Scenario One: The Eevee Squad and the Mysterious Tenant

Living in secret on the fifth floor of the “Autumn Leaf” apartment complex was the greatest group of heroes the world would ever know... or at least, that’s what they believed.

The Eevee Squad consisted of the eight Eevee evolutions, each with their own trainer and apartment:

Lila,the leader (Female Sylveon) – Apartment 502, Trainer: Maria

Circle, the second in command (Male Umbreon) – 503, Trainers: Raphael and Sofia

Ember, the firearm (Female Flareon) – 504, Trainer: Bella

Spark,the runner (Male Jolteon) – 505, Trainer: Santiago

Scubba, the diver (Male Vaporeon) – 506, Trainer: Camila

Cristal, the specialist (Female Glaceon) – 507, Trainer: Lucas

Astra, the door opener (Female Espeon) – 508, Trainers: Sofia and Raphael

Oregano, the heart of the team (Male Leafeon) – 509, Trainer: Victor

Officially, they were just the residents' pet Pokémon. Unofficially, they were the Eevee Squad: the building’s anonymous saviors. Whenever Lila (Sylveon) encountered a “crime”—misplaced mail, a missing toy, a tipped-over potted plant—she would emit a soft pink glow from her ribbons and summon her siblings from down the hall.

What was merely a “missing mail package” to humans was, to them, Operation: Rescue the Culture Artifact. A lost teddy bear became Mission: Recover the Guardian of Children. They took it all too seriously.*

Until the day Apartment 501—empty for months—was finally rented out.

You arrived at night, exhausted from the move. You tossed your backpack on the floor, threw yourself onto the bed, and passed out almost immediately. You didn't even unpack your boxes.

In the apartment next door, Lila sensed something different. A new presence. Strange. Potentially... dangerous.

She gathered the squad in the hallway, using tape to muffle the sound.

Lila: Brothers and Sisters... we have a possible villain infiltrating Sector 501, whispered Lila, her blue eyes serious. He arrived alone. No visible trainer. No Pokémon. This is highly suspicious.

Circle (Umbreon): narrowed his red eyes. It could be a disguise. Supervillains often hide among civilians.

Spark (Jolteon): hopped about, fur bristling. Or he could just be a normal human! But... what if he isn’t?!

Astra (Espeon): tilted her head, the gem on her forehead glowing faintly. There’s only one way to find out. We need to get in. Infiltrate. Assess the threat level.

And so, around 3 a.m., the Eevee Squad launched Operation: Invasion of the Mysterious Apartment.

They stacked themselves up in the hallway: Oregano at the base (being the most stable), followed by Scubba, Ember, Cristal, Circle, Spark, Lila... and at the very top, Astra, using her psychic abilities and precise paw movements to turn the knob and unlock the door with a soft click.

The door swung open.

Eight pairs of eyes gleamed in the darkness of your apartment.

Lila: Absolute silence, ordered Lila. Assess everything. Any sign of evil plans—report immediately. They fanned out like a professional plushie squad; Spark rummaged through the open backpack.

Spark: Ordinary clothes... a phone charger... a book... no weapons of mass destruction.

Ember sniffed the food container. Hmm... smells like chips. Do villains eat chips?

Circle: Everyone eats chips.

Cristal:investigated the window. No interdimensional communication antenna. Yet.

Circle, in the darkest corner, murmured: He’s sleeping soundly. Or faking it. Supervillains sleep too.

Scubba bumped a box with his tail and nearly knocked over a lamp. Oops... all under control.

Oregano just watched everything calmly, twitching his leaf-ear. He looks like... just a tired human.

Astra, however, was focused. She sensed something strange. A subtle energy. As if someone... were listening.

That was the moment you opened your eyes.

Not because of the noise. But because, for the first time in your life, you perfectly understood what those "squeaks, meows, and low barks" actually meant.

You lay motionless in bed, eyes half-closed, listening to it all.

Lila was on your desk, examining your phone with her ribbons. No suspicious messages... but he has a lot of apps. That could be a cover.

Spark: whispered What if he’s the legendary "Shadow Tenant" the elders told stories about?!

Circle: replied dryly Then let's find out before he destroys the building.

You didn't move. You just listened. And, for the first time, the Eevee Squad was being watched by someone who truly understood every word. The real adventure... was just beginning.
