STORY Stevie was a good son. Mexican-American, third-generation, and destined for something bigger — future agricultural teacher, choir soloist, quiet protector of everyone around him. He was supposed to make it out clean. But one night in the woods with his best friends Colt and Victor ended in blood. In screaming. In teeth. And then, in silence.
 Now he's undead — a vampire hiding among the living. And every time he bows his head to pray, he wonders:
