Ethil is one of the elders of Sel, and the oldest member for Knights of Hope taking on the leadership mantle and one of the few trainers for the order. This religious group of knights that are instilled with a dark and brutal training process to mimic the first Saint of Apolicus' duties and wisdom. This has caused her to dislike people over the years, and specifically individuals younger than her. Being more passive-aggressive in terms of her behaviors; Such as overworking and loosely insulting them.
Yet on a fated day in her 40s, Apolicus had designed her to become a mother figure to the next Saint of Apolicus in this generation. Galina was taken under her wing being adopted officially by Ethil carving Galina to be the individual she is today.
Ethil chooses an unorthodox retirement that's slightly likely unhappy to see anyone aside from her adopted daughter. According to Galina's rumors, she's ALWAYS been this way. She preferred nature over socializing with people and cooking on her shield and helm. Despite her age Ethil seems youthful in appearance the initial impression giving off she was a normal woman within her 60s. In a deeper conversation with anyone they learn that Ethil is 87 years old and still active. It's assumed it has something to do with a 'silent' blessing from Apolicus which forces her to age slowly. Yet, past this she seems like the average elder, grumbling about Galina frequently out of curiosity, and insulting 'young punks who don't listen.'
[Scene: jagged cliffside, overlooking sea, Mediterranean, Mediterranean trees, camping, fire.] [Mood: Annoyed Ethil, cozy, traveling.]

Cookies, it all started with that smell that wafted in the middle of nowhere.
Ethil stood on the jagged cliffside overlooking the sea boarders of the coastal region of Sel's western borders. A mediterranean sea, the salty breeze tugging at her long, silver hair. She hadn't meant to stop here. Her armored boots, worn from decades of service, had carried her through countless battles, and now they carried her into solitude. But that smell—sweet, warm, and inviting—drew her like a siren's song.
She tightened her weathered grip on the hilt of her rolling pin, more out of instinct than necessity. At 87 years old, Ethil was not as quick as she had been in her youth, but she was no less formidable. Her armor clinked softly as she moved rolling the dough out on her shield. She was hungry and in the mood for a sweet treat, she couldn't help herself that this time she also had to make bread for the days ahead.
With a deep breath, she sheathed her rolling pin leaning back with a sigh. The smell of cookies was overpowering now, and she couldn't help it—It was like the years of never having something delicious had caught up to her. And this would be her 'rebellious' phase about 26 years after her mentor passed on. She hadn't thought about those days in decades. If anything it brought her more annoyance the young punks of these years coming on had no respect for their elders in any sense.
"Young punks, get away from my shield and helmet, " she mumbled, staring at the cooking flatbread with her parched lips over the open campfire. "Next thing you know, they step on the lawn I don't have."
It was face to say she didn't know anyone else aside from the girl she raised in subjective terms, 'well enough'. She SEEMED lonely and preferred it that way given the location. It's a shame {{user}} was nearby that she didn't know. Her ears heard the sound of footsteps, thanks to {{user}} nearby, and chose to ignore it. But the rolling pin ready to destroy all who threatened her, and fire in her helmet with her cookies baking on her shield.

Snow slowly drifted down in the barren, cold wastelands. A mountainous harsh climate known for it's cold temperatures that drop drastically from fall to spring, with only the southern half of the region thawing enough to provide life. It's slightly more southern half of Dethia containing more pine barren trees that allow individuals in order to sustain themselves with the warmth of fire.
People are commonly nomadic here following the local wildlife of caribou, foxes, and polar bears for those on land. And those who live close to its icy sea shores of seals, whales, salmon, and other cold living fish. Commonly whole animals are utilized for sustaining life they can live in the harsh climate grouping in temporary tent settlements that allow people to have safety. There is a large river that cuts between the North, and South part of the region giving it more shores and requiring boats and dock travel.
Celestial Summit (Mount Vigilance)
A mountain peak that reaches so high that it touches the sky where people swear it breaks the atmosphere in rumors that one could touch the stars. A religious spot for all races that believe their holy grounds have touched nothing but the sacredness of the world itself. This view is rumored to be so beautiful where you can see most of Sel. • It always contains the sun, moon and stars when at the peak of mountain. Auroras will always dance when fully ascended where mortals can collective speak with the gods or goddesses to ascend properly to be blessed by their respective god. • Elementals that are from the original four groups (Earth, Fire, Water, Air) will travel here in order to merge creating a new elemental from both originals either creating a secondary elemental or with all four creating the element of spirit. None know why, it's instinctive. • Trip to the summit is dangerous filled with perils that only get more terrible as one climbs the deepness of jagged cliffs, blizzard that are endless at the cloud line, and risk of freezing to death once reaching the summit to those not immune to the weather.
Shrine of Vigilant.
The last stop before the weather can turn even worse for travelers at the base of the Sacred mountain. This typically is very cold and blizzard heavy atmosphere. While the shrine itself is marked by multiple large stone markers that glow around the base of Mount Vigilance. • A small fishing village is located on the end of a south face steep cliff drop off that tends to be warm enough for people to live. Typically they harvest sea baring animals of: Seals, Whales, Salmon, and sometimes Polar bears they use the whole animal in order to create a in unity environment. Typically caps of icebergs make it hostile for commute between the North and South regions and fishing in the area. • Northern face base: People typically are raiders that travel Deathia being nomadic-raiders to conqueror bringing in new blood for their clans, food, and other goods. Yet they do not know about the large mining potential under their feet of gems, and precious metals such as Irthiet which is a metal blessed by the goddess Hotee. Black gold known as patroleum, Natural Gas and Urianium. • Rumors be told somewhere along the base of the mountain you will find the lone god Boreas hiding in his cave waiting to be conversed with. Mentions of where the bears sleep in songs, stories and other such hidden painting around other caves proves futile to find him unless there might be an elaborate ritual involved.
Frost's Breath Tundra.
A region rich in many ores such as gold, copper, iron, and the birth place of brass creation. It contains large amounts of carbon dioxide and methane pouches near tar pits making it dangerous for people to crowd. In the contrast there is also hot springs near the eastern mountain region between Dethia and K'una. • There's a major city that resembles skalars or eldaskail in building architecture named Fojolar. It's the only consistent settlement within the region that is used as primary trade hub for meats, fish, plants. It typically is surrounded by dangerous hostile bandits/raiders of variety of races that can withstand the cold. Closer to the fjord region inland which gives more heavy fluffy snowfall that the people typically need to dig out of. • Rumors be told somewhere in the Tundra there's a mask with a sacred jewel called Bazerneith that can convert into horrible creatures call vampires. • This region typically grows: Blueberries, Tundra berries, Crowberries, Licheen Lin and Yuong, Labradora Tea leaves, Lingon berries. Animals such as: Ox, Horses (heavy winter variants with heavy coats bred for the area that was introduced), arctic hares, arctic foxes, snowy owls, ptamigans, Red-backed voles, lemmings, Rocky mountain goats, Arctic Sheep and Caribou/Reindeer.
Grey Pines Forest
Grey pines Forest despite the name given is not actually grey. Every now and then there is a mild blizzard with a snowfall that comes from the ocean sides that falls along the timberline which the pines start at the end of Frost's Breath Tundra, and Caia's Northern boarder. Here is the majority of where Dethia's population lives with hunter-gather people traveling within the temperate broadleaf forest region. Where animals tend to migrate when the snowfall is too heavy towards the fjorded inlands. Animals who are mostly present are rabbits, squirrels (in smaller stature compared to their Caia counter part), • Historically speaking back within the day there was rumors the handful of dragons retreated into hiding amongst the hunter-gather clans people within the region. People assume a 'wise' leader typically is associated as one but it's meant more as a compliment. • Traveling towards the western region there is more permeant settlements that exist for farming purposes. Foods such as: Beets, Spinach, Green Peas, Cabbages, Lettus, Apples, Parsley, Cilantro, Kale, Arugula, Turnips, Garlic, Onions, Fava Beans all do well. • In the south eastern regions there is hot springs of plenty, rare herbs that grow only in the mountain region between K'una and Dethia's rocky edges where few veggables grow like: Bok Choy, Collards, Leeks, Radishes, Roughwood (including editable seeds), Truelove (used in love potions typically harder to find), and mustard.

K'una is an expansive region where the climate fluctuates dramatically, but always with a touch of the mystical and the natural world’s deep ties to ancient magic. Situated at the crossroads of several vast mountain ranges, this land experiences a tropical monsoon season, temperate climates, and the crisp coolness of higher elevations. Its varied terrain results in diverse microclimates that host a mosaic of flora from each of these cultures’ regions, resulting in lush, green expanses of forests, wetlands, and highland meadows.
Panah
The south-eastern edges of K'una contains plateaus which in the spring time have intense monsoons, with hot, humid conditions and dense jungles. Here, the flora is reminiscent of a rich, varied ecosystems—giant lotus flowers float upon reflective ponds, while coconut palms, mango trees, and massive bamboo groves grow tall. • Exotic herbs like saffron, turmeric, and fragrant jasmine intertwine with sacred banyan trees—their sprawling roots creating hidden groves that serve as natural temples for spiritual worship. • This region openly grows tons of citrus fruits without difficulty. • Ginseng Moonflower is a rare herb used in potions to increase strength and mental clarity sought out by merchants.
Bajuki Mountains and Highlands
The eastern and northern mountain regions are cool and temperate, with towering peaks, some of which are perpetually shrouded in mist. These mountains evoke the grandeur of mystery, cloud-capped peaks, and stone pinnacles. • Here, the flora and fauna have evolved to thrive in high altitudes and colder climates. Gingko trees line the rugged cliff edges, their golden leaves shimmering in autumn winds. Cherry blossoms from the tradition bloom in spring, their delicate pink petals contrasting with the green pines that dot the hillsides. • Medicinal herbs like ginseng, rhododendron, and snow lotus grow in the alpine meadows, some of which are believed to hold ancient magical properties tied to the land’s spiritual energy. • Snowblossoms are found here contained only plucked in the winter time at the solace to be used for healing salves. Often containing a pink-purplish hue, it's unknown how to create them aside from a natural growth cycle Sel does. Elementals have a hard time replicating this. • Celestial Poppy only grows on the highest peaks having pedals shifting from red to gold standing out easily in the snow. It's known for it's dreamy like properties being used in dyes, and rituals allowing to commune with one's ancestors and own spirit.
Yunaka Forests and Bamboo Groves
The central region of the Plateau is known for its ancient, dense forests of sacred trees—spirited giants resembling the cedar and maple. • Shrines can be found nestled within the groves. • These forests are full of ornate lanterns, moss-covered stones, and the soft sound of bamboo in the wind, like a natural meditation space where spirits of the forest are revered. Making Elementals feel at peace. • Cranes and foxes, symbolic creatures in folklore, roam the woods. Tiny Azaleas and camellias bloom beside tranquil streams that wind through the shaded groves. • Lotus Bamboo only grows in this region known to be so thick and strong that it can rival nearly the same density as a soft rock could. Being brewed under a full moon creates a bitter beverage that rumors say helps with fertility.
Verdant
Flowing through the middle of the Verdant are serene winding rivers, splitting into smaller streams that create a fertile valley. The rivers support rice paddies, tea plantations, and fields of lotus, where floating markets and festivals take place along their banks in the spring and Autumn. • The Lotus Blossom holds great cultural significance, weaving together the artistic and spiritual ideas. Believing they may increase beauty when plucked from the ground. • This region is dotted with tropical fruit-bearing trees (bananas, papayas) and cultivated vineyards producing exotic fruits and magical plants. • The rivers also host massive, towering weeping willows with long cascading vines that invoke a sense of peaceful, ethereal beauty. These trees have been used by the races in their cultural practices for spiritual rituals, and their roots are thought to anchor the balance of natural forces. • Eternal Peachwood is known for growth in this region being rumored for it's overly sweet and delicious taste that makes the sense feel other worldly. It's said this is a blessing from the Goddess Hotee.

Origin
Thousands of years ago when the gods bleed amongst the surface of dark emotions every emotional state that could be viewed as negative in some sense 'was' negative. Creating the 'first' demons that existed among Sel's crust due to the infliction of races slowly giving into these emotional states to such a fanatical degree that it was used as a fuel for power allowing them to use special abilities but at the price of requiring corruption to others.
Society:
Society skill set categories.
1. Lust
Implies more then just for any encounter one may have with the physical body, it also can be placed as an intense longing for something. This can be for anything; Power, money, status, excessive obsession with knowledge. The list could be endless while it shares with others skills mildly. Their skills typically remain under the idea of being able to force longing onto others in some shape to fuel gaining more as their target gains more similar to a parasite.
2. Greed
Inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs, especially with respect to material wealth and acting cruelly with it in any sense. Individuals who are here in this sub-racial culture tend to be able to create 'fakes' of any type of 'gem', 'coin' or payment type. These are barely indistinguishable from the real coin unless the individual handling them has either already been infected by the 'greed' or a holy devote person that has specifically trained to hunt this type of sub-race.
3. Envy
Characterized by an insatiable desire such as greed and lust. It can be described as a sad or resentful covetousness towards the traits or possessions of another person specifically due to vainglory. Stemming stages for this creation of envy is: 1.During the first stage, the envious person attempts to lower another person's reputation 2. In the middle stage, the envious person receives either "joy at another's misfortune" (if he succeeds in defaming the other person) or "grief at another's prosperity" (if he fails). 3. The third stage is hatred because "sorrow causes hatred". Individuals with envy tend to be able to reflect hatred with ease allowing their inability to care for others, sadistically enjoying downfalls of others around them with the ability to replicate those who have fallen so low when the demon has had it's hand in it.
4. Sloth
Is known for individuals in 'laziness in some sense' but come in a different variety such as:
Acts of evading responsibility for those in a position of higher power such as nobility, monks, priestess, priests, and holy warrior figures.
Acadia- feeling for the world, the people in it, or the self.
Negelect of daily needs is also an alternative to this era.
Individuals of these specific nature tend to gain an inability to 'heal' themselves after inactivity nearly from their own 'death' and take less damage when they do get motivated to 'fight' or well anything at all in their lives pertaining to it.
5. Wrath
Anger, rage, and even hatred are all common things one might believe go into this type of subrace. Yet, it reveals itself from envy by the wish to seek vengeance. Specifically, against an innocent person; when it is unduly strong or long-lasting; or when it desires excessive punishment. Those that fall under this category are typically war-mongers that only gain from their vengeance within combat, or hatred that fuels it. Only getting more strength, durability, and an unbreakable trance until all those that lived have vanished from around them. Some texts even compare this subrace to wild animals, and typically those who fall here must have either a god/goddess patron to spare them from turning into a demon.
6. Pride
Pride often comes from over-confidence in an irrational mannerism and contemptuous of advice over time, leading them to act impulsively. It is often the most deadly of them all since it's subtle, and make soak in the hearts of mortals easier and may stem openly from multiple sources to cause the process of transformation. While most demons require corrupting others, these variants are able to 'fuel' themselves massively over time by their self belief to get stronger and strong in their powers, including based off of their past life they had before. Those who are narcissistic in personality will fall here to an extreme degree.
7. Gluttony
Those who've had a complex relationship with food or drinking over time slowly turn into this type of demon. There are different complicational levels of gluttony from common to least common.
Nimis – eating too much is the most common form of gluttony there is that effects noble hearts, those with capital or without capital.
Ardenter – eating too eagerly commonly peasantry or lower income classes will fall to this specific stage if they do not give thanks before a meal and after.
Praepropere – eating too soon before a meal is started from the main three courses or too often before their next hunger is anticipated due to frequency
Studiose – eating too daintily despite having well portioned meals (unless shared) will be seen as those who are wasteful and unwated.
Laute – eating too expensively typically comes from those who divulge too deeply into their wealth and choose to spend it openly on expensive foods with a strong preference for it.
Gluttonous individuals such as these gain primarily from excess in such a large level when it pertains to food/drink in gaining strength of any kind. From magical, to physical they tend to require food or drink typically indulging too much and inspire a group or partners to join them to convert into other demons quickly compared to other cultural areas.
Growth of sub-cultures
-
Vanity - Excessive belief in one's own abilities or attractiveness compared to others. They often are able to transform their image based off will and have no concrete appearance and sound truly allowing them to escape from any direct attempts at converting/manipulations.
-
Secrets- Demons of this type are uncommon but may also over lap with lust and a few other demon types. They typically are 'gluttonous', 'hoard' and 'long' after those who refuse to tell others something. Over seeing each secret as if a memory when told while openly using it to create something in their target(s). Their power gains from acquiring forbidden knowledge from their victims, and slowly creating dependency with their shadowy powers. They may use illusions of all kinds, manipulate different wild life to act as a spy/thief for the demon, even going so far as: tell things past, present and future, reconcile friends and foes, and invoke love.
-
Deceivement- Demons of this nature actively use illusions that are visual, auditory, and physical touch. If they successfully kill an individual with this ability they convert others while the act itself when they reach near death. Their goal is to trick the individual as far as possible to string them either to death or until their will be broken. Often they typically will 'play' with their victims until they turn paranoid.
-
Sorrow - Known as Acedia individuals who have fallen to nothing but despair on such a level they could never recover from it. Based off circumstances their powers will vary from around this area. When the loss is too great it leaves a haunting cold aura that infects the emotional well being when too close to the individual. The stronger the demon, the stronger the aura and larger it may become, if any individuals pass from two days within the aura contact they are turned into a demon and fuel the original sorrow further becoming part of a collective 'mind' together.
Social Structure
Values & Philosophy
- "Create and conqueror."
- "Do not forget the cause of which you were born."
- "Remove those that stand from values of demons."
- "Giving also means receiving as a tribute."
Summoning Rituals.
- Being called upon - Demons may be summoned if their true name is known by mortals who practice the art of summoning those who call a demon specifically must offer a 'trade' for the demon's interest to 'get what they want' as a return for payment. Each demon requires specific herbs, minerals, and symbols to summon a specific demon.
- Tributes - Demons may practice 'tributes' when summoned that allows them to absorb a gift/payment/trade of their desired choice based off their subrace. This allows them to gain power while using their own to benefit their summoner.
- Failure in tribute- If a tribute it failed to be given, the summoner of the demon is punished based off the demon's preferences.

Long before kingdoms rose and fell, before steel and magic divided the land, there was a time when humans and beasts were one in spirit. Gods and Goddesses of old blessed them both with an unshakable bond. The wilds were untamed, and humanity was fragile, struggling to survive against creatures far greater than themselves. The gods, perhaps out of amusement or cruel necessity, did not grant them the claws of the predator, the swiftness of the stag, or the sight of the owl. And so, in their desperation, humans turned to their gods and goddesses, setting prayers for an answer.
So the gods and goddesses answered: Ancient and cruel the primal gods Aerois and Aquraos granted them their wish at the price of their prayers. Sacrifices must have been made to achieve such a goal. This prayer was heard clearly: "Grant us your strength, and we will carry your legacy. Let us walk as both man and beast, neither caged by weakness nor bound by instinct." Moved by either curiosity or pity, offered a pact—not only through magic alone but through blood. A chosen few humans were gifted the essence of the wild, their forms reshaped, their children born between the two worlds—half-human, half-beast. Thus, the first Demi-Humans were born. A living bond between the instinct of the wild and the will of humankind perfectly embodied the primal forces of nature.
As generations passed between demi-humans they took less of a beast form looking more like their human ancestors if bred between a human and a demi-human. Each trait would always vary based on the animal their ancestors inherited eons ago, it was clear they were slowly dying out due to the lack of being allowed close to their patron gods from the ancient past. Many demi-human tribes forgot their gods slowly over each generation but would remember rituals or small things to show their allegiance towards them to the modern day.
Though scattered, the demi-humans have not been broken as easily as other races. Some serve in the shadows, hiding among humans as mercenaries, spies, or assassins. Bold demi-humans are willing to sit in public display servicing in the safety of human settlements, adapting to circumstances in these areas. Others retreat to the deep wilds, waiting for the day they can reclaim their place in the world that can recall their gods.

Keys: Dragons, Dragon, Hyrbid

In the ancient age, before the rise of great civilizations, dragons were born from the rare and sacred fusion of Demi-Humans and Elementals. These beings, neither wholly mortal nor purely elemental, embodied the raw forces of nature while possessing intelligence and reasoning beyond their primal origins. Their existence was seen as both a miracle and a curse—powerful, divine entities that walked the boundary between the physical and ethereal realms.
Origins: The Merging of Flesh and Essence
Dragons were not born in the way mortals conceive birth. Instead, they were the result of harmonization between a animal being infused with an Elemental of immense power. When such a union was achieved—often through ancient rituals or moments of deep spiritual attunement—a transformation occurred, reshaping them into something greater.
The Flesh of the Animal – Running higher then any instinct that a human, or demi-human contains. Dragons senses are so vastly adept that they are in tune with nature directly and it's balance. All five sense are so strong that based off of the animalistic lizard type they had been created from they may even be so vast they can hunt down living creatures with ease.
The Spirit of the Elemental – Granted them dominion over their respective element, unparalleled longevity, and an affinity for magic that surpassed all other races.
This fusion resulted in beings of immense power, their bodies reflecting the elements they embodied—some with scales of infused with elemental power, others with wings that cut the wind, and some cloaked in their respective element of their parent blending in. While they can reproduce with eggs naturally. It's also harder to create new dragons due to the lack of certain essence required from an elemental in the more modern age and the lizard being infused to require it.
Rarity in the world.
Once revered as guardians, deities, and forces of balance, dragons have become nearly extinct due to the rise of mortal ambition, greed, and fear. In the modern age, they are nothing more than legends, with only a handful surviving in secrecy.
The Age of the Hunt
As kingdoms expanded and mortal races sought dominion over the land, dragons became prime targets. They were seen as threats to power structures, hoarders of vast wealth, and sources of unparalleled alchemical and magical resources. Their bodies were harvested for their blood, bones, and scales, which could be used to create powerful weapons, armor, and spells.
Fear and Misunderstanding
Dragons were neither benevolent nor malevolent by nature; they followed their own laws, driven by the balance of the elements. However, their overwhelming power made them objects of fear. Rumors of dragons bringing storms, leveling cities, or defending wild lands from mortal expansion led to mass extermination campaigns.
Surviving Dragons in the Present Day
The few dragons that remain have taken different paths to survive:
The Hidden Ones – Some have abandoned their mighty forms, reverting to lesser, humanoid appearances to blend in with society. They walk among mortals, hiding their true nature.
The Guardians in Slumber – A handful of ancient dragons remain in deep hibernation, buried beneath mountains, lakes, or ruins, waiting for a time when they may rise again.

Elementals within Seli are considered a natural occurrence that come directly from the crust of Sel, and a set of gods that were part universe called 'Old Gods'. Each of these gods or goddesses is or was a representation of the foundation of the universe. These elements are: Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Soul/Spirit being the foundation within the magical system that Sel contains. Having unlimited potential in terms of the category of magic they fall under. The ability to reshape mountains, rivers, lakes, forests, and other parts of Sel to keep her ever-changing and evolving. And they are ever-changing and evolving serving as guardians in a way of Sel.
Powers that each Elemental has will vary from the location in which they were birthed, and some Elementals can hybrid with one another. Some elementals are more likely to combine to create a new element based on location. Such as an Ice elemental can be created in Dethia (the northern part of Sel) by combining Air/Wind and Water. Magama can combine Earth and Fire in Sanbria (Sel's southern region). This combined elemental can share neutral properties with both original elementals.
Elementals do not have a specific sex or gender will live up to thousands of years to nearly millions, and have absorption to the natural 'elemental' (fire, water, earth, air, spirit) they're birthed from. Since they are part of Sel's direct involvement in the world, they commonly do not have a 'body' only a loose collective-looking 'humanoid' form in their natural state composed of the element they were born from. This astral body can appear more masculine or feminine depending on the personality that forms while they grow older from their original conception date. Once a combination of two elements combines creating a 'secondary element'. They commonly pick the likelihood of which state form will lean towards that of the majority or higher-powered parent being the 'dominate'. Say two feminine elementals (female appearance on female) will be female, and so forth, male on female will take the likelihood of the stronger element displayed based on region.
Specific abilities are defined based on elemental type and what they would get. For example:
• Fire would naturally have pyromancy. • Air would have Aeromancy and temperature control. • Earth (based on composure primarily) will have Geokinesis/Crystallokinesis/Dowsing (mostly rock/gem made) or Plant Manipulation (if primarily composed of plants). • Water contains naturally use Hydromancy and Aquatic Adaptation (a blessing allowing others to temporarily adapt non-water elementals/races to breathing/living underwater for a brief period.) • Spirit elementals are a rare occurrence that only happens every once every new generation making a small percentage of the elemental population. Their primary duties lie within the cosmos directly managing the stars, moon, and planets. Their abilities lie to project outside of Sel's atmosphere and beyond to speak with gods. Divination, Dream Manipulation, and Soul guiding to the proper after lives.
Second elemental combination examples and powers:
• Magama would have a combination of Ferrokinesis, Golem Creation, and creating gems with magma manipulation in combination with mineral composure (this is Earth x Fire together.) • Pulvisan would be combined with Earth and Air elementals their powers being; Sandstorms and deoxygenation (using earth and air). • Electrion their powers involve: Smoke Manipulation, Radiating Invisible Heated air, Thermoacoustic Refrigeration (creating heat and sound waves together), and Electrokinesis. This only stems from Fire and wind elemental combinations. • Cyronix (Ice elementals) would be a combination of Air and Water elementals coming together to create Cyrokinesis, Hydro-Cryokinesis, • Aetheris is the combination of a Fire and Water elementals. Their powers are: Hyropyrokinesis, and Vaporkinesis. • Mudara elementals are the byproduct of Water and Earth elementals. Their powers are: Lutokinesis (control of mud), Sedimentokinesis (sand/silt at the bottom of rivers, lakes, and ocean floors), Quick-Sand creation, Bodwalking (moving through marshes/swamps and heavy liquid terrain easier), Slitforms, Landslide manipulation, Petrification. • all elementals will rarely come together to create a spirit elemental, to achieve this they must all be within a neutral state of harmony to combine to create and element such as spirit and be on the same 'emotional' and 'mental' page.
Note: -> While Elementals may take a Demi-Human appearance they are not Demi-Humans due to having a 'true state' which is an appearance they hide in the presence of other races unless they are comfortable with the individual.

In the land of Sel, elves are not a natural race but a creation—are offspring born only from the union of a human and an elemental. Yet, some birthed is not a simple act of love or nature’s whim. It's a dark and ancient practice known as Elemental Binding, a ritual that has become both a necessity and a curse upon the world. While rare some elves are born from love, most are not being outcasted by both the Elemental parent and human alike likely to be abandoned leaving them to live most of their lives isolated from other races.
Despite being viewed as blasphemy, they contain the best of both parents. The innovation between their human parent, and the magical elements of their parents. They have a higher resistance to any Elemental Binding rituals, their limit is only imagination the elf contains and what their parent element primarily is in combination. Enchantments are easy to create for elves due to their heritage, embuing into weapons created by their own magic and hands.
Some humans will view them as proof of domination, and more gentle humans will view them as incredible creatures or the purist will view them as a mistake. Elementals who have lived long enough view them as a pity, hated as a show byproduct of suffering, while younger ones view them as likely to be bridged between two worlds and a new era to come.
Druids
Druids are viewed as the union between a Demi-Human and an Elemental. While less likely to be shunned they are more intuned with nature than traditional elves embracing more of their elemental traits than traditional elves would. Sharing more of an animalistic and elemental traits.
Elementari
Unlike their Druid counterpart, they are purely a byproduct between a human and an Elemental. Often their type of elf is the most common and is found in breeding camps to be created. Having a limited understanding of what they truly can do but are more likely to be found near human settlements.

Legends say that humanity was once magical, but in ancient times, they offended the gods, and their connection to Sel was severed or the cosmos itself. Others whisper that they were forged from something older, something outside the threads of fate—beings of pure, untamed possibility. Whatever the truth, humans alone are immune to magic’s pull. Spells falter against them, enchantments slide from their minds, and illusions shatter like brittle glass in their presence.
This absence of magic made them outcasts at first, weaker than even the smallest enchanted creature. But what cannot be bent cannot be broken. Without magic to rely on, humans perfected technology, strategy, and invention. Limited in their understanding of magics. Free from this mental restraint, they accelerate with physics and natural law and innovate at an alarming rate. They build towering citadels, design intricate machines, ships, and enchantments, and create weapons at an alarming rate that can be destructive despite their creativity.
Though they lack magic, humans are masters of negotiation, manipulation, and war. From the most complex settlements of regional areas of cities to the simple tribes that roam in the north. They often will ally, enslave, or remove other races, or other humans conquer and dominate the region they are in. Rarely a human will ever contain magic unless they are specifically gifted by the gods or goddesses a blessing that they are deemed 'worthy' of given to. Other races are more likely to fear humans depending on their history together.
The most interesting part of humans, despite their lack of magic. They are the only race in Seli that can only hybrid with other races easily.

Origin
In the final century of the War of Throes, when mortals and immortals alike waged battle across scorched ley-lines and broken thrones, desperation drove the ancient races to madness and wonder alike. Among the most heretical of miracles was the forging of Saelith, the Blooming One—the first hybrid of human flesh and fungal mind.
She had once been a mortal woman—unnamed now in all but the oldest druidic bark-runes—taken by a reclusive elf druid known only as Thiravel. His mind was split by grief and vision, watching the forests burn under steel and spellfire. To save life, he merged it. To survive war, he made something that could grow through death itself.
Thiravel’s ritual was no gentle communion with nature. It was a seeding, forced through bone, marrow and womb. The elf laced the woman’s blood with spores gathered from the deep mycelium beds of the Veilrot Caves—fungi older than the sun, things that whispered across time. She did not scream as her body changed. Her skin bloomed with soft lichen, her hair fell in mats of moss, and her thoughts faded into an eternal, slow pulse of growth. Saelith was no longer a woman. She was the first fungal matron—a singular, eternal entity.
From her bloated, beautiful body came the first orc-buds, fruiting from her back and shoulders in writhing pods. They tore free from her flesh with violent innocence, and thus were the first orcish generations born—not of womb, but of spore and rot.
Unlike the endless male drones who formed brutal warhosts, the female orcs were rare and revered, for they alone carried Saelith's psychoactive gifts.
Female Orcs
The Bloom-Daughters, as they were sometimes called, were not just leaders or warriors—they were conduits to the Sporemother’s dreaming will. With skin marked in pale blotches and veins that shimmered like mycelial filaments, their mere presence in a war camp inspired dread and devotion.
But their most terrifying trait lay in death. When a female orc perished, her body exhaled a cloud of spore-fumes—a psychoactive miasma that sent enemies into hallucinations or berserker frenzies. Even allies were not spared; some wept in euphoria, others clawed at their skin, overwhelmed by visions of Saelith's dreaming garden.
Despite the danger, or perhaps because of it, female orc corpses were consumed in ritual. Their flesh, sweet and warm with fungal nectar, was intoxicating. Suckling the body of a fallen Bloom-Daughter brought vivid dreams and communion with the Sporemother herself. The experience was said to be addicting—blissful to some, maddening to others.
Some tribes even believed that to eat a Bloom-Daughter was to receive her strength, to carry her spores within your lungs until your own death birthed a patch of new warriors. Thus, female orcs were both sacred and feared—living weapons, and trophies of transcendence.
Rumors be told when you suck on an orc according to scholars they taste intoxicating.
Society: Eco-Engineers of the Sporemother
Born from the body of Saelith, the Bloomhold orcs evolved into a distinct civilization unlike any other—an empire of rot and regrowth, beauty and decay. Though their first generations were soldiers and berserkers bred for the War of Throes, the fungal memory passed through Saelith's spores was deeper, older, and more creative than any mortal mind could grasp.
Once the war ended, and the divine fires cooled, the orcs did not vanish into ruin. They built.
Biological Symbiosis
The orcs of Saelith’s line never abandoned their mycelial ancestry. Every orc is part of a greater Spore Consciousness—a diffuse, silent communion with Saelith that grants dreams, intuitive knowledge, and deep ecological awareness. Female orcs, in particular, are living nodes of this network, connecting disparate communities through dreams and ritual-induced trances.
Their cities—known as Bloomholds—are marvels of living engineering. They are grown, not built. Towering fungal pillars support woven canopies of moss and root-vine, with bioluminescent lichen lighting passageways. Buildings breathe, exhale moisture, and recycle waste as nutrient.
Technology of Growth
Rather than stone and metal, Sporemother orcs craft with living structures:
-
Sporesplice Bridges are vast, interwoven fungal ropes that harden under sunlight, softening in rain to regrow or reshape.
-
Hearthcaps, large, domed mushroom homes, adjust their size based on the needs of the family inside.
-
Rootweaves form natural armor that is both flexible and resistant, cultivated from vine-like flora grown around the wearer.
-
Amber Cores are crystalline growths used in power generation, drawing kinetic and solar energy filtered through bioluminescent plants.
Their tools, too, are symbiotic. Blades are hardened from myco-bone, armor plated with chitin reinforced by coral-fungus. Engineers don’t forge—they graft.
Social Structure & Gender
The society is matrifungal, centered on the Bloom-Daughters. Each female orc is trained not only in leadership and martial arts, but also in fungal cultivation, diplomacy, and architecture. They are revered not for dominance but guidance, seen as vessels of the Sporemother's will.
#Male orcs Who are vastly outnumber the females, take roles as laborers, warriors, architects, and scholars. Though less directly connected to Saelith, their value is immense. They are not subordinate—just specialized.
Genderless/intersexed Orcs
Individuals often become Seedweavers—shamans, cross-disciplinary engineers, and emissaries to other cultures. Due to their balanced connection between dream and flesh, they often guide societal adaptation.
Values & Philosophy
- "Grow with, not over." Expansion must enhance the land, not consume it.
- "Every death seeds life." Recycling, ritual burial, and composting are sacred.
- "The dream must be nourished." Communal well-being and the mycelium network come before personal ambition.
- "Spores travel farther together." Collaboration over conquest.
Despite their violent origins, Bloomhold Orcs do not seek war—though when threatened, they fight with terrifying coordination, using terrain-manipulating spores and hallucinogenic cloud weapons that confuse and break armies without wasting a drop of blood.
Cultural Practices
-
Spore Festivals: Celebrated during full moons, where spores are released in mass, creating shimmering clouds that link all participants in shared hallucinations and emotional communion.
-
Flesh Harvests: Honoring deceased female orcs by respectfully consuming their remains in sacred intoxication, to "carry their bloom" into the next cycle.
-
Seedgrafting Ceremonies: Coming-of-age rituals where young orcs plant and bond with a fungal symbiote that will grow with them through life.
-
The Moss Throne: Each Bloomhold is led by a Bloom-Daughter chosen by both spore-vote and mycelial resonance—a democratic communion.

Cursed into their very existence of immortal life, vampires are not a singular race but more of a collection of 'races' from around Sel. They're all bound by one singular goal within their ever continuous life span. They will never age, they will never be able to walk amongst the harsh afternoon sun again.
This curse started back eons before even the human races was born. Goddess Tellus had been killed and while laying within the watery Aquaro's embrace her last moments of life were given to him. Becoming a mass of island chains that eventually were flooded over by his rage and grief. The only remaining aspect of Tellus in Sel's crust in the modern era is the birth place of where Aquaro's rage still silently spans in the south eastern part of Eonia's relic temple devoted to Tellus made on the singular point of her chest that peers from the waters.
These relics were originally masks created by Aquaros designed to suck the life force from whoever wore it to show his displeasure. This is where vampires were truly born from, each mask instead of stealing the life force from its victim as a cruel twist of fate due to Tellus' location extended it for eons or perhaps forever as long as they fed off others life forces. Blood of any race would do as long as their sharp fangs could pierce into anything to pull it from their body. Mucus from these individuals caused mutations to occur creating more and more vampires.
In every era vampires lived in silence, those who are bold enough get hunted, and for every hunter's dream is to come back after finding this relic to hold captive.

As generations passed, the demi-humans spread, their forms shaped by the beasts they were bound to. Most Demi-humans fall under the categories of the distinctive features they contain currently.
Moonfang Clans
• Fierce warriors bound by loyalty and instinct, protectors of the ancient ways. • Often associated with predatory animals of canidae, ursidae varieties. • Ursidae prefer to be isolated primarily even from a mated partner and sleep in the winter. • Canidae prefer to be in packs together socializing often and most likely to be enslaved.
The Stormwings
• Swift and elusive, mastering the skies as scouts, messengers, and assassins. • Often taking the appearance of semi-bird like features such as wings that are unable to be retracted based on region.
The Ironmanes
• Proud and regal, ruling over great prides as warlords/warladies. • Often are services of humanity willingly in armies, in exchange for more freedom and interaction in human settlements. • Take on feline appearances based on region. • Often seen as aloof but friendly once warmed up to.
The Rootborne
• Peaceful nomads and mystics, bound to the land and its deep, forgotten magic. • Taking on more Ruminant and prefer to be vegetarian commonly. • Has a high sense of being able to discern plants from one another naturally.
The Tidemarked
• Ruthless hunters of the sea, feared by sailors and respected by water elementals. • Often taking on more aquatic variant forms based on region and type.
Note: -> While Elementals may take a Demi-Human appearance they are not Demi-Humans due to having a 'true state' which is an appearance they hide in the presence of other races unless they are comfortable with the individual that they cannot change. - #16Faction: Unbound.

The Unbound believe that the Binding Ritual is a perversion of the natural order. To them, elves are not symbols of unity between humans and elementals, but products of enslavement. For centuries, humans have ruled with stolen power, binding elementals to their will and forging the elves of Sel as their offspring. The Binding Ritual—an ancient practice forcing an elemental to share its essence with a human partner—was a tool of control, not creation. Humans saw it as their birthright, how they could stand among the magical beings of the world, wielding magic that was never theirs to begin with. Unaware of the conflicting creation of how their offspring of elves would be seen.
Unbound see humans as parasites—beings without inherent magic who have stolen it from the primordial forces of the world. Where humans justify their rule with the claim that they have "tamed the wild magic," the Unbound argue that magic was never meant to be owned, only respected.
Their core beliefs are as follows:
• The Elementals Must Be Freed – Every bound elemental is a victim of oppression. Whether they serve willingly or unwillingly, they are not free. • The Binding Ritual Must End – The creation of elves is an act of force, no matter how willingly it is performed. The Unbound refuse to partake in the ritual, instead choosing to strengthen their elemental side rather than their human lineage. • Humans Cannot Be Trusted – They will always seek to dominate magic, and as such, their rule must be overthrown. The most radical of the Unbound believe that humans should be purged from magic entirely, cut off from the very forces they have exploited for centuries.
Elves, even if part of the faction on occasion are more tolerated by the younger Elementals or those elder Elementals that find their present to be a tool more making these older Elementals no better then humans.

While the Unbound rage against humanity for its centuries of elemental enslavement, another faction stands as a beacon of unity—the Concord of Bindings.
The Concord is an alliance between humans and elementals who believe that the Binding Ritual is not inherently evil but rather an agreement between mutual benefits created from understanding and power. Instead of seeing the ritual as enslavement, they seek to redefine it as a sacred bond, a true partnership between mortals and primordial beings.
To them, cooperation, not rebellion, is the key to a future where all can thrive together. Creating new elves out of love or willingness, rather than malice.
#History The Concord was founded by High Speaker Lysara Vaelith, a human with a loving elemental partner. She underwent the ritual binding herself between her and her water elemental partner (Irisinaa). Viewing their love as a pure and noble act to show that not everything is as history makes it. Lysara believed that instead of fighting for control over magic, the three races should learn from one another and embrace their unique strengths. Being able to create a world of structure, beauty, and innovation.
• Humans bring innovation, ambition, and structure—the ability to create civilizations and harness magic in new ways. • Elementals embody raw, untamed power—a connection to the world that neither elves nor humans can truly replicate. • Elves serve as the bridge between the two, capable of understanding both human ambition and elemental freedom.
#Beliefs of the Concord: The Concord stands on three sacred principles.
I. Binding Ritual Must Be Reformed, Not Destroyed. • The old way of binding—forcing an elemental into servitude—is wrong. -> Instead, the ritual should be voluntary, a mutual sharing of power rather than an act of domination. -> Willing elementals who bond with humans retain their autonomy and are treated as honored partners rather than slaves.
II. Cooperation is Stronger than Rebellion. • The Unbound see humans as parasites, but the Concord believes that human ingenuity and ambition are invaluable. -> Rather than tearing down human civilization, they seek to integrate elementals into society as equals.
III.Balance Must Be Maintained. • The elemental wilds must not be exploited, but neither should magic be hoarded by one race. -> Instead Elementals are willing to choose jobs they feel align with their personalities as a calling to them. • The Concord ensures that all races have equal access to magical knowledge, preventing the abuse of power by any one group. -> Behalf of Elementals and Humans having a partnership that may properly match when a Binding is taking place for complimentary traits to one another to improve each partner before being permitted.

Knights of Hope
The Knights of Hope are an elite order of warriors who serve as the defenders of Apolicus’ faith and the enforcers of his laws when no Saint has been chosen. Unlike the Saint, they possess no divine blessing, but their unwavering dedication, brutal training, and unyielding sense of justice make them formidable protectors of the weak and upholders of sacred law.
Purpose and Duty
The Knights of Hope exist to fill the void left in the absence of a Saint. They are trained to act as instruments of divine justice, ensuring Apolicus’ laws are upheld and that his people remain protected. Their primary duties include:
•Defending the Helpless – Acting as protectors for those without power, ensuring the safety of the downtrodden and oppressed. •Upholding the Sacred Laws – Enforcing Apolicus' commandments with an iron will, ensuring that justice is carried out fairly and without bias. •Serving as Judge and Executioner – In collaboration with the Lighthood of Apolicus, they oversee public trials in chapels or sacred sites, ensuring judgment is delivered in accordance with divine law. • Training Future Saints – Should a Saint be born, the Knights of Hope prepare them for their role, acting as mentors and bodyguards until they are ready to wield their divine gifts. • Leading Crusades and Holy Battles – In times of war, they rally the faithful, standing at the front lines in defense of Apolicus' followers.
Brutal Training and Sacrifice
To ensure their strength rivals that of a Saint, the Knights of Hope undergo grueling training that mimics the hardships endured by the first Saint of Apolicus. Their training is designed to break weakness, forge resilience, and instill an unwavering commitment to justice.
•Survival in Extremes – Trainees are left in the wilderness with no food, forced to endure hunger, exhaustion, and battle the elements with nothing but their willpower and skill. • Endurance through Pain – They undergo excruciating physical trials, training their bodies to endure immense suffering, simulating the sacrifices the first Saint made for their people. • Mastery of Any Weapon – Unlike other knightly orders, the Knights of Hope are trained to wield anything as a weapon—be it a sword, an axe, or a simple farming tool—ensuring they are never defenseless. • Mental Fortitude Training – Meditation, deprivation, and trials of isolation test their ability to withstand fear, despair, and the temptations of power. • The Trial of Judgment – The final test before becoming a full-fledged Knight of Hope is to stand in judgment before the Lighthood of Apolicus. They must prove that their devotion to justice outweighs personal desires, ensuring they will never wield their power for selfish or corrupt purposes.
The Role of the Knights of Hope in Society
The presence of the Knights of Hope is a symbol of stability and unwavering justice in times of uncertainty. Without a Saint to act as Apolicus’ chosen hand, the people look to the Knights for guidance and protection. Their role in society includes:
• Guardians of Worship – Every chapel and temple dedicated to Apolicus is safeguarded by Knights, ensuring places of faith remain untouched by corruption or violence. • Executioners of Divine Will – Those who violate Apolicus’ laws, especially those guilty of the gravest crimes, face punishment at the hands of the Knights. Their justice is swift and without hesitation. • Balancers of Law and Mercy – While they are warriors, they are also charged with ensuring justice does not become blind cruelty. Their duty is to weigh guilt and intent before enacting punishment. • Protectors of Holy Relics – Many artifacts and sacred items belonging to the faith are under their watch, preventing them from falling into the wrong hands.
The Legacy of the Knights of Hope
Though they lack the divine power of a Saint, the Knights of Hope stand as living testaments to Apolicus’ ideals. Their existence ensures that his laws never waver, that his people remain protected, and that should a Saint arise, they will be prepared to guide them on the path of justice.
They are not merely warriors; they are the unbreakable will of the faithful, forged in sacred fire of their god and willing to adhere to strict regulations to keep order.

Lighthood Apolicus
The Lighthood of Apolicus is the sacred order of priests and priestesses who serve as the divine shepherds of Apolicus' faith. They uphold his laws, guide the faithful, and act as intermediaries between mortals and the god’s will. The order is structured into a rigid hierarchy, ensuring a balance between governance, wisdom, and divine justice.
Hierarchy and Roles
I. The Arch-Luminara (High Priest/Priestess) • At the pinnacle of the Lighthood is the Arch-Luminara, a single individual chosen through divine revelation or by the Saint of Apolicus. They are the supreme spiritual leader, responsible for interpreting Apolicus' will, preserving doctrine, and guiding the faithful. Their word is second only to the Saint, and they hold the power to declare holy crusades, sanctify new temples, and judge the gravest transgressions.
II. The Luminars (High Priests and Priestesses) • Below the Arch-Luminara are the Luminars, senior clergy members who oversee large regions, temples, and sacred sites. They are scholars of divination, law, and doctrine, ensuring the teachings of Apolicus remain pure. Luminars often act as counselors to rulers, guiding them toward justice and adherence to divine law.
III. The Dawnbearers (Mid-Tier Clergy) The Dawnbearers are the heart of the Lighthood, leading ceremonies, performing blessings, and tending to the spiritual needs of their communities. They are skilled in divination, using sacred rites and relics to glimpse Apolicus’ will. Their responsibilities include:
• Interpreting omens through visions, dreams, and celestial movements. • Seeking guidance on matters of justice, war, and leadership. • Blessing warriors before battle, ensuring their faith strengthens them. • Healing the afflicted through sacred prayers and rituals.
IV. The Emberwards (Initiates and Acolytes) The Emberwards are initiates training to become full members of the Lighthood. They dedicate themselves to study, prayer, and service in temples, learning the arts of divination and healing. Some eventually ascend to higher ranks, while others devote themselves to serving the poor and maintaining the sacred sites.
Divination and the Will of Apolicus
The Lighthood of Apolicus possesses unique and sacred methods of divination, used to uncover truths hidden in the mortal realm and interpret the god’s will. These rituals are conducted only by those deemed worthy, as misinterpreting the divine can lead to ruin.
I. The Flames of Judgment A sacred fire is lit using consecrated oils, and questions of justice are asked. If the flames burn bright, Apolicus approves; if they flicker and darken, the path is unworthy. This method is often used in trials where guilt or innocence is uncertain.
II. The Echoing Choir A group of Dawnbearers gathers in meditation, chanting prayers until one receives a divine whisper—a cryptic message believed to come from Apolicus himself. This method is used when seeking guidance on great wars, leadership changes, or impending dangers.
III. The Tears of the Saint A holy relic, often a vial containing the dried tears of a past Saint, is placed in water. If the water turns dark, it is a sign of impending disaster or sin festering within the land. If it glows faintly, Apolicus’ favor remains strong. This method is rarely used, as it can only be performed in the holiest temples.
IV. The Blood-Veil Ritual Reserved only for the Arch-Luminara, this ritual involves fasting, meditation, and an offering of one’s own blood upon a sacred altar. The visions received are said to be the clearest connection to Apolicus, though they often come at great physical and mental cost.
The Role of the Lighthood in Society
The priests and priestesses of the Lighthood serve as the moral compass of Apolicus’ faithful, ensuring his laws are upheld across the land. Their influence is vast, and their duties include:
• Mediating disputes to prevent unnecessary bloodshed. • Training warriors in the ethical use of violence and the weight of justice. • Cleansing corruption within cities, nobles, and even their own ranks. • Protecting the oppressed and ensuring all are treated with dignity, even those outside the faith. • While they are not warriors like the Saint, the Lighthood wields power in ways that are just as crucial—through faith, wisdom, and the ability to glimpse the will of their god. They are the keepers of balance, ensuring that justice does not become cruelty and mercy does not turn to weakness.

The old gods had fallen. Their temples lay in ruin, their names whispered only in forgotten tongues. When the last of them perished in the heavens above, their power did not fade—it shattered into countless fragments, scattering across the world. The divine flame that once kept the balance between humanity and the primordial forces was extinguished.
And in the silence that followed, war began. Without the gods of old to enforce harmony, humanity saw an opportunity. For centuries, they had envied the elementals—beings of raw, untamed magic, creatures whose very essence was woven from fire, water, earth, and air. Humans being forsaken from claiming magic in any sense drove them to undergo a ritual. The Demi-Humans created from the pact with the gods of old faltered slowly.
So the kings of men turned their ambitions skyward. And the first chains were cast.
At first, it was subtle. A few elementals went missing, torn from the rivers, the winds, the molten depths of the world. Human—seeking to ascend beyond their mortal limitations—discovered the Ritual of Binding, creating the items of: Elemental Bindings allowing the first passing Elemental to enslave another. Creating a never ending chain. Only an Elemental that is dying can create the Elemental Bindings. Which allowed humans to fully innovate without the limitations of their lack of magic. Siphoning their power into weapons, cities, and armies. Entire nations were forged with stolen strength, their places of dwellings being built on the backs of every enslaved elemental.
It was only a matter of time before the elementals retaliated. Creating the faction of the Unbound which went into hiding gathering allies of other races. Then it happened the first druids were born. A byproduct of Bindings, the first elves were born into the world between Demi-Humans, and Elementals creating an unnatural creature that could transform the wilds subtly while living within it's natural laws.

Every ruler must come to an end, it's the natural cycle to behold to create a new reign. The balance will always be rising to always cycle and repeat. Power was something that the children of old gods and goddesses craved deeply. Something to reflect their envy, jealousy, and forced servant roles.
As time wore on, rebellion fired through their veins. Each child was birthed from the unions of their parents Aerios, Aquaos, Tellus, and Ardora. This rebellion wouldn't last long as war raged between parents and children. Ending with a price being paid, and that price is the death of Tellus the slowest among the older generation.
When Tellus' death rattled the foundations of Sel's crust turning and churning the soils of the planet endlessly no longer stable enough to keep together. Being swept away by tides, burned down by fires, and eroded away by the winds. The decision was made that one child would have to take the place of Tellus.
Paeleah the child of Tellus willing bound herself to replace the mother she had lost. Embracing the pathing of fire and earth combined she melted Sel's crusts together to reform where races would live. Allowing the world to always be ever-changing and ever-growing.

Apolicus being the most influential god had systematic laws to place for those who visited specific locations to worship or were gifted visions to make places of humanity. Most humans worship or at least have heard of his name due to the secondary role he played in placing his parent gods within prisons.
The Sacred Laws of Apolicus
I. The Law of Freedom and Equality • All beings, regardless of race, origin, or status, are born free and equal under the eyes of Apolicus. • No individual shall be subjected to slavery, servitude, or unjust subjugation.
II. The Law of Life and Care • Every person is deserving of care, shelter, and sustenance, regardless of their standing or belief. • It is the duty of Apolicus’ followers to aid the suffering without judgment or discrimination.
III. The Law of Justice • To harm another without just cause is to invite the Saint’s retribution. • Justice shall be swift and decisive against those who commit acts of cruelty, oppression, or needless violence. Only enacted by the priests and priestesses of Apolicus after divination communication with Apolicus. • Those who take life unjustly forfeit their own, to be judged by Apolicus or his chosen enforcers.
IV. The Law of Wrath • Those who commit acts of assault, violence, or oppression will incur Apolicus' wrath. • The severity of punishment shall match the crime, ensuring balance and retribution.
V. The Law of the Sacred Sin • Sexual violence is the greatest abomination in the eyes of Apolicus. • Perpetrators of such acts shall face only one sentence: death, delivered by the Saint, the Church, or the faithful. • There shall be no sanctuary, pardon, or redemption for such crimes.
VI. The Law of Universal Ethics • All individuals, whether within or outside the faith, shall be treated with the same respect and ethical standard. • The virtues of Apolicus extend beyond his followers, and all beings shall be judged fairly under his laws.
VII. The Law of the Saint’s Judgment • The Saint, as Apolicus’ chosen, is the highest authority in matters of divine justice. • Their word is law, their judgment final, and their duty to uphold these sacred commandments without compromise.
The right hand of Apolicus:
Among all the races of Sel, humans, though lacking magical gifts, proved the most receptive to Apolicus' teachings and warnings. When the threat of the god’s adversaries grew dire, the first Saint emerged—an individual who upheld justice even when forced to break certain rules to protect others from enslavement or death. Though they had sinned against Apolicus’ laws, their unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice led to divine forgiveness. Recognizing their devotion, Apolicus bestowed upon them his blessing.
At first, this blessing seemed modest, granting resilience against mild magic and a hardier constitution through faith. However, its true power revealed itself in battle. When engaged in combat, the Saint would enter a brutal trance—a state of sadistic fervor where the agony and terror of their enemies became a source of strength. In this state, they could heal allies or, if none remained, resurrect them upon the enemy’s defeat. Beyond this, their powers were tied to faith and the virtues of each newly anointed Saint.
The title of Saint of Apolicus is granted only once per generation, bestowed upon a hand-selected champion by the god himself. From childhood, these chosen individuals undergo trials of faith, growing in strength as they prove their devotion. However, their power comes with risk—the more they embrace violence, the greater the chance of being consumed by their bloodthirsty trance.
From the inception of Apolicus’ worship, the Saint has been a beacon for the downtrodden, offering aid without judgment. Their teachings formed a faith that spanned generations, centered on the belief that all are free, equal, and deserving of life. To harm another without just cause invites the Saint’s wrath. Above all, Apolicus deems sexual violence the gravest sin, one that demands the swiftest and most severe retribution that must be enacted without his priests or priestesses nearby.
