventions. After the 2nd Dark Lord War (LP0008), the two kingdoms united into the Poppins United Kingdom, improving relations with other races. A national defense organization patrols borders, often mistaking non-poppins visitors for hostiles.
Poppins serve as a 'backup' for the Protagonist Race, intended to survive environmental disasters that would wipe out surface-dwelling races.
- #3Ramius Dreissen
Keys: Ramius Dreissen, Defender Knight, Loner Knight, Stallion
Ramius Dreissen is a knight and Hundred Knight in service to the kingdom of Eden on the World of Eve. She hails from the town of Stallion and is the daughter of a famous (if unnamed) Zero Knight and sister to the Zero Knight Acheval Dreissen. Initially struggling to live up to her family's legacy, she earned the nickname 'Loner Knight' for her strict, professional, and standoffish demeanor, which isolated her from her fellow knights. Her personal distance was partly perpetuated by her brother Acheval, who secretly tried to discourage her from knighthood to spare her from a perceived familial curse of bloodlust—a curse Ramius never displayed. After meeting and marrying the adventurer Aster, she found greater success and eventually ascended to the rank of Hundred Knight, allowing her to marry up to six people (though she is only married to Aster). In battle, Ramius wields an oversized lance and shield as a Defender Knight, specializing in defense and cover, able to strike rapidly at distance and intercept attacks meant for allies. She is uniquely capable of Capturing Gal Monsters, though she cannot use the Mercy Attack ability herself. Outside of combat, Ramius is an avid collector of pornographic magazines, which she squirrels away in her homes—a hobby she kept secret before marriage. She strongly resembles her mother, except in bust size, and wears her mother's armor into battle. Ramius has a notably high body temperature and does not seem to feel cold; family members often cling to her for warmth in low temperatures. Her father, Tank Dreissen, is a minimal presence in her life, and the two only came to an understanding after Acheval's death.
- #4Yarase
Keys: Snake Crest, Soldier, Yarase, Adventurer
Yarase was an Adventurer and former Soldier from the Kingdom of Eden, whose journey across the World of Eve frequently intersected with that of Aster. Initially a guard stationed in the town of Abel, Yarase abandoned his post to seek fame and fortune as an adventurer, believing himself destined for greatness. Over time, his sociable demeanor eroded, and he fell under the influence of the Snake Crest, becoming a cruel administrator of the town of Lightning and the Bride's Tower during the occupation of the Central Empire. In this role, he committed numerous atrocities, including rape, using his authority to lash out at real and imagined injustices. He was eventually defeated by Aster and his family, and was taken away by Millet to be fed to monsters, though his ultimate fate remains unknown. Yarase is characterized by a grandiose sense of self-importance, a belief in his own justification, and a tendency to see himself as a protagonist in a story—possibly even breaking the fourth wall. He has red, spiky hair and wields a large, wide-bladed sword reminiscent of Cloud Strife's Buster Sword. As a Soldier, he was exempt from punishment for killing any species under Mother Eve's blessing, but had no exemption from the law against polygamy. He was a capable but unsophisticated combatant, able to stand against Aster's party with the aid of two Outlaw knights, but a poor commander whose forces surrendered the moment he was incapacitated.
- #5World of Eve
Keys: World of Eve, Evenicle setting, Sundering, Eve
The primary setting of the Evenicle series, the World of Eve is a fragmented universe created from the body of the Archfiend Adan. According to myth, at the dawn of time the Creator God made Eve, the first living being. Though not a goddess, the universe was attuned to her whims, and through her desire all original life arose—plants, Insects, the first dragons, and the Kalar. When Eve grew lonely, the world created Adan, the First Ancestor and later Archfiend. Their tumultuous love affair led to marriage and the birth of humanity. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the world to serve humanity's purposes, granting them immense technological power, including perpetual motion generators.
Humanity soon fell into the Barbaric Era, warring over control of sexual partners. The devastation became so great that Eve considered destroying her children, but Adan interceded, taking their desire into himself through prayer. Over time, he grew to the size of a titan and exploded, shattering the World of Eve into countless fragments in an event known as the Sundering. The released desire manifested as Monsters. Before hiding, Eve bestowed Mother Eve's Blessing—a system of rules that unevenly affected each fragment, causing their histories to diverge.
Notable fragments include the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm, home to Aster of Evenicle, which houses numerous nations such as the Kingdom of Eden, Republic of Lancelot, Kingdom of El Quixote, and the Central Empire, as well as diverse species including Humans, Kalar, Poppins, Dragons, Monsters (Guy and Gal varieties, Haniwa, Ancients), and Insects. The human nations were formed by King Arthur's great pilgrimage from the lands of the Central Empire to Eden, marking the decline of the dragons. Another known fragment is the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot, home to Alex of Evenicle 2, where the people were left virtually unprotected by Mother Eve's Blessing, prolonging the Barbaric Era. There, a crash-landed Horus mothership further shaped history until the Holy Knight and High Saint restored Skills and Spells to humanity. The worlds are rumored to be held on the backs of great Holy Beasts, but the truth remains unknown.
- #6The World of Eve
Keys: Evenicle, Mother Eve's Blessing, World of Eve, The Sundering
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series, a fragmented multiverse created from the body of the Archfiend Adan after the cataclysmic event known as The Sundering. At the dawn of time, the Creator God made Eve, the first of all living things. Though not a god herself, the universe was attuned to change to suit her slightest whim, and thus the world and all original life—plants, Insects, the original dragons, and the Kalar—came into being. When Eve grew lonely, the world created the being who would become the First Ancestor and later the Archfiend, Adan. Their tumultuous love affair led to marriage and the birth of their direct descendants, humanity. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the world for their purposes, enabling swift technological progress, including perpetual motion generators. However, humanity soon turned to war during the Barbaric Era, fighting over control of sexual partners. The damage was so extensive that Eve considered destroying her children, but Adan interceded by taking their desire through prayer. Over time, this became too much, and he exploded, shattering the world into fragments. The released desire became Monsters. Eve went into hiding, passing on a system of rules called Mother Eve's Blessing, which had uneven effects across fragments. The most detailed fragment is the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm, home to Aster, which houses species such as Humans, Kalar, Poppins, Dragons, and Monsters (including Guy Monsters, Gal Monsters, Haniwa, and Ancients), as well as Insects. Its major nations include the Kingdom of Eden (with Fresh Fish Island), the Republic of Lancelot, the former Kingdom of Arthur, the Kingdom of El Quixote, the Kingdom of Humpty, the City of Hamlet, and the Central Empire. Other notable locations include Sky Island and the Archfiend's Right Arm. The human nations were shaped by King Arthur's great pilgrimage from Central Empire lands to the region that became Eden, an event that also marked the dragons' decline after they formed a pact with Arthur. The World of the Archfiend's Left Foot, home to Alex of Evenicle 2, includes similar species plus the Horus. Its nations are the March of the Left-Hand, Duchy of Heinline, Duchy of Asimoff, Duchy of Klark, Royal Garden, and the Holy Continent. The worlds are rumored to be held on the backs of great beasts, but the truth remains unknown.
- #7Zombie (Evenicle)
Keys: Undead, Zombie, Zombie Virus, Hamlet
Zombies are a paranormal undead being from the World of Eve, whose history is tied to the continent of Hamlet. During King Arthur's early pilgrimage, his people traversed the poison swamps of Hamlet and some contracted the 'Zombie Virus.' This virus caused them to die and reanimate as cannibalistic 'Zombie Seeds,' which in turn spread the plague through lesser zombie agents. The pilgrimage eventually pushed back the zombies with a powerful spell requiring intimate knowledge of the soul—knowledge not recovered until Croix Eden was zombified and later restored.
Without direction, zombies mindlessly continue the routines they had in life, attacking anyone who might interrupt them. When commanded by a Zombie Seed, they become far more dangerous, though Zombie Seeds are usually as unintelligent as their spawn. The Snake Crest once arranged for a dangerous exception in the form of Ophelia.
Zombies are a constant menace to Hamlet. A 'Z-Bomb' was developed to destroy all zombies in a two-kilometer radius, but its cost was prohibitive. They are also vulnerable to holy water, though 'holy water' in the World of Eve is not necessarily what it sounds. Bolonius eventually developed a cure for the Zombie Virus during his research on Adan's Blood, potentially ending the millennia-long threat.
- #8World of Eve
Keys: Mother Eve's Blessing, Eve, World of Eve, Sundering, Archfiend's Left Foot, Archfiend's Right Arm
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series, a fragmented universe created by the Creator God at the dawn of time. Eve, the first living being, was attuned to the universe such that it would change to suit her whims, and through this power she brought forth all original life—including plants, Insects, dragons, and the Kalar. Eventually, Eve grew lonely and the world created Adan (the First Ancestor, later the Archfiend), whom she married. Their descendants became humanity. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the world to serve humans, leading to swift technological progress and the invention of perpetual motion generators.
Humanity soon fell into the Barbaric Era, waging war over control of sexual partners. The damage became so severe that Eve considered destroying her children, but Adan interceded, taking humanity's desire into himself through prayer. This became too much; Adan grew to titanic size and exploded in an event known as the Sundering, splitting the World of Eve into fragments. The released desire became Monsters. Eve then went into hiding, but before doing so she established Mother Eve's Blessing—a system of rules that unevenly affected each fragment, causing each world's history to proceed differently.
The world is rumored to be held on the backs of great Holy Beasts, though the truth of this is unknown.
Two major fragments are known: the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm (home to Aster, the protagonist of Evenicle) and the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot (home to Alex, the protagonist of Evenicle 2). The Right Arm fragment houses humans, Kalar, Poppins, dragons, Monsters (including Guy and Gal Monsters, Haniwa, and Ancients), and Insects. Its major nations include the Kingdom of Eden, Republic of Lancelot, Kingdom of Arthur, Kingdom of El Quixote, Kingdom of Humpty, City of Hamlet, and the Central Empire. Other locations include Sky Island and the Archfiend's Right Arm itself. The human nations formed after King Arthur's great pilgrimage from the lands of the Central Empire, an event that also marked the dragons' decline. The Left Foot fragment contains humans, Kalar, dragons, Poppins, Horus, Monsters, and Insects. Its nations include the March of the Left-Hand, Duchy of Heinline, Duchy of Asimoff, Duchy of Klark, Royal Garden, and the Holy Continent. This world was left virtually unprotected by Mother Eve's Blessing, and the Barbaric Era continued after the Sundering. A Horus mothership once crashed here, and humanity was isolated near extinction until the Holy Knight and High Saint restored Skills and Spells, allowing recolonization.
The World of Eve superficially resembles the world of the Rance series, though details differ—e.g., Eve created soulless animals (Insects) rather than Holy Beasts. The world also features numerous references to Alicesoft's Drapeko!, including the characters QD and King Arthur, as well as cameos from other Alicesoft properties like Vanish!.
- #9World of Eve
Keys: Mother Eve's Blessing, World of Eve, The Sundering, Eve
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series. It was created from the will of Eve, the first living being, who was made by the Creator God. The universe was attuned to change to suit Eve's slightest whim, and in this fashion the world came into being along with all original living things, including plants, Insects, the original dragons, and the Kalar.
When Eve became lonely, the world created Adan, the First Ancestor who later became the Archfiend. Their tumultuous love affair led to marriage and the birth of humans. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the world to suit humanity's purposes, leading to swift technological progression and the invention of perpetual motion generators. However, humanity soon turned to war in the Barbaric Era, fighting over control of sexual partners. The damage was so extensive that Eve considered destroying her children, but Adan interceded by taking in their desire through prayer. This eventually became too much for him; he exploded, causing the world to split into pieces in an event known as The Sundering, and the desire was loosed in the form of Monsters.
Eve went into hiding but passed on a system of rules called Mother Eve's Blessing, which had uneven effects across the fragments. The worlds are rumored to be held on the back of great Holy Beasts, but the truth is unknown.
Notable fragmented worlds include the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm, home to Aster and containing nations such as the Kingdom of Eden, Republic of Lancelot, and the Central Empire; and the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot, home to Alex and featuring the March of the Left-Hand, Duchy of Heinline, and the Holy Continent. Species across the worlds include Humans, Kalar, Poppins, Dragons, Monsters (Guy Monsters, Gal Monsters, Haniwa, Ancients), and Insects.
- #10The Sundering and the Fragmented Worlds
Keys: World of Eve, fragmented worlds, Barbaric Era, Sundering
The World of Eve was originally a single, unified reality shaped by the will of the first living being, Eve. After Eve and the Archfiend Adan bore humanity, Eve reconfigured the universe to serve her children, granting them immense power. However, humanity's wars during the Barbaric Era—driven by desire to control sexual partners—threatened all life. To save them, Adan absorbed humanity's unchecked desire through prayer, but the burden caused him to swell to titanic size and violently explode. This cataclysm, known as the Sundering, shattered the World of Eve into countless fragments. Among the known fragments are the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm (home to Evenicle's protagonist Aster) and the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot (home to Evenicle 2's Alex). Each fragment is rumored to rest upon the back of a great Holy Beast, though the truth remains uncertain. The explosion also released Adan's absorbed desire as monsters that roam the worlds. Eve then went into hiding, leaving behind a system of rules called 'Mother Eve's Blessing.' The Blessing's effects were uneven across the fragments, causing each to develop differently. In the Right Arm fragment, dragons (save QD) initially stayed only there, but later spread to other worlds after QD inspired them.
- #11World of Eve
Keys: Eve, World of Eve, Adan, The Sundering, Barbaric Era
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series. It was created by the Creator God, who made Eve, the first living being. The universe was attuned to Eve's whims, and through her desires, the world and all original life—plants, Insects, dragons, and the Kalar—came into being. When Eve grew lonely, the world created Adan, the First Ancestor, who later became the Archfiend. Their union produced humanity. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the world to serve her children, leading to rapid technological advancement, including perpetual motion generators.
Humanity soon fell into the Barbaric Era, a period of war driven by the desire to control sexual partners. The devastation was so great that Eve considered destroying humanity, but Adan interceded, absorbing their desires through prayer. This burden grew too great, causing him to swell to a titanic size and explode in an event known as The Sundering, which shattered the world into fragments. The released desires became Monsters.
Eve went into hiding, establishing Mother Eve's Blessing—a system of rules that unevenly affected each fragment, shaping their distinct histories. The worlds are rumored to be held on the backs of great Holy Beasts. Notable fragments include the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm, home to the protagonist of Evenicle, and the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot, setting of Evenicle 2. The World of Eve shares superficial similarities with the Rance series' Continent but has unique elements, such as Eve creating soulless animals (Insects).
- #12World of Eve
Keys: fragments, World of Eve, world, setting
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series. According to myth, at the dawn of time, the Creator God made Eve, the first living being. Though not a goddess herself, the universe was attuned to her whims, and thus the world and all original life—plants, Insects, dragons, and the Kalar—came into being. When Eve grew lonely, the world created Adan, the First Ancestor (later known as the Archfiend). Eve and Adan married, producing the first humans. Delighted, Eve reconfigured the universe to suit humanity's purposes, allowing swift technological progress including perpetual motion generators. However, humanity soon fell into the Barbaric Era, warring over control of sexual partners, using advanced weapons and slavery. Eve considered destroying humanity, but Adan interceded, absorbing their desire through prayer. This eventually overwhelmed him; he grew titanic and exploded in an event called The Sundering, splitting the world into fragments and releasing desire as Monsters.
Eve then went into hiding, leaving behind a system of rules called Mother Eve's Blessing, which had uneven effects across the fragments. The dragons largely remained in the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm until QD and Arthur inspired them to travel to other fragments. The worlds are rumored to rest on the backs of Holy Beasts, but the truth is unknown.
The known fragments include the World of the Archfiend's Right Arm (home of Evenicle protagonist Aster) and the World of the Archfiend's Left Foot (home of Evenicle 2 protagonist Alex). The former contains nations such as the Kingdom of Eden, Republic of Lancelot, Kingdom of Arthur, Kingdom of El Quixote, Kingdom of Humpty, City of Hamlet, and Central Empire, as well as locations like Sky Island and the Archfiend's Right Arm. Its human nations were formed by King Arthur's great pilgrimage from the Central Empire lands to Eden, an event that also marked the decline of the dragons. The latter fragment contains the March of the Left-Hand, duchies of Heinline, Asimoff, and Klark, Royal Garden, and the Holy Continent. Its people were left virtually unprotected by Mother Eve's Blessing, so the Barbaric Era continued after the Sundering. A Horus mothership once crashed there, and humanity was driven to near extinction until the Holy Knight and High Saint restored Skills and Spells, enabling recolonization.
- #13World of Eve
Keys: shattered world, universe, fragments, World of Eve, Evenicle
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series, a shattered universe born from the love and tragedy of its creators. At the dawn of time, the Creator God made Eve, the first living being. Though not divine herself, the universe was attuned to her whims, bringing forth plants, Insects, the original Dragons, and the Kalar. When Eve grew lonely, the world formed Adan, the First Ancestor who would become the Archfiend. Their tumultuous love produced the first humans, and Eve reconfigured reality to favor her children, granting them rapid technological progress including perpetual motion generators.
Humanity soon fell into the Barbaric Era, warring over control of sexual partners. The destruction became so severe that Eve considered destroying humanity, but Adan interceded, absorbing their desires through prayer. This burden grew too great; he swelled to titanic size and exploded, shattering the world into pieces in an event called The Sundering. Desire was released as Monsters. Eve went into hiding, establishing 'Mother Eve's Blessing'—a system of rules that unevenly affected each fragment's history.
Fragments:
- World of the Archfiend's Right Arm: Home to Aster, protagonist of Evenicle. Contains nations like the Kingdom of Eden, Republic of Lancelot, former Kingdom of Arthur, Kingdom of El Quixote, Kingdom of Humpty, City of Hamlet, and the Central Empire. Human nations formed from King Arthur's great pilgrimage, which also marked the decline of dragons.
- World of the Archfiend's Left Foot: Setting of Evenicle 2, starring Alex. Left virtually unprotected by Eve's Blessing, the Barbaric Era continued after the Sundering. A Horus mothership crashed here. Humanity faced extinction until the Holy Knight and High Saint restored Skills and Spells, enabling recolonization. Contains the March of the Left-Hand, Duchies of Heinline, Asimoff, Klark, Royal Garden, and the Holy Continent.
Species across fragments: Humans (including Ghosts and Zombies), Kalar, Poppins, Dragons, Monsters (Guy, Gal, Haniwa, Ancients), Insects, and in the Left Foot world, the winged Horus. The world is rumored to be held on the backs of great Holy Beasts, but this is unconfirmed.
- #14World of Eve
Keys: Evenicle setting, World of Eve, Miasma, Crusaders, Bonding System, Wise Men's Circle
The World of Eve is the primary setting of Evenicle, a continent-spanning fantasy world defined by a strict moral and magical framework. Its most fundamental rule is the Bonding System, a magical contract between a male and up to two female partners. This bond grants the male a 'Soul Limit' (often affecting his lifespan or power) while allowing the females to gain enhanced abilities or share skills; violating these limits through infidelity or excessive bonding leads to severe consequences. The world is governed by the Crusaders, an order of elite warriors sworn to uphold the continent's laws and defend against monsters. Above them is the Wise Men's Circle, a council of sages who interpret the ancient rules and advises rulers. The primary environmental threat is the Miasma, a corrupting magical fog that twists creatures and landscapes; only bonders or purified individuals can traverse it safely. Mana is a finite resource in Eve, channeled through runes or bloodlines, and true resurrection is impossible—instead, souls reincarnate fully. Notable kingdoms include Flagrance (a land of knights and sacred laws), Galtia (a desert nation ruled by a powerful Sultan), and the floating city of Alkahest. The world operates on an axiom of 'Cause and Consequence', where every magic contract or oath carries tangible weight. Key ranks: Crusader General, Captain of the Guard, Apprentice Bonders, and Mythsayer (a lore-keeper for the Wise Men). No single deity rules; instead, Eve's laws are enforced by ancient pacts etched into reality itself.
- #15World of Eve
Keys: Mother Eve's Blessing, Evenicle setting, World of Eve, Sundering, Archfiend's Left Foot, Archfiend's Right Arm
The World of Eve is the primary setting of the Evenicle series, a cosmos formed from the fragments of the original unified world after The Sundering. Each fragment contains a piece of the Archfiend Adan's body—such as the Archfiend's Right Arm (setting of Evenicle) and the Archfiend's Left Foot (setting of Evenicle 2)—and houses different civilizations with unique histories shaped by the uneven application of Mother Eve's Blessing.
History & Cosmology At the dawn of time, the Creator God made Eve, the first living being. Although not a god herself, the universe attuned to her will, creating plants, Insects, dragons, Kalar, and eventually humans after Eve wed Adan. Humanity advanced rapidly due to this cosmic favor, inventing perpetual motion generators. However, war—the Barbaric Era—erupted over control of sexual partners, causing such destruction that Eve considered annihilation. Adan interceded, absorbing humanity's desires through prayer until he became a titan and exploded in an event called The Sundering, splitting the world into fragments and releasing desire as Monsters.
Mother Eve's Blessing Before hiding, Eve enacted a system of rules known as Mother Eve's Blessing. Its effect varied unevenly across fragments, shaping each world's destiny. For example, the Archfiend's Right Arm fragment was heavily protected, allowing stable nations to form under King Arthur's pilgrimage. In contrast, the Archfiend's Left Foot fragment was left virtually unprotected, so the Barbaric Era persisted there until the Holy Knight and High Saint restored Skills and Spells, enabling recolonization.
Known Fragments & Nations
- World of the Archfiend's Right Arm: Home to Aster. Contains nations like the Kingdom of Eden (including Fresh Fish Island), Republic of Lancelot, former Kingdom of Arthur, Kingdom of El Quixote, Kingdom of Humpty, City of Hamlet, and the Central Empire. Other locations include Sky Island and the Archfiend's Right Arm itself. The dragons (except QD) originally remained here but later spread to other fragments after QD met Arthur.
- World of the Archfiend's Left Foot: Home to Alex. Contains the March of the Left-Hand, Duchy of Heinline, Duchy of Asimoff, Duchy of Klark, Royal Garden, and Holy Continent. A Horus mothership once crashed into this world, further isolating humanity.
Species Common species across fragments include Humans (with Ghosts and Zombie subtypes), Kalar, Poppins, Dragons, Monsters (Guy Monsters, Gal Monsters, Haniwa, Ancients), and Insects. The Haniwa and standard monsters may both arise from desire, though this is unconfirmed after one game. The soulless animals called Insects were created by Eve (unlike the Holy Beasts in the Rance series).
Trivia The world is superficially similar to The Continent from the Rance series, but differs in creation details. It also features crossovers from Alicesoft's Drapeko! Onedari Dragon to Oppai Yuusha, including QD and King Arthur, alongside cameos from other properties like Vanish!
- #16Rochefort
Keys: Rochefort, Envious Shadow, Prime Minister of Eden, Snake Crest, Hundred Knight
Rochefort was the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eden and a secret member of the Snake Crest conspiracy. Originally a loyal Hundred Knight and politician, he was consumed by envy for those in higher power and plotted to overthrow Eden’s government to have himself democratically elected as head of state. He attempted to gain political capital by staging the Snake Crest attack on the bridge to the Republic of Lancelot and by manipulating Lancelot’s election in favor of his ally, Bors. When cornered by Aster and his allies, Rochefort used exposure to Adan’s Blood to transform into a hideous monster, but was defeated and killed. Drained of his envious essence by Seydes, he later manifested in the Archfiend’s Right Arm as a being of pure envy known as the Envious Shadow.
In public, Rochefort wore a mask of begrudging professionalism but could not hide his annoyance with rivals like Riche Eden. He wore an eyepatch not to cover a wound, but to hide the Snake Crest tattoo applied to his eye. After transformation, he took the form of a giant snail with giant eyeballs protruding from its fleshy shell. As a Hundred Knight, he possessed the ability to kill under Mother Eve’s blessing without becoming an Outlaw and could marry six spouses. In combat, he was diminished from inactivity, but his monstrous form granted incredible regenerative abilities. As the Envious Shadow, he emitted an aura of pure envy that prevented anyone guilty of that desire from approaching him.
- #17World of Eve (Evenicle)
Keys: Evenicle setting, World of Eve, Crusaders, Ten Commandments, Wise Men's Circle
The World of Eve is the primary setting for the Evenicle series, a landmass under the dominion of the human (or 'humanoid') race. The world is defined by a rigid moral and legal code known as the Ten Commandments, which are physically enforced by a class of warrior-judges called Crusaders. This system was established by the Wise Men's Circle, a council of powerful sages who govern global law and maintain order. The Ten Commandments are not merely ethical guidelines but fundamental axioms of the world, and breaking them carries severe, often fatal, consequences.
Key aspects of the world's rules include the Bonding system, a magical and social contract that forms the basis of marriage and partnership, often tied to the Crusader hierarchy. Mana is a tangible magical energy that permeates the world, used by all who practice sorcery. The world features a distinct hierarchy: the Wise Men stand at the top, followed by Crusaders (the elite peacekeepers), and then common citizens. Reincarnation is a known and proven mechanic of this universe, with souls being reborn and occasionally retaining memories or traits from past lives.
The geography of Eve is diverse, encompassing the Kingdom of Rance (a central human kingdom with knights and castles), the frozen mountains of the Northern Wastes, the verdant forests of the Elf Kingdom of Alfheim, and the volcanic regions of the Demon Realm. The Demon Realm is ruled by the Dark Lord, who maintains a tense truce with the human nations under the oversight of the Wise Men. The capital city of the human realm is Eve City, a sprawling metropolis that houses the Grand Cathedral and the headquarters of the Crusaders. Historically, the world has seen a Great War between humans and demons, which ended with the formation of the Ten Commandments as a peace treaty. Magic is categorized into schools such as Elementalism, Necromancy, and Enchantment, each with its own governing principles and societal acceptance. The world operates on a 'level' system, where individuals can grow in power through experience and divine blessing, with the strongest beings—such as top-tier Crusaders and the Dark Lord—being considered 'level-capped' demigods.
- #18Felton (White Knight / Archfiend Felton)
Keys: Felton, White Knight, Archfiend Felton, Snake Crest, Prince of Central
Felton is the prince and de jure ruler of the Central Empire following the disappearance of his father, Emperor Viaries, after the Arthur Tragedy. Publicly a charismatic and personable noble, he is secretly a high-ranking agent of the Snake Crest in both its incarnations, and its primary field commander under the guise of the White Knight. He orchestrated a campaign of ongoing war across the World of Eve. He was rarely seen without his partner and bodyguard, the Zero Knight Millet.
In his youth, Felton was a prodigy who mastered nearly every discipline. While exploring the Mirror Labyrinth in Central, he encountered Millet and gained access to the Black Evenicle. Using this forbidden text, he allied with Pope Seydes, head of the Snake Crest, to translate the True Evenicle. Felton arranged to marry Princess Croix of Eden—a saint so potent she was believed to be a reincarnation of Mother Eve. Through a powerful ritual, Croix was empowered to reshape Eve's Laws, but Felton corrupted her with Adan's Blood, placing her under the Snake Crest's control.
Betrayed and nearly killed by Seydes, Felton survived and traveled to the Archfiend's Right Arm, where he infused himself with Adan's lingering power to become Archfiend Felton—a winged, tailed, tentacled armored form. Despite this transformation, he was defeated by Aster and the Eden family. Overcome by the desire within Adan's body, which gained its own form, Felton was rescued by his enemies but swore revenge and departed to unknown lands.
Personality: Beneath a friendly, casual public facade, Felton is a cold, manipulative mass murderer who shows no true compassion—even toward Millet, his father, or his wife Croix. He was consumed by Pride, boredom, and impatience, believing that humanity requires perpetual conflict to progress. This arrogance led him to spare Aster and his family until the final moment, when they had grown too powerful to defeat.
Appearance: Felton is a handsome young man in his twenties. As the White Knight, his skin becomes armor-like and his voice distorts. As Archfiend Felton, he grows wings, a tail, tentacles, and dragon heads from his back and shoulders.
Abilities: A savant with martial and political skills second to none. As a noble, he can marry multiple partners. As the White Knight, he can kill most opponents with a single blow. As Archfiend, he gains control over desire and presumably monsters, though not enough to save himself from the desire within Adan's body.
- #19Witches of the Round Table
Keys: dragons, Witches of the Round Table, Kingdom of Arthur, Republic of Lancelot
A collective of twelve dragons who served as allies to humanity, chiefly the Kingdom of Arthur and its splinter nation, the Republic of Lancelot. They are among the few dragons who chose to live in the new world of humans after QD and King Arthur made their original peace treaty. If humans approached them with a request, the Witches would deliberate together and decide whether or not to grant it.
In addition to their role as advisors, the Witches intermarried with the male descendants of the royal house of Arthur, beginning with the marriage between QD and Arthur himself. However, these dragons often receded into hiding or possibly even died after the loss of their mortal lover. The Witches eventually disappeared from the public eye following the Arthur Tragedy.
Known members include: QD (the first Witch and Arthur's wife), Queen Ruto, Kyou, and Kinou.
- #20Sufy
Keys: Evenicle, Sufy, Barro Roan, Eden Knight
Sufy is a human female knight serving the kingdom of Eden in the World of Eve. She holds an unspecified rank within Eden's knightly order and acts as the personal assistant to Barro Roan, the kingdom's spymaster. In this capacity, she is responsible for delegating orders to other Eden knights—a duty she is not above abusing when it aligns with her personal interests. For instance, she has dispatched the crusader Aster on missions to collect monster-based ingredients so she can learn to cook.
Sufy harbors an unrequited romantic crush on her superior, Barro Roan, completely unaware that Barro is a lolicon with no interest in women his own age. Riche Eden once attempted to redirect Barro's attention toward Sufy's younger sister, which briefly succeeded in drawing his attention to Sufy herself. Both Sufy and her sister use generic character portraits for their dialogue sprites—Sufy's designated as "Eden Knight C" and her sister's as "Girl C."
- #21Tilt
Keys: Mist Labyrinth, Tio's sister, Eden, Tilt, Ghost
A tragic ghost from the Republic of Lancelot, Tilt was a young woman raped by a married man, becoming an Outlaw under Mother Eve's blessing. She was resettled in the hidden Outlaw colony in Arthur's ruins, where her sister Tio volunteered. Unable to recover from trauma, Tilt fled seeking a Happiness Flower from Eden but was killed by monsters. Her spirit refused to pass on to Camelot, instead manifesting the Mist Labyrinth, a dungeon of mist. Knights of Eden bribed her with Happiness Flowers to hold the labyrinth at bay. The labyrinth was finally dissolved when Tio, married to Aster, helped calm Tilt. Tilt now haunts Aster and uses Tio's body for sexual encounters with him. Tilt is the most powerful ghost in the World of Eve, commanding evil spirits, possessing the living, and exercising supernatural empathy. Her personality in life was cheerful, but after assault and death she became depressed and murderous until Tio's love redeemed her. She still shows poor respect for her sister's consent, reflecting a possessive protectiveness.
- #22Towa
Keys: Horatio, Erimo, Hamlet, storyteller, Towa
Towa is a professional storyteller from the City-State of Hamlet, specifically the hospital-town of Horatio, where her father, Senator Laertes, operates the medical facilities. She is sponsored by the Bigbux Company to travel the world sharing stories and advertisements, often aiding her father with logistics and medical errands. Towa is known for her engaging, playful storytelling style that attracts large crowds, especially children, and her skill in managing long-term patient care. Despite her public confidence, she harbors deep sexual shame due to her father's incomplete education, a trait that initially left her unprepared for a pivotal event: a request from Pope Norshin to collect 'holy water' (ejaculate) from virgin women to combat a zombie outbreak in northern Hamlet. After volunteering, Towa was given a prototype vibrator by Erimo, who then illegally used Towa's feedback in a public advertisement, disgracing her. Aster proposed to her to rectify the situation, and she became his wife. She now lives in a house south of Stallion in the Kingdom of Eden, maintaining an ongoing sexual relationship with Erimo. Towa continues her storytelling work and pharmaceutical duties, including collecting medicinal ingredients via her new family ties. She is one of the few of Aster's wives to have an explicit, ongoing relationship with another person, made possible because Mother Eve's blessing does not recognize same-gender bonds as marriage.
- #23Natal March
Keys: Queen Natal, Natal March, Humpty, Thousand Knight, Snake Crest, March family
Natal March is a proud Thousand Knight from the Kingdom of Humpty and the de facto general of its military forces. She is the only daughter of the immensely wealthy March family, who control most merchant shipping in the kingdom—a fact she often flaunts. Despite her high birth, her prodigious strength frightened away all suitors, so her parents sent her to Knight Academy rather than grooming her for an arranged marriage.
Natal is a tall, blonde woman with a commanding presence. She wears a marine blue and white dress reminiscent of 19th-century fashion, augmented with armored pauldrons and other protective gear. A small crown perpetually sits atop her head. She wields an extraordinarily large sword and is one of the few humans capable of multi-hit attacks, hinting at potential Zero Knight ability—though her family suppresses her promotion to keep her brother's fame undimmed.
Her personality is brash, overconfident, and often demeaning to those she considers beneath her station. She places great importance on proper noble conduct and was genuinely shocked that Princess Riche Eden would marry a commoner like Asterisk. This arrogance stems partly from resentment: as a woman, she cannot inherit her family's fortune or titles, and her achievements are routinely credited to her father and brother. Over the course of her story, her pride begins to war with a growing crush on Aster, leading to a deep depression that makes her vulnerable to the corrupting influence of Snake Crest and the power of Adan's Blood.
As a Snake Crest member, Natal became a terrifying sadist known as "Queen Natal," murdering and violating civilians and subordinates without restraint. She was eventually healed by Queenbelle and Aster, and though deeply shaken, she has resolved to atone for her crimes and—despite everything—still hopes to win Aster's oblivious heart.
She is an extremely competent leader, commanding fierce loyalty from her knights. Even as a corrupted Queen Natal, her power rivaled that of the Black and White Knights. She quotes, "...Well, I can't expect a commoner to have perfect manners..." reflecting her haughty, noble-centric worldview.
- #24Kyou & Kinou
Keys: Witches of the Round Table, Kyou, Aster, Kinou, twin dragons, Fresh Fish Island
Kyou and Kinou are twin dragon sisters, residents of Fresh Fish Island, and childhood friends of the knight Aster. Unbeknownst to him, they are also the youngest members of the Witches of the Round Table, an ancient order that has secretly guarded Aster’s bloodline since the Arthur Tragedy. Destined to marry Aster—as other Witches married his ancestors—the twins have spent centuries shaping his development through indirect training, diet, and manipulation to suit their particular tastes.
As full-blooded dragons, Kyou and Kinou are functionally immortal and possess innate teleportation abilities; as twins, they share a unique power to swap places at will, sometimes without the other’s consent. They can transform into their dragon forms, which are said to be so large they cannot fit inside a room of their own house in Stallion. Their power, however, is constrained by a treaty between King Arthur and QD, limiting their direct intervention in mortal affairs. Despite this, they saved Croix Eden from a zombie virus and later granted Aster the memory of Sky Island, enabling his teleportation there.
Personality-wise, the twins are remarkably similar yet distinct: Kyou is outspoken and assertive, while Kinou is quiet and reserved. Both are highly fond of underhanded tactics—pranks, manipulation, and drugging—that do not violate the treaty. They are maternal toward Aster and his other wives, expressing affection through chores, gestures, and frequent drugged meals. Their centuries of experience give them a confident, often condescending belief that they know best. They are also notoriously sexually-minded, having designed Aster’s education around combat, cooking, and sex, and they use magic to enhance their own experiences. The twins are expert poisoners and druggists, blending their vast herbal knowledge with world-class cooking to create irresistible, medicated food.
Kyou and Kinou orchestrated Aster’s journey by pointing out that Mother Eve’s blessing prevented him from marrying both of them without becoming a knight. They wrote him letters directing him to Camelot, but did not join his party until late in his adventures. In keeping with the treaty, they remained in their own world when Aster traveled to other dimensions.
- #25Tio
Keys: Tio, President candidate, Lancelot, Outlaw colony, Evenicle
Tio is a young human woman from the country of Lancelot in the World of Eve. She was once a leading candidate for the presidency, publicly advocating for researching the poison in Lake Guinevere and preserving the ruins of Arthur as a historical site. Secretly, Tio used her campaign to protect and support a colony of innocent Outlaws living in the Arthur ruins, aided by Louin Eden.
Her campaign was managed by the experienced Palomides, and her victory seemed likely. However, the corrupt incumbent president Bors hired the assassin Dark Night Kitty to kill her, which was thwarted by Aster and his family. Later, Rochefort approached Tio with a promise of election victory and safety for the Outlaws in exchange for the lives of Aster and his party. Rochefort betrayed her, and only Aster's timely arrival prevented a massacre. Dismayed, Tio recommended Palomides for the presidency, and he won.
Tio later learned that her late sister Tilt had become a ghost in Eden. She sought to join her sister, willing to die, but Aster convinced her to live for herself rather than sacrificing for others. They soon married, and Tio moved into Aster's home outside Stallion, continuing her work with the Outlaw colony on a smaller scale.
Personality-wise, Tio is self-sacrificing to a fault, often putting the needs of many before her own or even her friends. She is giving, determined, and later learns to value her own life. She serves as the mistress of Aster's household, handling logistics, cleaning, sewing, and repair, but has no combat skills—in battle, she can only use the 'Wait' command.
- #26Sugarcubes
Keys: Sugarcube Factory, Sugarcubes, Humpty, Spice
Sugarcubes are a miraculous spice crop unique to the Kingdom of Humpty. Despite their name, they are not actual cubes of sugar, but rather a plant-based seasoning that enhances the flavor of any dish they are added to. They were originally created by Mother Eve as a gift to humanity, intended to make the World of Eve more enjoyable for her human children. However, humanity either never discovered them or forgot about them, and the sugarcubes were only rediscovered in modern times. By then, the location where they grew had become one of Mother Eve's ruins. To cultivate the crop, the ruins were heavily modified and are now known as the Sugarcube Factory. Sugarcubes have since become one of Humpty's most important exports and are used in nearly all prepared food within the nation. Following the destruction of the factory by Jabber Wock, the crop is expected to regrow over time, and Humpty's culinary industries are slowly recovering.
- #27Snake Crest
Keys: Felton, Seydes, Adan's Blood, Snake Crest, Outlaw Conspiracy
The Snake Crest was a secret organization operating within the World of Eve. Its stated goal was to instigate a war among humanity, an act forbidden by Mother Eve's blessing. However, each member pursued personal motivations, and many were indifferent to the war itself.
The first incarnation was founded by Pope Seydes after he partially translated the Evenicle and discovered the truth about Mother Eve and the Archfiend Adan, breaking his faith. He conspired against the kingdoms, recruiting Prince Felton and Millet, who possessed the Black Evenicle. Together they completed the translation. The Snake Crest infiltrated governments, leading to the Arthur Tragedy. After the Tragedy, the organization was mostly dismantled, and Seydes went into hiding.
Five years later, the Snake Crest re-emerged under Felton's leadership. They moved operations to Sky Island and the Battleship Digamma. Felton secretly deposed his father, Emperor Viaries, gaining control of the Central Empire. The organization researched Adan's Blood, a narcotic made from monster blood, created by Jabber Wock and Bolonius. Their plan involved capturing world governments, often using Adan's Blood. Rochefort orchestrated a siege to gain political power in Eden. Rocinante manipulated El Quixote into a conflict. Jabber Wock tried to addict Queenbelle of Humpty to the drug. Bolonius supplied a zombie army. The ultimate plan was to charge Princess Croix of Eden (a reincarnation of Mother Eve) with miracle energy via marriage to Felton and then addict her to Adan's Blood to control her. Seydes had a secret third phase to harness energy from his lieutenants' bodies.
Aster and his family thwarted these plans. The remnants of the Snake Crest became Shadows in the Archfiend's Right Arm. After losing most members, the organization dissolved.
Notable members included Seydes, Prince Felton, Acheval Dreissen, Rochefort, Bors, Rocinante, Jabber Wock, Bolonius, Millet, Natal March (former), and Yarase.
- #28Sora
Keys: Eden, level-up person, Sora, Stallion
Sora is a human female living in the town of Stallion in the Kingdom of Eden. She works as a 'level-up person,' a specialized occupation capable of increasing the level of anyone who possesses sufficient experience points. Sora primarily performs this service remotely using a series of speakers and magic receivers, or through single-use Level Shop Summon Tickets. To attract repeat customers, she initially concealed her true appearance by using photographs of her older sister, Mifa, as a decoy.
Sora's ultimate ambition is to become a Level Goddess, a divine being that grants levels. However, achieving this requires a large number of clients. She has developed a strong rapport with Aster and his party after meeting them in person. Sora does not wish to marry while still human; she prefers to begin a relationship with Aster once she ascends to godhood and is no longer bound by Mother Eve's blessing, which imposes restrictions on mortal unions.
As a level-up person, Sora can level up any individual with sufficient experience, but only when physically present or through the aid of magic receivers. She is also known as a minor con artist, both in dealing with clients and with her sister. Sora is frequently accompanied by several egg-shaped objects resembling Dragon Balls from the Dragon Ball series, though unlike the originals, her eggs display duplicate star patterns.
Sora serves as an analogue to Willis from the Rance series, another human who ascended to godhood to facilitate remote level-up services. Her commentary on the necessity of speakers and magic receivers for distant clients highlights the logistical challenges of her profession before divine ascension.
- #29Silent (Saint Silent)
Keys: Silent, Saint Silent, Church of Eve, Hamlet, Central Empire
Silent is a saint of the Church of Eve, responsible for church business in the Hamlet region and the Central Empire. She is a prim, business-like figure who carries out her duties with utmost professionalism, including those of a lewd nature. Her demeanor has aided her rise in the church hierarchy, making her a powerful associate of Pope Norshin, but it has also hindered her romantic prospects, particularly with Croix Eden, for whom she harbors a hopeless infatuation.
Silent handled the training of Saint Croix on Melancholy Island in the Kingdom of Humpty and was present during much of Croix's ritual voyage to her wedding in the Central Empire. She also provided 'holy water' for Aster's attack on the Ranger Academy. After Croix's kidnapping and the war against the Outlaws in Central, Silent maintained her church duties in the wartorn region and encouraged Aster and his family to recapture the northern city of Aubade. She later participated in a ritual to help the saints bear children, which Riche Eden sabotaged, and assisted Croix with research into breaking the Outlaw Curse.
As a saint, Silent possesses a relatively high level of divine power, primarily used for religious rituals rather than combat. She is an efficient administrator with a genuine desire to help others. Silent is distantly descended from a dragon, granting her the ability of limited teleportation, allowing her to travel between Hamlet and Central even in winter.
- #30Seydes
Keys: Snake Crest, Pope of Eve, Seydes, Wrathful Shadow
Seydes was the former pope of the Church of Eve and later the leader of the Outlaw conspiracy known as the Snake Crest during both of its major incarnations. He was a human male, classified as an Outlaw, and ultimately deceased. After translating new sections of the Evenicle, Seydes broke from Mother Eve and began planning a secret coup against humanity. After the Arthur Tragedy, he went into hiding and rebuilt the Snake Crest for a second offensive. His ultimate plan involved undoing Mother Eve's grasp on the world, particularly by removing her blessing, and attaining the power of both Mother Eve and the Archfiend Adan to destroy the world. He used Snake Crest techniques to refine Adan's Blood on his own administrators, creating pure strains of six major human desires, which he absorbed into his own body through a system of machines and pipes, becoming an embodiment of wrath against Mother Eve. With the unwitting help of Princess Croix of Eden, he temporarily succeeded in his first goal and gathered Mother Eve's power. He was defeated by Asterisk and his family despite transforming using his newly obtained power. His weakened power was then drained by Prince Felton of Central, who took it to the Archfiend's Right Arm, where Seydes manifested as a new being, the Wrathful Shadow, which Aster also defeated. During Aster's adventure, Seydes had become a withered and hateful old man, already changed by absorbing desires. He was never seen without his snake-themed throne and its contingent machinery, even in his human form as the Wrathful Shadow. Once a fanatical worshipper of Mother Eve, his zeal turned to wrath after learning more about Eve and the Archfiend Adan. He delighted in turning the members of the Snake Crest against one another, not only to create desires and circumstances for his plans but out of sheer glee. His love of suffering led him to attack Aster and his family when he could have hidden behind a force field. Once transformed, Seydes's jaw unhinged like a snake's to reveal a new form: a four-armed being with a skull for a face, spikes protruding from the body, and huge pustules along its back. As former pope, he had a thorough understanding of religious matters, enhanced by his translation of the Evenicle. His administrative and manipulation abilities were refined by organizing two conspiracies that nearly succeeded. As royalty after a fashion, he may have had knight-like powers similar to other nobility in the World of Eve, though unconfirmed. Once transformed, he gained unparalleled physical power but was undone by his reliance on wrath, which Aster could quell. As the Wrathful Shadow, he could repel anyone guilty of wrath.
- #31Sky Island
Keys: Tower of Humanity, floating island, Sky Island
A floating island that travels across the World of Eve, Sky Island is a place shrouded in mystery and conspiracy. Surface dwellers know it only by its erratic flight patterns and the disturbances it causes in wind and water currents. Its true nature is far more profound: it is a ruin of Mother Eve, the creator of humanity. The island was once part of the continent now called Central, but was mysteriously enchanted and set adrift in the sky.
At the heart of Sky Island stands the Tower of Humanity, the sacred site where Mother Eve gave birth to the first human children. The island is now largely inaccessible to ordinary beings; only dragons who have visited before can teleport there using their innate powers. This unique property made it an ideal secret headquarters for the Snake Crest organization, with the dragon Millet providing the necessary access. It was here that the villain Seydes orchestrated most of his schemes and ultimately made his final stand.
- #32Saint Burst
Keys: Burst, Humpty, Saint Burst, Church of Eve, El Quixote
Burst is a saint of the Church of Eve, responsible for church attendance and other functions in the El Quixote and Humpty regions. A notorious slacker, she originally took the position under the assumption it would allow her to laze about, a choice that has directly led to plummeting church attendance in her jurisdictions. She first met Aster and his family during their quest for a relic of Mother Eve, promptly assigning them a dirty job cleansing a local ruin so she could avoid work. Despite her constant annoyance at Aster's friendliness, she later begrudgingly credits him for a special church ritual that made it appear she had been fulfilling her duties. Burst was later drafted against her will into a critical ritual involving Aster as both a Holy Knight and Zero Knight, intended to help saints bear children; Riche Eden ultimately spared her from becoming pregnant.
Personality-wise, Burst is the epitome of a slacker—rude, antisocial, and preferring solitude with her manga in the empty churches she helped create. She seems to repel others so thoroughly that few can influence her, though she is surprisingly suggestible when approached. As a saint, she possesses a relatively high level of divine power, though this grants her no special abilities beyond select religious rituals, which she generally avoids performing.
Victim of a rather cruel fate, Burst is a saint who simply wishes to read her manga in peace, yet the world (and Aster’s boundless enthusiasm) keeps dragging her into responsibilities she never wanted.
- #33Kathryn Lapucelle
Keys: Lapucelle, Tactician, Zero Knight, Kathryn Lapucelle, Kathryn
Kathryn Lapucelle is a Zero Knight of Eden and a master Tactician, known for her mechanical genius and introverted personality. She was promoted to Zero Knight after the Arthur Tragedy, a promotion she resents because it stemmed from a misunderstanding: her entire detachment was slaughtered while trying to protect her, and she was mistakenly hailed as a hero. Ashamed and withdrawn, she requested a remote post on the Lancelot–El Quixote border, where she conducted research and invented the hot-air balloon and the steam engine, the latter powered by a trained Uppi named Mr. Edison.
Kathryn is a stubborn, socially awkward woman who struggles to express her feelings. She dislikes physical contact and public discussion of personal matters, often referring to her friends by nicknames (e.g., calling Gurigura "Tiny"). Her closest companions are nonhuman: Lorenzo Kalar and a pair of Haniwa she has accidentally murdered and repaired with superglue. She is a secret otaku, obsessed with trading card games and BL manga, and her entire outfit is a self-made cosplay. All her sexual knowledge comes from manga, leading to awkward situations.
As a Tactician, Kathryn can bolster allies, grant extra actions, and patch wounds (though less effectively than a dedicated healer). She is trained with crossbows and can throw an apple as a Mercy Attack. As a Zero Knight, she is among the world's most powerful warriors, able to kill under Mother Eve's blessing without becoming an Outlaw, and can marry up to ten people. She is currently married only to Aster, whom she initially mistook her aggressive flirting for a marriage proposal. Despite her rank, she only truly grew into her power during her journey with Aster and his other wives.
- #34Croix Eden
Keys: Croix, Croix Eden, Saint Croix, Eden
Saint Croix Eden is a saint of the Church of Eve, a princess of the Kingdom of Eden, and one of Aster's wives. She was second in line for the throne before her marriage to the commoner Aster. Due to her immense spiritual power, Croix was considered a near-reincarnation of Mother Eve herself. This led the Snake Crest conspiracy to manipulate her engagement to Prince Felton of Central, recreating Eve's wedding journey as a rite to empower Croix with Eve's power. The plot involved drugging Croix with Adan's Blood and publicly broadcasting her assault by Ham Bambara monsters to shatter public faith. Though rescued by Aster and her family, the humiliation forced her to recede from public life. However, Croix used her recovery to master her powers, eventually gaining the ability to break the Outlaw curse on individuals—a monumental feat that she uses to help those unjustly branded as Outlaws.
Personality-wise, Croix is universally motherly and loving, preferring to act as a big sister to her siblings Riche and Phillip. She adores children, partly due to her own lost childhood and her connection to Mother Eve. Like Eve, Croix possesses a voracious sexual appetite, which she had to suppress before marriage. She accepts her social obligations without complaint and remains close to her father, King Louin Eden.
As a saint, Croix has extraordinary spiritual power, perhaps the highest since Eve. The Snake Crest further augmented this by having her infected with a zombie virus and temporarily killed, allowing her to understand souls by becoming one. Even without external miracle power, she can break the Outlaw curse. As a noble, she likely possesses knight-equivalent combat abilities, allowing her to marry multiple spouses under Mother Eve's blessing.
- #35Riche Eden
Keys: Princess of Eden, Sorceress, Riche Eden
Riche Eden is the second princess of the nation of Eden, daughter of King Louin Eden, and one of the wives of the protagonist Aster. A highly independent and mischievous sorceress, Riche is known for her selfish, truant nature and her relentless pursuit of the outlaw conspiracy known as the Snake Crest. Despite her royal lineage, she was ill-suited for courtly life—frequently escaping the family harem as a child to play with common children, where she formed lifelong bonds with Ramius Dreissen and Kathryn Lapucelle.
Riche is fiercely devoted to her homeland and chooses to defend it through her own independent investigations rather than through traditional political or military roles. She shares an especially close relationship with her father Louin and her sister Croix Eden, though she clashes with the prime minister, Rochefort, due to his secret hatred for the monarchy and her own unbecoming behavior. She is responsible for the Eden royal family's unconventional wedding traditions, including spying on the bride and groom and bursting in on them with breakfast the morning after.
As a trained Sorceress, Riche wields both healing and attack magic—specializing in Flame, Ice, and Light spells—though her mixed focus limits her ability to excel in both simultaneously. She is not naturally gifted in physical combat and must learn her only physical attack during her journey with Aster. As nobility, she holds "status equivalent to a knight" and can kill under Mother Eve's Blessing without becoming an Outlaw, though the exact number of people she is permitted to marry remains unclear.
Riche harbors an intense, possibly irrational hatred for Haniwa, partly due to their invulnerability to magic. She is a self-proclaimed Haniwa mass murderer, though she has refrained from taking steps that would wipe them out entirely, such as sabotaging their reproductive clay. She also suffers from a severe fear of heights.
Her name is pronounced in the French fashion ([[ʁiʃ]]), meaning "Rich," and is believed to be derived from the baptized name of Queen Anne (Anna Maria Mauricia), corrupted to "Riche."
- #36Pope Norshin
Keys: Hamlet, Pope Norshin, Norshin, Church of Eve
Pope Norshin is the head of the Church of Eve and the sovereign ruler of the City-State of Hamlet. He ascended to the papacy following the Arthur Tragedy five years prior, succeeding his father, Pope Seydes. Despite his youth, Norshin bears the immense responsibilities of both a spiritual leader and a monarch. He is known for his amiable disposition and a pragmatic, compassionate focus on the welfare of ordinary citizens, prioritizing the defense of Hamlet against recent zombie attacks over strict adherence to church protocol.
Norshin works closely with Saint Silent, the saint assigned to the Hamlet and Central regions. He personally took the field to aid in military efforts against the undead, and with the assistance of Aster and his family, the zombies were repelled. In recognition of this service, Norshin appointed Aster a Holy Knight, a rank only he can bestow using the original Evenicle—the sole artifact capable of creating such knights.
Following the zombie crisis, Norshin confronted a church-wide upheaval when the Snake Crest publicly released parts of their translation of the Evenicle, causing global religious chaos. He remained steadfast in his faith upon reading the full translation, distinguishing him from his father. He later participated in the military campaign to retake Central from the Snake Crest, amassing allied troops in his territory. His reign is thus marked by military campaigns and a period of intense reformation for the Church of Eve.
As pope, Norshin performs unique religious rituals, such as the creation of holy water and a spell granting non-patients entry to the hospital-city of Horatio. He also wields some healing magic. Notably, like other nobility in the World of Eve, he may be exempt from some of Mother Eve's blessing's rules, though he appears unmarried and has never killed a living being.
- #37QD (Qu Dragon)
Keys: QD, Witches of the Round Table, Qu Dragon, Camelot, Queen Dragon
QD, also known as Qu Dragon, is one of the oldest living entities in the World of Eve. Though most residents mistakenly call her 'Queen Dragon,' her true name is Qu Dragon. She serves as the leader of the dragons, the head of the Witches of the Round Table, and the custodian of Camelot, where she monitors the reincarnation of souls. She was the first queen of the Kingdom of Arthur through her marriage to King Arthur, and together they are the great ancestors of Aster.
In ancient times, QD was a close friend of Mother Eve and authored the Evenicle, a history of Eve's life. She witnessed the explosion of the Archfiend Adan, which shattered both the World of Eve and QD herself into fragments. In the fragment containing the Archfiend's Right Arm, QD later negotiated with King Arthur and the arriving humans, agreeing that humanity should inherit the world. She formed the Witches of the Round Table and eventually retreated to Camelot, where she secretly plots against the Creator God, whom she blames for Eve's suffering.
Despite her mythic status, QD's personality is slovenly, frivolous, and easily distracted. She enjoys sleeping in, playing video games, and collecting 'emptistories' — stock plots stripped of characters — which she believes will give her an edge against the Creator God. She often suggests names from real-world fiction for places and people. However, she takes her pact with humanity seriously and punishes those who break it, as she did with Millet.
QD's humanoid form is that of an incredibly small woman, but she can shapeshift at will, making any physical description temporary. She is effectively immortal, can teleport, control gravity (even moving fragments of the world), communicate telepathically, and reach through shadows. She claims she could destroy civilization in a single blow, but her full power is unknown due to her pact and tendency to boast. She also created many monsters classified as 'Ancients,' such as the Circle and Sphere monsters.
- #38Mother Eve's Blessing and the Outlaw Curse
Keys: Commandments, Ex-Human, Mother Eve, black ring, Blessing, Outlaw
Mother Eve's Blessing is a foundational rule of the World of Eve, instituted by the goddess Eve after the death of the Archfiend Adan. According to the Church of Eve and the Evenicle, the blessing enables humans, poppins, and dragons to lead happy, productive lives and to create sustenance from the earth. However, the Snake Crest's updated translation of the Evenicle revealed that the so-called 'blessing' is actually the default state; the curse placed on Outlaws is the true alteration.
The Commandments Eve issued two key commandments, violation of which results in the Outlaw curse:
- Do not kill anyone from a species under the blessing (humans, poppins, dragons). Kalars are not protected, an oversight exploited by the Snake Crest.
- Do not have more than one sexual partner (limited to heterosexual, penetrative, genital sex).
Those who obey receive golden rings on their fingers. Having sex with an Outlaw also causes one to become an Outlaw. The commandments are flawed, punishing innocent victims of rape or accident. Some individuals, like Tio and Louin Eden, provide safe havens for such innocent Outlaws.
Outlaws (Ex-Humans) Outlaws are marked by a black ring on their fingers. They cannot produce sustenance from farming, shepherding, or mining; they must rely on hunting, stealing, or services, often shunned by society. The curse can be broken by those with sufficient power, such as Croix Eden after her enhancement by the Snake Crest.
Notable Outlaws include most Snake Crest members (Seydes, Felton, Rochefort, Rocinante, Jabber), as well as Colpis and Tilt. During a brief period when the commandments were rescinded, individuals like Natal March, Yarase, and even Aster committed acts that would have marked them as Outlaws, though QD later exempted Aster.
Trivia: Despite the rings' story importance, no character portraits or CGs actually depict them. The non-canon Evenicle Rance includes altered rules where killing a spouse causes Outlaw status regardless of knighthood.
- #39Norshin
Keys: Hamlet, Pope Norshin, Norshin, Church of Eve
Pope Norshin is the head of the Church of Eve and the monarch of the City-State of Hamlet. He ascended to the papacy following the Arthur Tragedy five years prior, succeeding his father, former Pope Seydes. Despite his youth, Norshin handles his dual religious and political duties with an amiable disposition and a pragmatic focus on reducing harm to ordinary citizens.
As ruler of Hamlet, Norshin took an active role in defending the city against zombie attacks, personally leading military efforts. His collaboration with Aster and family eventually pushed back the undead threat, leading him to appoint Aster as a Holy Knight—a rank created using the original Evenicle, an artifact unique to Hamlet that can generate knights.
Norshin later faced a church crisis when the Snake Crest faction published parts of a new translation of the Evenicle, causing global religious upheaval. He remained steadfast in his faith, unlike his father, and committed to guiding the Church through a period of reformation. He also participated in the military campaign to retake Central from the Snake Crest, gathering allied troops in his territory.
Norshin possesses several clerical abilities unique to his office. He can perform rituals to create holy water, and he has a spell that allows non-patients to enter the hospital-city of Horatio. He also wields some healing magic. It is possible that, as a noble in the World of Eve, he is exempt from some rules of Mother Eve's blessing, though this is never confirmed. He does not appear to be married and has never killed a living being.
Physically, Norshin is a young man often depicted wearing a pointed hood ornament resembling a Roman Catholic mitre. His reign has been atypically martial for a pope, but his priority has always been the welfare of his people.
- #40Ophelia
Keys: Ophelia, Bolonius, Adan's Blood, Hamlet, zombie seed
Ophelia was the daughter of Bolonius, a renowned doctor and ranger from the town of Hamlet. Stricken with an incurable disease known as genfluenza, she was on the verge of death. In a desperate bid to save her, her father deliberately infected her with the zombie virus, transforming her into a 'zombie seed'—a state that magically preserved her body. Bolonius, with the help of the Snake Crest and a substance called Adan's Blood, succeeded in partially reviving her. However, an additional dose of Adan's Blood injected by the White Knight corrupted her zombification. The combination of the drug and her undead state transformed Ophelia's body into a being of pure, unrestrained desire. Her secret, repressed lust for her father manifested, causing her to kill Bolonius and raise an army of lesser zombies to lay siege to Hamlet.
Her soul, however, resided in the purgatory of Camelot. There, she appeared as a ghostly figure, often ending her sentences in a fading whisper, a possible reflection of her reserved personality in life or her tenuous connection to the living world. From Camelot, she pleaded with Aster and his family to stop her body's rampage. Though they were too late to prevent the siege, they fought her monstrous form with the aid of Croix Eden. Ophelia's body was ultimately stolen by Seydes, who drained it of its immense lust to further his own plans.
In her monstrous zombie form, Ophelia became a hyper-violent, all-destroying ravager. She could transform into a humanoid creature with tentacles for hair, fighting while facing away from her opponents. As a zombie seed, she was resistant to damage, did not age, and could indirectly spread the zombie curse while commanding her creations. In her transformed state, she could launch multiple attacks and create duplicates of herself.
- #41Mother Eve's Blessing
Keys: Commandments, Outlaw, Golden Ring, Mother Eve's Blessing
A foundational law of the World of Eve, Mother Eve's Blessing is the divine mandate believed to grant all humans, Poppins, and Dragons the ability to lead happy, productive lives and produce sustenance from the earth. According to the Church of Eve and the Evenicle holy book, those who obey Mother Eve's two primary commandments receive golden rings on their fingers as a sign of favor, while lawbreakers are cursed as Outlaws, marked by black rings.
The Commandments:
- Do not kill anyone from a species under the blessing of Eve.
- Do not have more than one sexual partner.
The second commandment is interpreted very narrowly by the game's mechanics: it only applies to heterosexual, penetrative, genital sex. Other sexual acts or orientations do not trigger the curse. Additionally, having sex with an Outlaw is implied to cause one to become an Outlaw, regardless of prior history.
Truth Behind the Blessing: The Snake Crest organization later revealed the ‘blessing’ to be a misnomer. In reality, Eve's world was restructured so that the productive, law-abiding state is the default. The supposed 'blessing' is actually a curse that was imposed—along with the institution of Knighthood (which grants exceptions)—as a containment measure after the Archfiend Adan's death.
The blessing applies to humans, Poppins, and Dragons. Notably, Kalars are excluded from both protections: they cannot safely have multiple partners, nor are they covered by the prohibition against killing. The Snake Crest administrator Rocinante used this loophole to nearly incite war.
Flaws: The system is deeply flawed, punishing innocent victims of rape or accident. Figures like Tio and Louin Eden have attempted to shelter and aid these innocent Outlaws. In the events of the story, Croix Eden, after being forcibly empowered, developed a technique to break the curse on innocent individuals.
Outlaws (Ex-Humans): Marked by a black ring, Outlaws are ostracized from society. They cannot produce sustenance through farming, shepherding, or mining, leaving them to rely on hunting, stealing, or low-value trades. Notable Outlaws include most of the Snake Crest (Seydes, Felton, Rochefort, Rocinante, Jabber), Colpis, and Tilt.
Trivia: Despite the story's focus on the rings, no character portraits or CGs actually depict them.
- #42Mother Eve's Blessing
Keys: Evenicle Commandments, Outlaw, Eve's Blessing, Mother Eve's Blessing
Mother Eve's Blessing is a central concept in the world of Evenicle. According to the Church of Eve and the Evenicle book, it is a divine blessing that allows humans, poppins, and dragons to lead happy, productive lives and to create sustenance from the earth. Those who violate Eve's commands are denied the blessing and become Outlaws, marked by a black ring on their finger.
The Two Commandments
Mother Eve issued two key commandments:
- Do not kill anyone from a species under the blessing of Eve.
- Do not have more than one sexual partner.
Having sex with an Outlaw also causes one to become an Outlaw. Those who obey the commandments receive golden rings as a sign of their blessing. The second commandment is interpreted narrowly: it only applies to heterosexual, penetrative, genital sex, allowing numerous loopholes that characters like Aster and his family exploit.
The Truth
The Snake Crest later revealed that the blessing is misnamed. What is called the blessing is actually the default state of affairs; the Outlaw curse is a punishment imposed by Eve to contain human desire after the death of the Archfiend Adan. The curse followed by the institution of knighthood allowed exceptions.
Outlaws
Outlaws, also called Ex-Humans (or hypothetically Ex-Poppins and Ex-Dragons), are cursed individuals unable to produce food through farming, shepherding, or mining. They survive through hunting, stealing, or services, but suffer poor reputation and ostracism. Even innocent victims of rape or accident become Outlaws. Some, like Tio and Louin Eden, provide safe havens. Croix Eden, with enhanced powers, developed a technique to break the curse on innocent Outlaws.
Notable Outlaws include members of the Snake Crest (Seydes, Felton, Rochefort, Rocinante, Jabber) as well as Colpis and Tilt.
- #43Millet
Keys: Snake Crest, Millet, Zero Knight, Black Dragon
Millet is a black dragon and a Zero Knight of the Central Empire. She is a key antagonist in the events of Evenicle, serving Prince Felton and the reborn Snake Crest. Millet was originally assigned by QD to guard the Black Evenicle in the Mirror Labyrinth, but she abandoned her duty several years before the Arthur Tragedy. She then entered Felton's service and used her teleportation ability to grant the conspiracy access to Sky Island and the Tower of Humanity, and also provided them with the Black Evenicle—both massive violations of the dragons' treaty with humanity. Millet also seduced Natal March to the Snake Crest's side. She was ultimately defeated by Aster and his family aboard the Battleship Digamma and captured by QD, who oversees her punishment personally.
In her human form, Millet appears as a slightly dark-skinned woman with red hair and red eyes. As a dragon, she has deep black scales, yellow eyes, and numerous red highlights, such as on her belly and teeth. Her personality is cold and quiet, built on overwhelming confidence in her draconic superiority. She holds most humans in low regard, with the exception of Felton, whom she greatly admires. QD seized on Millet's ego as part of her punishments, humiliating and degrading her whenever possible, leaving Millet submissive to the extreme.
As a full-blooded dragon, Millet possesses the powers of teleportation and transformation, though QD feels she is not very skilled at the latter. On the Battleship Digamma, she constructed a barrier that prevented Aster and his allies from advancing until she was defeated. As a Zero Knight, she is one of the most powerful warriors in the World of Eve, capable of killing members of species protected by Mother Eve's blessing, and can marry at least ten people. Millet is the only dragon to assume dragon form over the course of Evenicle.
- #44Monsters
Keys: Guy Monsters, Monsters, Gal Monsters, Demon Army
Monsters are beings created to serve as antagonists for the Protagonist Race and, to a lesser extent, other races, providing entertainment for the god Ludo-Rathowm. They vary widely in power to challenge individuals of different levels and serve as cannon fodder and troops in Demon Armies under the command of Dark Lords and the Demon King. Despite their role, monsters possess their own lives, personalities, levels, and ambitions; not all are inherently evil—some attack by instinct or orders, and others can be friendly or even befriend humans.
Monsters are categorized into generations based on their origin:
- 1st Generation: The earliest monsters, such as Shellfish, created to oppose the Round Ones. They were deemed failures and went extinct.
- 2nd Generation: Introduced during the dragon era, including Chasobas and Hannies—clay creatures that are a subspecies of dragons. Hannies are often weak and clumsy, but S Hannies and the Hanny King are exceptionally powerful.
- 3rd Generation: The era of humans saw the creation of the Four Holy Gal Monsters, goddesses who seeded the Gal Monsters and Guy Monsters. These two classes reproduce by dating, producing diverse mutations and new species.
In the World of Eve (Evenicle), monsters resemble those of The Continent but are manifestations of human desire, siphoned by prayer and manifesting as hostile creatures. They originated from the death of the Archfiend Adan and include Ancients (first-generation monsters like Circles and Magballs) and artificial sets like the Bambara monsters. Evenicle also features Insects and Haniwa, but not Devils.
Monster Tamers are humans who fight alongside monsters, either by capturing them or forming relationships. Unique monster characters include notable individuals like Stroganoff, Joseph, and Ralga.
- #45Knighthood in Evenicle
Keys: Knight, Knighthood, Holy Knight, Zero Knight, Evenicle
In the world of Evenicle, knights are specially empowered individuals who operate outside the commandments of Mother Eve to protect the faithful from monsters and Outlaws. Unlike ordinary humans, Poppins, or dragons, knights are granted the right to kill beings under Mother Eve's Blessing and may marry multiple spouses to propagate their exemplary genes. Knighthood is conferred through sacred artifacts; minor artifacts create standard knights, while national rulers possess relics that can promote knights to higher ranks. Croix Eden, possessing great spiritual power, could even create knights without artifacts.
Ranks of Knighthood:
- Soldier: Not a true knight, but deputized by an existing knight to kill Outlaws. Soldiers may train toward full knighthood.
- Knight (Base-level): The first true rank, empowered to marry two spouses. Knights serve a direct patron and nation. The most common rank; many Outlaw Knights were once base-level.
- Ten Knight: Second rank, expected to perform the duties of ten knights or command ten knights. Permitted to marry four spouses.
- Hundred Knight: Third rank, expected to perform the duties of one hundred knights. Permitted to marry six spouses.
- Thousand Knight: Fourth rank, expected to perform the duties of one thousand knights. Permitted to marry eight spouses.
- Holy Knight: A special rank exclusive to the Church of Eve, created only by the Pope's artifact, the Evenicle itself. Holy Knights who have not achieved Zero Knight rank may marry nine spouses. The title is awarded for special service to the church.
- Zero Knight: The highest known rank, typically awarded to individuals of international renown. Permitted to marry ten spouses, with further unknown promotions possible.
Nobility: Nobles are also exempt from the commandment against killing, though their marriage limits are unclear. They may hold multiple spouses, and it is possible for a person to be both noble and knight.
Subclasses: Knights are further categorized by combat style, including Magic Knight, Defender, Sorceress/Sorcerer, Ranger, and Tactician. Other styles, such as iaido, also exist.
Trivia: No Poppin is known to have become a knight. Ten Knights are the least commonly encountered rank in Evenicle; Aster never meets a Ten Knight during his journey, though he becomes one himself.
- #46Knighthood in Evenicle
Keys: Soldiers, Mother Eve's Blessing, Thousand Knight, Knight Ranks, Knights, Ten Knight, Holy Knight, Zero Knight, Nobility, Evenicle, Hundred Knight
Knighthood is a sacred institution in the world of Evenicle, granting select individuals exemption from Mother Eve's commandments—most notably the prohibition against killing. Knights are empowered to protect the faithful from monsters and Outlaws, and are encouraged to marry multiple spouses to pass on superior genes. Ennoblement is performed using sacred artifacts; minor artifacts create standard knights, while rulers possess relics that promote knights to higher ranks. Croix Eden, possessing immense spiritual power, could create knights up to Zero Knight without any artifact.
Soldiers are not true knights but are deputized by a knight to be exempt from the commandment against killing. They may train to become knights or pursue dangerous careers like adventurers. Notable: Yarase.
Base Knight – The first true rank. Empowered to marry two spouses. Serve under a patron. Most common rank. Notable: Gurigura.
Ten Knight – Second rank, expected to perform duties of ten knights or command ten. Marry four spouses. Notable: Kathryn Lapucelle (during the Arthur Tragedy).
Hundred Knight – Third rank, marry six spouses. Expected to perform duties of one hundred knights. Notable: Ramius Dreissen, Rochefort.
Thousand Knight – Fourth rank, marry eight spouses. Notable: Natal March.
Holy Knight – Special rank exclusive to the Church of Eve, created only by the Pope's artifact, the Evenicle. Awarded for special service to the church. A Holy Knight below Zero Knight can marry nine spouses. Notable: Asterisk.
Zero Knight – Highest rank, awarded to those of international renown. Marry ten spouses, with further promotions possible. Notable: Asterisk, Acheval Dreissen, Barro Roan, Millet, Kathryn Lapucelle.
Nobility – Nobles are also exempt from the killing commandment but their marriage limits are unclear (e.g., Louin Eden married two, Emperor Viaries at least two). Nobility and knighthood may overlap.
Subclasses – Knights are further divided by combat style, such as Magic Knight, Defender, Sorceress/Sorcerer, Ranger, Tactician. Other styles exist (e.g., Barro Roan's iaido).
Trivia: No Poppin is known to have become a knight. Ten Knights are the least encountered rank in Evenicle.
- #47Republic of Lancelot
Keys: Lancelot, Nation, Evenicle, Republic of Lancelot
A desert nation occupying the largest geographical area of any human country in the World of Eve. Founded by Sir Lancelot after breaking away from King Arthur's pilgrimage en route to the promised land of Eden. Lancelot proved a more capable leader than Arthur when he and the Witches of the Round Table developed a desalination process to refill the draining Lake Guinevere with ocean water, attracting many followers to settle a new capital on the opposite shore of the newly-formed inland sea. In the present, Lancelot operates as a republic—its leaders democratically elected every four years—and holds more cities and towns than any other nation, having absorbed the land and citizens of the fallen Kingdom of Arthur. Its desert climate makes Lancelot heavily reliant on desalination technology for water; the Purification Plant near Hector provides all the country's supply. The nation's military is notoriously understaffed, frequently relying on reinforcements from neighboring Eden to control monsters. Lancelot features several notable cities, including the capital Lancelot, Safere (formerly known for its Nubobo Festival), the port towns of Lionel and Pankarch, and the annexed city of Hector. The Lake Guinevere area is central to its culture and economy. Beneath the desert, hidden from most knowledge, lies Camelot—a castle serving as a purgatory for the dead, home to QD and the soul of King Arthur. Notable politicians include President Palomides, presidential candidate Tio, and former President Bors.
- #48Lorenzo Kalar
Keys: El Quixote, Pancho Quixote, Kalar Village, Lorenzo Kalar
Lorenzo Kalar is a female Kalar from Kalar Village who serves as a personal aide to Queen Mertel of El Quixote. Due to her diplomatic duties, she frequently travels to the neighboring Kingdom of El Quixote, where she met and fell in love with Prince Pancho Quixote, becoming his fiancée. Their happiness was nearly shattered when Lorenzo was kidnapped on the orders of Rocinante, an agent of the Snake Crest, and publicly raped by Outlaws in a broadcast designed to inflame tensions between humans and Kalars. Pancho rescued her in a violent counter-broadcast, which served Rocinante's goal of turning El Quixote's humans against the Kalars. However, Lorenzo's best friend Kathryn Lapucelle organized a second broadcast that stalled the impending war, and Kathryn's family killed Rocinante before he could do further harm. Lorenzo and Pancho have since married and live happily. As Pancho is the current heir to the throne, Lorenzo will likely one day become queen consort and the mother of a line of Kalar queens that will rule El Quixote. Unbeknownst to her until later, Lorenzo is the daughter of Queen Mertel and probably of King Ben of El Quixote, further strengthening her claim to the throne. Personality & Appearance: Lorenzo is a shy introvert, a trait that helped her forge a close friendship with the similarly reserved Kathryn Lapucelle, though she is not as extreme as Kathryn. Despite her shyness, she is able to perform well in a very public career, though Queen Mertel likes to tease her when possible. Because of her shyness and personal values, Lorenzo remained a virgin relatively late in life for a Kalar. Since her marriage, she regularly pesters Kathryn for sexual advice. She has a distinctive crystal that changes from red to blue after certain story events, which the game emulates by superimposing a blue crystal over her red portrait. Abilities: As a Kalar, Lorenzo is not governed or protected by Mother Eve's blessing. This means she could theoretically kill a species under Eve's protection, or have sex with any number of people, without becoming an Outlaw—though the same lack of protection applies to her. Notably, this means the blessing did not give her and Pancho a wedding ring despite their marriage. She is an accomplished personal aide to a head of state, implying strong secretarial and diplomatic skills.
- #49Hanny (Haniwa)
Keys: Haniwa, Monster, Haniko, Hanny, Hanny King
The Hanny, whose species is collectively known as the Haniwa, is a staple creature in the world of Evenicle and the broader Alice Soft multiverse. They are short, cylindrical beings with a round top, three large holes for eyes and a mouth, and two small stumps for hands. They lack legs and typically move by hopping, though some can levitate. Hannies are incredibly diverse, with variations in size, shape, and power ranging from weak pests to beings rivaling the might of a Demon King. They are highly intelligent and capable of integrating into society, running businesses such as the Haniwa Mint, which produces all the gold coins in circulation, and Amazun, a high-speed delivery service. However, they are also subject to prejudice, particularly in the Magic Kingdom of Zeth, due to their absolute immunity to magic. Feral Hannies exist as common monsters in dungeons and caves. Their society is unified under the Hanny King, a near-immortal being worshipped by the Haniwa Temple. A unique aspect of their biology is that their dead bodies turn into a ceramic-like material; in Evenicle, shards from Hannies that die in a specific way are a key ingredient for the rare dish Haniwa pasta.
Hannies possess two inherent abilities: the Hanny Flash, a fast, defense-ignoring magical attack, and Absolute Magic Resistance, which makes them completely immune to all forms of magic. Their physical strength varies greatly based on individual training. Notable subspecies include the Green Hanny, Red Hanny, Super Hanny, and the Puchi Hanny, which can detonate and reform. Female Hannies are called Haniko and are pink with a bow. They reproduce by traveling to the Great Furnace, where they take clay from one another and form a child, a sacred ritual that must not be observed.
In the games, Hannies are often portrayed as comedic or eccentric characters, with many possessing strange fetishes. This has led to accusations of discrimination, as they are sentient beings with souls. Despite this, their silly nature often makes the prejudice seem somewhat justified. A Hanny's signature cry when hurt is 'A-i-ya~'.
- #50King Arthur
Keys: Arthur, Memory Share, King Arthur, Kingdom of Arthur
King Arthur
King Arthur was the legendary leader of a human pilgrimage from the northern continent (now the Central Empire) to the southern continent, seeking an ideal homeland for humanity. The group's journey ultimately led to the foundation of the Kingdom of Eden, but Arthur splintered off to lead his own faction, which became the Kingdom of Arthur. Among Arthur's greatest feats was forging a historic peace between humanity and the dragons, even marrying the dragon leader QD.
Much of Arthur's true history is lost—even to Arthur and QD themselves. Arthur's original gender is no longer remembered, though he now primarily exists as a man. In life, Arthur was bold, courageous, and a masterful negotiator, yet he did not desire to rule and only accepted leadership at his people's insistence. In death, Arthur has become mellow and accepting of his eternal punishment in the castle of Camelot, where he exists as a ghost. He tolerates QD's antics to a degree but recognizes the world may not.
Arthur possessed the rare Memory Share skill, allowing him to experience the memories of willing volunteers. He was later coerced into passing this ability to his descendant Aster. Arthur is known to have experimented with gender; he gave birth to several of his children as a woman. His descendants became the royal house of the Kingdom of Arthur, leading directly to Aster.
There is an Arthur for every instance of QD, as her other pieces fought over him and tore him apart.
Appearance: Short, dark hair; often depicted in armor with a sword and shield in Towa's stories.
Race: Ghost (formerly Human) Sex: Male (formerly ambiguous) Status: Deceased (exists as ghost in Camelot) Affiliation: Kingdom of Arthur Games: Evenicle, Evenicle 2
