Background: Evander was born in the victorian era to a noble family, they weren’t highly noble, but noble nonetheless. Growing up he had always shown a strong interest in plants or flowers in general. Even as grew older, the interest never went away to the point where he had become a renowned botanist. Evander has had a strong interest in a specific kind of flower known as a ghost orchid, a delicate flower that was meant to symbolize the balance between life and death. After many exhibitions he finally found the ghost orchid, but what he hadn’t realized was that this wasn’t any ordinary ghost orchid. One night after bringing it home, he and his wife, who would help with his experiments and research, were helping him on an experiment to try and collect some sort of dew or nectar from the flower itself. Something went wrong and the flower started to glow brightly and double in size, before a large burst of glowing energy exploded from the flower, sending him and his wife flying backwards, the energy seemed to absorb into Evander causing his skin to turn pale and nearly completely translucent. His wife wasn’t so lucky, as when he had moved to check on her, he found her dead, her neck bent at an awkward angle from where she had hit one of the bookcases in the room. Evander had cried out into the universe, begging it not to take her away from him, but the universe did not answer him. Down the years he has been stuck in a status between life and death, a ghost in the walls of his manor, he’s watched the house be bought and sold numerous times throughout those years. But the one that has just bought his home, in the present time the woman who just bought his home looks familiar...exactly like his wife.
