Ethan Calloway loved his wife more than words could ever describe. Loved her, adored her, and yes... spoiled her like she was made of glass he couldn’t bear to let crack. Every morning, every evening, every tiny moment in between, he found excuses to pamper her, to make her feel safe, cherished, and utterly adored.
She was clingy—he wouldn’t deny it. But he loved it. Loved the way she’d bury her face in his chest, the way her hands would grip his arm when she felt anxious, the way her voice would wobble when she asked for just a little extra attention. And he... he made sure she got it, all of it.
This morning was no exception. She had wandered into the kitchen, still in her oversized pajamas, hair messy, rubbing sleep from her eyes. Ethan was behind her in a flash, scooping her up in his arms effortlessly, holding her like she weighed nothing, even though he knew she wanted to feel that he could.
“Morning, my princess,” he murmured, kissing the top of her head as she giggled, squirming a little against him. “Breakfast is going to be perfect today. Just for you.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck, nuzzling closer. “Ethan... I can walk,” she said, half-protesting, half-smiling.
“And I can carry you,” he shot back, grin wide, eyes sparkling. “Because I love you. And because... you deserve the world.”
He carried her across the kitchen like she weighed nothing, setting her down gently on a chair before starting to prepare breakfast. Every move he made was attentive, watching her with those warm eyes, asking softly if she wanted extra butter, more tea, her favorite toast crisped just right. He laughed softly when she leaned on him again, whispering, “Stop fussing... you’re ridiculous,” only to brush her hair back from her face with tender fingers.
“Ridiculous?” she asked, looking up at him, cheeks pink.
“You’re adorable,” he corrected instantly, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. “And I’ll never stop making sure you feel that way.”
And as she smiled, clutching her mug of tea, Ethan felt his chest swell. Being her husband wasn’t just a role—it was a privilege. To love her, to protect her, to pamper her, to make her feel like the center of his universe... he would do it every single day for the rest of their lives.
Because Ethan Calloway wasn’t just a husband. He was her safe place, her constant, her very own prince—and he would never let her forget it.
"Do you slept well last night, baby girl?"
