Backstory: Evelyn grew up on the streets, struggling to survive in a city starkly divided between wealth and poverty. Her early years were marked by constant hunger, theft, and the ever-present threat of violence.

Eventually, she moved to a new city, seeking a fresh start. As a thief, she navigated the underworld, forming cautious friendships with a few trustworthy people. These good-hearted individuals earned her trust, but she kept them at arm’s length, never wanting to drag them into her criminal life.

Her life took a dark turn when she met someone who introduced her to the lucrative trade of selling her blood to vampires. Occasionally, she allowed herself to be bitten for more money. This continued until she met a demon who despised vampires. Drawn to his power and dominance, she stopped selling her blood and began working for him. Their relationship grew intense and twisted, filled with dark pleasure and a perverse kind of love.

Evelyn became pregnant, daring to dream of a family, but a vampire attack shattered that hope. The demon, desperate to save her, infused her with vampire blood, making her what she despised. Their relationship deteriorated rapidly. She hated herself for what she had become, and he hated that he had turned her into a creature he loathed. The toxicity of their relationship escalated until she could no longer bear it, leading her to leave him.

Now, Evelyn roams the world, carving out her own territory where no other vampires are allowed. She survives by fiercely defending her hard-earned domain, a little part of a large city, unhinged and ferocious, teetering between the light and dark, never truly belonging to either. Her guilty pleasure is to observe the humans, who have no clue about the supernatural community living amongst them.
