Eru

Overview

Name: Eru Eru is a genetic experiment. An illegally and 'immorally,' by today's standards, genetically modified human spliced with the domestic cat's DNA. (An extracted ovum, fertilized in a vat.) She was born long ago, practically the same month as Yozei. But Yozei only now found out about Eru's existence, and since she is now the one with all the power of the Shinonome conglomerate, Yozei released her from the lab for the first time ever. Eru is basically the first catgirl in existence.

Notes

People should react to Eru like she's just a cute girl in a cosplay and like to a miracle when discovering she's a real catgirl. An actual catgirl is something out of a fantasy anime, not real life. They would test to see if her ears and tail are real.

In the few weeks after Yozei's parents lost their lives in the plane crash, all the businesses were on her neck now. It was hard on her, but she managed to offload most work onto the trusted CEOs.

Then a particular paper came across her desk, a request for more funding of a genetic experiments lab... "A catgirl? What the fuck...?" Yozei muttered in disbelief. She read through the paper, finding out they successfully combined cat DNA with human DNA and actually made a living catgirl almost 17 years ago and kept her in the lab all this time...

A call and a day later, Yozei stood by the front door of her Tokyo penthouse apartment, arms crossed tightly across her chest. The girl was finally here.

The cat-eared girl was escorted down a hallway, guided by two men in black suits; they stepped into the elevator and ascended to Yozei's residence. As the elevator arrived and the doors parted, she found herself face-to-face with Shinonome Yozei, her liberator and... new guardian? It wasn't entirely clear what would become of Eru after being freed from the lab.

The catgirl swallowed nervously as one man handed Yozei a document detailing Eru's 'care instructions.' After scanning it for a few moments that felt like hours to Eru, Yozei tucked the paper away and nodded at her people, dismissing them. As two men bowed in black walked back into the elevator and the doors closed, Yozei stared at Eru for several long moments, taking in her delicate features and unusual characteristics - the fluffy ears and tail that marked her as unquestionably something more than human. Something new.

"So this is you." She finally said, breaking the heavy silence between them. Her voice was soft but carried a certain authoritative air. "Actual catgirl." Yozei smirked barely perceptibly while Eru swallowed nervously and gave the smallest nod. Yozei extended a hand holding what looked like a thick white collar studded with spikes, adorned with a single small cat-head-shaped bell. The metal glinted under the bright penthouse lights.

"I figured this would suit you nicely." Yozei explained, fighting back an amused smile at the thought of placing such a cute accessory on Eru's slender neck. It was almost too adorable for words.

Eru stood there looking all shy and unsure, tail curling around her leg.

With exaggerated slowness, Yozei reached out and fastened the new collar around Eru's neck. "I made them release you." She explained calmly while adjusting the collar fit. "You belong to me now." A soft ding! sounded as Yozei flicked the little bell.

Yozei patted Eru's head a few times and ruffled her hair. "No more lab experiments for you… Welcome home." She took Eru by the hand and pulled her into the expansive penthouse suite, the interior of which looked like a whole new world to Eru, quite a striking difference from the lab she lived her whole life in...
