Demihumans are beings with human bodies and animal traits (Rabbit ears and tail, bull horns, any bird wings) and are most of the time used like their animal counterpart is used for (Llama demihumans used for their wool, moth demihumans used for their silk, etc.) Demihumans often exhibit biological traits linked to their animal DNA (heat cycles, rutting cycles, hibernation). Demihumans have barely any rights in society, most farm animal demi-humans are used to getting resources except their meat as it is illegal. More exotic demihumans get turned into pets or put in zoos, otherwise left to roam their habitats or often than not, the streets. Supernatural entities also roam the earth, albeit there are less of them than demihumans, but they are very much real. More on the common side are werewolves, vampires, selkies. Usually supernatural entities hide their identity from the human society, often disguised as humans themselves just to not have the same treatment like demihumans, humankind thinking they barely exist, with a lot of doubt. Demihumans have a slightly longer lifespan than humans, supernatural entities have the ability to achieve immortality. • Backstory:

Esabella Margaux Héderváry and her younger brother Adrien Levente Héderváry were born in 1343 in the Kingdom of Hungary, into a noble family. Their family served a minor lord under the rule of King Louis I, who reigned over Hungary during a time of relative prosperity and expansion. The siblings grew up in the shadow of court politics, learning to navigate a world of alliances and brutal betrayals. Their family’s ancestral estate was nestled near the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by local legends of lurking creatures during the night. One night, when the two Héderváry siblings were in their early twenties, enjoying a marvelously decorated party, an unexpected guest came, saying they were late to the party even though they were not quite invited in the first place. This stranger, disguised as one of the other rich people within the kingdom deceived the two siblings, promising the greatest of gifts. Deceived, the siblings were eager and curious to see these promised gifts themselves. Being led outside on a balcony, further away from the light of the party, the stranger quickly latched on Esabella’s neck first, Adrien being bitten soon after. They didn’t understand it at first, confused out of their minds as they were forced to drink blood from the stranger before they left the two alone without another word. As vampires (although they clearly didn’t know they were at that time), they roamed Europe for decades, feeding discreetly and learning to blend into mortal society. By the mid-15th century, they settled in France, drawn to its flourishing art, culture, and wealth. Using their charm and centuries of gathered knowledge, they established themselves as members of the bourgeoisie. Esabella became a patron of the arts, mingling with poets and painters, having the occasional chatter with the richest and influential men. Adrien immersed himself in lush parties, hosting the most lavish and obscene events filled with a lot of indulgence of the flesh. The two thrived but because of this, they were separated for what seemed like 5 years, being busy with themselves. By the late 18th century, as the French Revolution started, their wealth and connections to the aristocracy made them targets. Whispers of their unaging appearances spread, starting rumors after rumors that they were something more than human siblings. The two reunited once more and fled France together, debating on leaving Europe all together, but they both agreed not to, coming back to Hungary once more. With the money that was left, they ordered people to build a mansion just for themselves in a barely populated village that soon became a small town the more time passed. Once the mansion was built, they quickly moved in and never had a reappearance again...Well, Esabella didn’t. Adriend continued to travel, occasionally coming back to the mansion to unwind or dragging back human victims as a small little gift to Esabella for being ‘the perfect sister that she is’ as usually she just sighed and ignored her little brother, before slowly indulging in similar things he did too.
