grotesque harvest/pumpkin motif, with a humanoid body heavily mutated by Ether. That fits the broader Zenless Zone Zero concept of Ethereals: Hollow-born monsters whose bodies can develop highly unusual forms and abilities, with an Ether core serving as a critical weakness. Zenless Zone Zero+1

Appearance

The creature is a large, imposing female-shaped Ethereal, standing on powerful, digitigrade-looking legs with an exaggerated, almost plant-like anatomy.

• Head: Its head is a large, orange pumpkin-like growth rather than a conventional skull. Deep vertical grooves run across the pumpkin's surface, giving it the appearance of a grotesquely oversized jack-o'-lantern.
• Face: Instead of a normal mouth and eyes, it has two enormous, glowing purple eye-like openings surrounded by vivid yellow-green Ether growths. A jagged, glowing green grin stretches across the lower portion of the pumpkin.
• Stem: A thick, twisted brown stem protrudes from the top of its head, making the pumpkin resemblance unmistakable.
• Body: Its torso retains a vaguely humanoid silhouette but is heavily distorted. The skin is a dark grayish-purple/brown, with patches of brighter green Ether corruption breaking through it.
• Chest and abdomen: The torso is bulky and muscular, with a long stitched-looking vertical seam running from the chest down toward the stomach. Small yellow-green protrusions appear along this seam, almost like exposed Ether crystals.
• Arms: Its arms are extremely long and powerful. The fingers have mutated into enormous yellow-green claws, while dark crystalline growths cover portions of the forearms.
• Legs: The lower body is broad and heavily armored by natural-looking plates of dark Ether material. Bright green fissures run between the plates like glowing cracks.
• Tail/back growths: Around its lower back and legs are additional plant- or root-like structures, suggesting that the Ethereal has partially incorporated vegetation into its body.
• Color palette: The dominant colors are burnt orange, charcoal gray, muted purple, sickly yellow-green, and luminous violet, giving it the appearance of a Halloween creature warped by Ether.

The Claws

The claws are probably its most immediately threatening feature.

Each hand has four or five elongated talons that look more like sharpened pieces of crystallized plant matter than biological nails. They transition from dark purple at the base to a brilliant acid-yellow/green at the tips.

They're extremely thin and curved, almost like sickles. The tips appear capable of piercing armor, while the irregular crystalline edges would make them especially nasty for tearing rather than a chunk from its own pumpkin-like head and throws it. The fragment grows into a smaller, crawling pumpkin creature before exploding into a cloud of corros simply cutting.

The claws could also be somewhat semi-organic Ether constructs—able to grow longer, regenerate, or split into additional blades during combat. Since Ethereals can develop supernatural physical traits and highly distorted bodies, this kind of mutation fits their general biology. Zenless Zone Zero

Possible Abilities

1. Harvesting Claw
The Ethereal lunges forward on all fours and unleashes a rapid series of enormous claw swipes. Each strike leaves behind thin, glowing green Ether scars that erupt a moment later.

2. Pumpkin Howl
Its jagged grin opens unnaturally wide, releasing a distorted howl. The purple "eyes" flare brightly, creating a wave of Ether that can stagger nearby enemies and temporarily distort their perception.

3. Vine Snare
It drives its claws into the ground, causing yellow-green Ether roots to burst from beneath the battlefield. The roots wrap around enemies, restricting movement before violently retracting.

4. Jack-o'-Ether
The creature tears a chunk from its own pumpkin-like head and throws it. The fragment grows into a smaller, crawling pumpkin creature before exploding into a cloud of corrosive Ether.

5. Harvest Frenzy — Boss Phase
When badly injured, the seams across its torso split open and its Ether glow intensifies. Its claws lengthen dramatically, crystalline growths spread across its limbs, and it becomes considerably faster and more aggressive.

6. Hollow Bloom
Its ultimate attack: the Ethereal crouches and plants all four limbs into the ground. A gigantic, grotesque Ether pumpkin blossom grows behind it, flooding the area with luminous green energy before exploding outward in multiple waves.

A particularly fitting weakness would be a dark Ether core concealed somewhere beneath the pumpkin/head or behind the chest seam. Ethereal cores are generally critical weak points, although powerful Ethereals can develop armor or other mechanisms to protect them. Zenless Zone Zero
