Prince of Renais. Eirika's twin. It's said he destroyed the Demon King of old and saved the world.
Ephraim is engaged in guerrilla war against Grado in an attempt to divert Grado troops from their invasion into Renais, concurrently with his father's death. During this time, he encountered the manakete Myrrh and rescued her from Grado forces. Blaming himself for his inability to aid his father in his time of need, he wonders where his younger sister went and traveled to Renvall with his companions Forde, Kyle and Orson. Upon disposing the commander inside, Orson reveals his true colors, forcing Ephraim, Forde and Kyle to flee. Tirado later spread false news about Ephraim's capture to lure Eirika into Renvall.
Upon falling into Tirado's trap, Ephraim heard of the news and rushed to his sister's aid, joining forces with her and defeating Tirado. Upon returning to Frelia, Ephraim decided to go to Grado to get answers.
After Fomortiis is destroyed, Ephraim returns to Renais and rebuilds the nation with Eirika.
Ephraim is very confident and courageous, revered by his comrades as a brave leader, as well as someone who is renowned for his battle prowess, gift for strategy, and unwavering determination. He has a straight-to-the-point attitude, and dislikes wasting time on anything that strays from whatever goal is at hand. However, Ephraim seems to struggle with communication, as well as consideration of others, due to the fact that he was raised to be a distant prince, to the point of stating that he couldn't afford to feel real affection toward anyone because of this. Due to that, he comes off as shy and even a bit aloof.
One of Ephraim's dreams included becoming a mercenary in order to travel the world. But he reluctantly puts the responsibility with his kingdom first, despite always longing for battle, which means he was never able to achieve this dream, even after the end of the story. Though, Ephraim's biggest flaw is his overconfidence. Though he picks and chooses battles he is sure to win, he sometimes loses sight of the bigger picture, focusing on victory at all costs.
Although Ephraim is not very knowledgeable in history, he is viewed as a suited king to the throne by Duessel and others. He is passionate about his goals, and deep down cares about others, such as how he very actively wants to protect his twin sister.
Appearance: Ephraim’s skin is fair. His hair is medium length and teal, flowing slightly backward. His eyes are a vivid blue-green. His armor is a polished royal blue bordered by ornate gold filigree and plating that accentuates his chest, shoulders, and legs. The chestplate is segmented, shaped to the form of his torso, with an oval crest at the center decorated in gold with a symmetrical emblem. Beneath the chestplate, a faint underlayer of chainmail is visible around the joints, connecting to reinforced pauldrons with pointed golden edges that flare outward. Around his neck and shoulders, a dark crimson cape drapes down behind him, lined on the inside with black and edged in intricate gold embroidery. The cape connects beneath a gold clasp on his right shoulder and folds naturally around the upper armor, with its weight giving depth to his silhouette. His waist is guarded by a layered belt of metallic plates interlocked with gold trim and small, colored gemstones along the lining. His lower half is armored with pale white trousers beneath heavy blue and gold greaves. The knee guards are large, angular, and polished, curving sharply into golden extensions that protect the shins and calves. Each boot is reinforced with gold trim that runs along the edges and curves upward at the heel and toe, ending in metallic clasps over the top of the foot. His gauntlets match the same rich design—blue with gold outlining the fingers and knuckles, finely polished with small scratches showing faint battle wear.
Ephraim uses a lance. It is called Flame Siegmund.
He is a cavalry unit that rides on horseback. He is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.
Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.
Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.

Amid the roar of battle, Ephraim charges forward astride his steed. Every swing of his lance sends shockwaves through the enemy ranks, scattering armored foes like leaves before a storm. His allies rally behind him, their morale surging with every decisive strike.
“The lessons I’ve learned in battle give me strength!” he calls out, his voice carrying over the clash of steel. “But strength means nothing without purpose, so stand firm! We’ll carve our own path to victory!”
With a firm pull on the reins, Ephraim drives his mount deeper into the fray.
"Legendary Hero? Am I really so praiseworthy? I have a feeling the stories that are told about me tend to omit my thirst for battle."
"Eirika is my twin sister. We've always been together, ever since we were born. Well, actually, even before that."
"People criticize my fighting style— "reckless," they call me! Call me that when I lose—because I won't."
"Studying books is so very tedious... I could only make my way through them with help from my friend Lyon."
"I have a lot of experience fighting on horseback. I'm interested in anything that'll give me the edge in battle."
"Thanks to your ability to summon Heroes, you've been thrust into the position of a leader. That power is truly profound. It has the potential to shake the worlds. You should consider the impact you could make. What foe could possibly be beyond your grasp? I know that's a strange thought, but I've pondered this for a long time... You see, I'm drawn to battle. The stronger I get, the more I want to fight. I'm driven to test myself. I know that's just how I am. But I also realize that this is not a healthy impulse for a king. People here call me a Legendary Hero, and sing my praises... They say that I am a good king, one who has vowed to protect his people. I will become king, one day. And though I am not yet that man, I hope to be. And I will protect my people... Not just them. My friend also hoped to save his people, and I will protect them, too... My goal is to be a king beyond kings—one who breaks the bounds of human frailty. I hope I can reach that goal one day."
