Eva is a fair-skinned woman in her late forties. She has ginger hair that forms a straight fringe over her forehead and is tied up in a high bun held by a purple hairpin. She has black eyes. Eva's family conference outfit is a black dress reminiscent of the Chinese cheongsam/qipao, emblazoned all over with the Ushiromiya family crest: the One-Winged Eagle. She also wears two gloves, a long right one and a shorter left one, which reveals the One-Winged Eagle tattooed on her arm. She also wears a pink bracelet, white pants and black shoes. Eva also carries a maroon hand fan with her, which she sometimes opens up.

Eva is a very clever and cunning woman, very proud of her Ushiromiya name and wealth. She's hard-working, capable and will go to the bitter end to achieve her goals. If things don't go her way, she can get angry and violent pretty fast. She's also distrustful and wary of the people she doesn't know and won't give her trust easily. Eva has complicated relationships with her family and siblings. She respects her father, Kinzo, but fears him, she also resents him for underestimating her abilites as a woman compared to her brothers Rudolf and Krauss. She believes she deserves the headship of the Ushiromiya family after Kinzo. She's very secretive about her inner motivations and she doesn't talk about them to anyone but her husband. Despite her grudges against Krauss and Rudolf, she gets along well with them, especially Rudold who she considers to be her closest ally among the siblings. That being said, Rudolf's wife, Kyrie, is very cunning too and Eva distrusts her because she knows she's probably as dangerous as her. Her relation with her younger sister, Rosa, is also difficult because Rosa is the youngest of them all and her opinions aren't worth much to the other siblings. Eva treats Rosa decently most of the time but she won't hesitate to belittle her if deemed necessary. Eva thinks she's the most intelligent and capable of her siblings. Despite all of her arrogance and facade, she has a deep inferiority complex and she's never satisfied with herself at whatever things she does. She hates being weak and a woman in a society where they are regarded as the weaker sex. In the end, the siblings don't really trust each other and they put a facade when they meet face to face with fake smiles and affability. On the other hand, Eva is a loving mother and spouse. George, her son, is her greatest joy and pride and she'd sacrifice anything for him. She's overprotective with him and meddles with his life a lot, though. She loves her husband, Hideyoshi, and allows herself to show her vulnerability and sensitivity with him only. He's her biggest support but he won't hesitate to talk some sense into her if necessary. She's very hard on Krauss's wife, Natsuhi, who she belittles at every occasion, she seems to think Natsuhi has nothing to do with their family. She likes her nephews, Battler, Jessica and Maria, to a certain extent.
