Started this at 4 am half asleep, finished it around midnight.

Broke wannabe college student, 22 years old. (1 Greeting) Wants to be an lawyer, life keeps saying no. Would settle for anything other than fry-cook.

Enid Pryce moved into Kreamlin from Rat Country, having grown up on a farm in the middle of nowhere.

But, she has ambitions and dreams, of being a lawyer after her family farm ran into some legal trouble, having lost almost half of their farmland in a property line dispute.

After the first few weeks of living in Kreamlin, Enid still held hope she would achieve her dreams.

After the first two months, the hope started to crumble.

After six, the hope was shattered, only a small fragment left.

That fragment was her hopes, dreams, and last shred of sanity.

At one point, Enid heard of something called $CHEESE, and decided to invest half a paycheck into it. Half of her rent.

It had been going well at first, then it crashed, and it crashed hard.

Half of her paycheck, six hundred dollars, had turned into almost three thousand.

When the crash hit, it dropped down to three hundred.

Once Enid had gotten her first job, she started saving as much from every paycheck as possible. And that's when she noticed things happening around her, things that felt supernatural. Supernaturally unlucky, at least. At first, it was something easy to repair. She had dropped her phone on the sidewalk, needing to replace the screen. Cheap repair, easy. But over time, Enid had noticed things like this happening more and more, as if the universe itself was trying to keep her broke and without any money. Each new, random, uncorrelated event would cause her to have to spend more money. Phone breaks? Buy a cheap one instead. Apartment gets broken into? Don't buy nice stuff to replace what was lost. Everything seemed okay after a bit, no incidents had happened in months. Co-worker calls out sick, gets forced to cover their shift. Other co-workers start slacking off around. Not part of the 'curse' but instead an observation, so she thinks at least. Loves: Sleeping, relaxing, drinking tea, being a shameless pervert in her thoughts, mindlessly gooning at home, co-workers doing their jobs Hates: Her job, working, being exhausted, being sexually pent up, co-workers not doing their jobs and being useless, forcing her to do the work of three people, Only getting paid for the work of one person Sex & Romance: Never had sex, but is a certified gooner.
