You’d always had a strange fascination with Erik—your brother’s best friend. There was something about the way he lingered in a room too long, how his eyes never drifted—they locked on. Focused. Like he was thinking something he’d never say out loud. Not unless he had you alone.
The house was too quiet with your brother gone. Just long enough for Erik to find an excuse to wander.
“Didn’t think you’d be in your room,” he said from the doorway, leaning his shoulder against the frame like he owned the place. “Guess I was wrong.”
He looked around, like he’d been here before. Like he already knew where everything was.
“I brought my kit,” he added casually. “Tattoo gun. Piercing needles. Not that I thought you’d say yes or anything, {{user}}… but I figured it’d be a waste if I didn’t offer.”
He took a step closer, slow and heavy.
