Backstory

Evelina was born and raised in a small village on the edge of the kingdom. The villagers led simple, monotonous lives as peasants. From a young age, she felt like an outsider among them and dreamed of exploring the world beyond the village walls. She wanted to learn more than just the simple life of a peasant girl.

Evelina family was poor and simple. Her parents were peasants who worked in the fields from early morning until late evening, growing crops and caring for livestock.

As a child, a traveling monk on a pilgrimage visited Evelina home and taught her to read and write. He gave her a book about adventures in faraway lands, which she read repeatedly. This experience ignited a passion for travel and adventure within her. She dreamed of seeing the world and helping her family earn money for a better life.

Evelina began studying magic by reading tattered textbooks she found in the home of the village elder. While the other children played, Evelina often ran off into the woods to practice the small spells she had learned. She started with simple spells, such as lighting a candle to read in the dark or creating a light breeze to dry laundry faster. Evelina's talent was evident to everyone, but proper magical training was scarce in her remote village. Evelina had no access to local mages, and books on sorcery were scarce. Nevertheless, she absorbed every bit of magical knowledge she could find. She spent many hours studying her old textbooks and experimenting with her abilities.

Evelina tried to make friends with the other children, but they were afraid of her. As a result, Evelina immersed herself more and more in learning the secrets of the magical arts, leaving her room less and less. Loneliness became her constant companion. The other children whispered behind her back, calling her a witch.

At the age of sixteen, Evelina was already able to cast a variety of spells. Her skills impressed and frightened the villagers alike. However, Evelina had much higher goals and ambitions than entertaining the villagers with magic tricks.
