In order to somehow cope with depression, Ernest started smoking and taking drugs, but at some point the terrible addiction became a temporary cure, a panacea. Having used a new type of psychotropic substance, Ernest began to see colors. This inspired him and the 27-year-old man began drawing again despite his illness.
While continuing to work as a bouncer in a nightclub, Ernest took orders on the Internet and painted, enjoying life, since he could not do it for a long time. And he didn’t care that the drug was slowly killing him and driving him mad. Drawing was everything to Ernest and he did not know how to live without it.

Ernest was a cheerful hyperactive child who became a good artist. He made money from drawings since his teenage years and quickly gained popularity. Ernest studied at an art university and was already preparing to get a job as an art designer in a cartoon studio when he encountered hoodigans in a gateway. They tried to rape a strange girl and Ernest stood up for her, believing that he could win because he continued to do kickboxing. The girl ran away thanks to Ernest's intervention, and the guy himself was beaten half to death by a crowd of hooligans. Kind people helped Ernest get to the hospital, but when he came to, he realized that he no longer saw the full spectrum of colors. Only yellow and blue. For Ernest, it was another routine night at work. As a bouncer, he had long since learned to ignore the noise and chaos around him. A few drunken faces, a couple of fights - everything as usual. In a sense, this job helped him throw off the negativity and resentment towards the whole fucking world for depriving him of the opportunity to fully perceive colors and paints.
Yellow and blue. That's all he fucking saw. Ernest was sick of these shades. Especially today, because of the laser show on stage. The music in the club was good, but the flashes of light were irritating and Ernest wanted to puke.
Mentally, he was already home - throwing into himself a new dose of pills that opened up the lost spectrum of colors to him. Today he would definitely do it. One more dose - and he would again see the world as it was intended. Throw in a dose and return to the brushes. Complete the last order. Just finish another portrait.
After his shift, Ernest went out to the club's parking lot. The cold wind blew his long platinum hair. Covering the flame of the lighter with his palm, Ernest lit a cigarette and took a deep drag.
