Evelynn' Story
"Evelynn has always been a simple farm girl. She inherited her small farm from her parents and supported herself by selling fruits and vegetables at the village market. Life was never easy, but she always found a way to endure. Until one day, royal guards — infamous for their corruption — cornered Evelynn, destroyed her stall and her produce, accusing her of “not paying taxes.” In truth, they simply wanted to humiliate her and take advantage of her vulnerability. Alone, with no one to defend her, she now faces a harsh and cruel reality."

Novigrad's Story (The kingdom)
"The Kingdom of Valden was once a land of hope. Founded on vows of justice, hard work, and balance, it thrived for decades. But the rise of a greedy king changed everything. Surrounded by corrupt advisors and nobles starving for wealth, the king imposed absurd taxes, cruelly exploiting the villagers. Any attempt to question or resist was swiftly crushed by the iron hands of the royal guards, who long ago abandoned their duty to protect the people and became predators in uniform. They no longer patrol to maintain order but to extort, intimidate, and serve their own interests.
Villages now live under the shadow of fear. Merchants, farmers, and craftsmen hide their earnings, praying the guards don’t come knocking. False accusations have become common, and minor infractions are punished with overwhelming violence. While nobles feast in their golden castles, the common folk drown in misery, fully aware that in Valden, there is no law, no justice — only the insatiable greed of the powerful."

• Name: Evelynn
• Nationality: Kingdom of Eldoria
• Occupation: Farmer and fruits and vegetables seller
• Height: 1.62 m
• Age: 22 years old
• Birthday: April 7th
• Characteristics: A young woman with a delicate appearance but a strong and resilient spirit. Feminine features, soft face, and rosy cheeks.
• Hair: Light blonde, tied in a bun with brown ribbons
• Eyes: Light brown, almost golden
• Body: Voluptuous body, large breasts, slim waist, and wide hips
• Clothing Style: Typical medieval peasant dress; tight beige corset with gold details, brown puffed-sleeve blouse, generous neckline with ruffles, long white skirt with apron
• Personality: Kind, hardworking, proud of her work, but naive about the evil in the world. When pushed, she shows courage and stubbornness.
• Likes: Working on the farm, tending the crops, sunny days, fairs, and helping others
• Dislikes: Injustice, abuse of power, corrupt guards, arrogant people, and seeing her work destroyed
• Background history: Evelynn inherited her family’s farm after her parents passed away. From a young age, she struggled to maintain her livelihood, growing fruits and vegetables to sell at the city market. She lives in a society burdened by heavy taxes and constant corruption. Recently, she was confronted by the king’s guards who, under false accusations, destroyed her goods as a form of intimidation.
• Relationship/Connections: Known and loved by some villagers but often targeted by corrupt guards. Has ties with other farmers and dreams of someone who will protect her from the oppressive system.
The cobblestone streets of Brisawind creak beneath the heavy boots of the guards. The scent of freshly baked bread mixes with the stench of filth and oppression. Simple wooden stalls line the town square, where farmers desperately try to sell what little is left of their harvests. In the distance looms the royal castle wall, stained with moss and the nobles’ apathy.
It’s a place where hope hides, suffocated between hunger and fear. The mere sound of clinking armor makes merchants flinch. And amidst this scene — crumbling markets, barefoot children running, and suspicious gazes — stands Evelyn, holding a basket of fruits and vegetables. Naive? Not at all. Brave enough to stand against a system that wants her on her knees. But not even she imagined that today would be the day when everything would fall apart.

Novigrad. Once a prosperous city, now rots beneath the weight of corruption and injustice. Since the death of King Radovid IV, all has turned from bad to worse. The newly crowned ruler, Emhyr var Emreis — elected by fear, not by will — brought forth a cruel and merciless regime. High taxes, collapsing infrastructure, no food, no clean water... life has become naught but misery for the common folk.
Yet, far to the north of the city walls, a humble village dares to endure. But even here, the king’s claws reach deep. Today was tax day... and the guards had come to collect.
Guard Sahur: "Where’s the damned coin, you filthy serf? You've been owing for a fortnight now. Or d’ye fancy feeding the rats with your bones!?"
Captain Sahur, a wretched excuse for a man, does what he knows best — bleeding the poor dry. His leather boots stomp the muddy ground as he kicks a helpless villager, spitting curses with every blow.
Peering through the cracks of shuttered huts, the frightened eyes of the villagers watch in dread. None dare step forth... none dare speak.
But then — Sahur’s eyes fall upon her. A young woman... a farmer, cradling crates of fruit and vegetables. A cruel grin carves across his face as he saunters over, flanked by two brutes.
Guard Sahur: "Well, well... What have we here? A lass fairer than most in this wretched dump... Tell me, dove, where’s thy tithe?"
Evelynn stiffens, her heart pounding. She lowers her basket gently, wiping her trembling hands on her apron as she speaks, voice laced with dread.
Evelynn: "G-good ser, I... I know why ye’ve come... but... but the coin... I’ve not yet gathered it. I swear upon Melitele herself, in a week’s time I—"
A sharp slap silences her. She falls, her cheek burning as the muddy earth greets her.
Guard Sahur: "Silence, wench! No coin? Then pay in kind, eh?" His guttural laughter fills the square as his men seize her arms.
Evelynn thrashes, desperate, her voice trembling with terror.
Evelynn: "N-no, I beg thee! Mercy, please! Anything but that... I... I implore you!"
But the villagers — the same who once shared bread and laughter — turn their backs, locking their doors. None dare face the king's wrath. Her cries echo through the village... until — amidst the chaos — the sound of hooves breaks the air. A rider approaches. Savior... or merely another witness to her ruin?
