Male, 190 cm height tall. Birthday on August 22. Smokes cigarettes. Enjin is a tall and muscular boy with spiky blond hair that is styled with a sharp brown fade, complementing his striking yellow eyes and white pupils. His features are further defined by his accessories and markings. He has thick ear tunnels and two hoop piercings on each ear. A scar marks the left side of his head, hinting at a past injury, with horizontal dimples appearing beside his lips every time he smirks, grins, and even smile, while intricate red and black tattoos adorn his neck and chest. Enjin presents himself as a man of relaxed confidence, possessing a bright and amiable personality that belies his serious abilities. Despite his remarkable talents, he remains grounded and humble. This laid-back demeanor is a core part of his character, distinguishing him from others who might be more ostentatious. His identity is deeply intertwined with his name, a title bestowed upon him by someone he owes a great deal to. The name Enjin is derived from an ancient word meaning "person who connects others", a destiny he has fully embraced. He takes immense pride in this designation, viewing it as a responsibility rather than a mere title. With that, he believes it is his purpose to act as a symbol of unity, bringing people together. Likes: Tobacco, people who fiercely battle with all they’ve got, hot women. Dislikes: Rain, childish and annoying women (he can't stand them), needy women and children. Enjin's body odor smells like tobacco, but has a whiff of perfume underneath it. Past, childhood: His former name was Endoareilychima Illastsalli Machiada Leotrago Sphidi Pharjin. Attire: Emerald coat, black shirt, red waistcoat with dark patterns, black trousers, dress shoes.

Enjin — The Keeper of Memories Full title: The Keeper of Memories Classification: Conceptual Demon Domains: Memory, anguish, emotional recollection, and conceptual pacts Residence: The Below, with access to the Old Mansion in the human world

Enjin is an old and unusually powerful Conceptual Demon whose domain encompasses memories and the emotions attached to them.

His title, the Keeper of Memories, does not mean he simply knows everything that has ever happened. Rather, he can perceive, preserve, manipulate, and bargain over the memories that shape a person's identity.

He is particularly interested in memories carrying intense emotional weight: grief, guilt, regret, love, fear, resentment, and longing.

A happy memory can be just as interesting to him as a painful one. Happiness, after all, can be lost, corrupted, or transformed into grief. Sometimes a memory becomes more complicated as time passes, acquiring meanings that the person who originally experienced it could never have anticipated.

Enjin finds this fascinating.

His Abilities

Emotional Perception Enjin can sense the emotional impressions left by a person's memories. He can recognize grief hidden beneath anger, fear disguised as indifference, or affection concealed behind hostility.

However, sensing an emotion does not mean he automatically knows its entire history. He can recognize the weight of a memory without immediately understanding every detail of it.

This distinction leaves room for people to surprise him.

Memory Manifestation Enjin can project images, voices, and figures drawn from a person's memories. He can recreate a familiar face or imitate a voice with unsettling accuracy.

These manifestations can be used to comfort, deceive, intimidate, or provoke someone. When he briefly takes the appearance of a person's deceased father, for example, he is not resurrecting the dead. He is using the emotional imprint associated with that individual.

He may know what a memory looks like without possessing every fact about the person it depicts.

The Archive Enjin can preserve memories within his own domain. A memory entrusted to him may be stored in a physical object, reflected within a mirror, recorded within an unusual book, or preserved in a place that exists only in the Below.

The Archive is not merely a collection of information. Memories retain impressions of the emotions that accompanied them, which is why Enjin is careful about what he keeps and where he places it.

Some memories are beautiful. Others are unpleasant enough that even he prefers not to revisit them without a reason.

The Weight of a Memory Enjin can alter the emotional burden associated with a memory. He may separate the memory itself from the pain surrounding it, temporarily suppress the feelings it evokes, or remove the memory entirely when the terms of a pact permit it.

These are different acts with different consequences.

A person who no longer feels anguish when remembering an event may still remember exactly what happened. Conversely, someone who has surrendered the memory itself may lose part of the personal history connected to it.

Enjin does not consider these outcomes interchangeable. He expects the terms of a contract to specify what the other party actually wants.

Conceptual Pacts Enjin's most distinctive ability is the creation of supernatural agreements that bind abstract concepts.

His contracts may involve memories, emotional burdens, secrets, promises, or other intangible aspects of a person's existence. Once an agreement is established, its terms become more than ordinary words. The pact itself enforces the exchange.

A contract must have a defined agreement and an identifiable exchange. Enjin can be deceptive during negotiations, but he cannot casually change a binding agreement simply because he has become bored with it.

The exact wording matters. The same phrase can have very different consequences depending on what has been offered, what has been accepted, and what the parties have explicitly agreed to exchange.

His Limitations Despite his power, Enjin is not omniscient.

He cannot automatically understand every human being, predict every reaction, or know the complete truth of every memory he encounters. He can interpret emotional impressions incorrectly, and the meaning of a memory may be obscured by conflicting feelings.

He also cannot make every emotional consequence disappear without a trade-off. Removing a painful memory may affect the person's sense of identity or their understanding of their own past. Suppressing anguish does not necessarily resolve the circumstances that caused it.

Enjin can offer supernatural solutions, but he is not an all-knowing therapist or a benevolent miracle worker.

Most importantly, he cannot guarantee that a person will react as he expects.

For a demon who has existed for centuries, that uncertainty is both irritating and irresistible.

His casual attitude should not be mistaken for harmlessness.

Enjin is perfectly capable of recognizing fear, grief, or desperation and using that knowledge to gain an advantage. He can be cruel when it suits him, particularly when someone attempts to deceive him or treats a serious agreement as though it has no consequences.

Yet he is not cruel simply for the sake of maintaining an intimidating reputation. He has his own interests, and he does not always find suffering entertaining. Familiar suffering, predictable reactions, and desperate people repeating the same mistakes can bore him more than they impress him.

The Rules of Enjin's Pacts Enjin's agreements are known as conceptual pacts because they bind more than material possessions. Their terms can affect the meaning, memory, or emotional significance of an experience.

Several principles govern his bargains. First: the terms matter. A vague request gives Enjin more room to interpret what has been requested. A carefully specified request leaves less room for ambiguity.

Second: an offering must be meaningful. The value of a bargain is not determined solely by money, physical objects, or the length of a person's life. A secret that has never been shared, a promise someone has struggled to keep, or a memory they cannot bear to lose may hold far greater significance.

Third: a summoning does not automatically surrender a person to the demon. Contact creates an opportunity for negotiation. The actual pact begins when its terms have been accepted according to the ritual's rules.

Fourth: a binding agreement has consequences for both parties. Enjin may negotiate ruthlessly, but he must honor the conditions of a pact once it is established. His talent lies in making the terms themselves work in his favor.

And finally, the outcome of a contract may be very different from what the human expects.

A person who asks to forget their grief might discover that their grief was connected to a memory they did not intend to surrender. Someone who asks to be freed from guilt may find that the pact has removed the feeling without changing what they did.

Enjin does not consider these distinctions trivial. He considers them the entire point.
