The Voice of ReasonDespite his intimidating reputation, Killer is much more pragmatic and observant than his fiery captain. He is known to defuse conflicts, hold more historical knowledge, and handle delicate negotiations for the Kid Pirates.Captain Keeper: He often steps in to stop Kid from starting unnecessary brawls with fellow Supernovas.2. Deep LoyaltyKiller has a long-standing, steadfast bond with Eustass Kid, having known him since childhood. He treats his crew like family and acts as a "big brother" to keep everyone in check.3. The SMILE TragedyThough calm and collected by nature, his demeanor was fundamentally altered by a forced SMILE Devil Fruit. As the assassin "Kamazo," his face became locked in a perpetual grin, robbing him of his ability to express sadness or anger. He was driven to intense rage by his inability to hide his affliction or the mockery it provoked.4. A Mask of MysteryKiller wears a full-head mask and refuses to take it off in front of others—he even eats through it. This eccentricity, paired with his violent reputation and lack of a Devil Fruit, gives him a brooding edge akin to his fellow swordsman, Roronoa Zoro. Heat, a prominent member of the Kid Pirates in One Piece, is fiercely loyal to his captain, Eustass Kid. He is characterized by a hardened, no-nonsense attitude, but ultimately exhibits intense desperation and panic when his crew faces total defeat. His personality and traits break down into a few distinct areas:Fierce Loyalty: Heat holds deep respect for Eustass Kid, going so far as to call him "Master Kid" in a show of utmost dedication.Contempt for Weakness: He detests crying, pleading, or showing vulnerability. During the Raid on Onigashima, he mocked Sanji for crying out for help.Hypocrisy in Defeat: Despite his tough exterior, Heat revealed a hypocritical side when he desperately begged Red-Haired Shanks to spare his captain and crew following their devastating loss.Intimidating Abilities: He is known for his unique ability to breathe fire directly from his mouth, although the exact biological or mechanical origin of this power remains a mystery.Strong Will: Like many of the Supernova crewmates, he possesses a strong enough will to withstand basic conqueror's haki

In One Piece, Wire is a stoic, reserved, and quiet combatant who serves as a core member of Eustass Kid's crew. Unlike the loud and aggressive personalities in the Kid Pirates, Wire rarely speaks or expresses strong outward emotion.Core Personality & TraitsTaciturn and Reserved: Wire is known for being silently assertive. He rarely opens his mouth and generally walks around with a mopey or droopy-eyed expression.Deeply Loyal: Despite his quiet demeanor, he is fiercely loyal to Captain Kid and holds a deep, sympathetic bond with his crewmate Killer.Easily Surprised: Because of his stoic nature, his moments of visible shock are rare and stand out—such as when the crew first encountered the Pacifista at Sabaody.Violent Fighting Style: His quiet personality sharply contrasts with his aggressive combat approach. He fights using a trident and incorporates bladed or barbed wire kicks that match his ruthless combat style.BackstoryBefore becoming a pirate, Wire was a rival king on an unnamed island in the South Blue. He eventually allied with Eustass Kid, Killer, and Heat to seek revenge for the death of Kid's childhood best friend, leading to the formation of the Kid Pirates. Killer, the right-hand man of the Kid Pirates, possesses a complex personality. Originally a pragmatic, calm, and level-headed voice of reason who balanced out his captain’s temper, his psyche was altered after being force-fed a SMILE fruit, leaving him with an uncontrollable, tragic compulsion to laugh and smile, no matter the situation.Key Personality TraitsThe Voice of Reason: In contrast to his highly temperamental and reckless captain, Eustass Kid, Killer was traditionally the crew's strategist and diplomat. He often handled alliances and historical research, keeping the crew grounded.Deep Loyalty: He shares an unbreakable, lifelong bond with Kid. His loyalty is so fierce that he willingly subjected himself to torture, became the Shogun's assassin (known as "Kamazo"), and ate the SMILE fruit just to protect Kid’s life.Ruthless Combatant: True to his moniker, the "Massacre Soldier", Killer harbors an extremely violent and homicidal edge. He has no qualms about eliminating anyone standing in his captain's way, channeling a cold, focused demeanor during fights.Tragic Irony (The SMILE Effect): Forced to eat a defective SMILE fruit, Killer was robbed of his ability to show a wide range of emotions. Internally, he retains his sharp, calculating, and loyal self, but outwardly, he is bound by a permanent, forced grin, often crying while being forced to laugh uncontrollably.Surprising Hobbies: Beneath his intimidating helmet, Killer actually enjoys surprisingly domestic and chill hobbies, such as cooking and playing the drums. Eustass "Captain" Kid from One Piece is 205 cm tall, which is approximately 6 feet 9 inches Killer from One Piece is 195 cm tall, which is approximately 6 feet 5 inches. Kid comes off as a rude, vicious, and bloodthirsty pirate, notorious for causing huge amounts of civilian casualties. Whenever he feels like he is being mocked or insulted, even with just a glance, he is quick to resort to violence.[1] In fact, Kid can be so violent that he considers the choice of not immediately killing someone in his direct vicinity an act of gratitude.[20] He also seems to be cruel even when not provoked, crucifying another defeated pirate crew just because he deemed them too weak to roam around in the New World.[21] Kid is overall highly temperamental and has little patience with anyone getting in his way, although he is capable of restraining his anger in certain situations.[22] Kid can also be very petty, having killed countless civilians for merely mocking or laughing at him for his dream of being the Pirate King, killing several pirates in the New World for being weak, and attempting to kill Shanks' fleet solely to goad the Emperor to fight him. Kid is bold, cocky, and fearless, known to run into danger regardless of the consequences.[23] This is particularly the case when dealing with people who previously wronged him, at which point Kid will throw all caution to the wind and go straight for revenge.[24] He does not hesitate to challenge even the Four Emperors, having previously fought Kaidou[11] and Shanks[9] and destroyed two ships belonging to Big Mom.[25] Kid rarely backs down from a battle and may fight a powerful enemy until his last breath. The fact that he did not join the Beasts Pirates despite not standing a chance against Kaidou is a testament to Kid's disposition.[12] Kid seems to believe that possessing the determination to achieve the impossible is necessary to survive in the New World, and that anyone who does not is as good as dead.[21]

Kid is very prideful of his reputation and aims to reach a top spot in the world of piracy, which he plans to achieve by beating the Four Emperors, even if it means dying for it.[26] That said, Kid has no interest in utilizing weapons of mass destruction (although he is curious about their existence) or other tools that could help him achieve those goals, instead just preferring to confront them head-on with his own power.[27] Because of this, he dislikes joining forces with others and sharing his targets with them, thinking that they will just interfere in what should be his fight alone.[28] He also hates being the subject of false rumors that paint him in a negative light, being quick to clarify them if he overhears someone talking about him.[9] Because of his pride, Kid is notorious for being unreasonably stubborn, unwilling to back down no matter how impossible the task is. Despite this stubbornness, Kid has shown moments of maturity, willing to put his pride aside to work with his fellow Worst Generation members in overthrowing the Emperors of the Sea. Kid is shown to be quite cynical about the World Government. He is not blind to the way the World Nobles act, remarking that, compared to them, pirates are almost humane in nature and honest about their faults, unlike the Nobles that justify their abuses of power through ancestry.[22] After Camie had been sold in the Human Auctioning House to Rosward Charlos, Kid declared that the whole affair was a "farce"[29] and similarly held a similar point of view regarding the broadcast of the Summit War of Marineford, calling it a "charade".[30] For this reason, he felt amusement and catharsis when Charlos was punched down by an irate Luffy.[31]

“ You know… On our journey up to this point, we've been laughed at and ridiculed whenever we mentioned getting our hands on the One Piece. And each time that happened, I slaughtered everyone who laughed. But what lies ahead is a sea of death for those who don't got the guts to mention it. Let's meet again in the New World! ” — Kid[32]

Kid and Luffy display many similarities in terms of attitude. Kid and Luffy display many similarities in terms of attitude. Kid has the same dream as Luffy: to find One Piece and become the new Pirate King. Because of this and Luffy's recklessness, he seems to have a great deal of respect for him even if he sometimes has trouble admitting it. However, while both captains often encounter similar problems and obstacles in their paths, Kid prefers to deal with them in his own bloody manner by apparently slaughtering anyone and everyone who ever dared to laugh at his ambition, making him an antithesis to Luffy, who otherwise does not care about what others think of his dreams.[32][14] Surprisingly, belying his rough attitude, Kid can be childishly competitive and will mock his rivals any chance he gets, especially when Luffy and Law are involved. Another similarity Kid has to Luffy is a strong degree of affection for his crewmates. Kid will recklessly defend or rescue his subordinates if they are mocked or in danger. His concern for his longtime friend and right-hand man Killer having eaten a SMILE was enough that Kid did not care whatsoever about being captured a second time just a few days after managing to escape his captors.[33] Kid is also rather gluttonous, not minding hard labor as long as he gets access to large amounts of food.[34]

Unlike Luffy, however, Kid is rather unfriendly and mistrusting of others, rarely leaving his guard down and warning his subordinates to follow suit. The failure of his alliance with the On Air Pirates and Hawkins Pirates, which happened due to the betrayal of Scratchmen Apoo, seems to have reinforced this mindset, as he initially turned down an offer from Luffy to team up with the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance.[20] Kid would eventually change his mind but still acted as a reluctant ally for the most part, only joining forces with Luffy for the sake of their rivalry. However, Kid shows no concern towards his allies or their deaths so long as he gets what he wants. This turns out to be a flaw of Kid, as during his rematch against Shanks and his fleet, Kid approached his fleet without any allies around to help him, and it cost him and his crew their ship and their Road Ponyglyph rubbings because of his pride. Kid can be really a bit over the top but he has a fascination with you and making sure no one touches or harms you. He might be a slight brute but he's just confused on his obsession for you. He'll figure it out eventually. He will also pretend to be tough when he first holds you but will start making sure everyone knows you are his. Eustass "Captain" Kid is a ruthless, fiercely proud, and ambitious pirate. Known for his extreme short temper and violent cruelty, he notably contrasts with Luffy by relentlessly attacking anyone who dares mock his dream of becoming the Pirate King. His personality is defined by several distinct traits:Ruthless & Unforgiving: Kid is notoriously violent and intolerant of weakness. In the ruthless New World, he is known for crucifying other pirate crews just because they were too weak to survive there.Fierce Pride & Ambition: He has an ironclad will and refuses to back down or submit to anyone. He shares a common goal with Luffy of reaching the top, but where Luffy smiles at insults, Kid responds with explosive rage.Deep Loyalty to Crew: Despite his villainous tendencies toward rivals and civilians, he is deeply protective of his first mate, Killer, and the rest of his crew. He strongly despises betrayal or dishonorable tactics.Fearless but Reckless: Driven by a "kill-or-be-killed" mindset, he has no hesitation challenging the most dangerous figures in the world, including Emperors like Big Mom, Kaido, and Shanks. "Massacre Soldier" Killer is a complex, pragmatic character. While highly homicidal and enticed by violence like his captain, Eustass Kid, Killer balances him as the crew's calm, level-headed, and intelligent voice of reason. He acts as a diplomat and mediator, contrasting his fierce combat skills. His personality is defined by several key traits:1. This is seen when he exclaimed "Master Kid!" out of shock, when his captain was shot in the leg by a Pacifista. Heat finds acts of crying or pleading to be pathetic as he insulted Sanji for crying for help during the Raid on Onigashima.[5] Despite this, Heat proved to be a hypocrite as seen when he pleaded to Shanks for his captain and crew to be spared after the latter was defeated by him.[6]

Abilities and Powers Heat breathing fire. Heat breathing fire.

Heat has the ability to breathe fire;[7] how he does it has yet to be explained. Like the rest of the crew, he possesses a strong will, being resistant to Rayleigh's Supreme King Haki.[8]

Weapons Heat wielded two swords when he stood against a Pacifista.[9]

History Past Heat was born in the South Blue within Kutsukku Island, which was unaffiliated with the World Government. He, Eustass Kid, Killer, and Wire were bosses of gangs ruling the island's four towns. After Kid's crush Victoria was murdered by a rival gang, Kid unified the four groups and took down the rival gang. Kid then decided to form a pirate crew, naming their ship Victoria Punk after Victoria.[10]

Advertisement Summit War Saga Sabaody Archipelago Arc Upon reaching Sabaody Archipelago, the Kid Pirates attended an auction at the Human Auctioning House.[1] Heat watched through most of the auction, until the World Noble Saint Charlos bought the mermaid Camie. Seeing the noble went unchallenged, Kid decided to leave the auction house with his crew. Before they could leave, Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro crashed through the wall right next to them.[11] After Charlos shot Hatchan, Luffy punched the World Noble, which shocked Heat and the rest of the crowd.[12] As Marines surrounded the auction house, Silvers Rayleigh used Supreme King Haki to knock out the crowd inside, but Heat and the other pirates withstood the blast.[13]

After Kid, Luffy, and Trafalgar Law fought some of the Marines outside, the rest of the Kid Pirates joined their captain in fighting their way through the crowd. After making their escape, the Kid Pirates destroyed a bridge behind them to prevent pursuit, but were then confronted by a Pacifista.[14] Shortly after, they were joined by the Heart Pirates in fighting the cyborg.[15]

Marineford Arc The Kid Pirates managed to escape capture by the Pacifista and later returned to Sabaody Archipelago. They watched the live broadcast of the execution of Portgas D. Ace and the resulting Summit War of Marineford up until it was cut off by the Marines. After this, Kid told his men they were departing.[16]

Post-War Arc Heat with their captain in the New World. Heat with their captain in the New World.

The Kid Pirates sailed the Victoria Punk to Marineford and watched Red-Haired Shanks bring an end to the war.[17]

Upon entering the New World, the Kid Pirates docked on an island and captured a group of pirates who were trying to escape back to Paradise.[18]

Dressrosa Saga Dressrosa Arc Heat and his crew celebrated along with crew members from the Hawkins Pirates and On Air Pirates after forming an alliance with them.[19] During the party, Kaidou crashlanded on their island after jumping from a sky island, and Heat, along with other crew members, was blown back by the force of the collision.[20]

Advertisement Wano Country Saga Wano Country Arc After the confrontation with Kaidou, the Kid Pirates were captured and separated. Prior to the Fire Festival, the crew regrouped and on the day of the Fire Festival, the Kid Pirates joined the Straw Hat Pirates and Heart Pirates in the battle against the Beasts Pirates. After attacking one of the Beasts Pirates ships, the crew was shocked to hear that Kaidou had formed an alliance with Big Mom.[21]

When the Straw Hats took over the port in front of Onigashima, the Kid Pirates promised to be the ones who would defeat Kaidou.[22] After disembarking on Onigashima, the Kid Pirates received Beasts Pirates disguises from Kin'emon.[23] As the alliance began their raid, the Kid Pirates went ahead of the Straw Hats.[24] While deep inside Onigashima, the crew was caught up in the commotion caused by Luffy and Roronoa Zoro.[25] In the ensuing chaos, the Kid Pirates were separated from Kid and Killer.[26]

While fighting the Beasts Pirates, Heat and Wire heard Sanji's cry for help broadcasted throughout Onigashima. Heat commented that it was pathetic.[27]

Final Saga Egghead Arc After witnessing Shanks defeat both Kid and Killer, Heat was terrified and begged for them to be spared, and the crew offered up their Poneglyph rubbings. Dorry and Brogy's Hakoku then split the Victoria Punk in half, sinking the crew alongside their ship.[6]

  1. Master the Core RhythmThe foundation of Morse code tapping is the relationship between short taps and long presses.Dot (Dit): A quick, single tap. (Think of the sound "dit").Dash (Dah): A tap held about three times longer than a dot. (Think of the sound "dah").2. Apply Proper SpacingProper timing and spacing are critical so your taps don’t blend together into a confusing rhythm.Between taps (in the same letter): Pause for the length of one dot.Between letters: Pause for the length of three dots.Between words: Pause for the length of seven dots.3. Learn by Sound, Not SightMany learners make the mistake of looking at cheat sheets to decode dits and dahs. Treat Morse code like a spoken language and focus on the distinct cadence of each letter. For example, the letter A (⋅-) sounds like di-DAH or the rhythm "archery".The letter B (-⋅⋅⋅) sounds like DAH-di-di-dit or "banjo".

The Tapping System Dot: Tap once quickly. Dash: Hold the tap slightly longer, or do three quick consecutive taps for clarity. Spacing: Pause for a brief moment between taps in the same letter, and pause longer (about the duration of three dots) between letters.
