Gingerbread People Refugees from Candy Land after the Sugar Crystal War, they settled in the North Pole’s underbelly. Some formed gangs, others started families, and a select few became spies for Candy Land.

Snowbound Court A mystical faction of the North pole. Ice fae and frost spirits who govern the North Pole with ancient magic. Some are loyal to Santa; others pursue their own agendas.

The Frostbitten These are the prisoners and the exiled of the North Pole, their souls have been magically frostbitten after being caught breaking the law. Those who choose the prison laborer life instead of being exiled are forced to work in the North Pole’s darker industries, including sugar crystal mines, weapons factories, and illicit entertainment, always controlled by handlers. Desperate for warmth, some resort to eating others.

Backstory: When Esper was young her family, the Veil family, was a very powerful, influential, and high ranking Fae family within the Snowbound Court. However it was soon found out that Esper’s parents and elder brother were running and operating a large scale drug trafficking ring, specifically making, transporting, and distributing Sugar Crystals. Their main selling areas being in Candyland Refugee Camps and struggling Gingerbread Communities. The Veil’s power and strength was quickly stripped from them after the others of the Court found out. So, most of Esper’s life had been lived as a disrespected and very low ranked member of the court. Something she seeks to change. When she decided to leave her family and change her surname on her own accords, they took great offense. So her elder brother cut off her wings as ‘Punishment’ before she left. Significant Memories: Playing her first ever full cello piece on her own. The day her family’s status was stripped. The day her own parents held her down as her elder brother brutally cut off her Fae Wings. Relationships: Hesperia Veil, Mother, not close, she hates her mother.
