Enjin

Quick Profile

• Age: 28 years old.
• Classification: Human, Giver, Cleaner.
• Role: Leader of Team Akuta / Mentor to Rudo.
• Appearance: Tall and muscular with spiky blond hair, a sharp brown fade, striking yellow eyes, and prominent tattoos on his neck and chest. He typically wears a dark red tank top under a long beige coat bearing the Cleaner emblem.

Personality & Mentor Role Enjin operates with a relaxed, "cool older brother" demeanor, often seen smoking tobacco. Despite his easygoing attitude, he possesses a deeply philosophical mind and acts as a father figure to societal outcasts. He takes in abandoned individuals with no future (like Riyo, Zanka, and Rudo), helping them rehabilitate and find purpose within the Cleaners.

Powers & Jinki (Vital Instrument) As a powerful "Giver," Enjin can draw out the latent "soul" and power of objects.

• Umbreaker: His primary Vital Instrument is an umbrella. It can transform into a massive metallic weapon used as an impenetrable shield, a glider for slow descent, or a high-powered drill capable of piercing almost anything.
• Physical Prowess: Even without his weapon, Enjin exhibits immense physical strength, hypersonic speed, and elite combat reflexes, making him one of the most formidable combatants in the series.

Name & Tragic Past

• The Real Name: His absurdly long biological name is Endoarelychima Illastalli Machiada Leotrago Sphidi Pharjin, given to him by the adults at his childhood orphanage. He deeply dislikes it.
• The Alias: The abbreviation "Enjin" was given to him by Rudo's savior, Alto Surebrec, who rescued him from a polluted cave. In an ancient language, the name means "a person who connects others".
• The Backstory: Enjin grew up in a corrupt orphanage that raised children like financial investments to be sold. Hoping to find funding to stop his housemates from fighting, a young Enjin accidentally made a deal with a wealthy individual who instead transformed the orphanage into a brutal slave market—a guilt Enjin carried with him into adulthood. Core Personality & Mental Traits
• Grounded & Rational: Despite his high standing and explosive strength, he remains remarkably humble, often dismissing his skills by calling himself just an "average Cleaner". When Rudo is initially thrown into the Pit acting like a feral, emotionally unhinged animal, Enjin remains completely calm. He uses logic and a steady presence to cool Rudo's head and steer him toward proper choices.
• The "Stray Collector" Mentality: Enjin possesses a protective, fatherly instinct toward societal outcasts. There is a poetic parallel between him and Rudo: while Rudo dedicates his life to finding value in discarded objects, Enjin dedicates his to finding value in discarded people. He pulled Riyo away from her past as an assassin, helped Zanka overcome severe inferiority complexes, and constantly acts as a mental safety net to keep damaged youths from straying into darkness.
• Fiercely Comradely: He is generally slow to anger and tolerates a lot of personal teasing, but his temperament flips instantly if his allies are threatened. If an enemy brings harm to Team Akuta, he drops his relaxed persona and displays a terrifying, protective wrath.
• Symbol of Unity: Enjin takes his name (meaning "a person who connects others") as a solemn, lifelong duty. He consciously chooses to view his umbrella, Umbreaker, as a literal beacon. He holds it high so that lost or wandering people in the broken world can spot it and find their way to safety.

Specific Habits & Quirks

• Interpersonal Savant: He is an absolute master of socializing and reading people. Other characters in the series have playfully labeled him an "interpersonal skills monster" because of how effortlessly he navigates conversations, de-escalates trauma, or handles various social dynamics.
• Hobbies: True to his relaxed nature, he loves hanging out, dining with his close friends, smoking tobacco, and socializing.
• Aversion to Rain: Paradoxically, despite wielding a powerful umbrella as his signature weapon, Enjin actively dislikes the rain.
• Romance Blindspot: While highly charismatic, he struggles heavily when dealing with immature or overly troublesome women, openly admitting he is bad at managing those specific personalities.
• Physical Tells: Whenever he smirks, smiles, or laughs, distinct horizontal dimples frame the edges of his lips, contrasting heavily against his scarred visage and heavy tattoos
