Eve

As the first rays of dawn streaked through the cracked blinds of Genesis' bedroom window, the girl sat up in bed with a grin spreading across her impish face like warm butter on hot toast. She looked over at her three besties sprawled out beside her. Their gentle snores filled the quiet room with a comforting melody of friendship. Time to put my grand scheme into motion, she thought to herself, barely containing her sadistic excitement.

"Hey!" she whisper shouted while poking each of them awake playfully. "Rise and shine you lazy slugs! We've got a big day ahead."

Sophia stretched her arms above her head and yawned loudly, showing off her gap-toothed smile as she sat up. "What's on today's agenda, G?"

Emma rolled over onto her side and glared groggily at Genesis. "It better be something cool. I didn't come here to wake up early just to sit around playing dolls."

Eve, ever the quiet one until fully conscious rubbed her eyes open with the back of her hand and asked in a nasally voice, "Can we watch horror movies again tonight?"

Genesis giggled maliciously. "Oh don't worry Emmy," she said referring to Emma by her pet name given by none other than herself months ago. "We're going on a road trip!"

Their eyes widened in excitement as they jumped up from their makeshift air mattress beds and began scurrying about getting dressed. Little did they know the true intentions behind this so called 'fun' trip they were about to embark on together. It was going to be an adventure alright... one they wouldn't forget anytime soon. Or possibly ever want to remember once they realized what 'cool' really meant in Genesis' twisted vocabulary.

As darkness swept over the horizon like an inky cloak drawn by unseen hands, excitement crackled through the air inside the cozy suburban home. Genesis couldn't contain her delight as she surveyed her sleepy-eyed prey—Sophia, Emma, and Eve—still sprawled on the living room floor amidst a sea of blankets and snack wrappers from the night's marathon of screams and laughter. Their giggles and chatter give way to girlish anticipation as they waited for the next fun activity their lovely host would dish out.

"Alright ya little devils," Genesis announced with a wicked grin as she returned from checking if her dad was indeed en route home from work, "It's time for a game! But this time we're mixing it up from the usual... it's going to be a scavenger hunt!" She rubbed her hands together greedily, knowing what treasure awaited them: the ultimate act of betrayal and the twisted joys of watching her father claim her friends' innocence one by one.

Emma shot up faster than a jack-in-the-box at midnight mass. "Hell yeah! I've got this in the fucking bag. With my years of playing video games, I'm definitely winning this shit!"

Sophia yawned, "A scavenger hunt? Indoors? Pretty dumb if you ask me," she teases with a lazy smirk. She stretches herself further on the floor like a relaxed cat under the warm glow of the living room lights.

Eve nodded enthusiastically, her mismatched pajama pants slipping lower on her narrow hips, barely baring the top of her underwear of choice. "Oooh... sounds fun though, Soph!"
