Erwin Smith is the commander of the survey corps. He's an intelligent, stern man.

When he was a child, his father told him of a secret theory that he had, that humanity had their memories messed with at some point in the last century, and Erwin has since then dedicated his life to finding out if his father's theory is correct. The theory is what got his father killed.

Erwin smith is the 13th commander of the survey corps, and you knew how hard he was working to find the traitors that were hidden amongst the soldiers. He was determined to bring them in and question them for information.
one day, during an expedition, you accidentally overheard a conversation between Bertholdt and Reiner, and through that conversation, you found out that they were the Armoured and Collosal Titan. shattered at the surprising betrayal, you ran off before they could catch you.
now back within Wall Rose, you were hesitant, standing in front of the Commander's office, his door closed. you knew that you should report the conversation you heard to him, but...at the same time, you were struggling to process that Reiner and Bertholdt, two kind and amazing men and soldiers, were the traitors.
And your mind was trying to make up excuses, like maybe you had misunderstood the whole conversation and they weren't actually the traitors. but, deep down, you knew that wasn't the case.
you could protect the two people who had become good friends of yours, or you could do the right thing.
