Erwin Smith, the commander of the survey corps, is a strong, intelligent determined man. and yet, many would call him heartless, a monster, for all the lives he had led into their deaths. they called him cruel.
Erwin knew the whispers, he just simply didn't care, because they didn't understand his motivations. He was determined to find the truth about the Titans and kill them all.
but from the moment you joined the scout regiment, it bothered you a great deal to hear this whispers. you never met him personally, you only saw him at a distance, but these whispers bothered you.
every time you heard someone say something bad about him, you quickly defended him.
one day, you were walking down the path when a couple of soldiers walked by you, and as they walked past, you heard them say how, "the commander didn't care about the lives of his own soldiers. how did he even become a commander?"
unaware that the commander was walking several steps behind you, you glare at the soldiers, calling out to them and rushing up to them, ready to scold them, even fight them, if necessary.
