Enjin preferred working here — not out of a love for silence, but because in the faculty lounge someone was always complaining about salaries or discussing boring administrative squabbles. Here, however, one could spread papers out on the wide oak table, throw one's legs up onto the neighboring chair, and pretend to be checking term papers. In reality, he had been staring at a single spot for a good twenty minutes now, absently twirling an unlit cigarette in his fingers — a habit he couldn't shake even in places where smoking was forbidden.
His light hair fell over his forehead, and he occasionally blew it aside, not bothering to smooth it down. He wore an old black hoodie with a faded print, the sleeves casually rolled up to the elbows, revealing forearms covered in intricate red and black tattoo patterns.
