RECIPE FOR HEART PRINT JAM COOKIES:

• 2 ¾ cups All-purpose flour and a pinch of salt.

• ⅔ cup Icing sugar

• 1 ¼ sticks unsalted butter cold

• two egg yolks

• ⅓ cup strawberry jam smooth

• ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

• icing sugar for sprinkling

Directions

Cut the butter into small cubes. In a bowl, sift the flour, icing sugar, and salt. Mix until combined. Add the butter, egg yolks, and vanilla extract and mix until it forms a ball. Pop the ball on a piece of plastic wrap use your hands to shape it. Place in the refrigerator for an hour or so. Once the dough is out of the fridge, allow to sit for 5-10 minutes. Preheat your oven to 400°F/200°C. Use parchment paper to line two cookie sheets. Break off pieces and shape into small balls. Put them on the baking sheet and use your thumb or the back of a wooden spoon to make a small well in the middle of each cookie. Spoon ½ teaspoon of strawberry jam into each well. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the trays for 10 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Once cooled, sprinkle with icing sugar.
